Found Spot Dessert Bar in Flushing while I was out and I was craving a matcha, so I decided to try their strawberry matcha.The drink was really good the strawberry added a nice sweetness that balanced. The employees were so sweetI also noticed they have a lot of really interesting desserts on the menu, but most of them require dining in, so I didn't get to try them this time. The presentation of everything looked amazing though so I already know I'll be coming back just to try the desserts properly.
I can't believe I've never reviewed Spot. This is one of my favorite dessert places to go. And if I'm in Flushing you best believe I will be getting something. My absolute favorite is Golden Toast, I say to myself I'm going to try something new and never do because I can't stop getting Golden Toast. I have gotten others but I still go back to Golden Toast. The service is always good. Today I tried the raspberry lemon soda & it was really good.
Flushing has its own rhythm. The horns, the rush of people catching the 7 train, lines forming for late-night snacks like stinky tofu -- it's busy, loud, and full of life. And tucked right into all of that energy is a little dessert haven that feels like a reward at the end of the day: Spot Dessert Bar. This place holds a lot of nostalgia for me. It brings back high school hangs, college nights, and those spontaneous "let's get dessert" moments that somehow turn into full conversations over something sweet. Recently I brought a friend visiting from New York back here, and it felt like revisiting an old favorite. Yes, it can get crowded. The wait can be a bit long, and the space fills up quickly. But honestly, if you've never waited for a table at Spot, you're missing part of the experience -- standing there with the menu, debating which dessert to try, watching the beautiful plates come out one after another. The menu is playful and creative, full of Asian-inspired desserts that feel thoughtful and a little indulgent. We ordered a trio of churros -- matcha, chocolate, and red velvet -- which were crisp, warm, and perfect for sharing. The Spot Dessert Pot is always a must, layered and comforting with just the right amount of sweetness. But my personal favorite remains the golden toast: thick, buttery honey toast topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It's simple, classic, and somehow unforgettable every single time. You can tell these desserts come from a place of creativity. Iron Chef Ian Kittichai's influence is clear -- these are plated desserts that feel both playful and refined. The ambiance is cozy and modern, a small café that feels like a quiet pocket in the middle of busy Flushing. Soft chatter, people sharing desserts, phones coming out for photos -- it's the kind of place that naturally creates memories. Some places are trendy for a moment. Spot is one of those places that stays with you. A little sweet tooth here goes a very long way.
I was really excited to try this new black sesame dessert! I've heard great things about the other desserts but could only try one thing cause I was alone haha. The cheesecake itself had good black sesame flavor and was smooth and dense. I liked the berry "jam" on top cause it made the dessert lighter. The ice cream.....was a weird addition; it was icy and I wish it was vanilla bean flavored and creamier. Overall I want to come back and try the other desserts because they all seem so creative!
Pretty busy on a Saturday! There were also parades going on that day in the area so that may have contributed to it. There was only one person serving and I saw her scrambling everywhere. I've been to other locations of Spot Dessert before and it's your reliable (slightly fancy) dessert sit down place. I love that they have a 2-3 sets you can get with about 3 desserts each and the combination is sold at cheaper price than if you were to buy all 3 individually. I was pretty full from the delicious food that Flushing has to offer so I shared a Harvest dessert. It's a best seller but I never had it before. It's a cute dessert but I just don't think it should be the best seller. It's supposed to a cheesecake filling but it was more on the sour tart side like greek yogurt. The thai tea drizzle made a small difference to the flavors. The guava sorbet was sour as well but I liked that it wiped my palette. They also had some cold foam the same flavor as the sorbet which was cool and artsy. I love Spot dessert but recommend trying other menu items. At the end they gave me a red envelope with a coupon in it (bogo milk tea) in celebration of Lunar New Year.
We stumbled upon spot while on a late night stroll. We were for something sweet and most places were closed or about to close. Spot is quite small, so we were grateful to be seated immediately. The service was great, all of the employees were pleasant. The milky puff is the perfect balance of sweetness, the crunchiness of the cornflakes and rice puffs paired with the creaminess of the ice cream and the softness of the pastry is a match made in heaven! The white chocolate honeycomb is amazing!!! We loved every bit of it!
This particular location is a small space; we were sitting so close to our table neighbors. The service was good and quick to take our order though and refill our waters. My friends and I went for the Fall-Winter '25 seasonal specials. One of them - Chrysanthemum snow - was bad, our group unanimously agreed. It is basically ice ("granita") and cubes of Korean pear, with a ton of mushroom. Most of the dish is mushroom which was not a great texture for a dessert and bc of the granita it became a bowl of water soon after being served. The Sesame bloom and "Ube-rri" was pretty good, but neither would I order again. Stick to the signatures. This season's tapas were a miss.
