(A little salty but I Ike them anyway!) My wife alway goes for their fall off the bone baby backs and I typically get brisket (the fatty end) naturally! Their pulled pork is great as well! Slaw is killer and their sweet tea is awesome too! Bought takeout for a neighborhood get together and it was a 300 dollar hit!!! It fed a lot of folks! Mother's Day experience at Spring Creek Barbecue 2026 at the Cooper location in Arlington. First, I haven't been feeling well lately due to some health issues, but I was really craving some brisket. I decided to place a curbside pickup order because I didn't feel up to going inside the restaurant. After submitting my order online, I noticed the system had changed my sides. Instead of one green beans and one okra, it somehow switched to double okra. I immediately called the restaurant to see if someone could simply correct it to one green beans and one okra. The lady who answered the phone told me no, they couldn't make the adjustment and that I would need to come inside and speak to a manager. At that point, I just said never mind and asked them to leave it alone because I really wasn't feeling well enough to go inside. When I arrived for curbside pickup, I called and gave them my order number. Then I was told, "We don't have the manpower for curbside pickup, so you'll need to come inside." That was already frustrating because the whole reason I ordered curbside was to avoid going into the restaurant and simply grab my food and leave. Since I now had to go inside anyway, I decided to ask again about correcting my order. I explained the situation to the young lady at the counter, and she told me, "You can't have one green beans and one okra because the okra is considered premium, so you only get the one okra." At that point, I said forget the okra altogether and just give me green beans instead. Honestly, with my health issues, all that fried okra probably wasn't the best idea anyway. She removed the okra from the bag, went back to the kitchen, and got the green beans. While I was waiting, I asked another young lady if extra bread was available. She told me that for takeout orders, extra bread costs 15 cents each. That honestly made no sense to me considering bread is complimentary when dining inside the restaurant, but there's an extra charge for takeout. By then, I was completely fed up. I just waited for my green beans and left. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience. I thought correcting the order during my first phone call would have been a simple fix to make sure my food was right. Instead, it turned into one issue after another: "No, we can't change it." "No, you can't have one green beans and one okra." "No complimentary bread for takeout -- that's extra." In addition, the brisket was pale and bland. I used to LOVE Spring Creek, it was a staple in my childhood. Went here with a teacher appreciation coupon and it was the worst food experience I've had in years. The meat was cold and soggy, the plates, cups, and silverware were dirty, I received a hockey puck for a roll, and the mac and cheese was cold. Tried the Spring Creek BBQ Thursday the 29th of January 2026, the prices are the highest in DFW, and the meat is at best poor quality , the sides are OK, corn is a 5 star, and bread is a 5 star always fresh cooked, i don't order beef any more as it is dry and just a low quality meat, I only order turkey this time, ate 1 slice and noticed the turkey had a bad spot in it , so I just ate the one slice and brought the rest home to our dogs, the cost for a few rolls and a 1/2 half corn on the cob was way - way high, if i go back, i will only order vegetables and rolls. read more

Spring Creek is a traditional Arlington place to go. They have basic Texas barbecue that is excellent. I love their free rolls that they go around. I always have to have those get lots of butter. They're amazing. I love their sides and their homemade pies. They also serve bluebell ice cream there so you can get you know another Texas favorite. But one of my favorite things about the place is that when the original owner was running it they used to always give Teacher appreciation certificates for the barbecue on teacher appreciation day so you could come in with your family and have a dinner on them and even when they expired they still. They're very very sweet to do that for the community. I think they still do it, but it doesn't cover a meal it just kind of gives you a coupon so but still I really appreciate what they do for that. And whenever how fresh bread comes out, they walk around from the tables passing it out. I love seeing them coming. read more

Southern Californian visiting my pops in Arlington, TX. We went to Spring Creek for the first time and this place delivers! The meats and sides were fresh and delicious! Loved the rustic country feel of the place too. First we met William, "person who gave meat". He not only did that, he chopped our brisket live and explained the process like a guru. He was good, very good. Then was Shelby "person who gave sides", I'll add "Queen of the sides", "master of mac n' cheese". She made the sides and she knew everything. Every. Thning. We made a reservation two months ago and confirm 1 day prior to the event and this spring creek in Arlington had double booked. The morning of the event, 3 hours before the event, they called us to let us know that they'd made a mistake by double booking and would not be able to give us the private room. The strange thing is that the same person that reserved two months prior, was the same person that confirmed the day prior. Several things--#1, it's FREE ---nothing extra to reserve the space. #2, it's BBQ--most all love BBQ (unless your vegetarian ) and it's good BBQ, #3 they have several locations. WOW, I cannot believe I've never reviewed this place. This is a local chain that, in my humble opinion, makes some of the best BBQ that I have ever had. I know many BBQ snobs that would never eat here because they are snobs (LOL) but I'll also guarantee that they have never eaten here. It's pretty solid and I like the buffet style where you run the line and pick out the meat, some vegetables and drink. Reminds me of being a kid in Fort Worth and going to Luby's cafeteria.
