    The line at 9am
    Stephen D.

Easily top 5 bbq spots in the country! I never thought I would have fun waiting in a line for food, but it was so much fun and should be on every bbq lovers list to do. I got here at 9am (2 hours before opening) and the line was already snaked around. The time flew by. From start to finish was about 3 hours. 2 hours waiting before opening and about an hour once they opened. Food review: Brisket- top tier. Pull apart, great smoke ring and delicious. Turkey- 9/10- should be on everyone's list to get when they are here. Jalapeno&Cheddar Sausage- 8/10. Delicious but not as juicy as Hutchins Lao Sausage- 6/10. Decent but not something I would get again. Not sure if they do this all the time or if it was a special. Sides Mac &Cheese- if you like creamy mac&cheese, get the large! 10/10 Beans- good and would order again but I would probably only get the small Dessert- banana pudding 7/10. Good flavor.

*sighs* I said I was gonna gate-keep this from all my friends, but I can't. Firstly, we got EXTREMELY lucky with how short our line was. We came at noon on a gloomy Thursday morning and we were able to sit down and eat our food at 1pm. Service was quick! Staff was extremely friendly and hilarious, making the experience a good one from top to bottom. Great job, team. Barbecue was TO DIE for. Some of the best I've had in all of DFW. It's a bold claim, I know, but you've gotta go try it for yourself. Brisket was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth, the jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing, and the sides were PHENOMENAL. Great mac and cheese. The space is clean, small, and cozy. Would love for more seating for the sake of the line, but I understand the hype and exclusivity appeal. Very southern, very mobile-home, very cool. Well done.

checked out Goldee's Barbecue on a Saturday around 12:05 p.m., and there was definitely a line, but not as bad as I expected. It wrapped a bit around the building, and seeing stacks of camping chairs told me people had been there early. Still, we got through the line and had food in about an hour. Quick tip, I saw someone on Reddit suggest getting there around 1:30 p.m., and honestly that is the move. By the time we were seated, the line had dropped to just a few people, and when we left around 2 p.m., there was no line at all. We even walked right back up to grab merch with zero wait. They still had almost everything too, only the mac and cheese was sold out. Now the food was absolutely worth it. Our full spread was about $84, which felt super reasonable for the quality and amount. Brisket was insanely tender and moist, it just melts. Pork belly was the star for me, rich and juicy, and paired with this light almost jam like sauce that cuts the fat perfectly. The jalapeño cheese sausage was probably the best I have ever had. The Lao sausage was super fragrant with lemongrass and garlic, really unique and flavorful. They also give you sticky rice, which was so good, and free water bottles. They even threw in a free sausage for us, which was a really nice touch. Overall everything was dialed in, from the food to the experience. I would 100 percent come back. Just time it right and you can skip the long wait.

If you are in DFW area, this is something you have to experience at least once. We took a Friday off work , set our alarms, and got in line around 7:45 AM. We brought folding chairs and a cooler with adult beverages. The set up is actually well thought out with portable toilets and a hand washing station so you're comfortable while you wait. While in line, we met BBQ lovers from all over. The closer you are to the front, the better the show. You get a front row view of those massive smokers, watching them tend the fire and add wood and load in the meats. It's BBQ theater! Around 11 AM, someone comes out and explains what's on the menu that day. This is when you should lock in your order. I'll explain why later. They lead in small groups at a time, which is honestly genius. It keeps things moving while giving people time to order and find a seat in the small dining area. When you walk in, it all hits you. The smell, the energy, the sound of butcher paper being unwrapped. It is a full on sensory overload. My mouth is watering, my brain was trying to keep up, and suddenly remembering my order felt like high high-pressure!! Here's how it works, you tell one person your order, they shouted down the line eventually to the cashier and everything moves fast. We thought we had it together, but in the chaos, we got charged for four ribs we never received. Lesson learned, know your order and check your tray. What we did get was incredible that included a massive Dino rib, slices of brisket, two kinds of sausage, turkey and several sides. The mac & cheese is a must. Plus they include plenty of their homemade white bread. I won't ruin it by saying more about the food. Let's just say that there is a reason they earned a Michelin star. This wasn't just a meal, it was a whole experience.

