Very good food. Feels healthy. A lot of choices. Ribs chicken, wings, black beans, corn rice plantains. Tons of good stuff If you want plantains, you have to order them from the cashier. They don't have them on the QR code menu at the table. The food is very good here and has a little bit of a Cuban flare read more

We were famished with all the rides, wait and unexpected rain so when we walked in to thunder falls, we were ready! Pre-ordered on the app which made the process super easy. Zeroed in on the ribs combo with a lemonade and a beer for the hubby. They bring everything to the table which made it super easy. The space is big and with natural lighting which made it easier to know when the rides restarted post the weather delay! The ribs were very tender and with a good amount of sauce. Personally i would have a little more. The rice, beans and corn combo worked really well. read more

When everything in the park is expensive, I think I really got our value from this place. We checked out a restaurant near by and it costs almost $20 for a burger. But for this place we got chicken, ribs, rice, beans, corn, and drinks for $22. I consider this was a steal, the food tasted excellent. The food didn't come as fast as we hoped for but the service was excellent. It was nice to seat down to relax for our meal. I will come back for sure. read more

Yummy Spanish vibes in Islands of Adventure! When I saw Sancocho on the menu I went Ooooooo!!!! I was not in the mood for soup that day but glad to see diversity!!! ++ roasted pork And cheese nachos ++ side salad with citrus vinaigrette ++ bottled water Loved the chandelier and all the Dino decorations. Ordered food from the QR code and it came promptly during the lunch rush. You have great views of the Jurassic park drop and can see water flying every 5ish minutes. We came in time for Christmas decorations! read more

During our stay at the Universal Orlando resort in December 2024, we visited Thunder Falls Terrace for lunch. I'm a fan of Jurassic Park and so is my dad, so this seemed like a fun location to stop by as the ambiance reminds me of the movie franchise. Though we usually don't enjoy the cafeteria style dining as prefer table service, this was still a great location. Rice Bowl Meatless Chorizo - $17.99 Pork Belly Nachos - $16.99 Ribs & Chicken Platter - $19.99 Soda - $4.99 I loved that there was a meatless chorizo rice bowl and was surprised at how large the portion was for under $20. All of us were happy with our meals, and found ourselves properly stuffed the rest of the day. Great fuel for lots of walking and sight seeing. read more

Best theme park food I've had in a while! The service was very quick, you just scan a QR code and order the food and then it just shows up. I had the prehistoric wings and pernil with a side of rice and beans. Very flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant is in Jurassic Park, so the ambience is very, Jurassic Park-y. I will definitely come back again! read more

To me this was the best food that I had at Universal! I tried the chicken and ribs combo - everything was seasoned very well and warm! Not going to lie - the wait was longggggggg but I completely enjoyed the food. Service was good.. what you normally would expect for a theme park. Ambiance definitely matched with the Jurassic Park scene. I thought it was super cute! Anytime I'm back I will grab a bite here! read more

Was so happy to find some Hispanic flavors in Island of Adventure! The food was truly flavorful, and they also had delicious vegan options for my friend! If you're looking for a more quiet place away from the larger crowds to enjoy a delicious meal, Thunder Falls Terrace is the place to go. It's a sit down restaurant where you order within the app and they bring it to your table! I got the Pernil Platter which felt like a home cooked meal as a posed to the phrase "theme park food". I knew Universal had some great bites and I'm happy to add this place to the list! read more

This was the best place I ate at Island of Adventure! I loved the theming, super cool, feels like you are in a rocky terrace over a waterfall. Tons of natural light, and I liked our view of the end of the Jurassic Park ride, classic! We needed some lunch and I am gluten free and vegetarian, so it can be a challenge to find good theme park food that will increase my energy. I ended up getting an impossible chorizo bowl and was delighted! The beans were flavorful, fresh avocado, the impossible chorizo was in a sauce with lovely flavor. I was expecting something similar to a Chipotle bowl but it was MUCH more elevated. I felt full and energized for the rest of my park day, super impressive! What is better than a healthy meal with a view of people getting soaked on a ride? read more

stopped by during our visit to universal and I wished I saved my appetite for something else. this was the worst theme park food I've had. The bacon was undercooked and the burger was over cooked. The fries were actually really good but I was mad about the burger. Expensive food for no good reason. Please save your appetite for a restaurant in city walk! read more

