I hate the fact that spectrum has rights to Dodger games and is available in my area but is unable to provide service for my home.

Terrible customer service. After trying to cancel service over the phone the first lady just hung up on me, they must get paid on how many accounts they save. I called back and after a long wait I got girl who was rude on the phone would not take no for answer. It took over an hour to cancel my service. When she finally gave up trying to keep me for a customer after probably 20 lower price offers she became rude. Then said there will be a disconnect fee. I said is this fee in my contract, she said no. When I said then you can not just charge me a fee. She said they have to send someone out to disconnect the cables from my house which I then found out from the office was a lie. What a rude, unprofessional group of morons on the phone. I then went a few days later to the store on Grand Ave to return my cable boxes. The man who helped me would not even acknowledge I existed. When I spoke to him he would not even answer me. When he was done verifying I returned everything he just gave me a receipt and said "you are all set". What a dick. Time Warner Cable service was bad and that is why I cancelled service. Our internet service never worked right, our devices would drop service and the TV would go blank sometimes for reason and then our shows would re-appear. I called the service who sent someone out to try and fix it. They replaced our modem but it did not fix the problem. We cancelled and got Verizon Fios and all our problems were solved. Super unstaffed. Staff also seems miserable and I feel bad for them. I'd be miserable too if I was this under staffed! There was a ton of people waiting and only two employees. One employee had a customer for the entire hour I was there so there was only one employee working on the line. It's so ridiculous. I was also rushed during my visit. I returned my equipment in over a month ago, and they are still charging me. I give time warner one star bc I like the speed. They sent a guy over to instal our internet first off the man never introduced himself or even told me why he was there. Our appointment was at 10am and was 30 min late bc he forgot a tool, then took 30 min to get back. He asked to use the bathroom and didn't even put the toilet set back down. Well, it took two months but my Spectrum installation was finally completed today, though I have had Spectrum provided internet, phone and television service, on a 25-year old RG 59 cable, for the last week. It took five tries to replace the old cable but today's VVD (a Spectrum subcontractor) Underground-7 team (UG-7) knew all the tricks and got the job done in a little over an hour. Performance on all home components is satisfactory, though my now-replaced Verizon/Frontier internet service might have been a touch faster. More importantly, after three plus years, I can now finally watch the Dodgers again! I had been with DirecTV for 14-years but this month they upped my bill from $85 to $145 while at the same time Frontier was upping my internet/phone from $55 to $75, all with no notice and absolutely no enhancement in services. Bottom-line: I'm getting superior service from Spectrum for $130/mo. ...at least for the first year. By the way, I too previously visited the office on South Grand two-years ago and it was a less than a positive experience. Accordingly, this job was arranged and managed exclusively via phone and email. Charter Cable does seem to have improved upon what was formerly TWC. read more