It's Brisket,Sausages,Pork Belly and one Pork Rib. I got a side of beans.

I was in Dallas for the Electric Callboy concert and I knew I had to try Goldee's since it wasn't far away. It was a cold and rainy day in the middle of April. I assumed that the line would be smaller because of that. I was wrong. I got there at about 9:30 am. The line was still long. I stayed and I finally got inside the building around 12pm. I got a pound and a half of brisket, half a pound of pork belly, one pork rib and three sausage links. The hot link, the jalapeño cheese and the regular sausage. The brisket was amazing. The pork belly was pretty good as well. The sausages and the pork rib were just okay in my opinion. They gave me the hot link sausage for free. The line moved fairly quickly and the employees were very friendly. They seemed happy to work there. It was a great experience, but I will have to admit something important. I'm a bbq connoisseur and I am coming to the conclusion that waiting for hours for great bbq isn't worth it anymore. Goldee's BBQ was good. I would suggest finding a place in the city that you live in that has good bbq and skip waiting in long lines for hours. Places like Goldee's are a one and done or a once every few years or so. By the way,all the food I got totaled with tip $150. The money and your time makes it not worth it in my opinion.

Best BBQ in DFW! Arrived on a Friday at 10:55am and had to wait just over 2 hours in line. The team serving the food was super nice & encouraging. They did run out of several things before we made it to the counter, so get here early if you want something specific! There are 8 tables with old rustic decor & you typically are sharing a table unless you have a 4 person party. Got a little of everything, with standouts being everything. Specially liked the pork belly, ribs, and banana pudding (with no banana chunks & cinnamon crunchies instead).

I wish I could rate this place 5 stars to the moon. It's the best bbq you can find in the DFW area! Easy to find parking but it's a long wait and you will want to get here incredibly early. We showed up an hour before opening and waiting for 2.5 hours. Sunscreen, umbrella, bring them! There are seats in case you want to sit down. I had Banana pudding - I'm so proud of them I loved the crumby parts. I got 3! Brisket baked beans were fantastic, no mistakes were had here. Lemon kale slaw salad - I desperately needed a salad with all the meat I got, haha! I wish I got a second one cuz that was sooo refreshing. Brisket - moist, smoky, salt and pepper, and the meat was soft enough to melt in your mouth. They nailed the brisket to be the best it can be! The "avashar" sausage - pork lamb beef with chives garlic mustard seeds nutmeg. This is a new(?) specialty sausage was a hole run with the variety of flavors melting with the fat. Jalapeno cheddar sausage (Tillamook cheese) - I'm biased I always go for a jalapeno cheddar sausage and I love it. House sausage - mustard seed, garlic, black pepper also delivered. I didn't expect to always want mustard seed in my sausage after this! Overall, I come back here for special occasions for friends visiting since it's a long wait. I love the sausages the most and their sweets. The rest are the best versions of themselves and I praise them for the outstanding bbq! Eat here in a cute cabin like home.

It's real... 3 hrs later lol

I'll give it a five stars because everything was great. They ran out of a few items by the time we reached of them. The people working there were so friendly so great to give us some updates of what's left on the menu. The the staff was awesome. I would like to come here again, but my family that I came with said it's a one and done for them. They would rather go to Daynes combined at all because I do love Daynes Bbq. Send it outside they give you chairs so you can sit in line. They also provide water and sometimes beer. Just be careful when the wind picks up the dust from the parking lot I'm straight at you. Small seating area inside a little bit on the outside. All in all great experience. Thanks for all who keep this establishment running beautiful place great barbecue.