At first I was confused because there were employees standing right by the doors, thought they were hosts, but they were just talking to each other. While blocking the door. That wasn't great. It's more a cafeteria ordering style. Though I really wish the menu font was bigger. It was behind the counter so you could only get so close and it was hard to see it. Our cashier and the chef were wonderful though. I let them know I was allergic to raw onions (but cooked is fine. Heat breaks down the allergen) and they made sure I'd be safe. The chef personally came out to talk to me. I really appreciated the care and attention to detail. Food was good! I wish there was more dinosaur theming with it though. Love the restaurant interior. You really feel like you're visiting Jurassic Park. Definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of the movie. read more

Really enjoyed this place. Had a great view of the park and you could see people on the Jurassic ride. It was really cool to see up close the water splash. Food was fantastic! I had the rotisserie chicken. It was dry!!! The skin was the best part. The potatoes were ok and the corn was seasoned but also kind of dry. No butter on the corn or at the condiment bar either. The good part of this place is that they sear you at a table after you order and pay, it is beautiful inside and the view of the falls is nice. Maybe if I went earlier in the day it would have been better. read more

I mean. It's park food. Dont expect to be blown away But when the food is surprisingly decent AND not super super overpriced it's a win Service wasn't bad. They had a bunch of people clearing tables fast and bringing us napkins. It's packed inside obviously but there's a bunch of seating. You go up and order, grab a buzzer and wait. Typical amusement park style I got the ribs and potatoes. Ribs flavored well, not cooked to perfection to where they completely fell off. They needed a tiny tug. The potatoes drowned in butter and seasoned well. Melt in your mouth but also give you like 2 red potatoes cut in half which is a bummer. Corn is corn. Can't complain there It's getting a 2/5 because in all reality it's not that good of food in the grand scheme and portions suck. But for park food it's good read more

I made the mistake at looking at the reviews after I ordered my meal. I decided to have the roasted pork and cheese nachos combo just from looking at the photo of the food, it looked pretty good but once I got it, i noticed that the guacamole looked a little bit brown-ish as well as something in the food tasted a bit bitter, almost had like a soapy aftertaste. I also had a side of seasoned fries which were honestly really good and seasoned well which is what's giving it 3 stars instead of 2. I most likely will still come back and try something else because the reviews from other people on different meals here are saying that the food is good. I probably just ordered the wrong thing. read more

Solid all around. Nothing jumps out at you saying "this is amazing!!" But nothing was bad either. They put a ton of meat on the plate but very little amount of potatoes. The corn was probably sitting for awhile because it had a weird chewy texture but it tasted fine. The rice bowl could've used more than 2 plantains. Service was helpful with getting additional sauce. I would go back but it wasn't super great read more

Personally I feel like the giant turkey leg is a very safe option for theme park food. It's fairly priced (relatively speaking) and should be more than filling for your standard adult. This is good for what it is: theme park indoor dining. My family of two adults and twin children split two entrees (ribs and chicken) with milkshakes. The milkshakes are very much of the quality of 1990s buffet restaurants. Kind of grainy. Kids liked it. We all thought the ribs were ok but the chicken was better. Potatoes were a hit, but some didn't like the corn seasoning. Prices were high but not unreasonable for a theme park. Took about ten minutes to get our food on a fairly crowded Saturday. Tons of open tables. Reasonably clean restaurant but bathrooms a bit mid. We were all totally fine with our lunch which is a big success on a family trip. read more

