I tried the sliced Brisket sandwich. BRisket was the star-tender and seasoned good. They could improve if they toasted the bun, it was too moist almost soggy. Their bbq sauce, which tasted great, could to be thicker. Potatoe salad was fine but their smoked mac n cheese could be improved-maybe its the cheese which tasted canned. Atmosphere and customers were vintage. Really interesting taxidermies all over, deer, moose, bears etc. Hey, its cool western vibe. This is Cow Town, afterall. Place hasnt been renovated in 50-60 years. Good value for your$. I would eat here again.

While Angelo's is a very historic barbecue joint, that also means that it is relying on It's prior accomplishments rather than what it's doing today. I have been eating here since the early 80s, and it's getting to the point where I'm considering not eating here again. It's never been one of my favorite places, as I am not a big fan of a yellow mustard based barbecue sauce, but they do have amazing cold beer served in frozen fishbowl mugs. My wife and I decided to have lunch at Angelo's today and we both have the stuffed baked potato choice of meat with chopped barbecue. $13.50 per plate. What shocked me was that they charged $.75 for about a tablespoon of grated cheese. Seriously? $13.50 for a baked potato and a charge for that little bit of grated cheese just seemed petty. All told with drink and tip it was pushing $40 for two people for average barbecue So unless you want the nostalgia of eating at Angelo's, there are much better places to eat barbecue in Fort Worth.

I went to Angelo's with a few coworkers for a quick lunch. My expectations were not too high, but the experience for sure met and may have even exceeded the expectations. The team has speedy service and prices were realistic, especially for barbecue. There wasn't anything that stood out flavorwise, but the green beans, coleslaw, and sauce all complemented the juicy smoked chicken pretty well. What an interesting and eclectic decor they have!

A trip down memory lane. My father has been coming here since the 60s and it hasnt changed much. The barbq is good and was hot and fresh. The service was okay they gave me a wrong side. The potato salad was meh but the mac was decent. If you are in the area please stop by and try it. Also the animals on the walls are from every nook of the world very cool!

Have been here several times. This visit I wasn't particularly hungry, so I just got an order of the jalapeño poppers. $10 for 4. Stuffed with smoked turkey and wrapped with bacon. Not much cheese in there but that's ok with me. Would get again! Place was pretty quiet at 5pm on a Wednesday.

Angelos has been there for many years, always solid bbq. Enjoyed their beef ribs. Atmosphere is not fancy, basic Texas BBQ.

"Sabar BBQ: Where the lamb ribs made me want to high five a stranger."…read more TL;DR: Get there early, order the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, let Zain carve you a plate of happiness, and prepare to have your taste buds do a Texas two-step with Pakistani spices. Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

With a bit more seasoning and flavor, the sides could be the hit of the location, and this I think will come with time and practice. Tried the greens (little bland, but wonderful texture), Mac and Cheese (actually seasoning was spot on), and beans (with meat...meh). The greens and MC were the hits for sure. Brisket was on the dry side, maybe overcooked, and could have used some better trimming before cooking I think. Did not try sausages or chicken, but both looked appetizing. They are still dialing in their pits is my guess, and expect cook quality to improve with a time. Quality of meat may also be worth considering. Overal, Brown's is definitely worth a visit, and as they find their groove they could be a contender. Right now would put them at a fair 3.5 stars, but the energy, great attitude (smiles means repeat business), and great beginnings is worthy of 4 stars even now, and a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

I came back on early Saturday evening after a nice cooling rain. It was pleasantly not crowded. I got a couple of empanadas from one truck and a couple of smash burgers from another. The explanation given that the system "couldn't handle the wind" is deeply concerning. If awnings advertised and installed for cold weather cannot be safely used in windy conditions, that is a serious operational and safety issue that should be addressed before guests are seated underneath them. Instead, customers were left exposed, freezing, and ignored. What made this worse was not the weather, but the complete lack of accountability or alternative solutions. No effort to relocate guests, no escalation to management, just repeated refusal. This reflects poor planning and even worse customer care. Management should take this seriously. The BBQ sauce Sweet Baby Ray's, which is fine, but don't label it as your BBQ sauce and then give me SBR with my to-go order. There is a housemade glaze that we all thought was very odd - had a strong raisin/date flavor and it was sweet. The only things we could think of that it might taste good on were something sweet like a cinnamon roll, or maybe to glaze a ham. I tried it with the pulled pork and didn't love it.
