The tastings usually include at least 10-15 wines including fortified dessert wines. The wines are different than traditional "California" wines due to their natural open fermentation, but they are always tasty and interesting. And the food is amazing! The charcuterie board is wonderful with a wide variety of meats, cheeses, fruit, and nuts. The bacon wrapped dates are killer! They have so much more on the menu that we haven't tried but it all sounds wonderful. Overall it's an amazing way to spend lunch or an afternoon. And the staff, including the family who owns the winery, are wonderful. It's just an overall great experience every time we visit!

Blanchard Family Wines is located in the Dairy Block off of Wazee near Union Station. We went in around the holidays in December and were met with prompt service and very kind servers. I've now been a member for over 5 years, going in at least once a month, and they still suggest trying seasonal options and have broadened my palette... Though my ex and I have parted ways for a long while now and he moved away, he's kept our membership current, calling it my "alimony," and a nod to remembering the good times we had together.
