The tortillas come out crispy with that perfect little cheese crust, and the meat is super tender and packed with flavor. You can tell they put some real time into cooking it right. The best part is dipping the tacos in the consommé. That broth is rich and smoky and just takes the whole taco to another level. It's messy, but that's how you know it's good. This was my first time visiting the store front, and it was so cool finally being able to see it! They worked so hard to get to where they are now we will always support!! The food was great like always, they posted they had a special that day and it looked so good we had to get it!! The only thing I wish the potato came with was bbq sauce and sour cream, but that's just me. It was still super flavorful either way! The service was great, the person working the register was so nice, she even remembered my name when I was walking out the door! This is definitely still one of my favorite bbq places in Arlington! Eaten at 225 several times over the years. Think every visit was when they were parked at Division brewing. Always liked the bbq, but it got to where my visits were mostly to try something new they were touting on Facebook or whatever. Best thing I like about 225 is the non bbq, bbq stuff they make. They just opened in their building, I was out running errands and decided to go check them out. Early afternoon on a weekend. Not super busy, good for me, I looked at the menu above the register. I really was just going to grab a sandwich, but honestly didn't see any sandwiches offered on the menu. Maybe I just missed it, but before I could ask, I was intrigued by the Chipotle nachos. Cashier wasn't sure what was on them, which was a little amusing, but I stopped her and just asked "there is some kind of meat on them, right?" when she nodded and said yes, I told her that was good enough for me. I got a soda from the fountain (No Coke, Pepsi!...but I drink DP anyway) and grabbed a seat at the bar. They saw my number and dropped off my nachos soon after. It was a pretty big pile, plenty for two. I saw the meat was pulled pork, with lots of cheese, and a few other veggie type things, with a sauce (chipotle probably) drizzled on top of everything. They were really good, and not skimpy on the meat. I finished off a pretty good amount of them. My only issue is the chips they use are thick, which is probably good to put off the chips getting soggy quickly, but I still prefer thinner chips. Not a deal breaker, I would get the nachos again. Inside is pretty barren. I think the two pool tables must be leftover from when it was Mavericks sports bar. Doesn't look like they changed much. But I come for the food, not the ambiance. They have birria tacos, think I saw birria ramen, several other regular, non bbq menu items. I remember when they did the pork belly sandwiches, those things were great. No booze, but BYOB. Anyway, glad to see them in a nice, air conditioned space. Over the years I would pass by during summer months because it was just to hot to sit outside. read more

They have recently moved from a food truck to a brick and mortar so the inside is still a work in progress but they have lots of seating, tvs and it's clean. Ribs were ok in the usual Texas manner but I was raised on ribs in Memphis by the great John Wills. Ribs should be trimmed and peeled and spritzed in the cook. But as Texas ribs they are fine. Birria tacos were great, but this time shrimp tacos were far too heavy with cheese and the shrimp weren't grilled and seemed more like scampi. They would be better grilled and more like San Diego fish tacos. Street corn was heavy handed with crema and cheese; it's too rich but that's what folks like. Texas Twinkies were excellent. Don't sleep on the burger! This place is a gem. It needs traffic. It's a bit hard to find but so is cafe Americano down the street. Urge you to give it a try; you'll put in your rotation. read more

Okay woah. Went with my friend while we were at division brewing. Ordered pretty quickly and was told it should be about 15 min. Went back and had to wait in a substantial line for 10 min because they only have one window, and was told it would be another 10 min... and honestly was getting a little frustrated after 35 minutes and no food So the *only* downside to this place is the ordering / pickup process. If they could take cell numbers down and text when the food is ready or have buzzers, it would be much better... because this particular day was very windy, had been warm but now chilly, and it was starting to drizzle. We each ordered the elote and a Quesi taco and I was struggling to choose which one I preferred, but the Quesi taco was something new to me and extremely delicious.
