Decent BBQ BUT: I get it with covid prices went up seems like in most restaurants but 15.95 for a BBQ plate where they use to let you get as many sides as you wanted now limit you to 2 sides us way too much. The 3 meat combo came with 3 slices of brisket, 2 ribs and a small amount of overcooked sausage (15.95) ...Too expensive...please bring back serve yourself sides and the price is tolerable. When I first moved to Arlington back in 2004, it was the first time I had bbq from this place. Overall the the bbq and sides are very good yet affordable as well! My favorite thing about this place are the rolls they are hot and fresh and are always at the ready when you want one! I've noticed over the years this place is very community oriented and takes care of the customers/people in it making Spring Creek a good place to have a good time, go with groups of people and lastly eat pretty good! Bummer, Spring Creek, I wanted you to be so much better. Having grown up eating Spring Creek at least once a week through the 80s and 90s, I expected this visit to be a reminder of all things wonderful and amazing, but it wasn't. The best thing about the visit was having to wait in line because there were no tables and they walked around sampling their jalapeno sausage. It was darn good, should have ordered it. I did order the brisket and it was pretty good, nothing great. The BBQ sauce is a slightly sweet, slightly spicy blend that to me had hints of KC and Texas in it. I tried some ribs off other plates and they were just plain bad. They had little to no meat and the meat that was on them was jerky-like. It's like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for far too long, were barely warm and were dried up. Huge disappointment. Let me preface by saying we only cheated on our local favorite, Big D, because our kiddo got a gift card from school for some achievement or other. (Sorry, Big D, I will see you soon, you're still #1 in my bbq heart!) Spring Creek is, of course, a chain, so there's really an upper level on how good it can be. With that in mind, it wasn't bad. Things I particularly liked were the cole slaw, the rolls, and the BBQ sauce. The ribs were decent but not as tender as I like. The ribs at Bone Daddy's are actually a little better I think. Definitely Big D's ribs are better. I stole a few of my kid's french fries (well, technically he was done with them so I finished them off) and those were pretty good. We had a looooong wait for the fries to arrive but the gentleman who brought them was so apologetic about the wait that he got us a second order. Green beans are standard italian beans, they're good enough for me but I particularly like green beans in general. The mac & cheese is tasty, but not a gourmet mac & cheese at all. Pricewise, it's expensive when you compare it to a top notch joint like Big D and realize you actually pay 3.50 more for a rib plate here, and the food, while decent and certainly edible, isn't anything particularly special. I'm glad we had the gift card or it would have been a nearly $50 meal for 3 people. But one thing they wanted was some BBQ, and this place was close and good. We went during the 4th of July time frame so there were extremely long lines, coming out the front of the door, we had no choice so we had to wait. Fresh bread offered every ten to twenty minutes. I can never keep count but I think I said yes to three rounds of bread and rejected like two. I ate the brisket and the peppered sausage dinner. I kind of regret getting the sausage not because it tasted bad, but because I normally don't like them unless I crave them. All the sides were good, but for some reason the green beans were my favorite. That's a recent addition to my new taste buds because I normally don't like southern cooking styles of some vegetables. My girlfriend loved this place so I decided to give it a try, just moved to Texas so I am digging deep for solid BBQ joints. This one did not let me down! I ordered the St. Louis ribs lunch special and banana pudding, beans had good flavor , potato salad was loaded with good stuff and the ribs were solid. Banana pudding was the best part for me, I can't think of a better banana pudding I have had in my life. Spring Creek is by far the best barbecue in Texas. The food especially the ribs are consistently awesome. My wife and I have been patronizing the Cooper st place in Arlington for over seven years and nobody beats their quality control like them. I have never left there unsatisfied in any way. We had not been in this area for some time and decided to try the BBQ. it was late but we were hungry. I got the 3 meat combo. Not a lot of meat but I piled on the cole slaw and potato salad. The potato salad was really good. Cole slaw was creamy and ok. The brisket was tender but really lacked smokey flavor. The pulled pork tasted/felt like it had been cooked in a slow-cooker all day as it was watery and bland. The sausage was tasty. I went to dinner at what used to be my favorite BBQ restaurant and the food was horrid. I've been going to this restaurant since it first opened for business in Arlington and this is the first time I was unable to eat the food due to the quality being so poor. The brisket was very fatty - as in more fat than meat. The coleslaw was dry with almost no sauce on it. The potato salad was less flavorful. It could have used more relish and mustard or perhaps better quality relish and mustard the kind with flavor. The pepper sausage was okay but nothing to write home about. There is a different BBQ chain with a spicy cheddar sausage that is far better. They didn't even have bottles of Big Red on ice. The only item that I ate that was still good were the fresh out of the oven rolls. Looks like I need to find a new BBQ favorite. This BBQ was amazing! I don't eat pork so finding a place with beef ribs was hard but this place had them and I'm so glad because they were so tasty and so was everything else they had. They make their rolls every 15-20 minutes and these girls come to your table and give you more bread. It's fresh rolls on tap. Hellz friggin yea! I usually eat half of a chopped baker which is basically a giant spud stuffed to the brim with brisket, cheese, sour cream and butter topped with bbq sauce. Yes, this is a heart attack on a plate but I try to focus on happy things when I eat it. Their bbq sauce is pretty tasty in my opinion. The brisket by itself is pretty bland and actually dry. My family usually gets the ribs and are pretty happy with their meal. I promise to try other places (and actually eat bbq) before I come back here :D read more

I love Spring Creek BBQ! I've been eating here since the late 80's and every time I visit the DFW area I HAVE to eat here. My favorite plate is the sliced barbecued beef, which melts in your mouth. The sides are serve yourself so you can have as much as you can fit on your plate. Choices range from green beans, barbecued baked beans, potato salad, and cole slaw. You can also order fried okra, which is a favorite if you were raised in the South. Their barbecue sauce is also serve yourself, so you can add as much or as little as you like, and it is sweet, spicy and delicious....not too thick and not too runny. Perhaps the biggest draw, aside from the barbecue, are the delicious all-you-can-eat freshly baked rolls. Wow! I have at least two or three each visit, and I'd eat more if I had room. They are so delicious that they don't even need butter, and are served hot and fresh out of the oven. Their fresh peach cobbler and Blue Bell vanilla ice cream is to die for! I don't even like cobbler, but theirs is so scrumptious that I have to have some. It has such a sweet cinnamon-y flavor that should not be missed. Make sure you save room for it, or at least split it with someone else. If cobbler and ice cream is not your thing they also have pecan pie, coconut cream pie, and chocolate cream pie...but try the cobbler and ice cream. You won't be disappointed. As far as beverages go they have ice-cold bottled beer, soft drinks, and iced tea, both sweet and regular. The sweet tea is my favorite, and if you were raised in Texas you know that sweet tea is so refreshing on a sweltering hot Texas summer day. I had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding party as Spring Creek and it was great. Everyone loved the food and the prices were more than fair for all that we received. We reserved the banquet room, so we sat separately from the rest of the diners. I don't know how, but I still fit in my wedding dress the next day. If you love barbecue, I highly recommend you give Spring Creek a try. It is such a warm, friendly place and families with kiddos are not only welcome but appreciated. Spring Creek is really underrated. I'm reviewing the location closest to me, but I go to several locations with friends and family and we all agree that our favorite thing about Spring Creek is that the food is always what we expect. First, let me say I have eaten at Spring Creek before and even at this particular Spring Creek within the last year and it was decent, I would say 4 stars. Today, I went to eat with my brother. Even though the serving line staff are doing their cadence chants with each order, it took me two requests to get my order in. I get to the register, the cashier say the total is around $30 and I hand her my debit card. My brother gets a look on his face at the cost of the meal, and the cashier asks if he wants the order repeated and starts ratting off the order, before he even says yes or no. Now, I am paying and have already handed her my card, so why is she so concerned with his look? Maybe because they are used to alot of customers shocked at the prices? I had ordered fried okra, which they gave me a number to bring it to me so we take a seat. (Thank God they make that fresh to order!) The brisket in my sandwich was cut razor thin, and wasn't really enough to even make a sandwich, as the bun they gave was huge and swallowed the meat up. The meat was tasteless, dry and chewy. Disappointd, I look for my okra, and see someone wandering aimlessly around the dining room with a basket and I can't seem to get him to come bring my order to me. Those were fresh cooked but had little breading and no taste either. Another Big disappointment. I see the girl with the bread basket but I never can get her to come over to our table. She hits every one elses table but ours. The floor floaters certainly seemed interested in helping other customers, but not us. If one had, I would have told them their food sucked. But they didn't so my brother and I left our plates mostly uneaten and left. To me, it seemed like a BBQ joint for geriatrics. Bland, tasteless food in small portions at high prices. Almost $2.50 for iced tea? Come on. No wonder most people there had water, I could have had a Riskys, Railhead or Angelos sandwich for the cost of our drinks, and that sandwich would have had more flavor and quantity than what Spring Creek called a brisket sandwich. $30 for two people for 2 BBQ sandwiches w sides, 2 drinks and a piece of pie?
