If there were an option to rate this location lower than ZERO, I would have selected it. I spent over one hour in line, on a Thursday (early afternoon) to drop off outdated equipment. The staff is very very slow and apparently doesn't care about how long customers have to wait in the lines. They were servicing walk-ins that avoided the lines and went straight up to the counter, for immediate assistance. Unless your time has no value or you don't mind waiting over an hour to receive poor customer service, I would avoid this location! read more

The Easton Spectrum store I had dealt with apparently closed. Gees, could it be because they have had the same unreliable internet as me? Started March 18. The first month, it was down 82% of the time. I got an 82% credit. In the next 6 weeks, it was down 1 to 3 times a week. No credit, just endless techs each appointment at least 2 hours. The last tech came out May 24. This time, he exchanged the modem. Everything needed to be reprogrammed. I told hubby that if it goes out again, I am done. I am done with techs online, techs at the house, and hapless but courteous customer service. Does not matter what store you go to. We went to Easton and Taylor Square. You can have a nice business card with email, but no matter how nice you are, they do not respond. Well, it is 1 week since the last time it was out for 3 days. Guess what. It has been out 5 hours and likely to be out at least 3 more, if I believe them, which I don't. So Spectrum is getting canceled. I am so glad I opted out of their free cell service. My phone, which uses xfinity, works. WHAT GOOD IS INTERNET IF IT IS ALWAYS OUT? Plus, it isn't like their service is inexpensive. And it goes up after a year. On the positive side, there is no contract. read more

The customer service is awful, very impersonal and it felt unorganized and chaotic. It is the most inefficient and the line did not move fast at all! In 20 minutes time nobody left and actually more people came in! You have to sign into a kiosk. I felt like I was at the BMV. The line was massive and there wasn't enough seats so I had to sit on the floor with a massive box. There weren't enough associates working, 3 for 16 customers. I'm an existing customer I feel that they should create a line dealing specifically with returning products or existing customers and another line for new customers. The noise level was horrible as they share a very flimsy wall with Maple Street Biscuit Company. read more

I've been with Spectrum for seven years after leaving WOW whom I had been with for 6 years and had nothing but outages. Since being with Soectrum dealt with tech support several times and everytime except once issue was resolved the one time it wasn't a tech was scheduled for next day then got a call that they could be out same day. The drop from pole to house had went bad tech replaced it and been running problem free since. I also have mobile service with them and have had no issues other than in Grove City Ohio where signals drops and data takes forever to load if it ever does. Internet speeds are not 1gb I average almost 750 though which is better than Breezeline could deliver which we tried for a month. I also have the streaming TV service and absolutely love it better than anyone else on the market when it comes to channels and affordability. The storefront emoyees have always been nice and courteous when I've went in to exchange equipment or had a cell problem. read more

service is very reliable but they make promises they don't keep if you change your service it's nothing but lies because when you get the bill it's not what you were told. My internet service cut off a little after 11 AM. Spectrum customer service quickly determined that the problem was not an area outage or an equipment issue and set up a service appointment. Less than 4 hours later the technician arrived, determined my cable had been accidentally cut during lawn maintenance in a neighbor's yard, and ran new cable to get me back online. I have to admit I was surprised and delighted with this service experience! read more

