Please don't let the strip mall location of this locally owned establishment fool you. It is far from the mundane, corporate establishments you'd find in such locales. The pressed bun burger aka the UFO is genius. Why? Because it's kitschy and fun. Not only that, sealing the bun seals in all the flavors. I got the original and my boyfriend got the spicy. All of the flavors and the juicy patty with fillings are neatly compacted allowing for an incredible burst of flavor with each bite. The onion rings have a unique taste to the lightly and perfectly fried ring. The portions are much bigger than they look. I ate half my burger and half an onion ring and I was full. Interesting burger concept taken from South Korea with sealed burgers located in the heart of Texas. We ordered three spinning buns, the classic spin, steak spin, and Nutella. The classic was okay, the steak was good, the Nutella was disappointing. The steak was like a Philly cheesesteak. The Nutella was off maybe because during the sealing process it cooks the fruit a bit? Also the sealing process makes it a nice grab and go meal. I had never heard of Korean style pressed burgers before coming here. They are good- but different. The press seals the burger so its hot, juicy with a crust. This burger doesn't have your classic lettuce and tomatoes on it- a bit more like a hot pocket. Overall I really liked the burger. I've had UFO burgers before and really liked them a lot, so I was excited to see that Austin had a spot that sold these as well! One misconception though, some descriptions label this restaurant as Korean style. And while this style was trending in Korea, the flavors are all still American. I think this is a really fun concept and a fun way to eat burgers. But in terms of burgers and the food itself, it wouldn't be my top pick. So I can see people coming here once for the experience, but not necessarily coming back for the food. However, I really would love if they added some Korean flavor styled burgers to the menu! It would also set them apart from other restaurants outside of the shape of the food to ensure people to come back. (And it's what I had originally expected it to be, so I'm sure other people have probably thought the same.) As for the actual food itself, I got the steak spin. Really delicious burgers. We tried the Classic Cheese and Chicken burgers with fries and onion rings. Both burgers were juicy, meaty, and hit the spot. I'm impressed how full I got. The chicken burger had fried batter, very yummy. Don't forget you can customize them when you order. Be careful. It's extremely hot fresh off the sandwich makers. Makes it perfect to order to-go; the pocket keeps the fillings warm for at least 20 mins. The sauces are all homemade. The owners are still experimenting and coming out with more flavors. They greet all the customers and ask for their opinions. The restaurant ambiance is casual, great for friends and families to grab a quick bite. The staff was all very friendly. When I was photographing the burger making process, I was invited in to film the burgers being pressed inside the sandwich maker. The machines press the buns together, sealing the juice inside and creating the flying saucer look. Hence "Spinning Buns". Caveat: I did get delivery so it's not as fresh, so I would highly recommend eating there, which I will re-review when I get to do so. Burger ends up being a bit soggy, like a burrito if you get delivery. I tried the chicken, classic, nutella, and some fries. The fries had some nice seasoning on them, but they did taste a little stale. And the burgers I tried were just alright. The chicken especially doesn't lend well to this format because the breading becomes soggy the longer it steams inside the bun. The overall value isn't bad, though. Spinning buns is a cool concept new to Austin where the restaurant uses what appears to be a waffle iron to seal the sides of a burger or chicken sandwich, eliminating the most annoying part of eating a sandwich -- the mess. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't too busy, however it did take a little long to receive our food. I ordered the chick spin and enjoyed it. The flavor was good and it was full of sauce that otherwise would have dripped out had the sandwich not been sealed. My first time here. I had heard about them from Instagram, I believe an influencer. (Your advertising is working) Parking lot is small/medium. It's a shopping center with parking all around, but right in front it's small. I walked in, and was greeted immediately. The menu is pretty straight forward. A few burger choices, sides, drinks, and you can get a combo. Which is what I ended up getting. I placed my order with a classic burger and onion rings. The combo also comes with a drink where you serve yourself. The dining area is small, and very clean. I grabbed a seat, and waited for my order to be ready. The gentleman that took my order also brought it to me. I would assume if it was busy they would call out your order number from the receipt. So the burger is just a basic classic burger. Nothing fancy. Had pickles and onions on it. It does come with a house sauce. Which taste spicy, but didn't have heat to it. Not sure how else to explain it. I thought it was good. The "bun" looks like a UFO, and there's a grill/branding marking of SB on top. Burger is thin, reminded me of a McDonald's burger, but with the house sauce, it was not McDonald's. Onion rings had a good flavor to them too. They are not the crunchy flaky type onions rings. They're more like a smooth battered onion rings. The meal comes with ranch. I did like the crunch of the onion rings. They seemed to have a little spicy flavor to them. Maybe the same sauce from the burger? The meal was filling. I wasn't able to finish the combo. This was a unique little food find near mueller. The sandwiches are sealed up in a "spinning bun" to where things aren't falling out of the sandwich. You can choose from burgers, chicken and dessert sandwiches. We heard the onion rings were good so we gave those a try and the breading tasted like corn dogs. For starters, this small restaurant does not face the road and is well hidden inside a parking lot next to a chicken wing joint. Inside there's only about 10 small tables and a single bathroom, but there are a couple tables out back. They have limited hours of operation and they are closed on Monday. This place recently opened and in my never-ending quest for the best burger in Austin, I had to try it out. Sadly, I have to admit this place is not going to make my list. It's an interesting concept they have going on as they press your burger together with a brioche bun, but it's not enough to have me coming back. I do give them credit for at least throwing either a fresh or frozen patty on the grill instead of dragging it out of some precooked chafing tray, but no flame grilling here. Their menu is very limited to the point of being oversimplified. After we made our burger order, I noticed on the overhead menu that I could've added another patty for $3, but it was too late and not mentioned on their paper menu. You do not get lettuce and tomato on your burger, but it does come with pickles. They do give you a small side salad with your burger, however, the only dressing they had was ranch. Apart from the burger, the best way to find out if this is a good burger joint is how good the fries and onion rings are. The rings were very greasy and mushy with very little crunch to them, very disappointing! The fries were average and were also a little too greasy. We wound up throwing half of them away. As for drinks, you can pick one up at the counter or use their soda machine which was not functioning on my visit. No alcohol or shakes served here. When paying with a credit card, the tip screen will pop up starting at 15%, all for making your own order, picking up your order and clearing off your table. To be honest, this is more like a two star experience, but since they opened very recently, they still may be trying to iron out the kinks, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. However, this is my first and last time here. Plenty of parking and photos included for more insight. read more

It is a newer establishment so I feel they are still working on the flow of the restaurant. It took a little bit for our food to come out. I had the original cheeseburger and it was savory but the meat to bun ratio had me picking off the extra crust and trying to focus on the meat and cheese.
