I will be doing everything possible, at my end, to ensure that everyone i know NEVER calls Spectrum internet for service (or, in my case, for a quote) because when i called their number for a QUOTE I was signed up for service and had an appt. for a technician to come to my house in 2 days for the install when I had gone over the fact that i was NOT looking for service but ONLY for a quote (4 times) so that i could decide on my future provider... and to please give me a phone number where I cold call him back if i want to go with Spectrum. After FOUR TIMES going over this fact with him (due to a language barrier... but we had it decided that i was STILL DECIDING) I received 4 emails thanking me for my order and telling me when my appt. was for the tech to come out for my install. (!!!) The deal he quoted me was $5.00 cheaper, per month, than Frontier. BUT!!! even if i had received a quote of 20 per month cheaper I would NEVER call spectrum again. AND to top it all off, the retention guy that I was turned over to when i called to cancel this service that i had NOT ordered (name of Juaquin) told me, that he personally felt the guy who had ordered the service for me "did not do anything wrong" OMG.... there are no words. read more

Pricing is crazy and after 2 years as a customer my rate is going up $100 from what it was when I signed up an there's nothing they are willing to do! Terrible terrible customer service! They had the option to take care of the customer and keep the business but now I'll be cancelling and signing up with anyone else! This store refused to accept an equipment return on several occasions. The manager at the time was having some sort of mental breakdown and would not accept the working equipment. Spectrum expected me to store their equipment for years until they were ready... which is apparently now as they've sent me to collection. These people are scam artists and hire unstable managers. I'm not paying this BS on principle. I encourage you to find other providers and stay far away from these fraudsters. I can only imagine the other scams they are pulling on little old ladies or people of low socioeconomic means. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO GET SERVICE! i was paying $87 for 300mgb internet service and customer over the phone offered $5 more get 1GB internet! i went to ontario mills location to get new modem, and their salesman ANTHONY assist and he said by the way we have a bundle that you could get $45 for 1GB! i asked how!? he said if you buy samsung tablet your payment will be less and you get 1G internet! and i told him i dont need tablet but do i have to get something so i get the the $45 for 1GB internet? he said you can get ipad or samsung tablet or tv chanels! and without it i cant get the deal for 1gb int! so i did buy ipad so i can get my 1gb int and i went to work and i told everyone its great deal i lowered my payment and i got faster speed and ipad also! i start asking about their bills and Referred them to ontario location and i told them they dont have the ipad 10th gen! my friend decide to go to other location and other spectrum location told my friend that you dont need an ipad to get the $45 deal for 1gb internet! so i findout the salesman Anthony he lied me and Put me together to get ipad because i want to get better deal on 1gb int! and telling me that if you want to lower your payment get ipad so get lower payment on the service! and without it, i cant get that deal! and when i went to their store today my lunch break! his manager was acting like its bundle! and i told him look i didnt come to your store for ipad! i was spouse to get the offer regardless me getting ipad or anything else and he told me i have to buy ipad or tablet, chanel service! that way i get the deal! and his manager give up and he said yes he did put you together and thats how he dose his sales pitche! and i told him its wrong! i didnt need ipad! all i wanted lower payment that was available for my account and he tried to take a advantage and add ipad and telling me without buying i pad i cant give you the $45 deal! that's messed up! and manager wanted to charge restocking fee! even tho i didnt even open the ipad bocks it was silled and didnt activate the service! and he said go in the line and its 1hr waiting! at the end while i was talking to spectrum corporate store manage came grabed and he refund the amount to my account! that was my experience! please make sure the dont try to sell you something to make you gey bundle because they make their own bundle deal so you but something else! read more

I thought I handled this situation last month, but found myself waking this morning to the same nonsense. Apparently neither Spectrum customer service, nor the staff and manager of the Ontario Mills store don't know how to do their job and the collections department just does whatever the hell they want. On 8/16/18 I received our bill via email advising that the bill of $119.98 was due on 9/1/18. No problems yet. On 8/26/18 our bill was paid in full. On 8/27/18 I received another email stating that we've been reported to collections for non-payment. So the bill is due on 9/1/18, got paid a week earlier than the due date, but we were sent to collections! Per phone conversations with customer service representatives, Cedric (@ 7:50am) & Alondra (@ 8:07am) on 8/27/18 over the phone, they claimed the payment wasn't made (even though it was cashed through our credit union & I offered to send proof of payment) and added on a late fee of $4.75 raising an already paid bill to $124.73! At approximately 8:40pm on 8/27/18 I went into this Spectrum store, explained the situation to a staff member, showed the bill, showed the processed payment, showed the collections notice and they verified that a $4.75 late fee had been added. The rep explained everything to the manager right in front of me and the manager authorized the waiver of the late fee. I received an email that states our bill is $64.74, still $4.75 over the bill of $59.99. So I wasted my time and gas to be in the same predicament I was already put in. All this proof and I'm still dealing with nonsense! Unfortunately because these large corporate companies buy the rights to servicing particular areas, Spectrum is our only option for internet. UPDATE: Called customer service this morning and did a call back request since hold time was long. At 12:17pm I received a callback from 800-892-2253, spoke with Manisha and she stated that she credited my account $5.99 & my bill is $58.75. Hopefully this is the final incident. read more

Spectrum Internet is horrible. I have had so many issues with no Internet and calling repeatedly. They do a reboot and that's it. Few days later same issue happen. i Returned all my equipment as soon as i returned from vacation and am still getting a bill. Due to returning after billing cycle started. I'm so upset. WORST INTERNET SERVICE ON THE PLANET - Why are people paying for a 400 MB speed when they are getting less that 100 MB like we have been getting for the last (6) months? Spectrum hates it when you go to speedtest.net to check out the "real" speeds, they want you to go to their own testing site at spectrun.com/speedtest - Sadly they don't realize its the same speed results ... lol STEP #1 - un-plug the router / modem for (30) seconds and let's test your service - STRIKE ONE, no changes. STEP #2 - Blame everything else on YOUR equipment. STEP #3 - Get an ethernet cable (Who has one of those handy), then dissemble your office computer, bring it over to their router (25) feet away, connect to their router to only find out the speed is the same, ... massive FAIL. Then you have to move your equipment back to your office and hook it all up again. All they did was state that my new Google wireless router was either faulty or bad ... lol LASTLY - While on the phone, if you tell Spectrum that you are using a Google wireless router in your home, they transfer you to a number / (800) 892-2253 - That only tells you to go to google.com/support, again, totally "beating around the bush" ... Wrong number Spectrum. Here's the kicker, as all these tests were going on, my Spectrum rep kept saying how "slow" their service was and that she get's that all of the time? Sadly ... Spectrum blames everything on anything in your house without taking ownership of what's really going on? ... Crappy Service. They are notorious for "beating around the bush" to get things taken care and if you don't have an ethernet cable handy, you're not going to get anywhere. If I was to rate Spectrum from 1 to 10 - it's definitely a .5 So if you are paying $$$ for a 400 MB service, downgrade to a 100 BM service, at least you might be getting that speed. Worst company ever! Called and ordered their internet at $49.99 a month for two hundred speed plus $5 equipment fee at the beginning of Feb. service turned on Feb. 8th. About 12 days later I received a bill saying I owe $98.84 for internet, equipment, and tv service. I never ordered the tv service and why do I have a bill after 12 days of service? I called them told them there was an error and that I didn't order tv service. They said they'd remove it and send me a corrected bill. I waited and waited and nothing ever came. Yesterday March 11th (1 month and 3 days of service) I decided to create an online account to see what's going on and saw that it said I owe $154 and change with $98.84 being past due! Seriously?!?! How can I be past due when I never received my bill with the corrected charges? Now they say I have to pay the $98.84 or my service will be interrupted. I refused to pay because none of this is my fault. They made the error but say I have no choice but to pay it but that I'll get a credit for next month. Again...why are they forcing me to pay for something I never signed up for? And if I don't, I go to collections. Unbelievable!!! Worst customer service in the history of customer service. Got the opportunity to talk to Tony and asks what I needed, I told him I am here to pick up the self install kit, he went to the back and got me the dvr, ask him is the manual and everything here. I noticed that the reviews for this company vary greatly. Not surprising for this type of business. That being said, we had a very pleasant experience with them. They have been helpful on the phone. When we needed on site help they sent someone in one day. The technician who helped us is named Justin. He was professional, informative, and communicated some complex (for us at least) technical issues in a way even we could understand. I had to come into the Spectrum store with my apartment lease to set up new service because the previous tenant did not set a disconnect date, so I was unable to set this up over the phone. I was advised to use their equipment to ensure compatibility. My visit was fine up until the service representative was unable to add THEIR cable modem to my account. I left the store and within minutes I was called to come back in. She tried 3 different modems and finally a manager came and helped her. I was told to just take the modem and they would figure it out... Whatever that means. When I left and got in my car, I called the customer service line to see if my own cable modem would work on their network since I had my own cable modem information handy. I found out that my cable modem was compatible with their internet speed and network and within 20 minutes my own cable modem was added to my account. I was advised to return their cable modem so that I would not get charged for their equipment. Well, when I walked back into the store there were 10 people in front of me. That just made my day... 45 minutes later I was able to return their equipment that I had just received an hour prior... Honestly, this store doesn't have enough customer service representatives, and the 3 people working there that day in my opinion work very slow and too carefree. This whole experience to set up new service was a nightmare and very stressful. I hate that Spectrum is the only cable service provider in my area. read more