Dad had Spectrum cable and then passed away 5 years ago. I had them move it to my mom's new apartment, and then move it again when she moved into an Alzheimer's unit. She is blind and on hospice now, so I finally took in the cable box to cancel service. They (Osirus) wouldn't cancel and made me get a death certificate because my dad's name is on the bill! I asked how they let me move twice and pay the $100 bill every month for 5 years if I'm not on the statement... no answer. Maria (manager) apparently doesn't work weekends. I complied and brought the death certificate, but told him I should have just thrown the cable box in the dumpster and ignored the bills. He said, "They would have charged you!" If I could give less than 1 Star I would. Recently switched over to Spectrum after having Verizon Fios for years because of the cheaper price and promise of fast internet. Spectrum is by far the WORSE internet service provider I have ever had. My internet is constantly going out randomly throughout the day and they are constantly slowing down my speeds randomly (I use a speed test website to see what I'm getting). Every time I message their support all I get is a "we currently have a technician working on it"). This has been going on for months and nothing has been done about it. I ABSOLUTELY HATE spectrum wifi!!! In my conominium complex spectrum is the only wireless provider no other companies service this area. I pay $65 a month for a crappy ass service. This 2 star rating is only because the installer at the.house was extremely good. Knowledge, professionalism, and suggestions were the best. The problem came in when the Starter TV package didn't carry all of the local broadcast channels. I wanted 1 channel only in addition. I called Customer Service and they said to get that one channel, I had to subscribe to their top TV package, but they would upgrade my Internet speed for free. That made the price go way higher. At every turn, they told me that they would be able to solve my problem. They never would budge. Just upselling more features continuously. I unhooked all of the equipment, took it to the Glendora store, got a receipt and left. So far, I've received 7 calls in 5 days telling me that they have a solution for me. Switched from Frontier to Spectrum because it was only choice I had, not because of service. I rented their router for a few months before purchasing my own ( don't waste your money in their cheap router-worthless). When I tried to drop off the router at the store as instructed by Spectrum, I was told there was a wait. Really? Two employees (Andrew and unnamed blue new) were laughing it up in the corner on the computer. After the sixth person came in and still no one is being served, I went to the counter and told them I just want to drop this off. Andrew said you have to wait, we are busy. Are they that uneducated where they just stick to the script and blatantly lie and tell me if I want to cancel my service I need to bring my equipment to the store thats the only way period! Yup, all Spectrum cares about is money and not the customers. My wife and I signed up for one of their promotions, which was a good deal. And if we decided to cancel either our Cable or Internet, the promotion would still apply. We were promised the promotion would still apply.... so we waited for less than a week and decided we only needed internet and not Cable. So when we asked them again, when we cancelled Cable, the promotion would no longer apply when we where promised it would. That was mid informative and we were obviously upset. If we knew in advance the promotion would not apply if we cancelled the Cable, we would obviously went with a different alternative or options with the promotions they have. Spectrum they said they couldn't do anything even though they promised something they said they could do. Don't believe the commercials about caring about the customers, all they care about is the $$$. They will screw you over, if you don't believe me, look at these yelp reviews. 1.5 stars out of 5. Customer Service 101: If you're sending a client to another location 30 mins away to pick up equipment, you should do a courtesy call to that location to see if they even have it in stock. They claim they have no access to availability for other stores. They offer no solutions to make anything easier on the customer. This entire company as a whole sucks. Pricing is outrageous, product isn't reliable and customer service is horrible. Took 2 install trips for my cable to work properly. Turns out the original installer used tape for all connections because he ran out of proper connectors. read more

I have to say the customer service experience at this location is the worst I have ever had to endure. First off the wait to see an agent is almost an hour, then once you see an actual person they have the rudest personality. Everyone greets you with a smile until you bring up an issue usually a billing issue or technical problems. They overcharged me 200 dollars I provide proof that there was an error and they act like the system never mashes a mistake. They indicated to me in order to assist me they need a payment, I indicated I have no balance this is an error. Once the manager came into play then they tried to charge me for equipment I never requested or had. As I stopped for a minute and looked around everyone had a complaint or was complaining to there service dept. Every service agent was giving the same excuse to different issues like they're trained to give excuses instead of resolving the issue at hand. I gave one star because 'zero' is not an option. I recently made what I thought was going to be a change to TWC. (My internet carrier is going out of business so they gave TWC as an option to take over service). TWC set up my account, gave me a job number, set up installation, etc... However, because I live in an area where TWC has not been in the past, I told them I was concerned. I wanted to confirm my appointment. They reassured me 100% that that was in the past...they can do it! I told them I am disconnecting service so I don't want any problems. Again, they reassured me 100% everything is fine. On the day of install, my son called me and said the guy was there 2 minutes and left, they couldn't do it! They 'never called me, my son called me! And when I called them, I was told that for sure they could do it, they just have to do construction first! They estimated 3-5 working days, and I would have service! In 3 days I didn't see any construction taking place so I called them again. I was told that the construction was done! And I would have an installation soon! They just had to have the supervisor call me back! You guessed it... that never happened! I called them again and was told I would have an installation date that day! Well, I still don't have service and it took them 1.5 weeks to finally tell me 'there isn't going to be any service!' They can't do it! All of my services are disconnected, and they never apologized! I don't have any idea how this company is still in business! If you are considering this company, I hope you reconsider. I hope this review will help someone before it's too late. I am very pleased that this ended before it started! All of these companies are similar, but I've never seen anything this bad! It's a blessing in disguise for me! read more