I love Spot! Everything is always so good. This location is very small and super busy tonight! The servers were kind. I been here many times and have tried all of their main desserts. I saw they had a new ube and blueberry dessert. It was good! I wish it was a bit more ube forward but nice to see some filipino representation. I usually go for the cookie camp, that one is fire. My friend had the matcha lava cake and loved it. That is also one of my favorites. Definitely try this place out if you haven't, there truly is something for everyone!
I've been going to Spot Dessert Bar since they opened with the OG east village location over a decade ago and it's been so awesome to see them expand to new stores and neighborhoods! This will always be my go to for Asian inspired desserts and to catch up with friends over sweets. I always have my go to's like the chocolate matcha lava cake and golden toast but sometimes I like to try something new off their seasonal menu too. Some of the cookies are a little too sweet imo but everything else is pretty solid, I remember even getting their tubs of ice cream delivered during the peak of Covid (god bless). The flushing location is always packed so expect a wait during peak hours. Astoria location is also new and clean! :)
Came here on a Sunday at 6 pm with a party of 3 and it was not crowded. We ordered a matcha lava cake and iced Thai matcha. The lava cake did not have matcha and the filling was chocolate but it came with a scoop of matcha ice cream. The staff was very friendly and I got a takeout container for my matcha latte since I did not finish it. They have a single stall bathroom which was clean. I definitely recommend as their desserts are so unique and the experience was so leisurely.
Food: While I usually look forward to getting dessert from the spot, it was disappointing to me. Idk if my taste buds changed but the cookie camp was WAY too sweet this time. I shared it with one other person and it was hard to finish this time. Usually, I rlly do appreciate the different flavors of chocolate, marshmallow, pretzels, and ice cream but this time the sweetness overpowered all of the complex flavoring I wanted to taste. I also tried the sweet beani, which is from their spring/summer menu this year, but it's not my favorite. At least it wasn't too sweet. And if u rlly like black sesame and red bean, you should get it. For me, I thought the black sesame was too strong. I also was disappointed by how the cake is smaller/less wide than it appears on the menu. service and ambiance: Cute spot and great service! I suggest u go on a weekday to avoid waiting. Suggestions: For the spring/summer menu, I was hoping for more fruity, refreshing options for dessert. In the past, I like how they did shaved ice for one of their dessert tapas.
You know you love Spot when you go twice a day. Love the seasonal menus. 5/5 matcha lava $14.95 - lava cake is my absolute fave cake, love anything matcha as well- as long as it's strong enough but not too strong- doesn't taste like dirt & smell like raw seafood 5/5 Mango Passion Fruit Soda $8- amazing once you mix it, both flavors evident 5/5 Peach Cream Soda $8 - comes w/ peach ice cream, amazing as the above once you mix it, so peachy, so creamy 4/5 matcha lava cookie $5 - wish it was less sweet, but great nonetheless 4/5 Jasmine matcha latte $7- I liked it, but my sister said Jasmine anything has an artificial smell & flavor, matcha can be a bit stronger 3/5 strawberry matcha latte $7- my sister liked it, I thought it was ok, matcha can be a bit stronger 3/5 sweet beani $14.95- "red bean mochi mousse, chiffon cake, injeolmi, strawberries, brown sugar sauce, black sesame ice cream" it was ok, I wouldn't get it again, I liked the black sesame ice cream more than the rest of it- mostly cuz I love black sesame anything
I wanted to visit their east village location but didn't have sufficient time as they were closing soon and this was my best option closer to home. I have a tendency to go on solo trips quite often so this was one of those days. If I am not wrong they do have a parking garage but I didn't park there as street parking was available. This is a busy area during the day finding street parking would be a struggle therefore plan your trip accordingly if driving. Nearest train station is the 7 train Main Street stop. Upon entering, I was greeted and the host asked me if I'd be doing a take out or dine in. Yes it's dine in table for 1 please. My mistake didn't ask the name of the host but he was rude since I was all by myself he seated me and didn't care to get my order as I sat there waiting for quite sometime. Finally this sweet girl behind the counter came to take my order when I attempted to get her attention. The harvest ($11.95) is amazingly delicious and I love the presentation. My second host was friendly and polite. She was so sweet to help me decide which dessert to have for the night. Taking 1 star away for the initial encounter with the other host. Spot is a must try dessert spot. It has a great central location to visit after your dinner in Flushing. They have their indoor seating, as well as an outdoor seating area they built for COVID guidelines. The outdoor seating is really cool - it's basically a row of small single table rooms with heat lamps inside. They stayed impressively warm during the winter. The desserts themselves are really good. We shared the golden toast and matcha lava between 3 of us, it was plenty of food (probably could have shared between up to 4 people even). I personally thought the golden toast was better - it's a must try. The toast is served with powdered sugar on top, whipped cream, ice cream, strawberries, and a maple syrup drizzle. It's a magic combination, and if you want, every bite can be different with all the different toppings. I thought the teas they served were good, but there are better boba options nearby in Flushing. The service was adequate, nothing special, but the desserts speak for themselves! read more

