This review might be a little confusing because it is NOT about the physical stores this is JUST ABOUT how Verizon is set up strictly for there internet service. I actually really do like the simplicity of the internet service they offer because it is one little square cube that you plug into the wall and plug into your TV and you are good to go. I really like that because I am not computer savvy whatsoever so I didn't have to put one wire here one wire there give my blood in the first born child like all the other services. Now the problem that I had which took me almost 10 hours to figure out (yes don't laugh because I already said I am not by any means computer savvy) when trying to pay your bill online for strictly internet when it asks for your mobile phone number IT IS NOT your actual personal mobile number it is a phone number with a local area code that is attached to the box! It is not your phone number that you used to set up the account but a phone number that is assigned to your internet service. It was driving me insane because it kept telling me my information was wrong so I started pressing the little? Icon trying to figure out what on Earth they meant by my information not being correct because I do know my information lol. That is when I discovered that what they consider your " MOBILE" VERIZON NUMBER is actually the phone number that is on the back of the box. Just wanted to give people a heads up about this to save possible headaches and frustration when paying your bill. read more

I stopped in on Wednesday after work to inquire about holiday deals. I'm currently with ATT but had been a Verizon customer prior. I wanted to see if switching over to Verizon would be worth it to save monies with a combined phone and internet plan (my current address does not allow for ATT Internet). There were only 3 employees working, and later the manager stated that they were short staffed that day. The manager was the one who ended up helping me. He was very nice and was willing to answer my question about a quote for a combined phone+internet plan. The store was clean and welcoming. Would recommend this location. read more

This Verizon location is great. My husband's iPhone 6S died, and he came into the store with the intention of buying an iPhone XR. At the other Verizon locations we have been to, most notably the Smithridge location, it has been packed on weekends. Not this location! We received great customer service, and having the store all to ourselves was such a delight. Red is my husband's favorite color, and they had the charity-associated (PRODUCT)RED iPhone XR in stock to sell him. Verizon administers our household cell phone plan, and we have been happy with what we are receiving. The only reason we need to go to a physical location is if we want to buy a new phone. My fingers are crossed that my iPhone SE will last my frugal self many multiple years to come, but when it eventually gives up on me, I'll come here to buy its replacement. read more

Not only did they mess up the first order that was lost through FedEx, but also the second order the way the phone was improperly upgraded with a sim card to activate another line that phone was not meant for. I called back customer service, only to have two different confused , rude reps hang up on me! I went to this location and the store manager Jose M. Came to the rescue to help fix this avoidable debacle. The only reason I gave it "ONE" star was because they wouldn't post my review without "ONE" star. NEVER, EVER will I go into the Los Altos Verizon again. Not only did I not feel welcome, but I was made to feel like I was a nuisance. I have been with your company since beFORE you were Verizon. "Geremy" either needs Customer Service training or he needs to find another job. If he tells you that he did all that he could do, well, he's lying. I stood outside, while there were three employees standing inside, doing nothing. Then, they told me that my daughter couldn't come in with me. My dilemma had to do with her phone, as well as my husband's death. (I had come the day before and specifically made an appointment for Monday so that she could be there) I tried to explain what I wanted to do. He got on the phone, talked to someone and gave me a little piece of paper with a phone number of "Financial" and told me to go home and call them. That was it. Useless and infuriating...and I let them know it. Thank God my daughter stopped at the VICTRA Verizon on Sparks Blvd. on her way home. Although it's further from my house, I went into their peaceful, helpful atmosphere. "Shawn" was a kind, empathetic helpful young man. We walked right in (THE TWO OF US!) and sat right down at his desk. He took the time to figure out what he could do to figure this out. He gave me more than one option to choose from and he would not quit until we had this taken care of. Well, I hope that they work on commission. I didn't plan on buying anything that day, but I bought two phones. So, EAT that, Geremy! I don't know what the difference is between the two places, they say that the store on Los Altos is "corporate." You would think that Corporate would have a tendency to have employees who could deal with people. No one tried. No one cared if I left unhappy. The three young men stood at the door, with their arms folded, as one of them said very condescendingly, "Have a nice day, Ma'am." When walking into this location, I have had issues with other verizon stores in the past so since I'd never been to this location I decided to see what they had to offer. So I was approached by a man with a tablet, asking "Hi what brings you in today" I simply replied "Just looking to see if you had some UAG cases for a Samsung s8 plus" he then said "okay sure we got some, let me put you into our system so we can help you next" I replied "okay" then waited for about 5min-10min when another man approached asking "Hey man have you been helped?" I would never do business with Verizon again and plan to change to T-Mobile and I'll tell you why: We have been customers for over 20 years, and in that time have paid an average of $250 a month (more in most cases) meaning we have probably given Verizon close to $60k and that's not counting all the devices and accessories we have purchased. Recently, we went in to buy my wife the Apple Watch. I was beyond crystal clear I would not pay an activation fee because they are a rip off. Period. I don't buy a $500 dollar watch then get charged for the privelage for them to push a button on an iPad to make it work. I explained this to the rep and he waived his hand and said "don't worry, we'll take care of it for you". Needless to say, the charge stuck. I reached out to the chat rep through the app, who could not have cared less about our experience. Not only did he inform me the sales rep did not have the authority to waive the fee, but expected me to do the foot work of going back to the store and getting them to waive it. On top of that, I asked for the number for cancellations five times before it was provided, I asked for a supervisor three times before being told "go ahead they are just going to deny it anyways" then when I was given the cancellations department the guy reached out about 30 minutes later making sure I reached them, as if he was egging me on to cancel. Seriously? 20+ years, $60,000+ dollars and not only do you lie to me, treat me like trash and haggle with me over $35 but you're going to basically say don't let the door hit you on the butt on the way out? Lol BYE. I'll gladly pay activation charges with T-Mobile. At least they are transparent and respect me and want to earn my business. Verizon is trash folks. Back in the mid 90s they cared about their customers but that ship not only sailed, it left port and went to the other side of planet. They are the carrier of "no" now. read more

