If I could give a zero I would. Every year, my husband and I take a special anniversary trip where we go the extra mile to make it special. We booked a Private Limousine Transfer through Amstar to pick me and my husband up from the airport in Maui to take us to our hotel. The limousine was an extra cost. Apparently, Amstar uses a 3rd party, Speedi Shuttle, to deliver the services. The communication from Speedi was great with letting us know where to go. We first received a call letting us know that a Black BMW would pick us up. (That's a sedan and we paid extra for a limousine, but it was late and I wasn't going to complain.) However, the driver came in a grey Kia minivan! I refused to pay $300+ for a Kia minivan ride to the hotel. I could get an Uber to ride in a Kia for $85. At this point, I call customer service and recorded the call to question where was the product we paid for. They first stated that the driver was in the wrong vehicle and they would send a sedan. Then I asked about refunding a portion of my money because we paid extra for a limousine transfer. By this time the driver in the Kia minivan leaves on his own. The representative then stated they no longer had transportation for us and would let Amstar know to refund us our money. Nevertheless, we wasted 45 minutes when we had to end up calling an Uber. read more

We booked SpeediShuttle for a pre-paid, roundtrip ride to the Honolulu International Airport. We considered using an Uber, but had some larger pieces of luggage, and thought that their vans could handle them better than a car. We called to confirm our shuttle the day before, but was unable to get a hold of them. We also tried multiple times the day of our flight, also to no avail. After waiting 45 minutes past the scheduled pick-up time, we had to ask our neighbor to drive us to the airport at the last minute. Upon returning from the mainland, we received a confirmation call for our scheduled shuttle. We waited for an hour for our shuttle to pick us up, and it never showed up. The shuttle attendant did her best to ignore us the entire time we were waiting. When we asked her what we should do, she said "you should take an Uber". Recall that we PRE-PAID for this shuttle service. We learned our lesson, and will just call an Uber next time. read more

STAY AWAY! Completely unreliable. Can I give zero starts instead of one? I had a very late night flight and they just simply did not show up. There is no number to get in touch with anyone after hours. Even cabs are hard to come by that time of night out there so fortunately some random strangers shared their cab. I sent multiple emails and called multiple times, and no one even returned my call until I threatened to write bad reviews. They did refund my shuttle money but I asked them to cover the extra that I had to pay for the taxi (it was $16 dollars extra) and they completely ignored me and have not written back. read more

We recently took speedi shuttle for our airport - hotel trips in Maui and Oahu. Overall, they did a very good job. The rep had signs at the airport to find them easily. The trips were efficient and the drivers were welcoming and friendly. The only thing keeping them at a 4 star instead of 5 star was a couple little communication mistakes where to pick up the shuttle at our hotel as it is important to be very specific of the meeting place. They were very flexible on a couple of changes to the itinerary for timing and location and we highly recommend them on your next trip to the Hawaiian Islands. read more

VERDICT: take Uber!!! They're everywhere. I booked SpeediShuttle through my hotel and flight ticket through Expedia. What a mistake that was. Expedia: please reconsider using them. Let me start with the only two pros: - clean, modern Mercedes van with wifi - easy to locate in the terminal upon arrival (in baggage claim) Cons: - Apathetic front desk staff more interested in chatting with each other - At arrival we were told to go to this one guy who was walking here and there to corral people. He said to follow him so there's 6 of us following him throughout the terminal looking for two people. It was like the Benny Hill show minus the music - at pickup for our 2:25pm flight, we were told to get ready for pickup at 11:45am. Seemed way too early and it was. We had way too much time to kill - the driver for our departure home was way too aggressive, slamming the brakes three times - upon arriving at the cruise ship terminal, the departure driver didn't explain to the foreign tourists that this wasn't the airport. The Swiss and Korean passengers had to ask me what was going on. The same driver upon arrival at the airport did NOT announce to the passengers that we arrived at the Hawaiian departure terminal. Again I had to explain to the passengers that this was their stop to get off. - he wasn't friendly either. Despite so, I still begrudgingly gave him a very small tip Next time we'll take Uber. read more