I was slightly disappointed when I finally got to sit down. Maybe it was because we went when it was late that it wasn't so amazing to me as I was told it was going to be. When we got there we checked into the QR scan at 9:10 ... waited an hour and 14 minutes and then I got an text basically stating that due to my no show they would move on to the next customer. I was quick to go up and speak to someone because I was upset , but they sent me to a girl outside who was quick to explain that at ten o'clock the waitlist closes and then they do it themselves. I'm glad I was quick to react because if not I would've been at the back of the queue. Food - Biscoff Ice box - it was good , tasty but a little hard but I still loved it. Cookie Camp- my friend got this and she said it was too sweet for her. She ate as much as she could but the sweetness was too much for her . She did say that it was just regular nothing to write home about . Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookie- We we're excited for this item but when we finally got it was burnt and super hard . Disappointing Nutella Cookie - Wasn't burnt at least and it was decently good. Customer Service - I will say that the girls working were super sweet and nice. Pretty fast too . Whimsical magic going on over here !!!! If you like amazing deserts this place should be on your hit list !!! Small place gets packed !!! Checked in through yelp ..... arrived and we were greeted with friendly faces & sat immediately.... Our server Anthony was very nice & made some awesome suggestions on what to have being that is was our first time .... Anthony you were on the money .... we both enjoyed our deserts very much ... The Matcha Lava !!! Like holy moly !!! Just take a look at the presentation & then when you cut into it it really erupts like a delicious volcano & it's paired with a delicious Matcha Green Tea Ice cream just incredible !!! The warm Chocolate ganache is amazing..... The Golden Toast !!!! This desert is amazing as well !!! Next time I'm getting this & not sharing !!! Trust me !!! Warm Crispy Honey Buttered Toast with Strawberries & Condensed Milk Ice cream ..... topped with fresh whip cream .... The honey Buttered Toast is amazing has a Chewy Like texture Like a Cinnabon just without the cinnamon & brown sugar it's delicious crispy & that honey is in unreal ... then you top the honey bread with this awesome Condensed vanilla ice cream & it's a home run out of the park grand slam !!!! Anthony you have great taste !!! Thanks again ... I had a cup of the Americana coffee it was delicious & my wife loved her Cappuccino !!! We also had to try two of their cookies; of course their Oreo chocolate chip & their Matcha Lava as if we didn't get enough of it in the cake desert !!! Both cookies were out of this world !!! Very impressed with all the thought & details that go into every desert !!! Hats off to the creator & the entire team over here !!! My fellow yelpers as you know I hardly ever give out 5 stars on my first visit but I had to make an exception because I was totally blown away !!! FYI; Parking can be rough but there is a municipal parking lot a half block away ..... FYI, I found a spot on the street in less then 5 minutes it's was a Sunday night ..... I do have one complaint; our coffee cups handles will not accommodate my pointer finger would not fit through the handle !!! Lmao !!! We will definitely return again with family & friends !!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND My goodness this place is sooooo good! I'm personally not a dessert person and think it's usually not worth the prices but wheeeww this was special. How would I describe Spot Dessert Bar well it's sort of like a York Peppermint Patty experience but with a warm and fuzzy sensation. Been here twice so far. First time celebrating a new job with friend and recently for my birthday. The desserts are delectably delicious no doubt about it. You definitely need to try the desserts here. Each items takes you on a different mouth watering experience for no two dessert are alike. The Harvest- The potted plant with a sprigs of parsley looked interesting. Dig deep into the soil and your taste buds will be surprised. The Matcha Lava is just orgasmic. Warm oozing matcha ganache out of a chocolate cake and cool down period with a scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. Just the perfect blend. My friend had the Miso Butterscotch- They way the Miso Butterscotch was drizzled on top. I definitely, will be back for this item the next time. The drinks are good too. My favorite is the Matcha Latte. This place is always busy. Be prepared to wait for a table. Definitely, worth the wait to get your sugar fix. read more
I visited Spot Dessert Bar after dinner on a Friday and it was very busy. My group was about 8 people so at first we were really high on the waiting list, but we got lucky and a lot of the people ahead of us left the waiting list. The way spot dessert bar does waiting list is that when you arrive you can check in on your phone and it will tell you how many people are ahead of you. At first it said we were 20th in queue, but when we checked again it became 2. So we ended up waiting about 20 min and was able to get seated. They have a few indoor and outdoor seats. Outdoor seating looks like it only can fit smaller parties, but indoors we were able to seat all 8 of us. In terms of the desserts I got to try the golden toast and the milky puff. I thought the golden toast was alright. It's not too sweet, but the toast is very crunchy on the outside which was nice. I thought the milky puff was really tasty. The pastry is very fluffy and I liked the corn flakes which added an extra crunch to each bite. This dessert though is on the sweeter side. Overall I think Spot has good desserts and they aren't super pricey either all averaging around 12 dollars. Only negative, which isn't truly their fault, is the long line. The online queue also is a bit misleading as people sometimes just stay in queue even when they decide to no longer wait. read more

