Even though I booked pretty late and our first choice (the Coors) was already booked weeks out, they came through with "The Beast," and we were able to secure it just three days before our event. An extra shout-out to our driver, Delson; he was an absolute gem. We rented the bus for four hours on a Saturday, and he was incredible at staying in touch and being exactly where we needed him throughout the night. He even circled back to multiple stops when a few people realized they'd left phones or purses on the bus. We didn't have a set route; everyone wrote down a bar, and we spun the wheel roulette-style, which made the night even more fun. We ended up extending the rental by another two hours and would've gone longer if road closures for the marathon hadn't cut us off. Highly recommend OPB and Delson for any group event! We recently attended a birthday party that booked Oahu Party Bus for a teen celebration. Our party bus driver Shane picked us up and immediately after entering the birthday teen, his friends, and parents were amazed by the lights, birthday decorations, and balloons that were already prepared by OPB. Everyone got to ride in the big "BEAST" bus to Kapolei Ka Makana Mall while enjoying the snacks and drinks that were also included in this package. On the bus the teens got to hookup their bluetooth and play music they enjoyed. OPB Staff- TJ greeted us at the mall and walked us over to arena. pointed out the restrooms nearby. After we all jumped back on the bus to cool off we headed to a park where TJ met us with tables ALREADY prepared with birthday table covers, 4 Large Hot Pizzas, and cold drinks ready for us to enjoy. Our last stop was the cherry on top- Daves Ice Cream Shop (personally my favorite ice cream and its MADE IN HAWAII). OPB was hired to take high school students to their senior prom. The experience these kids had was not one you'd expect when wanting to commemorate their last high school event before graduation. The first complaint comes as the kids notified the mother responsible for the reservation they rode down in a hot bus as the AC was not working properly. In speaking with the owner to address the true complaint, it was discovered he was made aware of the bus having mechanical issues in route to the pick up location. The mother responsible called into to make the complaint regarding the bus. There was no initiative taken to reach out to the mother to address the issue or provide advisement and offer a solution to rectify the situation immediately. I'm sure this mother would have agreed to have the children wait as pick up time was still early for the driver to be rerouted to pick up a properly functioning bus. The lack of communication is unacceptable and provides horrible customer service. The main reason for this yelp review is because of the irresponsible driver who jeopardized the safety of these kids due to the driver not being able to stay awake. The route booked had them going the scenic route through Waimanalo and past Sandy Beach and into their final destination in Waikiki. The bus driver kept swerving and nodding off the entire route. A kid needed to wake up the driver as they were coming around Makapu'u. The kids also needed to blast their music in their attempt to keep the driver awake. As a parent of one of the children on this bus, I am completely irate and in disbelief of this drivers negligence. It's by the grace of god, these children arrived to their prom unharmed because they didn't get there safely. The owner apologized for his drivers negligence but not without mentioning how something like this would affect his insurance and his mention of the good his company does with transporting drunks weekly having them avoid DUIS. All good to mention in an appropriate conversation not during a conversation regarding the safety of passengers aboard his party bus. He mentioned he was in contact with the mother responsible for the booking to rectify the AC situation. This review is being solely written in advisement as a teaching moment for all especially our kids, to not be afraid to tell the driver to pull over and call their parents in this situation. I pray this is the first and last incident of this magnitude for this company. read more

He drove seven of us "Grandma's Gone Wild" all in our 60's two of us celebrating birthday's and a Bridal Shower.. yup you heard that right! around the island! I called Oahu Party Bus on October 3 after midnight because their bus was illegally parked on a private street, blasting loud music and dropping off drunk kids in the neighborhood. Later saw the bus drive off through the side road that specifically has signs that say "No thru traffic." Being as this was a first offense, I called the company and spoke to a man (who I assume is the owner or manager). I let him know what was going on and asked them to park elsewhere next time because it affects people in the neighborhood and technically they're not supposed to park there anyway. He apologized for the driver not lower the sound, but was extremely condescending regarding everything else. He said I needed to "catch them in the act" for him to scold them. In addition, he essentially said "You're welcome" that this only happened once and felt they were doing a pretty good job. Definitely NOT what you want to hear when you're tired, trying to sleep and were DISTURBED by the company's operations, and you have work the next morning. My takeaway was that nothing was going to change and I needed to deal with it. Super disappointed with the lousy response I received. There is literally a noise ordinance after 10pm; my request was not unreasonable. Shape up Oahu Party Bus. I've always wanted to try the Oahu party bus but it seemed kind of expensive at around $200 per hour. Fortunately, a Meetup Group organized a 4-Hour Adventure on the Phantom which seats 25 people. We met on a Saturday night at 6 p.m. outside the Foodland Farms Ala Moana Shopping Center and boarded the bus. The organizer had already loaded ice and we all brought our own beverages. All 25 people boarded the bus and we were off on our adventure. The first stop was Papa John's to pick up food. It was a pretty wild adventure as the music was blaring and many people wanted to dance on the dancing Pole located at the middle of the bus. After a couple stops, I figured out that the back of the bus is the place to be because the air conditioning is much colder and there are less people back there. We went from Ala Moana all the way out to Sandy Beach and back doing our 4-Hour adventure. Because the cost was divided among 25 people, it was only $30 each. It was a great experience but the only thing lacking was an on-board restroom and due to the limitations of the bus, we were not able to climb steep mountains like going up Tantalus. We had such a wonderful time last month, we're doing it again next week! MATTHEW was our driver in February and when they say you'll have a PROFESSIONAL driver, expect nothing less. Driving on O'ahu roads can be challenging at times for many; now add driving a bus full of partying passengers, AND keeping them all safe and well because your driving was pristine. That's how our experience went. No one in our party fell or got sick, and most importantly, no one on the road was endangered by the service OPB provides-keeping potential drunk drivers safely contained and happy on their buses. I truly appreciate OPB for making it a priority to serve their clients AND the public with safe transportation. 1 tip I'll share is to be mindful & cleanly while onboard, especially if you're a sandwich reservation-bring general cleaning supplies (napkins, wipes, etc.) or have them available at your drop off destination in case of any spills or just to be considerate of the next party and driver. I'll also be bringing a trash bag to clean as we go throughout the ride. This isn't required, but OPB is a company you easily feel taken care by, so it feels nice/right to assist the drivers like you would at home & not trash the bus. It's also just lovely to party in a clean environment and not come home sticky from spilled drinks or leaks out of "empty" cans, etc. That's why we'll be coming prepared lol. The buses have ALWAYS been clean upon arrival. There are USB available with music videos that play on the screens, but you can also connect to the Bluetooth and play your own music if you'd like. The screens will not play videos, of course, but it is a really nice option they kindly offer. Gene was extremely informative, personable and accommodating whilst I booked with him over the phone.