Visit 7/29/2018 Our daughter needed a new phone before going off to college. We brought in her Google Pixel to trade in for the Samsung S9. We knew that we had to pay off her existing phone before buying the new one. I believe the person helping us was Bruce, but it could have been another "B" name. He explained that we would need to pay off the phone, as expected. He then asked us which phone we would like, and we informed him the S9, and he confirmed that the color she wanted was in stock, so far so good. He then tells us which plan we are on and asks if it is working out for us. Again, we expected this. However, this is when we felt he became a bit pushy! We asked about waiving the upgrade fee, and he stated that he could not, because this is how he is paid. Not something we need to know. He explained the cost of the insurance and how much it would cost and what it could save us in the future. We told him that we were not interested, but he continued to push. Our daughter finally "broke down" and said she would pay for the insurance. He then proceeded to tell us that we could get insurance for all of our devices for $40 a month. Keep in mind, we just want a new phone!. He told him no! He asked about a screen saver and case. We told him no thank you, we will get them on Amazon, to which his response was "Are you sure? we are very competitive in our pricing and sometimes have better deals." Again, we said no thank you. He then explained multiple times how difficult it is to put a screen protector on (at this point I was ready to leave, but we needed the phone). After he apparently got the point, he went to get the new phone, but on his way back he grabbed a package of screen protectors. When he brought the phone out, he placed the protectors on top of the phone box. We "reminded" him that we did not want the protector. He asked if we wanted a bag, we did. When he brought it out, he placed it on the table, unopened and didn't offer to place anything we just purchased inside. Poor customer service, and pushy sales people are not what we look for in a business... For the record, it took our daughter less than 5 minutes to put the screen protector on, without any bubbles in it! read more

One Star. Back in May 2021, Verizon gave me a military discount of $15, from a billing of $71/month for monthly total of $66 approx .Verizon said I had signed up for TWO phone numbers, which I did NOT, and a two-number line billing amount was billed to me each month. Sometime in December 2021, Verizon contacted me via email, and raised my billing to $114.71 for ONE LINE. Unfortunately (AND HERE's THE LESSON LEARNED) I had AutoPay, and that amount ($114.71) was paid. After being on HOLD with "Customer Service" over a period of days, hours totaling 3.5 ON HOLD, I was able to contact a CSR who said the request for a refund of the difference was DENIED, and it was literally a BACKBILLING for services rendered. So, I cancelled my account, went to AT&T, got a GREAT DEAL of $43/month for wireless with a military discount, and though I'd like to call CORPORATE VERIZON, sometimes you just gotta let things go, you know? Customer Service with Verizon is a BAD joke. For those of us First Responders and ex-military, take your business ELSEWHERE!!! read more