If you want to go to a really good dessert spot with friends or on a date look no further than Spot dessert bar. I enjoyed "The Harvest" which includes layered berries, soft cheesecake, Oreo crumbs, earl grey milk tea, and raspberry sorbet. I love that it came in a pot and the presentation was 10/10.m it tasted just as good as it looked. The bubble tea was refreshing and the boba was delicious, chewy and flavorful. The ambiance and service was excellent. You will have a great time coming here. I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything you choose from their menu. I can't wait to come back to spot dessert bar and try something new! read more

Attractive dessert bar! Creamy chocolates! Best "Rose Milk Tea with Tapioca" ever, oh yeah! Picture perfect for posts and big enough to share are their seasonal desserts. Not so with their "milky puff", quite impress I was with the dark chocolate and matcha taste of Spot's "Matcha Lava Cake". Friendly yet inexperienced at dealing with mishaps was the staff here, including not replacing a leaking cup. Still, I'd go out of my way for Spot's "Rose Milk Tea" at any one of their NY location in the future. Cheers! read more
Finally went in for a quick sweet hit. It was always so crowded and didn't want to wait. But it was not busy so my friend and I stopped by to check it out. We had the flowerpot dessert and it was pretty good. Just the right amount since we just finished dinner. I would go back again and try some of the other items know the menu. read more

Got the harvest and milky puff. Harvest was pretty mid: flavors was just not for me. But the milky puff was SOOO YUMMY. You basically experience everything in that dish. You have the crispy pastry, the soft cream, the cold ice cream, and the sweet honey. They compliment each other so well!! It's also not overly sweet. Something I kind of don't like is that the tip options are 20% or over. And ofc there's custom tip but the waiter stands right there so you kind of feel obligated to click an option really quickly lol. But it's fine I still enjoyed my experience here read more