I've been a Sprint Cellular customer for 20 years and a Insight/time warner/spectrum cable customer even longer. Both were charging me far more than they would a new customer so I decided to put them into battle against each other. I made an online appointment and I'm glad I did. We showed up and were helped right away and it go busy right after. I did drop my cable bill $20/month, but reduced my cell phones $90/month by switching. Spectrum was able to move over my Galaxy S8+ ok, but not my wife's S7, so that meant new phone for her. Here comes the only bad part of the experience. My wife picked out a Samsung Galaxy A-51. I asked the clerk if it was wireless charging compatible and was told it was. I could have googled that, but I had no reason to not believe him. That is until we got home and found out it wasn't. This business gets ZERO stars!!! There needs to be a negative star button!!! When you take in your equipment they will still charge you $89.99 for just Internet for the entire month!!!! No matter if you only used 9 days of service. Even when you call customer service, no support!! I was a customer for 10 years. No customer compassion. I will NOT recommend this company!!! Buy a hotspot. It will save you grief and money. My bill started at $45 raised past double. This is beyond words of frustration and anguish. Probably the most disconnected communication and service you can find. Multiple times calling in, schedule appts and walk-in only each with a different answer and NONE capable of helping. They only service NEW clients which still was a terrible experience in itself when I signed up. Expect to wait HOURS even with an appointment. They sold me mobile services and phones no problem. Phone broke....which happens so naturally ordered a replacement. Same Phone - can't use unlocked devices unless it's sold by them fyi. Seriously the same phones were on their counter. Finally get in to talk in person, after customer service told me to go to a local store, only to find out that even though they sold me the phones and the plans I can't buy a phone through them....it has to be my wife as she is primary. Never was I given such a run around and never would I get so many people passing the buck because they don't want to work at all. Crap service crap company. GO Anywhere else! read more

The hour I had to spend on the phone trying to get internet service was ridiculous. The sales person was required to offer me packages and then it's expensive on top of that. 85.00 a month for fast internet. Can we please end the monopoly? I have been paying $90 a month for 300 MBS and told them finally I was canceling and switching over to Verizon and they told me that they can bring it down to $40. Checked in to just drop off equipment. Had to sign in since you can't just drop off. Checked in at 310pm. They were slow with 3 people working. I went to wait in the car but the UPS store can also take the return. I went to the UPS store 5 minutes away, they scanned the equipment and gave me a receipt, all within 10 minutes. Got home and received a text that I was next in line at Spectrum, now the time was 345pm. They need to change that if you are just dropping off, you don't need to wait. read more

Currently waiting to switch out my modem/router at the Polaris location. It has been an hour and a half. Two people working. This is beyond ridiculous. There should be someone here who just does equipment returns or switch outs. Get them in and out. I'm not here to buy anything UPDATE: It just doesn't end! Took the new modem and router home and set them up. Used my phone to look at my account online. It still shows the old router/modem so I call customer service. The customer service rep at the store never registered the new equipment to our account. She scanned the label with the Mac number and the serial number no less than four times but obviously what she was doing was not correct. Spent more than an hour on the phone getting the new equipment registered and working. She asked me twice if it was my modem to which I replied this is all your equipment. The staff members were relying on another person/ ? Supervisor just so they could get into their computer to sign me up as a customer; this person , ? Supervisor, was leaving the store "to pick up a child from school " , so my salesperson had to run out of the store to get him! After getting into the computer, the program was set up in such a way that Many unnecessary questions were needed to be asked just to establish me as an internet customer. I heard the supervisor explaining to my salesperson "that's how you make money". After returning home, I realized that my sales person did not send the proper wires home with me and I still could not get connected to the Internet. read more

