Vino è Bueno! Wine IS good and Spero has some really tasty varietals! Spero is a family owned winery in Denver just off 64th. #SupportLocal! Spero purchases grapes from vineyards in Palisade (home of the best grape and peach), Pueblo and Lodi, CA but regardless, the blends are super. I tend to favor fruit wines and the Pomegranate and the Raspberry Red were my favorite. Their specialty wine, the Vino Ghiacciato, is also fabulously smooth. I tasted a hint of chocolate so could be why? Either way, it is well worth the $30/bottle price tag. Whites run $16 and reds $17. Very good price points for award winning wines! The tasting room is open to walk-ins on Saturdays only from 1-5p. The pours are generous (and complimentary) and what is even more wonderful, limitless. The only wine not on the tasting menu was a/the Pinot Grigio but Spero has plenty to choose from. Grab a list and a glass and let the sampling begin. It is a great way to spend date night, catching up with friends or maybe even a start to a bachelorette party.

Worth a visit! Very chill/ laid back vibes and the staff there is great! Tastings are at no charge and although I'm not a wine expert, the ones I tasted were delicious. Favorite one is the Zinfandel.

Such a beautiful unassuming winery! I would have probably driven right past if I hadn't seen a…read morevideo online and come specifically to check them out. Now, word to the wise, a friend of mine and I came here after a hike - the BEST time to stop into any winery :) - It was Sunday around 1pm and every table outside was completely booked and we had two dogs with us, so we had to sit outside. We were almost out of luck, but thankfully one reservation did not show, so after a short wait, they seated us right by the stage. All of the staff were friendly and helped us get settled in, even offering a dog water bowl and little dog yoga mats so they would be comfy on the gravel. We ordered a flight - 6 tastes for $15, highly recommend and we treated ourselves to a post-hike baked brie that was perfect. We found out that if you order three bottles of wine to take home your tasting is free, so naturally... :) I will call ahead and make a reservation next time so we can be seated right by the river. Aspen Peak has such a lovely chill vibe and delicious reds whites and rosés!

We don't drink so we were excited to try the menu. Kinda of expensive for the portions. The taste was underwhelming and needed a bit more. We have the Gabacho, meatballs and porctha sandwich. It was good but I was hoping for more flavor. I certainly hope dinner is better. Love the creek side. They had a cover band which was actually pretty damn good. Can't speak to their own but considering how busy it was, it must be good. Hope the wine is better than the food.

We weren't quite sure where to enter from the back parking lot, but we saw a "Wine Tasting This Way" sign that led us through an area being set up for a wedding...whoops! Not sure if the sign had been moved or simply hadn't been moved for the wedding. Once we made our way to the tasting area, it was extremely busy and we had no idea where or how to check in. We eventually asked someone who came up to the register to check out another guest, and they promptly got us checked in. The tasting itself was nice, we tasted about 20 diff wines, and we had a lovely girl serving us. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was as first time visitors, we weren't given any info about how the tasting experience worked. It took about an hour and a half, and we didn't receive the advertised tour that was included. After the tasting, we were ready to purchase some wine and waited behind another couple who was checking out. However, no one ever acknowledged us or came over to help us check out. I think this place is probably great, but the disorganized check-in, lack of clear signage, and inattentive staff made the experience more difficult. As first time visitors, we would have loved a little more guidance.

Today should have been no exception except it was. Instead of being friendly and helpful with my easy order of 1 bottle to go, 1 glass of wine and 1 hummus plate the bar staff decided to make it her job to make my time snd $ difficult. I hate paying $100 for servers to act condescending and trite over something as easy as basic customer service. Refused to place my hummus order with my wine bottle "to go" order unless I sat down and had it ordered by another staff member. Soooo I took my single glass of wine and had to find a host member to get me a table, go sit and wait 20 minutes just to place an order of hummus. Then another 20 for it to arrive. I just wanted to pop in for a glass of wine and small plate of hummus as snack to go w the wine. Plenty of servers. No big crowds or big rush, the bar was empty and mind you the venue is very small. So not sure what the big deal was. I think owners and management need to educate the newer younger staff on REAL customer service and how to make things work for the customer not the other way around. Like why was this bartender making something so simple so difficult. Also, at the end of my visit I didn't appreciate being startled and rudely interrupted 2x by a very young waitress that is clearly new and obviously has zero customer service skills or experience serving people. Would have been 1 Star today for Creekside if it weren't for Ryker. He should be the example and litmus for servers.

Sat outside on the upper deck with view of the water and trees (it's August- I can only imagine how lovely it is when the leaves change color); It is noted as a winery, and there are grape plants around, but the wine served is primarily from California which is deceiving. So instead of wine, i enjoyed mimosos and split food with the wife for a nice afternoon to avoid adulting. Shared the fig + prosciutto flatbread as well as the flank steak main dish. Combined, this was delicious and filling to a level of comfortable (no doggy bag, and also not aching from over eating). Was looking forward to going down to the area next to the lake to sit and enjoy one more drink, but unfortunately a storm moved in quick so we left. Would come out here again for an enjoyable yet brief "getaway" for a couple hours.

I burned my tongue and it was so worth it. I would recommend asking for a second scoop of ice cream as it felt a little small in comparison to the size of the cookie. But get this dessert! The property is quite nice to walk around and even has a little gift shop. Give them a visit!

Then when he did acknowledge me and I stated I would sit at the bar, it took several minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. The staff was busy speaking to each other and doing side work. Once I was acknowledged, things started getting a little better. When I arrived during breakfast/brunch, I was informed they were in the middle of a menu change, so my choices were limited. Breakfast items include bacon and burritos. I started off with a charcuterie board (though I had asked for a fromage board). This was not only because I wanted some tasty cheese, but I was trying to kill time until the lunch/dinner menu started. The board was a great board, two different meats, three cheeses, a loaf of bread, some nuts and jellies. But it was 40 dollars! I had a few small plates (which was still a lot of food). I had a melon and cucumber salad, which was a good palate cleanser. I also had the roasted king mushrooms, which were underwhelming with no seasoning, and they were a little chewy. The best thing was the wild boar meatballs, which were seasoned really well and in a savory, delicious marinara sauce. All the cocktails were fruity (but not sweet) and refreshing. I had one that was carrot based (Kiss my Carrot with tequila, cointreau, carrot, orange, and ginger), one that had pineapple flavor (paper boat with rum, falernum, aperol, lemon, pineapple), and the smoky smoke and flower (hibiscus mezcal, cointreau, pama, rose water). This spot is a winery, so they have a large wine list. They have handhelds like burgers and flatbreads. Starters like artichoke dip and bruschetta. Some of the current entrees, which might change, are hanger steak, chilean salmon, cauliflower steak. They had a gnocchi dish I was interested in, but it's already been removed from the menu. The restaurant is classy and just like a winery is expected to be. The food is pretty good. But the service was really subpar.