The WORST! Deserves no stars! Went a few days ago to buy a new iPhone and all the accessories, not a single customer in the store, no cars, just employees sitting around doing nothing, but was refused access to the store. Why is the store even there/open? No products, no access and terrible interaction with customers. With Covid I understand the restrictions and was wearing two masks, but my goodness, total resistance to even enter the store. Not the Verizon I used to know, have been a customer for 18 years, this store should just shut down. Guess I will need to go elsewhere to buy everything. Best Buy has all the products and lets you in the door as well as actually takes the time to talk to you!! Update, received an automated response below... got the same from another website!! Time to shut the store down, it has the Verizon name on it, but there are no services offered - NONE. Can't even call, no pick up. Yet all the employees are sitting around chatting without a single customer in the store. They are destroying the Verizon brand, would think you would investigate if you really cared what customers are experiencing! And NO, I really don't want to go back. The 2 and half star rating is very suiting. I have came into this corporate location twice, and I will never be back. Anything I need I will do via the app. First time I went in because Verizon 800 # referred me to go into that location to get assistance with my phone. The men working looked at me like I was some lower class citizen and I got the strong feeling it was because I am a female and my friend is a transgender/ LGBTQ+female. So whatever, we left. A few days I ago I walked in because again the 800 # suggested I go into the store and they will help me. I was like okay hesitant, but hoped for the best. Again me and the same friend last time went into the store. Same big white dude and some skinnier African American guy...and two others this time. Not sure if they worked there or were just hanging out in the sewing circle. The "gentlemen" helping me was very condescending, not really interested and overall rude. Not once did any of them stand up to greet us when we walked in...they all remained sitting hunched over on their phones. It's the worst business practice I've seen at any Verizon I've ever been to. Both times I have gone in this location and everyone is sitting at a table. There is ZERO privacy while you give your account information to the sales rep. It is really weird. The other reps? just stare at you and don't say anything which feels really shady. If I didn't already know this was a corporate location I would have never been able to tell. I have been with Verizon for years and NEVER have I gone into a location like this one. Its really weird, but it makes sense why no one is ever in there if this is how they treat people. I also know they get paid well, I worked for a corporate cell phone carrier before...this store can not possibly make decent commission for their personalities and honesty. Do yourself a favor and go to an Authorized Verizon retailer or the corporate store on Virginia St in Reno. There is always a long wait there, but there is definitely a reason for that. The price we pay for good service can be a wait, but I will take that over being treated poorly for being a women and being LGBTQ+. This store gives off big time homophobic and misogynistic vibes. There's plenty of places where WOMEN and LGBTQ+ people are welcome. The isn't the dark ages people. Grow the F up and provide the service that you're paid so well to do. read more

Verizon has been the worst. I did a trade in back in 2022. I noticed after a few billing cycles that they were charging me for the phone. I called about it and they said I needed to wait for them to review the quality of the phone I traded in. I finally got the email saying I was approved for the full value of my trade in but they have not been crediting my account. I have been dealing with this for over a year with no help. I have called the customer service line, gone into every office here in town. As soon as I get some help they tell me to call customer service for the 400$ they have taken from me, so far, and they always conveniently at that point can't find anything. Then say "why has this taken so long to notice"! How is this my fault? I've been dealing with it and they won't resolve the issue or credit me what they owe me. Now they have stolen from me because they can't take the time to figure it out. Not okay at all. Worst company ever. Don't waste your time with Verizon. read more

My visit was to get aid in switching over from an older model phone to a much newer version however it was given to me by a family member therefore there was no purchase transaction. I know people are commissioned by the volume of sales and the incentive is to sell sell sell! Understanding this, I of course expected to be pushed down the priority list of assistance by I was wrong. Not only did one of the associates help me in short order, but they were really friendly and not once did they make me feel I was waiting their time or commission prospects. This store gave away my son's Black Friday order. They said he was late picking it up even though we had a screenshot of the pick up date from Verizon, 11/30, and that was when he was there. They couldn't have cared less and offered no remedy for the mistake whether theirs or corporate but certainly not ours. Who gets to make mistakes at work and have no consequences? All the hard earned money I've paid Verizon and this is how you are treated. So we lost out on the $400 promo and they act like we are to blame. My biggest issue with this physical location is that EVERY TIME I have been there over the years the associate who is helping me is a condescending jerk. EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL the associate would manage to work into the conversation that they have a bachelor's degree and you need a bachelor's degree to work there and bla bla bla.... I'm not sure what they're compensating for or if they feel like they should have a better job, but I don't care and no one else cares. The worst time was when I had to buy all new chargers for the new ports and I asked if this was really necessary (politely because it was a lot of extra money) and the guy ROLLED HIS EYES SO HARD I THOUGHT THEY WOULD POP OUT OF HIS SKULL. I've been to this location twice. First time gf and I bought cases to protect our new iPhone 5. Busy store but we were talked thru the decision making process and the sales guy even matched my employer discount % which I thought was really great. Second visit was today. Throughout the month I have been at war with Verizon. LSS I was charged data overage and felt I got screwed. After calling 611 and making repeated plea's for respect I got none. I had filled out an online survey that I found in my inbox and gave Verizon a 0 out of 10 for my experience. Do my dismay the local Assist Manager called me. Rather than answer while driving I navigated to this store. Eric the AM was very understanding and was the first and only employee rep who met my expectations. I still don't give them five stars because their a giant telecom and therefore evil. But Eric as an employee and representative can have the fifth star basted on my experience. I am so grateful to the Assistant manager at the Sparks Legends location. I had my phone stolen and the assistant hand held me through the whole process of dealing with the insurance company. Insurance company denied my claim at first. She spent a better part of, I would say, 2 hours total from start to finish helping me explain the situation to the claims adjuster. Her patience with me and the insurance company rectified the problem and a new phone will be sent to me. The work ethic she displayed today gives me hope that people are still good. read more

