Called Spectrum Support and was told to go to my local store to swap out modem (no surprise, we have to do this annually). Got my name on the waitlist... and they skipped it. My name disappeared and they called the next customer. Fine, notified the employees and they called me up. When I explained my problem he asked if I had it plugged in correctly. I said yes, it had been plugged in and working well for a year. He proceeds to explain the different color wires and if I understood "ethernet". We finally get home and plug in the new modem but it wouldn't go online. Called Spectrum Support again and they thought my outside cable was cut (strange?) and they'd send a tech tomorrow. Tech shows up (amazing guy) and says the store never turned off the old modem. He called Support and fixed the problem in 5 mins. I can deal with long wait times or even rude customer service, but at least do your job correctly. read more

So I've been with Spectrum Cable over a year and a half. Earlier this tear I called Spectrum to disconnect our and line since it hasn't been used all year. Their "no contract" is a bunch of lies. They told me that if I drop the landline it would cost me an additional $30.00 to drop the phone. I requested the promotion they had for $89.00 for both cable and internet. They told me It's only for new accounts. I reported it to the FCC and did nothing. They increased me about $35.00 a month and I still have the landline. Spectrum Cable is a rip-off and they don't care what the customer has to say. And their "no contracts" is a bunch of Bull and they were very rude. If you want bad costumer service and want your internet keep being disconnected by an associate then i recommend spectrum in fullerton, Ca . I have had terrible experience with this specific location. They claimed I was doing fraud but when I called spectrum customer service and explained everything that has been going on they never mentioned that . They HELPED me like they're supposed to and mentioned that the workers aren't doing their jobs and giving us false information. The associates are bad. I asked to speak to the manager , "Gonzalo" came and talked to me . He didn't answer my questions, he didn't help me. All he said was it was fraud and that it wasn't based on the customer service when it is. I should've got the helped i needed it, when I first had questions. Not when my account was suddenly marked as " fraud". Customer service had told me that " Gonzalo " had been the last person to touch my account right before it has been " requested by the customer to have services disconnected". Been here over an hour. Employees here seem to not care for their customers. From experience, when a store is busy even the manager jumps on a computer to at least get the people out. But not here. At first I seen one guy " Matt" ( I don't know if he was supervisor or manager) just standing there doing nothing. When he could have jumped on a computer. In January, I signed up for a one-year promotion, $39.99 / month for 100mbps Internet service. I received one billing at that rate. The very next month, my bill was $44.99. I called Spectrum's customer service. I was told, repeatedly, that the $39.99 rate was no longer available. Long story shorter, the representative (Mary) was not understanding the situation, so I asked to speak with her supervisor. After lots more holding and talking to Mary, she told me her supervisor (Matt) would call me back (she he insisted he was too busy at that moment, even though it was clear he was standing next to her, telling her what you say). About ten minutes later, I got a call from a number (800-892-4357) which identified as Spectrum, and the man calling pretended to not be able to hear me (he repeatedly said "Hello"), and he hung up. I am pleased with my experience at the store. They let you sign in and see exactly where you are in the line. Not that there was any line anyway. Although Spectrum fixed the internet and television, they were unable to fix the telephone. Therefore, my 90 year old parents are left without means of communication! Don't ever use Spectrum. The customer service is a nightmare. We decided to switch to Spectrum from our current internet provider and it was a huge mistake. We disconnected our old internet thinking that Spectrum would come the next day and install our new service. Instead, they sent a technician who installed something but we still did not have internet. The Spectrum technician said that another technician would come out in the next few hours to fix something underground and then we would have internet. That technician never came despite what we were told. We called Spectrum repeatedly asking when a technician would come but they could not give us a firm time. The best they could do was send someone by the end of the FOLLOWING day. We rely on the internet for our home-based businesses and could go a few hours without service, but not a few days. Apparently Spectrum thinks it's fine to screw over its new customers. I wish we had stayed with Frontier. read more

Spectrum is a classic example of a virtual monopoly in which costs go up and performance goes down. Their internet service is the worst, slow speeds and frequent downtime. I've complained for years and no one in tech support OR field techs have had success in correcting. Their customer service is pushy, more interested in adding services (fees) than solving your problem. It took me 2 hours on the phone and an hour to go to physical store to just drop the internet. It took 2 calls and 2 on line chats to get the service correctly. I am looking into options to drop all service from Spectrum but, since I'm moving in a year contracts for other services are constraints. I recommend dropping Spectrum if possible or never going with them in the first place. Quick note: the staff at Fullerton store are very friendly and helpful. read more

Therefore I had to pay over $100 for no service at all I caution anyone that goes with spectrum you will pay the maximum and they really don't care if you leave or not . I would give zero stars if I could. Spectrum took over TWC. We have had nothing but huge problems with MULTIPLE outages since they took over. I pay $200/month for HORRIBLE cable service and even WORSE customer service. They came out to my house, used MY ladder, left the ladder in my house leaning against all my good work clothes, left the cover off my crawl space in the other closet. I have squirrels that traverse the crawl space....what is their responsibility if they get in my house (none!!!)? Was told someone would be at my house Saturday, November 12 between 1pm and 5 pm (what about the one hour window advertised?). At 5:10 PM I called as no one had shown up, we were home the whole day....we were told someone came to the house at 5:04. The supervisor called us liars!!! When you walk in, you have to sign in on a tablet which puts your name on the board. The lines are pretty long on the weekends. The employees just say your name when it's your turn. I unfortunately did not hear my name and got deleted off the list. So I waited twice in line. Also, if you get a service rep close to the entrance, they help people who don't want to wait in Line while helping you, so it takes longer. Lots of interruptions. But I guess that also means if you have a quick question or want to be rude, just walk up to the closest service rep and ask them haha. The wait right now to have a specialist install internet in your home is a little over a week. Do it your self and you can take the cable modem home that day. Our service rep was very friendly and professional. Didn't like that I didn't hear my name at first and don't like the long wait for installation, but we have to have it so I wait. read more

If you want great customer service, ask for camillo. I signed up for a mobile account and there was a lot of issues after i returned the phone and preordered a new one. My account got really messy but camillo was very helpful and determined to get it back on track. Yes they are new to the mobile service and a lot of the issues werent the reps fault. Extremely Slow service. Walked in, had to register my name for service (Basically take a number, sit down and wait) I was 17th in line. Watched people get up and leave the store because they preferred not waiting any longer. I had no choice, my WiFi router was bad and I needed to exchange it. Waited for approx 20 min before anyone else's name was called. Then, I struck gold, many had left and I waited another 10 min to be called. Based on my wait, if many hadn't left, I would have probably been at least 1.5 hours waiting. UNACCEPTABLE!! Thank God the reps were great. Horrendous customer service. I went to pick up a box and had to wait an hour and a half, just to pick up a box! It was the first Saturday of the month, only 3 people working, and both managers were off. I even asked to make sure that I had to wait in the line to pick up a box and they didn't care. Camilo was of absolute no help - was not accommodating of the situation, seemed inconvenienced with every suggestion I gave for a resolution, and didn't care to spend even 10 minutes after waiting an hour and a half. I've been a long time customer of TWC and Spectrum and normally pick up at the Costa Mesa location, but since I was in the area, I chose to pick up in Fullerton. I will NEVER go here again and have complained of the situation to the corporate office.
