Just was switch over from the bright house plan to the spectrum plan. Ive had nothing but lost connectivity and my router going in and out. I had no problem before bright house switched to spectrum. My bill doubled and i got less than half the internet speed I was getting! I was not made aware until a month and a half later that my service changed and that my bill was going to increase! When I called and made a complaint the best that they could do is a "one time $10 reduction of my bill! They can screw off cause I'm not paying them a dime for trying to charge me more and not make me aware. read more

only gave one star because you cant give zero. I turned in my equipment and was told that a final bill would be mailed to me, never received a bill but I got a call from collection agency. How in the world do you send my bill to collection agency without ever letting me know the amount and giving me a chance to pay it, which I would have immediately done since I have good credit and don't want that ruined. I tried to lodge a BBB complaint but surprise surprise they are not listed. read more

I came home today and was soooo disappointed to see that atrocious mini-satelite dish installed on my new neighbor's eave less than 60ft away from my home. This component is a huge eye sore which makes me sick. Why does this piece of equipment have to be so intrusive, not to mention just plain ugly! It would be great to see the cable industry do some brainstorming and spend those outrageous cable dollars and fees into their R&D to design and engineer a component that is OUT OF SIGHT or left to the viewing pleasure of their customer only. read more

I've been using Bright House's internet service for almost five years, three in Orlando, FL and two in Bakersfield, and I have to say, of all the internet companies I have had experience with, these guys are one of the best. I can't speak for their cable TV, but the internet service has always been outstanding. I use the Lightning Service and regularly achieve 160mbps down and 11.5mbps up. Their customer service is what really makes them stand out. I've worked for ISP tech support in the past, so I know what it's like to deal with frustrated customers trying to diagnose connection issues. Bright House sent two techs out back to back to solve an issue that ended up being unrelated to their equipment or service; it was one of my computers causing the issue. They didn't ignore me and helped resolve my issue in no time. Honestly, it's their customer service that inspired me to take the time to write this review. It's hard to find quality customer care nowadays. read more

The cable service is ok, but trying to get through to them on the phone was like pulling teeth!! I wanted to cancel the service to our rental property, so I called the phone number on the bill, and after going through the motions with the automated service, they would say the number didn't go through and to "please try your call again." I did this about 4 or 5 times. Finally I got fed up, and decided to make it hard for them to understand what I was saying, so they'd have to transfer me to an operator. FINALLY, I got through. They seriously need to do something about the horrible phone service! read more

I wish I had not switched, from At&t. I have had the service since November and just scheduled my 7th service tech to "fix" my problem. I should have done some research prior to switching. Horrible service, can anyone tell me what is going on with this service. Nope. read more

Bright House was a great company when they first opened. They went downhill and were bought out by Spectrum. Now they are even worse. Their rates immediately increased while service immediately took a nosedive in quality. Here's a little fact that many aren't aware of as they choose between AT&T and Spectrum in our area, AT&T owns Spectrum in California. They bought them right after Spectrum bought Bright House. So the reason why Spectrum immediately took a nosedive instead of getting better with the new company is because AT&T wants them to force customers to AT&T. They do not provide a good quality product. Their service is slow and has constant interruptions. They throttle your speeds near the end of the month of if you go past the due date on your bill. They increase your bill without notice. They do not apply payments properly and they are rude. They don't properly maintain their infrastructure so the cables and wires they claim are 5G aren't and they're still charging people for speeds they know they can never deliver. If it were at all possible to avoid either Spectrum and AT&T I would recommend doing so and hopefully in the future as the internet advances in how we connect to it, we won't need them. I have internet alone and it is supposed to be $69.99 and they snuck a $1 increase in this month. That is an already ridiculous price. As soon as Spectrum took over BH they tried to force everyone onto bundles to keep their services. Then they eventually forced everyone onto Spectrum and although we had been promised to keep a grandfathered in rate, they immediately began increasing it Now they claim they can and will continue to increase it every 12 months. Who wants to pay for a service that is constantly increasing while also declining? If you have a way to piggy back off of your cell phone, public wifi, etc I would suggest doing that. This company is a waste of money. read more

