The kitchen staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was dining here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is small, and it's shared with several other establishments. Some parking spots are smaller than others, so be careful where you park. Food: I ordered the fish cake and pad see ew. The fish cakes or patties were hot, spicy, soft, tender, juicy, and packed full of flavor. It came with a side of diced cucumber and crushed peanuts in the sweet and chili sauce for you dip your fish cakes in. They were massive, and so fricken good! I highly recommend ordering it. Next, I ordered the chicken pad see ew. Good portion. The pad see ew was a combo of savory, sweet, and slightly sour tasting. The chicken was slightly chargrilled, so it brought a nice smoky flavor to the juicy and tender chicken. The noodles were soft and bouncy. The Chinese broccoli was super soft, savory, and lightly salted. Overall, it was an excellent meal. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, kind, friendly, and welcoming. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is a $10 credit card minimum.

Soonheene actually started in Seoul's famous Gwangjang Market where they were known for their pancakes, so I was excited to check it out. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Esther (the owner) and her daughter. They both went out of their way to explain the menu and answer all my questions with genuine smiles. That kind of hospitality really sets the tone for a meal. We ordered the Pork Mungbean Pancake, Rose Tteokbokki (creamy rice cakes with fish cake and sausage), Bibim-Naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles), and a whole fried chicken split into two flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasty. For half the chicken, I went with the original but added green onion and their special oriental sauce drizzle. The other half was spicy soy garlic. I'll admit, I liked the original better. I second-guessed myself when the owner's daughter mentioned soy garlic was their number one most popular flavor followed by honey butter, but I thought I would be different and try the spicy version. The spice kind of drowned out that garlicky soy flavor, so lesson learned. Next time I am going straight for the soy garlic and honey butter combo. For drinks, we tried the Korean coffee and cold yuzu drink, both refreshing and a nice complement to the food. By the end of the meal, everything was so good that I even found myself asking about catering their chicken for future events. The vibe inside is really comfortable with soft K-pop playing in the background. It is just enough for atmosphere but not too loud, so you can talk easily. The only tricky part is parking since it is in a busy plaza with a lot of other restaurants, but at least it is free. Overall, this was one of the most unique dining experiences we have had recently, made extra special by Esther and her daughter's hospitality. I love supporting family-owned spots like this, and I will definitely be back to try that famous soy garlic and honey butter chicken next time.

The big guy at the front counter looked at the customers in a disrespectful and condescending way, which made me feel looked down on. With that kind of attitude and service, they don't deserve my support or tip.

The cranky staff from before, along with all the bossy signage, are completely gone. The new service was a total night and day difference. Most importantly, the food is still just as delicious as it was when we first started coming here. We ordered the Duck Fried Rice, Glass Noodle Salad, Papaya Salad, and Pad See Ew with soft tofu. elEverything was fresh, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. So glad to see this spot back on track. GREAT FOR WHAT IT IS. After going to Yoshinoya so many times for some cheap and fast food, I got…read moretired and wanted to try something different. Every time I went to Yoshinoya, I passed by this Thai restaurant in this plaza that I didn't even know existed. So one day, I decided to give it a try.... and I'm so glad I did! What surprised me so much about this place was the price of everything. At $13.99 each for their Pad Thai and Drunken noodles, you are NOT going to find that price anywhere in this area with today's prices lol. Is the food here at the level of President Thai on Rosemead? No. But for the price you're paying, I'm really impressed and the food is still pretty good. At their ~$14 price point, they're also giving their big-chain neighbor, Yoshinoya, a run for their money too. They also have a BOGO free Thai Tea so don't forget to take advantage of that! What I want to harp on and warn everyone about though, is that the restaurant seemed very hot inside. I came at 2:30 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon in the summer and it seemed like they didn't have any AC working. Luckily, I ordered for take-out, but I definitely would not have been comfortable eating in the restaurant. I felt their portion sizes could be a bit bigger. I know I praise their low prices, but maybe that is the small trade-off--I felt those to-go boxes could be filled up a bit bigger! But minor harps aside (at least for me) I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for cheap and fast Thai food. The workers here (seemed like a family?) all seem very friendly and helpful and I encourage everyone to support local small businesses and give this place a try!

I was honestly surprised, especially since it's a Chinese restaurant. Ignore the negative reviews, this place is great. If you like katsu or curry, this place is bomb…read more It is fast casual, you can order online or on an app, and most customers are getting take out, but I see nothing wrong with that. The item we get the most is tonkatsu pork cutlet with egg omelet, rice and curry. The curry is just a sauce, no extra chunks of vegetable like carrot or onion but after trying numerous spots, we really enjoy the flavor and seasoning of the curry. The pork is always juicy and well-friend and the egg adds extra protein and texture. Instead, there are steamed broccoli florets which I like even better. The other item I'm obsessed with lately is the Tomato Wagyu Patty Rice Bowl. White rice is topped with a smallish wagyu hamburg patty of sorts, a tomato "salsa" which is like a chunky tomato sauce. The tomato sauce is addictive and it's great mixed with the rice. My only qualm with this dish is that it could use two patties, or even three to complement the amount of rice. We had a bit of a curry katsu kick and tried the dish from numerous restaurants in the area. I can safely say that Curry Flurry remains at the top of our list.