$16.99 chicken & roasted pernil platter but with taxes and fees it came out to $18.09. Still pretty pricey but eh it's a theme park. You can order mobile and check in when you are close. Then scan the QR reader on the table you choose and your order will shortly be delivered to your table. The combo includes a milkshake and cost at $20.49 I think it was pretty good food portion for the price compared to elsewhere. I like that there was a variety on your plate. The platter above did not include the pernil and it instead had 3 pieces. However the chicken portions are large so you can share a plate between two people if you are kinda hungry. The corn was so good! Well cooked and it tasted sweet! The meats were not dry and not over seasoned. My only complaint was that the potatoes was too oily. The condiments area has ketchup, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Utensils are wrapped in plastic (which is great because kids tend to touch all of them). They also have water there. read more

Wow, I was surprised by the quality of the food at Thunder Falls Terrace near Jurassic Park. There were no lines with plenty of tables in a nicely air conditioned dining room. Rotisserie chicken salad (5/5): Fresh green veggies with shredded rotisserie chicken, mandarin orange slices, pecans, and dried cranberries. This is probably the most ingredients I've ever seen for an amusement park salad. It was great! Herb roasted potatoes (4/5): Well-seasoned side. People in my group also enjoyed the rice bowls and turkey legs. We were all well-rested before venturing into the sun again! read more

We stopped in here for lunch while at the park - and were happy to find this place! There were plenty of heathy(ish) options - and a nice meal vs. a sandwich or something fried. I decided to stop by Thunder Falls Terrace for something cold and sweet. I went in and got in line. They usually take your order and bring it to you at the table that's given to you. The tables are numbered and I guess that's how they know where to take the order. I ordered the vanilla milkshake. After they made it my husband asked if we could just take it and sit. No need for the extra step of having someone else bring it to us after we sit down and they were fine with it. I'm not sure if they would have agreed if there were more people in the restaurant but luckily they were cool with it. The restaurant is a large open space and it's air conditioned which feels good when you are walking around in the heat. The vanilla milkshake was really good. It was cold and sweet. Overall I'd recommend this place as a decent place to grab a quick sweet. They have lots of food options, sweets and drinks available to purchase for a regular price. As a side note if you have the premier pass you get a discount with food purchases. read more

Mediocre. I know it's theme park food so I should cut it some slack but I've had GOOD theme park food and i was beyond disappointed with my food here, especially after reading a couple good reviews. The rice and beans were so bland-It legit tasted like someone just microwaved it, the pernil had no flavor, and it was mostly fat pieces . The only thing that was good were the roasted potatoes and corn on the cob, but that too I added some salt and pepper to give it more flavor. If you're at IOA and looking for somewhere good to eat, you'll probably be disappointed with the options here, unless you order a salad, that's hard to mess up. read more

3 1/2 stars. Thunder Falls Terrace was one of the better casual theme park restaurants I have been to. The place is large with plenty of seating. Even in a fairly busy day there was no wait. The food is provided cafeteria style. There are two sides with the same food and the line moves quickly. It is nice to have a fast food type of place with offerings other than burgers, hot dogs, and fried food. Husband and 15 year old ordered the rotisserie chicken and ribs combo. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The ribs are not "fall of the bone" but they were tasty. Since it was Thanksgiving 13 year old and I ordered the big fat turkey legs. After years of going to amusement parks, I had never had a Henry the 8th style turkey leg. Now I know why! The leg is really difficult to eat. And even though it is really big, with all the cartilage and tendons there is really not much meat to eat. The few bites of meat I did get were smokey and flavorful. The French Fries were limp and cold. However, the roasted potatoes were wonderful....really well seasoned, some of the best I have ever had. The corn on the cob was also very good. On Thanksgiving Day you could order a turkey dinner for four. I thought that was a nice touch for those spending the holiday in the park. Our total bill for four was $80....not bad for a full meal at theme park, where prices are automatically inflated. Solid choice for a meal when you are at Islands of Adventure! read more