I've been hearing about Goldee's for years! The keep getting called "the best barbecue in Texas," "maybe the best anywhere." I've made excuses, missed chances, and built it up in my head to a level that almost felt impossible to live up to. Today, I finally made the trip. And somehow, it still exceeded every expectation. I'll admit, I'm not someone who hands out 4- or 5-star reviews easily. I tend to nitpick. I look for flaws. But let me be clear upfront: this is not just the best barbecue I've ever had and it might be the best food I've had, period. I showed up about two hours before opening on Easter Sunday and was shocked to find the line relatively short, around 15 people ahead of me. The atmosphere alone was worth the wait. The pit crew was already outside working the smokers, chatting with guests, and setting the tone. Everyone, staff and customers alike made the time fly by. Once doors opened, I was ordering within about 15 minutes. Now, the food. The brisket was unreal. A perfect bark, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and so juicy it almost didn't make sense. The flavor was deep, balanced, and unforgettable. The house special sausage? Easily the best sausage I've ever had. Snappy casing, rich seasoning, and just an incredible depth of flavor. The pork belly and turkey were just as impressive both insanely juicy and cooked to absolute perfection. It's rare to see that level of consistency across every meat, but Goldee's delivers. Sides are often an afterthought at barbecue joint, but not here. The mac & cheese was rich and perfectly cooked. The potato salad was exactly what you want it to be, dialed in with no shortcuts. The kale salad added a fresh, flavorful contrast, and the housemade bread tied everything together beautifully. The only minor hiccup: my pulled pork and potato salad were initially missing from my tray. But as soon as I mentioned it, the staff corrected it immediately no hassle, no attitude, just great service. At this level of quality, that's barely a footnote. Goldee's isn't just living up to the hype, it's redefining it. I genuinely don't know how barbecue gets better than this. Five stars, without hesitation.

As a visitor who has heard about the hype of Goldees, I read up on the reviews beforehand and prepared as much as I can with the two hour wait. Our group got there at 8 AM (just in case) and they provide chairs for folks to sit. They open at 11 AM but we were already 10th in line when we got there. Parking fills up so expect to walk further the later your arrival time. Porta potties are available to use as you wait. They are also only open from 11 AM to 3 PM (or until sold out) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays! Depending on the time of year, it could get chilly so bring a jacket or something to wrap yourself around. As we were waiting, we could smell the barbecue smoke and that only made the anticipation build even more. This place is truly a transformative food moment. The hype is deserved! While turkey may not have been the intended star of the show, it was for me. It was tender and melted in my mouth. Our group got a little bit of everything from the brisket to the pork belly to the ribs. The pickled onions with the pork belly is just chef's kiss and I usually don't add sauce to the meat because I'm a purist that thinks meat should hold its own. Now, I understand how sauce could enhance and bring out the flavors of the meat and be sweet at the same time! If there is one thing I may pass up on the next time, it's the sausage. I would also probably get more pork belly and more turkey. The ribs were okay but not as mind blowing as the other two. I was generally so happy eating that I could sleep then and there from pure bliss. Service was incredible. They went above and beyond for us and took photos. The banter is truly indicative of that Southern hospitality where everyone feels like family and they helped us pack everything up to go because there was no way we could finish. To go containers are available and no separate checks so plan this out beforehand if you have a larger party.

Got here at 8:50 and ready to wait for this BBQ!!

Arrived around 8:45 of an overcast Sunday. We were probably 20th in line and I would say the line started to wrap around 9:30-10. We probably got inside to order around 11:15. While we had a plan going in to ordering, we still overestimated ourselves. We wanted to get a little of a lot of things and definitely would've ordered less. (However, we're proponents of savoring and appreciating the few bites you have - which is hard to quantify when you're ordering by the pound). The pork belly was easily our favorite (a surprise for us); I liked it without the peach glaze and he liked it with. Both sides of the brisket were phenomenal and the smoke ring was thick. Ribs were delicious but by this point we were wishing we split one. The slaw I was initially feeling would be underwhelming but it perfectly cut through the grease and fat of the meat. The potato salad was Dijon forward which I usually wouldn't be a fan of but this was done with balance. The bread. Tangy and chewy and wow a big surprise on how delicious it was. We asked if we could sample the turkey (but ordering turkey wasn't part of our plan) and can honestly say it was the best turkey I've ever had at a BBQ place and they threw in a slice for us. Banana pudding. Get it. I think it's worth the wait in line for sure. Bring a snack, a drink, a book , or game to play and you'll notice the time flying by like we did. (Although we didn't go when the weather was insanely hot or sunny)

Ribs, ribs and brisket Mac n cheese n potato salad!