Spot's dessert have so many location now throughout NYC. I remembered before there were like only 1 or 2 locations which are located at St Mark Japanese town and one at Korean town. Now, they are like everywhere. This is my first visit to this location at Flushing, NY. I feel like every location is always busy no matter what... tourist and regulars. Well, as usual, waited 20 minutes or so for a table. I'm used to it haha. My sister who went with me loves Green tea flavor on everything. She has to try their new items on their menu. Which is the "Matcha waterfall & Green tea parfait." Of course their best seller Green tea lava cake. They all tasted good, nothing really to talk about it. Because I'm not really into sweet so I don't care much, as long it tastes good. I'm satisfied! I did realize their price went up a bit and sadly is that they don't have the offer anymore pick 3 for $25-30 something like that. Anyway, if you haven't try this place yet... do put it on one of the places to eat when you're around NYC. read more
I always have a great experience when coming here. The staff checked our vaccination card before seating us, and despite being a Friday night at 9pm, there was one indoor seating for my friend and I, so luckily we didn't have to wait! In order to access the menu, we scanned the code available at the table and started looking at what we wanted. The golden toast is ALWAYSSSSSS a solid pick! The consistency is on point, always crunchy and toasty on the outside, but warm and chewy on the inside. Condensed milk is drizzled over it along with condensed milk ice cream and some strawberries. It's freakin phenomenal. I ordered one of their new fall desserts called Winter Strawberry. It was a really refreshing and delicious dessert!!! I've never had anything with a semifreddo before, but it tastes like...frozen mouse? It's not as creamy as ice cream and not as soft as cream cheese, but it was cold and creamy and strawberry and delicious!!! I'd love to try their fig cake next! read more
Golden toast forever. I love spot but I'm so disappointed that they got rid of the deals for if you get 3 or more desserts... it's been a while since I've been to one and when I heard this it almost ruined my day. I wanted to try some of the other desserts the day we came, but our group was stuffed so we settled on just golden toast which was heavenly as usual, and a parfait. We also got a grapefruit soda drink that was very good after mixing it. This location is quite small, has a nice big bathroom (just one stall), and friendly staff. read more
This location is always super packed and luckily tonight I got to pop my friend's Spot Dessert cherry! When we arrived around 5ish, it was pretty emptied. We asked one of the staff to seat us towards the back away from the front doors because it's so cold out tonight! We were looking at the menu then asked Kevin, our server to make recommendations. When he was describing Nutella Hot Chocolate *drools* but I didn't want to be full before my Yelp event. I can't consume caffeine so my drink options are limited. He was describing the Homemade Mango Passion Fruit Soda which seems interesting so I ordered it...remember to mix the drink! My friend got a Matcha Latte. Also, we shared The Harvest...Ooooo the plating was so worth posting a picture on Instagram. This was a delicious dessert mmm Finally crossed off my bookmarks! My group and I were craving dessert so we stopped by spot. I haven't been here in a very long time. We ordered the matcha lava cookie. It was veryyyyyy heavy. I wish I had a big glass of milk. The staff was very friendly and worked quickly despite how busy it was. It fit our group of 8. We had a small wait on a Friday night. Would probably stop by next time for other desserts. read more
Really cute place for some sweets, beverages, and casual chitchats. Service was friendly but a bit forgetful. Price is on the higher end. The matcha lava cake and ice cream was heavenly, if you like these flavors. So decadent and caloric but worth it. The matcha waterfall was mediocre as I found the matcha cake a bit too dense and dry. Lattes were good but on the smaller side for the price. Next time I may just get the matcha lava cake and ice cream. read more

Spot dessert in Flushing! Still open late, which is perfect for late sweet cravings! Ill explain why I gave 2 only. Location: Located in Flushing, you will have trouble parking during the day but we went here late so it was easy. The interior is okay and there is a line as always. Service: she was nice and attentive, give us her recommendation. Food: MILKY PUFF: this was okay, crunch with sweetness of the banana, for me it was just okay, not exciting enough. MATCHA WATERFALL: sorry but I don't get the idea, the lava inside is the waterfall? The cake was moist which is good but the lava is just okay. I'd rather order the Molten Lava than this. I thought it was big but when I saw it was tiny. I don't know but I am used to eat desserts at Spot locations that are very interactive and has a fun touch on it. This one is like a cake that was just dumped on the plate. You can see in the picture. Price rating: 8 out of 10. Quite expensive, specially for the Matcha Watefall. I'd prefer to eat to other Spot locations specially the one in St. Mark's Place, they have more dessert options. This location is just okay, not the best one. read more

It's good, I can't deny that, but expensive! The waffle was perfectly crunchy on the outside yet soft on the inside. It also want too sweet. The ice cream and strawberries were a nice addition to break up the sweetness. I didn't like the potted plant dessert as much although it was super cute. The cake, sorbet, and sauce? didn't compliment each other to me because one was very sweet, one was very sour, and one was very fruity. They're always super busy, but service is quick. It's also so sick how many famous people have come before!! It's a cute little dessert spot to treat yourself!! read more

I go here very frequently and they never let me down. There desserts are so scrumptious, not overly sweet, and delicate. I wish the space was more spacious in the aspect of it gets over crowded since it's so popular. The seats and tables are too close to other tables and such. Decided to come here (finally) as I had tried out their signature dishes a few years back at their East Village location. The space is definitely bigger but seems like slightly more seating space. Also if you visit, do visit the bathroom. I think it's one of the most spacious and gorgeous bathrooms I've ever been inside. Tried their seasonal specials: -coconut monkeybread: definitely share-able and more worth it! The server even asked if we wanted to take a video of him pouring the thai tea flavoring on top of the coconut milk ice cream! It comes in a little hot pan and the bread is crispy and coconutty. Mixed with the ice cream? Perfect combo of hot and cold! I did order this for myself so I found it a bit too sweet and too much for one person to finish (also as I'm not that big of a fan of sweets) but I would think a dessert's fan would love this dish! -matcha cake: essentially a matcha cake with matcha flavored filling topped with whipped cream...very pricey for a small cake read more

