PARKING- still just as bad if you go when people tend to eat. Their lot was completely full with a long line for the drive-thru. Food was great. Just like every other time. In-N-Out has the routine down and while it's fun treat every once in a while, it's nice to keep it to once in a while. Ambiance- Busy AF. See previously mentioned comment on parking lot. That wasn't enough, so I witnessed a group of kids crossing the street with Dutch Bros. cups in hands. I could see them clearly because there were no seats indoors and we sat outside. Service- optimal! Because we sat outside, one of the workers brought food out to us. On top of that, I brought the dog...who got her own water bowl brought to her outside. I'm not going to get all gushy about it because it really is a fast food joint doing fast food things well. They've had the practice and that company knew what it was doing way back in the 1900s. Pulled in off the freeway to get a burger. The line in the drive-through is crazy as per usual. I parked and came inside and there's no line it's not too crowded today. The inside is pretty clean the station with the ketchup and the peppers is a little bit messy but other than that, the rest of the restaurant looks good. I've been coming to this in n out a lot more now. I'm so glad I did. I prefer drive thru and while this location is in a tight spot they have optimized the lines an are as efficient as possible while maintaining the highest quality. I just want to say thank you! All the staff was smiles and happy. It was a special kind of energy that is lacking from most other businesses. Whoever the manager and team was/is on shift today Thursday February 5, 2026 around 3:00 pm just know you guys are rocking it ! I loved seeing all your smiles. The best customer service. Hands down. And that energy flows through your work as well. My whole family enjoyed the meal. Bun was warmed and had that nice crisp on the edges and tomato and lettuce were fresh crisp and juicy. It's an In-N-Out. They were well staffed, customer service on point, clean, cheap and quick. It's right off 80, making it easy stop off on a road trip. The inexpensive but also not a ton of protein, but perfect for the kids and produce is always fresh and quick. In N Out fries are not my fave. Fast food done so well. Order efficiently, not a long wait for food that is prepared fresh to order. The fries are made from kennebunk potatoes freshly cut so don't expect fries like the fast food chains okay? Nice slices of tomatoes and plenty of pickles. It's a juicy burger just the way I love them. Animal style is grilled onions on your burger and or fries. Come on! If you have never had an in n out, you have to try it. You won't regret it! There were *only* 15 cars in the drive through line at 19:45 on a Saturday night. It moved relatively quickly and we received our food about 15 minutes later. As with most In-n-Out's, rather than order when you drive up to the drive through menu, there is someone taking your order on an iPad-like device up the line. Within a minute of entering the line of cars, the employee walked up to take our order. This allows the restaurant to start your order at least 5-10 cars ahead saving you lots of time had you ordered at the menu window. The order was repeated for accuracy and we were on our way to traverse through the line of cars. At the first window we were greeted and payment was taken. The food was ready by the time I reached the second window. We received our shakes first, 2 vanillas and 1 strawberry. Then two bags containing our plain double-double, plain cheeseburger, double-double with grilled onions, grilled cheese animal style, and 3 orders of fries. Of course don't forget to ask for a few sides of their special sauce and ketchup, if you prefer that too. The food was so fresh it was hard not to start chomping on everything as I drove out of the parking lot but I had to stay focused. Freshness is the biggest differentiator between In-N-Out versus other burger joints. Nothing is frozen. From the soft bun to the crisp lettuce to the melted cheese draping over the burger patty with the grilled onions, it was so satisfying to take that first bite! You really can't beat the $4.85 for a double-double or the $3.40 cheeseburger! My total for everything was around $33. The fries are great! I love how you can literally watch them being made from whole potatoes as you drive from window 1 to window 2. There's something magical about enjoying fresh potatoes that are fried perfectly to create that crispy edge yet soft inside fry. Their special sauce is the perfect complement for the fries and the burger. You can't have too much of it! The super thick milkshakes are also something you don't find at other restaurants. I have always loved their vanilla shake. It might just be me but there's always a hint of a caramel taste to it on the first sip...and yes that first sip takes A LOT of energy and effort to make happen. This location gets a solid 5 stars from me for how fast the line moved, the friendly and welcoming employees, the fresh and delicious burgers, fries, and shakes, and the price. read more

Love this location. I've been here several times now, and it was great each time. Whenever I'm in Davis, I seem to end up here. Even when I tell myself I'm going to try some trendy new spot instead, I still end up here. My usual order is a cheeseburger animal style with both kinds of onions and extra extra tomato. When my daughter is with me, she usually gets a double double cheeseburger with only ketchup. Once in a while, we order animal fries or a Neapolitan milkshake. We also both love the pink lemonade. Our order has always been right, and has always been cooked to perfection. Service is great, and it's always clean. I think it's only about a half mile walk from In N Out to the UCD arboretum (definitely not more than one mile). I love stopping by here in the middle of a long nature photography walk. Here's the thing, if you like your burger to have a little crunch to it you don't need lettuce, all you need is onions. Lettuce just takes up so much space, and in my honest opinion it doesn't add all that much to the burger experience. I would much rather skip the lettuce and add onions to my burger to replace that little crunch you get with every bite. If you aren't a fan of onions that's fine, stick with lettuce (that crunch is pivotal) - but if you already like onions try skipping the lettuce next time. You might be thanking me later. Now that that's out of the way, In N Out is extremely consistent and incredibly reliable. There drive-through often feels like a maze and stretches out of the parking lot but I've never felt like it wasn't worth the wait + minor headache. In N Out has always been, and will likely continue to be, my favorite fast food chain out there. read more

When on the road or in a rush and hungry, I immediately pull into the parking lot with that yellow right turning arrow sign! My favorite is Double-double protein style with fries and plenty of ketchup! Those hot crispy fries, with a very light dash of salt and dipped into ketchup ..........! This location is always a good one, because the crew are usually awesome and get you what you want quickly and have you on your way, but not before a cup of hot coffee! That being said, the parking and entrance to this one is a bit weird. Enter on Olive, not Richards, or else you'll run into a chain barrier meant to separate car wash and gas station traffic from InO. It's a little confusing. There were also a ton of high school students here - not a big deal but definitely the biggest clientele on this early weekday afternoon.
