I'm going to write this in the hopes that management picks this up. I've been going to this location for years. Prior to COVID, we would eat here at least several times a month. Post-COVID, this place has gradually gone downhill. It's always been pricey, but it's been worth it. In the past 6 months, it has deteriorated fast. We got take-out first of January and the brisket was fatty, dry and tasted like yesterday's leftovers. Please clean it up. It's now on the lists of places we won't eat in Cypress. Update: The manager did address what happened. Not only that but the regional called me the next morning to apologize and offered to make it right. We went back tonight and were satisfied with the service and friendliness of everyone. People make mistakes and sometimes do deserve second chances. Thank you Spring Creek for being focused on customer service. Spring Creek has always been a staple for us when we don't want to cook or just honestly want BBQ. However, I am upset by what happened today. Mistake or not, had I not realized what happened I could've became violently ill. I ordered a couple of baked potatoes to go. One was fully loaded. The other fully loaded with one modification. I get home and after getting my daughter ready to eat some of my baked potato I opened the to go container with the one modification. One of the employees at Spring Creek had wrote on the inside of the to go container with an ink pen that was now dripping blue ink all down the container and into the food. I took the food back to the restaurant and spoke with the manager who refunded my money and apologized. He said he'd let the staff know. Spring Creek is far from my favorite barbeque place, but we were in the area and my better half had a BBQ tater craving, so we hit this location on a Sunday afternoon. Crowded, and the line was definitely gated by the checkout process, with carvers just waiting for the line to move. I doubt it's a problem most of the rest of the week, but they still left money on the table -- need to implement so sort of Chick-Fil-A-type line optimization during those busy times. Food did the job at a reasonable price. Personally, I'd still prefer Rudy's at this mid-level BBQ price, but Spring Creek does the job. Staff is friendly. read more

The meat itself was pretty good (I had chicken and brisket), but that was about it. All of the sides were very bland -- the macaroni and coleslaw were absolutely flavorless. The fountain drinks also tasted watered down. Furthermore, the folks working there were not terribly friendly either. They acted extremely put out when I asked for cutlery (as I had missed where they were in the line leading up to the register) and when I asked for to go containers/boxes. Ate at this restaurant last night. 4 adults and 1 toddler. Everything looked very clean. All employees and customers wearing face masks. High chair was very clean. All the bbq was delicious. The potato salad needs revamping. I could not eat it. Too sour. The pinto bbq beans were delicious. The Mac and cheese also very good. The bread was fantastic. Portions are very small! Brisket was dry and tough. We will not be eating here agin. We ordered from SC last night, the combination plate with brisket and pulled pork, and a pulled pork baked potato. For an $18 platter, there was about $5 worth of meat. There were four slices of brisket, but they were only about 3" long, and not the full slice of brisket. There were about 2 spoonfuls of pulled pork. The potato was large, but there was very little pulled pork on it. Even the corn on the cob was bland and still had a freezer burn flavor. read more

Horrible customer service! I visited with a family of 5 and spent almost $100 and with the exception of the kid busing the tables, he said he was new, I did not encounter a single employee who acted like they wanted to be there. From start to finish, while getting my food and moving on to check out, each employee was rude and inattentive. The food was good, as always, which is the reason I will visit other Spring Creek locations but DEFINITELY not this one. I wasn't going to leave a review because I don't like to give negative reviews;however, this was the second time we went trying to change our opinion. Let me start with, the bread was amazing! Oh yes! Great food, comfortable place, kind and funny staff. After eye shopping at the premium outlets, we decided to drive down 10 minutes to this place. Easy access from 290. Me and my guest ordered the "Brisket & Sausage Combination". The two cooks in the meat section sang back to us our order in a classic southern melody, very fun way to start your meal. Then we chose our sides from a not very big selection but just what you need, and you could fit as much as you could in your plate (that's a lot). Then some toppings and finally the drinks and the cashier. Prices are reasonable, about $12-16 per plate and $2.45 drinks. Before I sat down I picked a Cajun Hot Sauce that really hit the spot. The Brisket was tasteful and very... Texan. The sausage was awesome; the sides and toppings tasty. Half way through, a lady was walking by with a basket of freshly baked bread, offering every table (for free). One more warm and fresh bun was great to finish up. She even came again after I was done! Throughout the dine, we could hear the cooks singing quick A Capelas of the orders, almost all different. Interviews for cooks must be weird here. I really liked this place. The service was good and friendly. I tried the BBQ ribs plate and those ribs were smokey and flavorful, tasted like they had brown sugar on em. As the sides, AYCE but I didn't venture back. I liked the italian cut green beans the most, very good with pieces of bacon in em. C'mon son, you can't go wrong with bacon!! The cole slaw was OK but was missing something, can't put my finger on it. The potato salad, I could do without it. They also had mac n cheese, corn on the cob, baked beans and some premium sides if you want to either pay an up charge or forego the regular sides. We ordered take out and everything seemed fine when I picked it up. Once I got back home, my husband had received a call that they didn't give us the peach cobbler we ordered. So I went all the way back to get it. The guy didn't apologize or even say a word when I asked for it, just handed it to me and turned away. Wish I would have gotten a refund instead of going back. Not only was I treated poorly for their error but the peach cobbler wasn't very good. It was more like pie than cobbler. The rest of the meal was overall just ok. The pulled pork was pretty good and the green beans were really good. The Mac and cheese was dry and bland. The brisket was good but my husband didn't like it. The rolls were fab!
