My coworker BFF suggested we try Bodacious BBQ as they feel it's okay to go all over and ignore that our lunch is actually 30 minutes, and not 120 minutes. However, I discovered it is truly the best tasting BBQ I have had in Texas in a few years! Barring what occurred a few years ago, I remember the last really good BBQ was in Mansfield (I will post the name in the edit). If I could give 0 stars I would. This was some of the worst BBQ I've ever had. Is flavorless, and customer service definitely makes it even worse. They gave me expired condiments, and when I called to express my concerns, she neglected me and told me I would be fine n I could "just eat it". I was offered in store credit. Trust me I know I could've just eaten it, but is the principle. I felt like I was bothering her, or as if I was a nuisance after expressing my concerns. The sides were limited spicy beans, green beans, pasta salad, mac n cheese & deviled eggs. I choose green beans & mac n cheese to be on the safe side. Confused how there are so many high ratings for this place... The BBQ at Bodacious is exceedingly mediocre and horribly overpriced. I paid $60 for two two meat plates with a meager portion of meats on both plates. The sides were flavorless and bland.. the macaroni and cheese had black pepper in it.... Black pepper. The BBQ sauce was bland... the ribs were Ok, one of my ribs was nearly all fat- clearly not paying attention to what is being served. The ribs weren't warm and were just sitting out when cut-- the sausage quality was poor, fatty and again lacked flavor. The highlight was the chocolate cake And raspberry cheesecake-- but that's not why we came here. Wow - just what we were looking for! We were looking for great Texas BBQ and Bodacious did not disappoint. This unassuming little building opened up to a counter of delicious meats, serve your own sides (so many choices!) and desserts galore. We had perfectly tender and incredibly flavorful ribs, wonderfully spicy beans, hot and juicy corn on the cob, tangy and flavorful potato salad, and some of the best coleslaw I've had! I highly recommend the jalapeños as well, crisp, bright, and super spicy. Another surprising star? The homemade banana pudding, and oh my gosh you'll want 3 - one for now, one for breakfast, and one for a midnight snack. So much fun, and the nicest staff anywhere. Typical have amazing BBQ and I personally love the atmosphere. It has a comfy feeling, the lighting feels like a rustic cabin, I feel right at home here. The food was great, hot, fast, delicious and of course mouth watering. The nice lady and gentleman that we're working were very helpful and answered any questions I had. I would love to give you a 5 star review, however... the radio station you had playing the evening I came in was focused around religion, Christian gospel readings, and focused on all things such. Came in during lunch time and was able to get through the line very quickly. The service was very friendly and guided everyone through their meats and processes. I get pork ribs and brisket at every BBQ place I try, unless they have Beef ribs then I will definitely get that! The ribs were fall off the bone and tasty. They have a crispier rub on the outside with a hint of sweetness. The brisket was too dry for my taste. I tend to ask for the fattier or more marbles cuts. Also I don't think it was a fresh cut so that may have added to it. I actually had to put salt and pepper on the brisket , which is something I never do. read more

I was visiting friends locally who decided we would go out for local bbq for dinner. Bodacious was the closest to their house, even though they had not previously been there. It was quiet, with good food and great hospitality. The Family Pack is a good deal for 4, perhaps with an extra side or two. The brisket was lean. The sausage was my favorite. I thought the pulled pork could have had a bit more flavor, but that's nothing a little sauce - or, as I did, putting it between buns with the pickles - doesn't make better. Our sides were really good, creamy cole slaw and cheesy-smooth mac and cheese. The only thing they were out of was unsweetened iced tea, and we got some mileage out of that ("Y'all know that's not a thing here, right?"). Very friendly and patient staff, especially to those who cannot make up their mind regarding which delicious food to order. They have different plate options for brisket, pork, sausage/links, or ribs. They have a good condiment bar/sides bar that you can help yourself to. Self-serve but pay at the end which is a pretty different concept from having the staff just pouring it for you. I ordered the 1/2 ribs and 2 sides plate. The ribs were smoked and cooked very well, not fall off the bone but enough for you to bite into it and rip it easily. They have extra BBQ sauce on the side if you need it. I got 2 other sides of mac-and-cheese and cold pasta. Those were pretty good too! You have other choices of corn, bread, beans, or coleslaw. I hope I am not forgetting anything but this is it. It's like they've been sitting there for days. The mac and cheese was chewy...like the noodles were cooked too long or had been heated up one too many times. First, quality of the 1Lb brisket. Dry and overcooked. Most of the bark was missing so ended up with a dried out brisket with no bark. Next the server had to be reminded to include the side I ordered. Staff doesn't bother to check if the order is correct. I would not recommend this restaurant. Stopped after an AT&T Stadium tour. Amazing location right across the street from the stadium. Noticed they are closed on Sundays. I liked the cafeteria style setup. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich, then self service picked coleslaw and macaroni/cheese. Meat is not sauced, but you could add sauce or get a side container of it in the cafeteria line. I was hoping for a few sauce choices, but only seemed to be one choice. Macaroni was really good. I was hoping for creamier coleslaw. Sandwich was good but not amazing. A most excellent place, man. In the mood for some Texas BBQ, my dad and I stopped in here for dinner after having visited Arlington's Six Flags earlier in the day. Despite being nearly devoid of patrons at evening primetime, coming here turned out to be a great decision. We were greeted shortly after walking in and immediately chose 2, 2-meat combo plates: he got the sausage links + chopped brisket, and I opted for the pulled pork + rib tips. At a joint like this, the side dishes are almost as important as the main course, and Bodacious did not disappoint. Terrific baked beans, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and pre-wrapped bread slices to soak up the bar-be-que juices, a quirky touch. As you might imagine, having all this laid out before me was sheer nirvana. I also got a sweet tea from a plastic pitcher which led me to believe it was homemade. The banana pudding parfait capped off a delightful meal. There was a decent condiment selection; it's always good to see my favorite Tabasco on hand, and they also had a chili pepper oil that I wound up sloshing over my pulled pork. To top it off, pro wrestling was being shown as we ate, which made for a hugely entertaining meal. This hole in the wall bbq joint is everything you would expect. The staff are fantastic, the bbq is good, the prices are fair. My favorite thing here is hands-down the pork ribs. They're phenomenal. I've never had anything here I didn't enjoy, and my family has gone to bodacious several times a year for at least half a decade now. There were two attempts to eat here, first one failed bc they ran out of food but nbd this place seems popular. Second try was a Saturday, we came earlier this time and yay they were open! Parking: heads up, they sell parking spots here for ranger and cowboy games. I've also saw tailgates at the back of the lot too. If you're there to eat, don't worry, they have spots save for you still! (At least in my case) but if they run out of food then they close and the lot's for the game. Service: ordering goes cafeteria tray style making it fast to get your food. The cashier working seemed kinda annoyed the whole time, long day? Food: we got the family bundle (it's named something else but same concept) and 1 lb order of ribs. For the bundle we picked the lb of sliced brisket and 1/2 lb of pulled pork. Reallyyy wished we did the it other way around tho. Brisket was good, just too lean for my taste. The pulled pork was REALLY flavorful. The ribs were kinda underwhelming. It is smoked so I can see how it'd shrink a bit but these were pretty small, like more bone and less meat. The deal also comes with two sides, we got potato salad and Cole slaw. The salad was ok but nobody in my family liked the Cole slaw. Overall mostly everything was average for a kinda pricey meal so idk if I'd come again.
