Vanilla shake
Daisy I.

The shake was tasty and had a nice vanilla flavor that was enjoyable. Medium size cup ! There were a couple of areas where the shake could have been improved. Firstly, the temperature could have been colder. I prefer my shakes to be icy cold, but this one was just slightly above room temperature, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the texture of the shake could have been smoother. Despite these drawbacks, I must say that considering it was made at school, it was still a good effort by the student staff . The flavor was on point, and it was evident that the ingredients used were of decent quality, you can see them making it from the ice cream . The sweetness level was just right, not too overpowering like most places loaded with sugar . Overall it's a 7/10 :)

Zucchini & chicken strips

On campus and need something hot and reasonably price not to mention tasty? Spokes grill is the spot! I got zucchini and chicken strips. The service was quick and the fountain water was fresh.

Shakes are good but the dry chicken is not. The wait can be a long time too. Only reason they have business is because it's in the silo

I've been around Davis long enough to see this building go through 3 different names!…read more We heard that as its current name it had great food so we decided to try it out. We got there right at opening and the server/hostess, Aurora, greeted us with a warm smile and welcome. There are two choices of spots to sit at - low tables/booths or high top tables with stools. We opted for a low table. I ordered the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries and my friend ordered the Chinichurri Tri-Tip sandwich with a side salad. When our meals came out, we were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes! I feel like I had a lot of fries on my plate and the sandwich was stuffed with meat! The side salad and tri-tip was pretty hefty too. My sandwich was DELICIOUS! I was only able to eat half so I left with half for lunch the next day. My friend was the same. I love when I can get two meals out of one!! The restaurant carries a very fun vibe. I can imagine it is so lively when it is packed! There is an area in the back that gives off a speakeasy vibe. Overall, awesome restaurant! Great food, awesome service and chill vibe.

The Cowboy Cuban is the next best thing I've found on the menu and worth ordering. The house dressing is excellent too. The Down the Hatch burger was decent, just didn't have quite enough flavor for my taste -- not a reason to skip the place, but I'd go Cowboy Cuban first. Love coming with the dog when weather permits.

They have paper menus but it's best to check online (QR code at the tables) because at least one of their burgers was not on the printed menu. I wanted to try the Tommy Gobbler, the 2025 entry in the Davis Burger Battle. The menu warned that substitutions were not allowed during the contest. I don't eat pork and the ingredients included bacon but they said they could make it without the bacon for me even though the contest is still going on. It was a turkey burger with brie cheese, arugula, cranberry sauce and a savory herb mayo. It was phenomenal. I want to return soon to try last year's entry that won the challenge, their Tommy's Turkey Banh Mi. My husband stuck with his favorite Swiss 'N' Shroomer Burger. The fries are different than they were a few years back, but just as good, if not better. Very crispy. One orders at the bar and they give you a number to place on your table. We chose to eat outside. It didn't take long for our food to arrive. We both asked for knives to cut our burgers. When clearing my plate the waitress asked how I liked the Tommy Gobbler. Loved it. She loves it too.

If you know, it is already incredibly hard taking an autistic child to a restaurant. The manager thought it was ok to tell my 13 year old to put on my autistic son's shoes..... (why not ask me, the mom?) As my son is screaming and heaving a full meltdown over shoes now, the manager continues to apologize because there were possibly glass shards on the ground in his restaurant. If that is the case, maybe someone else should be notified as that is a serious safety hazard and my son would get cut anyway as he has sandals that expose his feet, as did my daughter. I will never eat here and will make sure to let all my friends with and without kids with disabilities to never eat here. What an unacceptable excuse this place made me and my family feel. If I could I would rate it 0 stars. Horrible management!!

We also ordered a regular hamburger and a grilled chicken sandwich with pesto mayo. The pesto mayo was a nice touch and the chicken wasn't over cooked or dry it was nice and juicy. This place gives me sports bar vibes with a very friendly attentive staff. This is our second time coming here and it definitely wont be our last. Definitely recommend this place if your in Davis.

You'll see the truck around Sacramento and Davis. I tried them out a few weeks ago. I asked the cashier what was their best seller. He mentioned that they are known for their lamb. Well they are called Smokin'Ewe BBQ. So I gave that a try. I have had lamb before but never smoked BBQ. My order came out quickly. All the hot items came out hot and the cold was cold as it should be. The lamb was sliced thin. All so tender, melt in your mouth texture and tenderness. Lamb in general is gamey tasting. This lamb had the typical gamey taste with a deep bbq smokiness. At first bite, my tastebuds were confused. After several bites, they connected to my brain and luvin it. Traditional lamb flavors melded with smoky BBQ goodness. The plate came with potato salad, baked beans, and a bread roll. I also received a container of what looked like sauce that resembled a herb seasoned sour cream. Being LI, I didn't eat it. The potato salad was traditional and served deliciously chilled. Luved it. I forgot to ask if the beans contained HFCS, so I passed on eating it. It looked and smelled good though. They had other menu items besides lamb such as tri tip, brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork and hot links served as an entree plate $19 or a sandwich $14. 3 ribs $10. Mac n cheese $8-14. Sides $7. Nachos $8-14. Even the mac cheese was smoked low and slow. Mmm.