He should have walked out and started with " guys, it's 30 min before close , can you come back Monday because I don't want to do anything else" - he had NO clue what he was talking about. Worst service ever and now my phone doesn't work. I went in a couple days ago with my boss and switched over from Sprint to Verizon. I wanted to use the same number, so the employee said we would have to port over my number. After the employee gave me my new phone my boss asked if the number had ported over correctly and the guy say yeah. LIE. The next day I noticed that I wasn't receiving certain texts and nobody was able to call me. So, I figured it was an apple problem since Verizon told us everything ported over. I spent 3 hours in Apple all for them to completely wipe my phone out and lock me out of my icloud account. So now, I have to wait 3 days before I can recover my account. My phone is absolutely necessary for me to do my job and now that is an issue because I cant use my phone properly right now. If Verizon would have done their job CORRECTLY, this never would have been an issue! read more

After mandatory system upgrade to my Droid Bionic yesterday, my corporate email account would not work. Did as much troubleshooting as possible before going to this store for help. Their response? Blamed it on Yahoo, said I needed to call them...oh, and also pay for a new Yahoo mail service. Too bad for me...not the least concerned. The previous review was right on...staff not concerned, problems is all yours (not theirs) Resolution: Called Verizon tech support and worked with a knowledgeable woman who fixed the problem. Been to this location a couple of times in the past, and aside from the long wait times, nothing too bad has occured. Then today, the 25th of February had to come along. Let me just say that in the decade I've worked in customer service, one employee can completely ruin the entire expierence and indefinitely leave a negative feeling towards the company. I won't go too far Into the nitty gritty of this one, but if you're (the nasty CSR) that's going to abruptly jump on the phone and immediately screech to me about how busy you are with others in the store and don't have time for a simple question.. then either look for a less demanding job or just don't answer the phone! Second, if the customer that you just jumped all over hasnt already hung up on you (like i did not) and after you take info down and then screech again that you'll "call me back when you're free", then by golly you rude little CSR, you better call quick fast n' in a jiffy..preferably with an apology.. than not call back at all, which you did. Not even a ring. Just one. Simple. Little question I had..and you know what? The location in Reno did an excellent job in assisting. Mister Zach there got a wonderful praise of his knowledge and expertise and I hope management there gives him a little perk for his above and beyond work. Unlike the dog and pony show in Low Altos. Made an appointment to get a phone for my wife, daughter & myself. We were met at the door by Margarito who asked us what we there for. He then asked if we all needed to be in the store due to a 14 person capacity. We have 4 in our family & 3 of us need phones so yes. We couldn't leave our 6 year old son in the car. When we explained all of this he just stared at us. I said "we can leave I guess" & Margarito said "ok" & shut the door. There were 4 people in the store at the time. I'm appalled at this behavior. The sales person was in a hurry. They were getting close to closing time. He told me they couldn't transfer my info from my old phone to my new one. I said you did it for me 2 yrs ago and he said we don't do that and never have( calling me a liar?) I had to order my phone and figured out myself how to transfer everything. He assumed I wanted the cord and I didn't need it so I returned it a few days later. He charged me an upgrade fee BUT I was eligible to upgrade. So I had to call customer support and they took the charge off. He really didn't explain much to me nor was he helpful. I guess he just wanted to get home. They had very little in stock-phone in the color I wanted (gold) so I had to order the phone and they didn't have a waterfall case I wanted so I ordered online through someone else to get the case I wanted. Let me start out by saying how amazing the staff is at this location! You are greeted with a friendly smile and a warm hello....but....that's where the warm and fuzzy ended for me. I came in today to buy an accessory for my phone real fast. I feel like this should be a in and out kinda thing.