Their cable service was horrible. Paid for their Cloud DVR and the tech couldn't even show me how it works. He said that wasn't part of his job. So we canceled that service. Internet was reliable, but when I went to cancel the internet due to moving, they said they don't pro-rate. So if you move during that cycle you pay 100% regardless of when you request to turn it off. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I see the current rating is 1.5 so let me just say: I'm not about to help it! SO: I finally had to CANCEL my spectrum service after months of spotty service (with this past month being the worst). I work 3rd shift from home and there's been outages almost EVERY DAY for the past week and a half... Mind you I wasn't warned about outages until AFTER I call in to see what's wrong with my service!! The representatives don't know about them either until after I call in (shortly after I call, I get a notification saying I'm in an outage). This past week has been so bad, I had to drive to work in the middle of my shift at 1am and 2am due to not having internet service. ****The true cherry on top was when I called to cancel my service this morning, I was offered so many discounts, offers, and promotions... but when I called in to complain about my service interruptions: I was offered a TWO DOLLAR credit most of the time (a PRORATED rate for EACH DAY service is interrupted)**** Keep this in mind today is JUNE 8TH. When I told them I was canceling, I was notified I would be billed for the WHOLE MONTH of June because they DON'T prorate BUT REMEMBER MY CREDITS WERE PRORATED DUE TO THE FACT THAT JUNE JUST STARTED!!! Why is it that when my service doesn't work, you can prorate it day-by-day to nickel & dime me...but when I cancel BARELY a week into the month, they want to charge me for the whole month? Oh! When I just returned the equipment to the Spectrum store today, another customer was in there returning equipment and complaining about the service (it's only 10:45am) YIKES. *****Do yourself a favor and DON'T GET SPECTRUM.***** I will GLALDY pay for service from the 1st-8th (even though outages lasting HOURS happened) But I will not be paying for a whole month of service! This is a communication company. Their Internet was down (!) when I stopped by to drop off two Internet receiver boxes. I had canceled service with Spectrum as they had increased my Internet costs remarkably. (That's how they reward a loyal customer who have been with them since their predecessor company in 1992). The fellow at the store told me the Internet was down and I would need to come back at a later date to drop the boxes off because they couldn't document that I had left them. I told him that it was a one hour round-trip for me and I was not planning on coming back. I asked one of the folks in the store to ensure that it got credited to my account. I just received a letter saying that I had equipment that must be returned. Thankfully, I started with WOW Internet at less than half the price and more than double the speed. And no charge for the boxes for which they are attempting to charge me. Avoid this place. read more

No one in this store understands the Spectrum Programs. I was told I could return all my cable boxes and stream all my channels off of Roku devices. I was also told, for $10 a month, I could purchase a Cloud DVR and record on each TV. I purchased 5 Roku devices, set them up, returned all five cable boxes and signed up for the Cloud DVR. However, I was unable to access the DVR and record programs. I had to return to the store the next day to inquire as to how I could access the Cloud DVR (as there is no way to call the store directly). I was told by the store, I needed to either wait 72 hours for the DVR to activate or call their tech support to activate. I returned home and called Spectrums Tech Support to active my Cloud DVR. I was then bounced from the billing dept, tech department and sales department, until I finally requested to speak with a supervisor. Long story short, I could not access the Cloud DVR as Spectrums requires, I must have at least one cable box in my home to record on the Cloud DVR. I was also told if I choose not to have a box, I would automatically be charged for one anyway. How is it that all the employees in the Spectrum store did not know that and on top of that, believed the program was something totally different? read more

It is not due to their notoriously bad Wi-Fi router either as my smart TV is connected directly to the modem via Ethernet cable. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR SPECTRUM TV / Internet service if you are in the Columbus metropolitan area. They are terrible at customer service and internet CONSTANTLY GOES OUT. In addition if you plan on disconnecting service mid or early billing period, they fail to tell you that they do not ProRate their billing. YOU HAVE TO PAY FULL SERVICE CHARGES regardless. The customer service people tell you that the verbiage it is on your bill stating but when you look at your bill that language is not there.. it's hidden in their online agreement language. Sneaky in how they price hike you slowly every month your bill will go up until you realize you were once paying 100 for internet and cable to all a sudden 200. I really don't understand why polaris parkway store is still open none of the people that work there can help you, system always down or point you to go to Kroger to pay your bill. This store is a joke, I set up an appointment before going in. When I walked in the guy told me he wouldn't see the appointment or know who I was. After asking about an upgrade and being told they don't have any in stock, I asked how I would be able to check stock at this or other locations before I made the half hour drive. The employee then said "I'm not here to answer questions, I'm here to sell things". He was unbelievably rude and didn't care to answer anything if you weren't making a purchase. After leaving I tried calling customer service to see if any iPhone 12 Pro Max's were in stock any where in Columbus and was told they have no idea what stock any of the stores carry.
