I was watching tiktok one day and saw them advertising a machete which is basically a giant taco and said yes I need that in my life to heck with my diet for one day! Walked in with some co worker and one got a flauta meal and the other guy got a burrito. I myself got the MACHETE! The employee told me it would be about 15 min to prepare and I said no problemo! My buddy got his Flautas first and they looked pretty dang good I think he got like 5 or 6 flautas that were stuffed with chicken. He said they were pretty good. The other buddy got the burrito and it didn't look all that appealing. Sorry. Then I got the MACHETE and oh lord was I not prepared got it half chicken and half carne asada. Came with some avocado and lettuce their salsa bar is pretty dang good also and clean. I was only able to eat half of the machete it was made with what appeared to be home made corn tortilla, cheese, and meat. The smell alone pulling up to the building is scrumptious enough. They have a spit fire rotisserie inside and it is fragrant with the smell of chicken beef and pork. All their meat is cooked in house. No frozen pre prepared food here ans it truly is fast. We had the half chicken meal and the 5 tacos meal and there were NO crumbs left. The salsa bar has something f for everyone and I LOVE SPICY & they had a salsa spicy enough for me to say Damn, that's hot! Mmmm I'd describe Chicken Pullita as Mexican barbecue, it's pretty delicious. Obviously they specialize in chicken (whole roasted) but they also have roast beef, pastor, and carne asada. Your basic order of meat comes with grilled onion, peppers, charro beans, salsa, and tortillas. Hellooooo yum. They also have tacos, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, soup, sopes, Gorditas, nachos, tostadas, and Siberian toast (which google tells me is a tostado topped with guacamole, chicken, sour cream, and jalapeños. I am deeply disturbed by the repeated disrespect and mistreatment I experienced at Chicken Pullita in Mansfield, TX. My visits on June 25 and 26, 2025, were some of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered in any establishment especially when considering the racially charged undertones and complete lack of professionalism demonstrated. I entered the restaurant and stood patiently for several minutes, expecting to be greeted or acknowledged -- but I was completely ignored. Staff members walked past me as if I didn't exist. No "hello," no "we'll be right with you." Nothing. As a paying customer, being treated as invisible is disheartening especially when other patrons were not ignored in this way. Frustrated, I left and decided to try the drive-thru instead. A young male employee greeted me and candidly remarked that "the owner be in the way." This immediately concerned me. If your own staff feels obstructed or frustrated by their leadership, that reflects poorly on the business culture and customer experience. Trying to give this business the benefit of the doubt, I returned the next day. I initially spoke to a young lady at around 2:00 PM, who seemed unsure and untrained, further confirming the lack of structure in this establishment. At approximately 3:33 PM, I entered the drive-thru line. By 3:39 PM, I was speaking to a man I now know to be Julian Martinez, who is reportedly the owner/operator. His behavior was erratic, aggressive, and deeply unprofessional. I barely got a sentence out before he raised his voice and became combative. When I calmly addressed concerns about my prior experience and the order itself, he lashed out, interrupted me, and threatened to call the police. His reaction was not only unprovoked -- it was deeply alarming. Rather than de-escalating or apologizing, he turned to threats and verbal hostility. It was a clear attempt to intimidate me, and it worked -- I left shaken and angry. What Needs to Be Understood This isn't just a bad review because of poor food or slow service -- this is a serious issue of racial bias, unsafe food practices, and toxic leadership. * The food was substandard and unsafe -- chicken was undercooked, rice was dry and hard, and common Latin staples like plantains or black beans weren't even available. * Orders are frequently incorrect, and based on my experience, it doesn't seem like it's an honest mistake -- it feels intentional, especially when you're not part of the predominant community they cater to. * The environment is culturally insensitive and unwelcoming to Black customers. It's subtle, but very real -- you can feel it the moment you walk in. * Staff themselves have expressed frustration, with one young man going so far as to call his boss "an asshole" -- which speaks volumes about the management culture. I urge all non-Spanish customers and especially people of color to reconsider supporting this business. My experience wasn't just unpleasant -- it was humiliating, threatening, and unacceptable. There is no room for racism, mistreatment, or intimidation in customer service -- especially from the leadership. I am actively reporting this incident to the BBB, the Texas Department of Health, and requesting an investigation into Julian Martinez and his operation. Just opened this week! It's the new competition to other similar charbroiled Chicken places in Arlington. We took the drive thru and ordered combo #1 One whole chicken. It comes with seasoned sliced onions next to the chicken, rice, beans, corn tortillas and two types of salsa, red and green. The chicken is very tasty, juicy, moist and delicious, ////(it beats two or three other chicken places in town)////. You are doing great at the chicken department!!!! The beans are smoky and very nicely seasoned, plenty of chunky peppers, onions, bacon, I like them a lot. ****The rice was cooked by someone else, no seasoning, no flavor, hardly any color, and slightly overcooked (mushy). My husband and myself wanted some good flautas, went for lunch and it was delicious. Flautas were crispy on the outside and soft with lots of meat on the inside, very nicely seasoned, served along with rice, some lettuce tomato and avocado with a side of sour cream. The chicken, beans and rice were good and the chips were really good. The service was friendly and the salsa bar had good variety ranging from mild to spicy. There was no extra charge for the salsa, as a previous review stated. I will definitely come back if I am in the area again. 1st time to visit Chicken Pullita's, 4920 S. Cooper St, Arlington, Tx. 1:45pm This was a drive- thru order for Chicken Enchiladas, rice and beans with an order total of $13.79. The only thing I changed for the enchiladas was sour cream instead of the red/green sauce. Took the order home and discovered that I got no beans but instead a double order of rice. Returned to drive-thru and the same girl who took the original order came to the window. I gave her my receipt and order in the bag and made her aware that the order was wrong regarding the beans. I then asked why there was a separate charge of $1.75 for beans. Her response was that the beans are separate and they charge for them. I told the girl that I needed the order corrected and that it was now cold. It was now 2:20pm and the girl asked what time did I place the order. Told her 1:45pm per the receipt. The girl then said the order was giving to me hot. My response was yes, but the order was wrong and now cold. I then asked her if she knew what time it was and her response was a sarcastic no. I told her is was 2:20pm. The girl then started getting defensive and pulled the "why are you disrespecting me" card. Told the girl no disrespect. She then said I could have called them on the phone to tell them about the order. At this time it dawned on me that she had not looked at the order bag. It was evident that the conversation was going nowhere. I told her just give me a refund. She then fumbled through the bag and pulled everything out looking for the beans and then saw the double order of rice but no beans. She then looked at what I would guess to be cook counter then closed the drive-thru door. By now it was 2:28pm and Jennifer came to the drive-thru door and asked for my debt card to do the refund. I told Jennifer that the other girl said I was disrespecting her and that the person who made the order had 1 job, read the order and make it. Evidently this person could not make it happen. And so, as they say, that was that. I will say the Jennifer was polite during the refund. Playing the "why are you disrespecting me" card is not good customer service practice. I don't see trying to get an order corrected as being disrespecting, rather just say your sorry and do whatever needs to be done to fix the problem.