Love Spot Dessert Bar! I've gone a few times and they're always so friendly and welcoming. The outdoor area they have is nice and warm. My boyfriend and I went when it was raining and the top of our section was leaking, and our server was super sweet about letting us switch tables. When we went, there was only one server there (and there were a few other tables), but she was really sweet and attentive. We got the golden toast which was so so yummy! The strawberries are nice and fresh, and the toast is really great since it's sweet but not overly sweet. The milky puff might be my favorite dessert I've had here. The pastry is flaky and so yummy, and I love the corn flakes in it. Will definitely come here again for some great dessert and wonderful service! :)) read more

I stopped by this place on a Sunday night with a large group. Staff was super nice in accommodating my party. I had the harvest. Super cute dessert place but has limited seating. We got the 2 desserts + 2 drinks deal. The milky puff was soft and the ice cream added a nice texture. My favorite was the mini harvest - the sorbet it comes with was very refreshing and the dessert itself was super yummy (the oreo crumbles and soft cheesecake 10/10). read more
Not too busy on a Saturday night! There was no line and we were seated immediately. Service was fast. Sitdown to ordering to eating was 5-10 minutes. We got the matcha lava and golden toast (see pictures!). The matcha lava cake was fluffy and soft. The filling was a mix of dark chocolate and matcha green tea (strong taste). The matcha ice cream was very standard and a good match to the cake. The golden toast was buttery and very well fried. Delicious, but somewhat dry. Not a big fan of the side of whipped cream, but the condensed milk ice cream was very good! read more

Simply wow. The best dessert place you haven't been to yet in flushing. This place looks pretty quiet from the outside but peek in and you'll see it's usually packed. Their dark chocolate matcha lava cake is spectacularly rich and creamy. We devoured the entire cake in 2 minutes. The dessert for two deal is great as we got two desserts and two drinks for $33. So the second dessert we got is the harvest, it's a classic potted plant dessert but they added delicious garnishes and sorbet with it. There's also strawberries on the inside of the plant. The rose milk tea is also spot on and their Nutella hot chocolate is rich. Highly recommend! read more
Hubby came here the last time he visited New York and kept mentioning that he wanted to bring me here the next time we were in town. We came on a rainy Saturday evening and most of the tables were full despite the bad weather. I ordered the matcha waterfall (matcha cake with cream filling) since I LOVE matcha. Hubby had the special of the day which was a matcha parfait (matcha ice cream, strawberries, red bean, matcha cake). Both were good but they were a tad pricey ($11) each. The matcha waterfall was smaller than I expected as well. Hubby said that the matcha lava cake he had last time was better than the matcha waterfall. I also wish there was more filling...I ended up eating the matcha waterfall cake with the ice cream from hubby's parfait. Service was good. We were constantly checked on and I was surprised there were so many staff members working. read more

Workers are nice here but the establishment/owner is stealing money from customers. Before you pay, ask for the receipt before paying and check the calculation of the auto tip. For parties of 5, they auto charge 20% tip on your bill and they don't give you a receipt before you pay. They come to your table with a tablet and tell you the total amount and tell you tip is already included. When we asked for the receipt, the tip they charged was higher than 20%. Our bill was $76.45 because we got the 5 dessert special, so the tip should be $15.29 but the tip they charged us was $19.62 which is ~26%!!!! and when we asked why, they said they were charging tip on the retail price of the special ($99). This makes absolutely no sense at all. We calculated the tax and it's applied on $76.45 so why is the tip applied on the retail value of $99??? Absolutely schemy and unethical. Imagine how long they've been doing this to customers and the amount of money they have been stealing? Also, it's not even about the money, it's about the principle and how they are lying and stealing from people. read more

Came here for dessert after a lovely dinner and decided to share a Chestnut Butterscotch cake with my girlfriend. We also got a Iced Honey Yuzu Tea. The workers there were very kind and one of them offered to pour the sauce on the cake so I can take a video. The cake was moist and buttery, filled with some pieces of chestnut. I loved the cold condensed milk ice cream that contrasts with the warm cake. We then decided to add a Matcha Lava Cookie at the end which was delicious and chocolatey with a nice matcha flavor. I wished the cookie was more lava-y and runny since it didn't flow as well even though it was warmed up. Overall I think this is a great place to have a nice sweet treat in Flushing. read more
