Gosh knows I've had my issues with Spectrum but I have to give their tec support props. They are always helpful and very polite. Today I called with a WiFi issue. The technician I talked to immediately identified that it was a computer issue and not a Spectrum issue. He gave me some suggestions on how to adjust my laptop settings and even looked up the support number for my computer maker! I felt like he went above and beyond what he needed to do. Moved from California a few years ago and we have had Spectrum cable and internet ever since. The internet speed and reliability has been good and the cable has been good for the most, although it is not inexpensive. The best thing that we have found is the Spectrum Mobile service that we switched to a few months ago. The cost is less than half of what we used to pay with AT&T and the service is better! They use the Verizon network, so it is very reliable. I would recommend Spectrum for cable and internet and highly recommend them for mobile cell phone service read more

Spectrum sucks. BE WARNED. They refuse to pro-rate even for a couple of days. If you cancel, be aware of when your billing cycle is because they'll charge you for the full month even if you've only used a couple of days! Don't let them rip you off, too! What a rediculous, expensive monopoly Spectrum is in Reno, NV. Phil in Customer Service was not willing to work with me today on any reduction in my monthly bill, even though I have been a customer with them for over 7 years. Spectrum took Cinemax and Epix away from our Gold Plan a year ago, but charged us the same amount. Now they have increased by $20 per month and are not willing to work with me. My main problem is the cost that Spectrum charges. The guide freezes/locks up at least on a weekly basis. I will say Customer Service answers the phone quickly and has not kept me waiting, but I am very disappointed in Spectrum. You should be ashamed! read more

I would give this company 1/2 a star if it would let me. Very expensive for crap internet service. Even in my small 1 bedroom apartment the internet is spotty at best in the bathroom. It has completely gone out for hours and hours at a time on multiple occasions and when I talk to customer service they do nothing to help and give you no money off of your bill for the outage. They simply do not care about their customers at all. My smart TV cannot even pick up the signal or hold it for any length of time in the bedroom. Even when I go to work charter is letting me down. The company services the entire communication system and television Internet, and phone lines and they are constantly going down. On the treadmills they have come to try to work on them three different times and still they do not work. If I could get AT&T where I lived, I would have already switched. read more

We have voice, internet, TV and mobile service, but getting support is HORRIBLE. Called and tried online support, all give double speak and can't resolve issues. And the sad part, we are trying to upgrade our service, which we already pay over $300 combined a month for and nobody can answer questions or resolve issues.... We never had issues before we dropped Silver Package, but after dropping, internet has become slow and unstable, with prime channels, listed as current, no working properly....MAD, frustrated and sad at this poor service read more

Yea! Sandi! Went into the Disc Drive location in Sparks. I have had Charter for 3 yrs. now. No internet access is perfect and any company is only as good as it's customer service. Their phone service lacks, but in person, at the office location is great! Also, the service techs that come out have been knowledgeable and friendly. Several times Stephanie has come to my rescue. She's really thorough & does everything possible to clear up any issues. This time it was Sandi that happily came to my rescue. I mentioned I live on a fixed income & without skipping a beat she smiled & lowered my monthly cost by $20.00 & raised my speed. No miracle, just helpful, good customer service. I have had Spectrum in my house since July, and have had no problems until the end of December. My house has no wifi connection at all. I have attempted to call Customer Service along with the number for the local store numerous amounts of times with the only advice being to restart my equipment via the app, so I did. It failed. So I called back again and I was told me to reset my equipment by physically holding the power button for 10 seconds and it should be up and running, but it still failed. So now my frustration begins. I have documented every time I have attempted to get ahold of someone with no answer, or help. I am now going on 23 days without a wifi connection, and nobody has gotten back to me (as stated). Spectrum is about to lose a customer! read more

If you live in Fernley Nevada do whatever you can to avoid spectrum at all costs. They are the worst company I've ever had to endure in my life. They waste every moment of your time that they possible can. The techs that come out for installation are lazy and smug. At first the guy told us that it is not possible to move the access point then said he could do it but it would be super ugly and it's a lot of work to do and he would leave large holes in our new house's walls. Then when we asked for a different tech, he didn't know how to hook up our line so we had to schedule another visit. The first top notch tech came back out and of course after rubbing it in our faces that he was "the best the company had" said he'd have to schedule a dig and we wouldn't have internet the whole day. I work from home and had to use a vacation day. Then they never showed up. When called they all kept saying they might still show up. Don't waste your time or money on these incompetent, lazy, useless morons. read more