Ok I heard some people complaining about the two hour wait. Well, all I can say is pack a little cooler, bring a chair and sit your butt in that chair because when that two hour wait is up you are going to be amazed at how good this food really is. Look folks this gig has a Michelin star attached to it, and for those of you who don't know what that is look it up and you can see it's a big deal. This barbecue is well worth the wait. Next time I'm in Fort Worth I know I'm coming here again. And I will be prepared for a two hour wait and you should too! Also be prepared for the food explosion that is going to blow your mind away. In plain talk this place is just YUMMY! Come here and eat to your heart's content and your stomach will thank you! So will your brain. You'll be happy, and after all, don't you want to be happy! Come here and get it done. In health and happiness! Cheers!

Even though I've been here before, the BBQ has gotten much better and noticeably improved since they were awarded a Michelin star. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I just wish they had added Cornish hen and sausages to the tray. Overall, I'd come back to try other items. The line is usually about 2 hours wait, so be prepared to go early and maybe bring a chair. They also accept preorders.

Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

With a bit more seasoning and flavor, the sides could be the hit of the location, and this I think will come with time and practice. Brisket was on the dry side, maybe overcooked, and could have used some better trimming before cooking I think. Did not try sausages or chicken, but both looked appetizing. They are still dialing in their pits is my guess, and expect cook quality to improve with a time. Quality of meat may also be worth considering. Overal, Brown's is definitely worth a visit, and as they find their groove they could be a contender. I came back on early Saturday evening after a nice cooling rain. It was pleasantly not crowded. I got a couple of empanadas from one truck and a couple of smash burgers from another. Both items were delicious. When I go back, I want to try something from the hibachi grill. I got an Oakcliff smashburger and my son enjoyed a Dallas. We loved our burgers. You could tell they were made fresh with chunks of avocado and bacon for me! The empanadas were good if a bit small. The dough pocket could have been premade, so I'll have to try something else from that food truck. That's the beauty and draw of a food truck park as pi your able to try have what you want and still eat together! I hope people come out and give this place a try. Come check it out, they got something for nearly everybody!

Their arepas are absolutely unreal: crispy on the outside, perfectly soft inside, and packed with incredible flavor. The food park has a great vibe, tons of variety, and the location in Arlington is super central and easy to get to. I've been here with family, with friends, on my own -- always a great experience. If you're looking for Venezuelan food in Arlington or the best arepas in the DFW area, you HAVE to find Autana at Ghost Food Park. Don't miss it!

I already love this place because I can bring my dogs, and that's always a big plus for me. I just wish their dog park was a little bigger and maybe had a few more things in there. I just want the best for my dogs. Other than that, everything was nice. The drinks were really good and they have so many different options to choose from. The staff working there were also really nice, especially the one helping us out. I forgot to catch his name, but you'll probably spot him in one of the pictures. He was super sweet and helped us decide what drinks to get. All of my dogs really enjoyed it too. I didn't ask, but I do wish they had some kind of dog menu so they could enjoy something too. They do have cold water for the dogs though, which was really nice. It was pretty hot when we went, but they had fans going all around, and if you want, they also have indoor seating. Overall, it's just a really vibey place and I always enjoy coming here.

Heaters inside & campfires outside for extra warmth are a plus too. Would love to come back for the night vibes! Cocktails & shots on the menu! String lights and a lit up Ferris wheel outside ($5/ride or $10 all day pass). Plenty of clean (and hysterically decorated) bathrooms on each side too!