We have never flown into this airport. We were so happy that a representative from the company would meet us as we exit our plain and escort us to baggage claim. And help us with all our bags. No one greeted us. The airport is not well marked so we didn't know we had to beard a shuttle to the baggage claim- so we walked 10 minutes with 2 kids all the way to the other side of the airport. When we finally found he baggage claim- the person who was supposed to have met us gave some excuse for not meeting us. Then she showed us the direction as to where we're to walk but didn't take our luggage until we told her she needed to help--this is a limo service. Not self serve taxi. Then we got to another area and she told us we needed to talk to someone else and sort of left us--still no help and no limo. The person she passed us to didn't do anything except stare at us. No hello. No welcome. Nothing. Not even a hey--your limo will be here in a moment. Very bad service. Not the way to start a Vacation. Take a Taxi- it will be easier. And the people will be friendlier. Only bright note-once the limo driver came- he was very nice. read more

Not how anyone should be welcomed to Hawaii. I saw other companies with signs and leis and they were calling for their group. I wasn't sure they were going to pick us up. I finally saw a sign next to the baggage claim so I went up to a guy and asked if he was the shuttle guy. He didn't seem to give a crap if he found his people or they found him. We climbed into the shuttle and then the leis showed up! The lei greeting happened in the back of the van! Unacceptable. Take Roberts Hawaii next time. The actual driver was nice, though. read more

Our plane arrived at Honolulu International Airport at 9:30 pm. The SpeediShuttle rep was at the luggage carousel as promised. We took a long walk to their shuttle (airport design issues) and boarded our shuttle. We had a very pleasant ride with another quest who was also heading out to Waehone Bay. The driver answered all of our questions on our 30 minute drive to our hotel. The price was right and they took us to where we needed to go. read more

The shuttle was an hour late picking everyone up from the Airport, Fair enough things happen. My husband had his wallet in the shuttle. He know this because he paid a friend cash in the shuttle Towards the total fee. Our hotel was the first drop off. After drop off, my husband immediately noticed his wallet missing. We called. Speedi shuttle said they would look for the wallet and dispatch would call us back. They didn't call back. I called back at 8am the following morning to ask why dispatch didn't call back? I was Informed they found the wallet, and would drop it off at our hotel at 3:00pm. It is now 5:30 pm. We called to ask why the wallet was not dropped off yet? We were then informed that the wallet was never found, and they didn't know what to say about it. No phone call to explain they were not coming, or that it was never found. Wasted time waiting around with no follow up. This is shady behaviour and poor customer service. They really could care less about their customers. read more

August 2014 used (pre-booked Speedi Shuttle before we left the UK several weeks ago) for collection from Honolulu airport to Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel and return. When we landed (on-time) we eventually got a shuttle (3 people) after waiting over an hour, complaining twice in that time and being told each time (typicla Hawaiian time) it will be here in 10 mins (it never was). Drivers were great and talked about the island and would answer questions but the poor staff at the airport haven't got a clue (not their fault, they just don't get told any real information from the control centre), would have been cheaper to hire a cab, avoid after a long transatalntic flight. read more