Came in here to buy a new phone. Tony told me I would be receiving the iPhone 12 128 gb and that it would be mailed to me since the only one present in stores was the 64 gb. He charged me for a 128 gb phone and ended up processing the 64 gb one. Called the company multiple times and no one could solve this. Everyone transferred me to multiple departments. You can't even contact a single supervisor. This company is not worth it. Trust me. I never leave Yelp reviews but if I could help out one person from going through the misery I did, I urge you to strongly reconsider this place. The ladies there had no idea how to help me resolve this issue telling me it's Charter and not related to Spectrum, even when the letter was labeled Under Spectrum! Have been without cable TV for 6 days now. Contacted Spectrum customer service and they didn't schedule a technician until 2 days later (utterly ridiculous for the price they charge). Technician came out for 45 minutes and stated it was a maintenance issue. 6 days later, still waiting for maintenance. I contacted Customer Service numerous occasions, kept stating "should" be fixed within 24 hours. Finally asked to talk to "Supervisor", they call it "Team Leadership". Morning of March 27, talked to, so called, Team Leader Mike and he stated he would expedite and call me. Received no phone call from Mike so called Spectrum night of March 27 to follow up. Found out Mike's version of expediting was scheduling maintenance for April 23. Wow, really? Almost a month later? Just to get my cable TV fixed! Spectrum is worse than ZERO star. Here is why: After over five years paying full fares ($200+), we decided it's time to stop the monthly colonoscopy without anesthesia. I brought the equipment to the payment/counter center with pretty layouts of phones and stuff they want to sell. I was informed the "NO PRORATE" policy for their services by the perky sales associate, and I still need to pay up to the next billing cycle. It sucks but fine, giving me more time to shop for new ISP. When I got home maybe one hour later. Lo and behold, both my programming and WiFi were killed. Since when Spectrum moves in lighting speed on customer's work order? I am on the other hand still on the hook for the services that were killed prematurely. I heard you suck, Spectrum, from other people, I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and look where that got me and how unbecoming I was yelling at your poorly trained staff after waiting on the phone for 45 minutes? This was a good deal when I first got it but they slowly they added 15% tomy bill every year like clockwork, until my bill was doubled in price. What started out as a $90 monthly bill ended up as a $189 bill monthly without any extra channels obtained. Their TV service continuously blinks out and goes off and on. They then started to remove channels from my view like the Science Channel unless I bought a service pack bundle from them monthly for another $45. read more

It is extremely unfortunate that this is the closest store to us. I've never been so annoyed as I was today. I had to come this store THREE TIMES today. Their customer service is the worst. And clearly I'm not the only one who feels that way about this place. The first trip I made was to return modems that we didn't need since we had just canceled tv and phone services from them, but only kept their internet. We had been told from a representative that when return all the modems in store, that we will get a new internet router. When we told them that, they said that we already have the newest one and we won't be getting anything. We were confused since we obviously don't know what's new and what's not. The manager Johnathan gets called over and it goes way downhill from there. We told him what happened and he said "that's the newest one that just came out three weeks ago and we don't have anything newer,so what do you want?" We were in awe of how rude his response was but we just let it go. So we just kept the one we had. The girl who was helping us (which I forgot her name, who also had a horrible attitude) told us to just take it back home and kept all the other ones we returned. We go home to plug in our router for the internet, turns out she didn't give us back the cable for the power for it. Now here we go back for the second trip to get the cable. Jonathan is there, and as I walk up to him to tell him he walks up and gets uncomfortably close to me, I step back and tell him about the cable we are missing, then he goes gets me the cable we "need". We leave, get home and then we come to find out ITS THE WRONG CABLE!! I go back, now the THIRD TIME and tell Johnathan he gave me the wrong cable. He said no that he got it from another box of the same router. This time I brought the router with me to show him cause I feel he gave me wrong cable on purpose. He comes out with a cable from the "same new router box" and it's NOT THE SAME ONE AT ALL!!!! Two different sizes and even different colors! I held both cables up and said "do these honestly look the same to you?!?" He straight up said yes. As I'm grabbing the real cable I needed, I told him I find it really annoying that this is the third time I'm here today and all he did was shrug his shoulders in an "I don't care" manner and said "sorry". I got my stuff and and told him I don't believe he's sincerely sorry and left. Management really needs to look into this store. Read the reviews and fix this.
