    Dragon fire chicken cone
    Alex H.

The Spit Fyre grill in Epic Universe's Isle of Berk is a fast casual restaurant featuring the viral, fantastical Mac & cheese cones. We went with the dragon fire chicken cone featuring mac & cheese with Nashville-style pulled chicken, hot honey, Calabrian peppers, chimichurri and crispy onions served in a crunchy cone. As far as theme park foods go, this is hard to beat. It makes for an exceptionally mobile and rich meal that channels the whimsy and rustic vibe of the How to Train Your Dragon Univers

Oh me, oh my. The cone is covered in various salty herbaceous yum yums. It's huge, but the ratio of mac and cheese to cone is one to two. It's basically all cone, little mac. To be honest, I wish I'd ordered the steak bowl or vegan bowl but another guest said this was the thing to get. All in all, I give the presentation an 8/10, and the food a 6/10.

I came here for Christmas and it was just so good. They had special menu items for the holiday season so of course I had to try that. They actually didn't have the Dragon Fire Chicken Spire for a hot second because they replaced it with the holiday special, Snoggletog Harvest. I really wanted to try both but I'll have to try the other next time. I wasn't brave enough to try the PBJ even though I really wanted to because it's so unique. But I LOVED the Snoggletog Harvest. The chimchurri sauce on top was just sublime!! Honestly this was the coolest walk up dining place I encountered all week. I just loved all the options and would love to try a lot more of them. I've been home from Epic, but I am STILL thinking about these Mac and cheese cones. We tried the PBJ cone first, which was delicious. I am not one who's typically likes bread, but the bread that was used is like an everything focaccia bread that is so soft and good. I am wondering if it's possible to recreate these at home and wish that we could order without going into the parks! If you're going to Epic, then I highly recommend trying one of these cones. I also tried a salmon bowl, and it was good! We went here twice in our 2 days!

The service is okay, I would recommend just walking up and ordering to get your food. We did a mobile order and even with the time slot collected it wasn't ready until the very end of the time. After that we then had to wait in a line for our food, it wasn't ready for us to walk up and grab. The bread the real star of the show. The Mac and cheese is just okay. I got the pork and Mac and cheese come and the pulled pork was great I wish I had more.

PB&J Mac & Cheese Cone ($18.99) - I finally know why the Mac & Cheese Cones went viral--they're so delicious! Pork, Bacon, and Jam is a genius combination that went very well together. The highlight was the pulled pork, which tasted like some of the best BBQ I've had in the South. Highly recommend!

Delicious! We had lunch here on Jan. 1st, New Year's Day, 2026. We ordered 2 Mac n cheese cones. One PB&J (pork, Bacon and Ham) Very delicious the pulled pork was juicy and the Mac n cheese was very cheesy all placed in a bread cones. The other one was the Dragon fire chicken spire. Tender pieces of spicy chicken topping the cheesy mac n cheese in a bread cone. The last bitten we had was Astrid's shrimp bowl. Grilled tasty shrimp served with rice and grilled broccoli. Very yummy! The service was fairly quick and seemed friendly. The ambiance of the eating tent was fun. Bunch of tables under a big tent. Kind of cute. Please see pictures below and let your eyes feast.

The Mac and cheese cone was great itself, but the staff around were super unprofessional by giggling at people waiting in line for a long time and saying what kind of losers we are that we need to wait an hour for our food. When we got to the counter, it took so long to figure out the person in front of us because they ran out of steak and would just not take the person to the side and deal with them at another counter. Overall, this would have been worth it if it was a 20min wait max. 1 hour was way too much.

First time eating at Spitfire Grill I decided to get the vegan bowl. The vegan bowl has spring mix, pickled beets, pineapple, salsa, vegan feta, and a tickled bean and cucumber salad, the sweetness of the beats peas really nicely with the pickled beans and the veggies in the bowl Plus the vegan crumbled feta on top add for the perfect creaminess. I think we waited about 10 to 15 minutes to wait for my vegan dish. My friend got his rather quickly because he did not do a vegan option. If you haven't been here at this location is in epic universe. It is the first location off to the right with the seating across the way. 10/10

This was a great place for a quick yet unique meal at Epic Universe. They only accept cash if you want to wait in line, or you can order on the app and wait for them to call out your order. The cash line moved pretty quickly and the food came out hot and fresh. The PB&J mac and cheese cone was very unique and delicious. It's also very filling, which is perfect if you're trying not to buy too many meals/snacks in the park. Since this is a walk up window, there isn't designated seating but there's a seating area close by which tends to be full.

Mobile order and service was pretty quick here. Pro-tip: you can get the viral loaded mac and cheese cones here without having to wait in the super duper long line at Hooligan's Grog & Gruel. We ordered the PB&J (pork, bacon, and jam (no peanut butter THANK GOD)) Mac and Cheese Cone. It was extremely loaded! Very bready but it came with a fantastic amount of protein also surprisingly.

Counter service order then pick-up type service. We order the grill shrimp tray and the salmon tray. They were surprisingly fresh and flavorful. The healthy grain base for Salmon was good for me but not to my family's liking. We sat across the counter and overlooked the water boat ride for the kiddos. Overall quick and healthy option food for a park.

This is one of the places where you get the viral mac and cheese cones in Epic Universe! The Universal mobile app was down that day - they encourage you to use the app to order, and try to tell you there isn't a register, but there is one register available for cash or when the app is messing up. Received our food quickly, but the workers were not calling out order numbers or confirming what everyone ordered when they handed it off. A few people ended up with the wrong food and had to go back. The line was pretty long with the app down but they got it fixed before our second visit to Epic. Warning that they don't have napkins or plastic ware at the pick up window - they are all in the seating area across the walkway. Mac and cheese cone hit the spot but was it the best mac and cheese of my life? No. Messy to eat but still tasty for what it is.