While riding my bicycle down Nimitz Highway towards Waikiki, SpeediShuttle license plate TBZ 348 intentionally tried to run me and two my friends down. He was honking his horn and swerving to the right forcing me to jump the curb to avoid being hit. Seriously? A shuttle service trying to run down a cyclist? Had he not honked, I wouldn't have reacted soon enough to get out of his way. I would have been hit by a Mercedes van at, causing serious injuring. When we we arrived in Honolulu and booked a shuttle to our hotel in Waikiki, she basically scared the bejeezus out of us into getting a return shuttle. She lured us into the two-way ticket right away. She told us, over and over, that we would miss our weekend island-hop flight unless we hopped on board at 5:30 am - - 2.5 hours before our departure to Kauai, the friendly neighbor island. There would be gridlocked traffic to the airport at that pre -dawn hour, she said. And lines of fellow weekend island-hoppers like us, she said, mucking up security. Who's going to argue with that? How dumb we were... Fast-forward to today. The shuttle showed up right on time at that ungodly hour. It's the only time ever where I wished for traffic. Nope. The roads were clear. Security was a ghost town. We made it from our hotel to gate in less than 45 minutes. Now, with nearly two hours to spare at the gate, we're sleepy and cranky and cold and have plenty of time to write this nasty-gram and wonder why we just didn't ignore Angela, stay in bed until sunrise, order an Uber to the airport and pay less. The best part - - when we called the shuttle office from the gate to complain about all this, they weren't even open yet. I hope you're enjoying your beauty rest, Angela, as we sit in the airport and wait for the coffee shop to open. Booked a scheduled pickup in Kahului airport to a hotel in Lahaina. We were scheduled to arrive at 10 pm and the company was aware of this. I tried calling them at 10:15 as soon as we got out of the plane, We were out in the departure terminal and their booth was closed. We asked drivers in the taxi stand and they laughed. They said that it happens a lot with Speedishuttle. We tried calling several more times before giving up and using a ride hailing service around 11pm. I tried emailing them about this incident and their response was "Sometimes drivers are delayed in their arrival but they always fulfill the service. Picking up guests after 10pm is a regular practice for us and is most always successful." No apologies, no concern whatsoever. I didn't get picked up. Not even an offer to refund. If you want to start your Maui experience right, don't use this service. Use Lyft or Uber instead. The airport shouldn't allow them to serve the public. They gladly take your money and will not fulfill the services expected. read more

We had a very poor experience with Speedishuttle on the way to our hotel in Oahu. First of all when we arrived at the airport and tried to walk across the street to the hotel shuttles the driver stopped us and told us those were only scheduled and prepaid pick ups which I discovered later was not true. He said we "had to" use them because they are the "official airport shuttle". The trip was $29.10 for 2 people and the driver didn't "know addresses" and wasn't familiar with our major resort. He had no navagation system and clearly didn't know hotel names either. He only had 2 stops and asked each of us several times (litterally) what the hotel name was. The drive was only 15 minutes but he couldn't even remember the hotel name.The driver attempted to drop us off at 2 other resorts a block away which wouldn't be far if not for our luggage and the fact that we were tired since it was almost midnight. We didn't get out of the van until speaking with the resort staff by phone to confirm the correct location of our resort. We had prepaid for a round trip which we cancelled immediately after settling into our room. The next day we noticed there were 2 charges on our card. This was corrected only after I made contact with Speedishuttle and a couple of days later with my bank. The bell staff got us on an upscale van service for less than half the price of Speedishuttle for our trip back to the airport. Overpriced, poor service and unknowledgable staff! read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND SPEEDI SHUTTLE!!! -On multiple ocassions they failed to show up for airport pick-ups. -They produce a pick-up time on a receipt that they give to the customers, but that time NEVER corresponds with what they have in their computer system. -They change pick-up times WITH OUT notifying the customer and expect the customer to call them and find out that they've changed the time. - On NUMEROUS occassions our guests have had to call taxi's and pay anywhere from $30-$40 dollars to get to the airport and make their flight. - When calling to check on reservations while guests are waiting for their ALREADY LATE shuttle pick-up, I am always put on hold for a RIDICULOUS amount of time - The agents on the phone are occasionally friendly, but most of the time we deal with snippy people with attitude that don't seem to care - The entire airport shuttle system that they have going does not make any sense and overall, it is NOT reliable. Unless you want to miss your flight and wait for hours for Speedi Shuttle to pick you up, DO NOT BUY A RETURN TICKET WITH THEM. They'll take you from the airport to your hotel/hostel but GOOD LUCK getting them to pick you up on the correct date at the correct time! read more

The booking agent told us to allow two hours prior to our flight and we did. Then the driver made one more stop after ours. We sat for almost 30 minutes waiting for him to return. When we advised that we now needed to hurry, his response was rude and unapologetic. Instead he berated us about how he has to talk to dispatch or he might get fired. Unacceptable customer service. Then the next driver simply refused to take me and also refused to give his information for a complain. When I called the call center I was placed on hold until the next driver came to pick me up but I waited anyway. When finally the girl picked up the phone I asked for her name and she hung up!