All I wanted was to retire and watch tv and enjoy the internet and for several months that's what I did and then Spectrum decided to expand their user base without expanding their infrastructure and screwed all of their existing customers over. Up until the first week of September my Roku tv was running Hulu Netflix Amazon video Disney+ Peacock HBO and the Spectrum Tv app with no problems. Suddenly you can't watch anything without constant buffering. The service department was called and claimed that connecting all of the school children was denigrating their signal strength and there V was no fix. If you have to go to a Spectrum store for any of your services, I recommend the store on Disc Dr. In Sparks Galleria off Pyramid Hwy. The best way to prepare for the visit is to make a reservation appointment online prior, and when you arrive, see Matthew! The service has been great each time we have had to go recently, for multiple mobile and internet/tv changes that we have had to make. The service has been great each time on a Sunday no less, because we scheduled the appointment ahead of time. But we found Matthew to be VERY knowledgeable about everything, and patient with us, who are not really tech savvy. He provided excellent and thorough customer service, and provided excellent monthly savings for us. Being in Customer Service myself, I have very high expectations, and the Spectrum Reps at this location did not disappoint! read more

Not sure how I ended up with premium channels. I called as soon as I received the bill. They accused me of ordering it, I never ordered it or even used it. When I finally asked to speak with a supervisor, I was put on hold for 20 minutes. The operator then told me that the supervisor was busy and I would have to wait 24 hours for them to call me back.  They were rude and condescending the whole time I did finally get to talk to someone to me, but only when I said I wanted to talk to someone about cancelling service. After 1 hour with them, they finally agreed to take the $25 off my $250+ bill. I am paying $225 a month for basic cable and internet, with no extras.  Rip off. Their customer service reps must have an iq lower than 25. Spent over an hour trying to explain that I want two different internet connections and she said she finally understood. We set up an appointment, the day finally comes and then they decide to cancel without letting us know. They also set up another appointment with us without letting us know. So when they finally arrive I'm unaware they're going to be here and THEY END UP NOT EVEN HAVING THE CORRECT REASON FOR THE APPOINTMENT. So what do I get in return? A recall to customer service where I had to wait on hold while the installer is here not able to do anything. I was on hold for over 30 minutes and when I finally get in touch with them there is apparently nothing they can do. Just moved to Reno from socal last week, and my new place is slab down in the middle of a canyon. NO CELL RECEPTION!!! It was awful, so I went down to spectrum. I was set up with an affordable plan in under 10 minutes. Sandi was super nice and informative and connected with me on a personal level. I appreciate things like that. And service was set up in 2 hours that day. How convenient!!! It feels so good to have means to communicate via web and via phone again. Thanks again spectrum for the promptness and level of service. Charter spectrum promises 100mps internet service; that is a lie. I had their internet service and trying to watch a movie on Netflix or amazon prime, it always stopped and started over and over again. I had Netflix and Amazon Prime check my internet speed, the highest we ever found was 23mps, nowhere near 100mps. I could not watch any 4K movies, I could not watch anything without it stopping and starting over and over again. Charter does not give you 100mps. read more

I'm a Spectrum cable and internet subscriber and went into the store on Prototype Drive in Reno find out about the mobile service. Their prices seemed great compared to what I'm currently paying with Verizon so I decided to make the switch. The salesperson seemed super-nice and checked my device, a Samsung S8, to make sure it would work on their network. He said the phone would work, so I signed up. The salesperson changed the sim card on my phone and ported my phone number from Verizon to Spectrum only to find out my phone does NOT work with Spectrum. The salesperson, manager, and Spectrum's helpline all attempted to get the phone to work to no avail. Eventually, the manager told me this was a "known issue" with Samsung S8 phones on their network. I asked why the salesperson didn't tell me that BEFORE he moved my phone number from Verizon, and he told me it usually only happens with T-Mobile, not Verizon... In the end, they were unable to get the phone to work and could not restore my Verizon service either. The salesperson told me I would probably need a new Verizon sim card since they had deactivated the one in the phone, and I left the store with an inoperable phone. Fortunately, the Verizon store down the street from them was eventually able to get my phone number back from Spectrum and reactivate my phone. In total I spent about two hours at Spectrum and an hour and a half at Verizon try to get the issue resolved. I'm sticking with Verizon now! read more

We have had nothing but problems with our service since Oct. Can't watch recordings the guide does not work half the time and we have lost signals a lot we had a number of tech's come out to just reset the box. Come to find out a week ago that the line is bad. Still waiting to get fixed i called yesterday 12/30/17 and after talking to the customer service rep seh told us that she has Directv and if we are not happy with the service than we should go else where. We have had charter for a while now, on top of constantly uping our monthly bill our internet literally almost never works. We have whole days where the internet will just decide to not work AT ALL all day, no matter what we do. Weather doesn't matter. We've called, there's no reason for it. It just won't work like 2 days out of every week. I wish I was exaggerating. I had to use mobile data to write this review because surprise! No internet today.