Do you even read the reviews? The Prices are to high for the service. Today I have been on hold for an hour and half, giving me time to rate your lovely company and I'm serious." All agent are with other customer your call will be answered as soon as possible." Uhgg!!! Still here!!! read more

I have never worked with a more inept bunch of people in my life. I changed my credit card because the old one was compromised. I gave them the new number and they had it on file but still charged the bad one. Naturally, it didn't go through. They disconnected my service so I called them. They said that my service would be reconnected with 2 to 24 hours. 24 hours later I called them again. They passed me around to 4 different people and the fourth said it will take 2 to 24 hours to reconnect. I said that was unacceptable so she said she would get a supervisor. They transferred me to back into the phone loop. I have been waiting on the phone for 40 minutes with no one answering. How could a cable company be more inept? read more

I have to say, for the most part Bright House has the best customer service! Lakrisha helped me out today and she was so nice, friendly, and fixed the problem I was having. James Lawrence and a gentleman names Sergio have helped me out too who were great! read more

For a company that deals in technology, their bill pay system is the clunkiest, most awkward POS that I've ever encountered. I've had to enter my routing and account numbers up to four times before it would decide that it would accept them. Really? What other website requires you to enter routing and account numbers everytime you log on? Now the website is down and I can't even get them to tell me that I entered the wrong numbers. I have to come back for a second helping of grief. read more

Such an awful experience I've had with these people. Internet keeps going down, the cable is fuzzy in and out. They've had to replace the cable box multiple times. I have to call them at least once every other month to have something fixed and they don't always fix it. I've had them tell me they were going to rewire but never came back. the only other service I can find is AT&T and they are just as bad. All their modem boxes lose signal so I had to buy my own router to strengthen it. They wont give me the password to change the channel with the interference around the neighborhood. Every once in a rare while I have the same service of download/upload I pay for. I can't go 2 episodes on Netflix without disconnecting. When everything is down they will not answer their phones. With only 2 companies competing here they can give us as crappy of service as they want. I hope they read all these negative comments, though it won't do any good because they know how much they screw us. Too expensive for a service that almost never works. read more

Customer service is horrible. They always seemed bothered. Its rare if I go pay my bill and lines are not long.

I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of professionalism and inability of Spectrum to accommodate simple requests from model customers such as I. I was given the run around when I asked to reduce my services because I don't watch TV. When I asked why I didn't have access to my bill online to verify who I was, I was told it could be a problem on my end, even though the pop-up on my computer indicated that it was Spectrum's problem. I was then told a blatant lie as to why I couldn't reduce my service and expected to swallow such obvious sophistry. I am angry, incensed, and I am going to actively protest this company by letting others know that its service is deplorable. I have never been treated with such contempt in my life, nor have I ever taken the time to write a review, but I consider it my civic duty to alert others that this company will be soon losing me as a customer. I do not recommend it to anyone, ever. read more

i missed brighthouse, a lot. i just did not know how good i got until stupid/greedy spectrum took over. both of my internet at work and home dropped very very frequently. i am waiting and researching for a good internet company to jump ship. read more

hello to whom reads this i am not liking spectrum internet services because i pay for the highest services and it is supper slow and i called and they said that they cant do any thing about the slow connection with wifi or the internet and every since they bought out bright house it sucks but we have no choice but maybe it will get better and i hope but you should give them a try for your self and do not take my word for it but i am not happy right now. read more

I gave them one star because you can't give zero!! Bright House networks is by far the WORST cable provider I have EVER come across!!....I have been a customer for about 6 years and have officially lost my patience with them. Not only are they WAAAAY over priced ( I currently pay about $170.00/mo for just cable and wifi....I do have HBO and Showtime (currently NOT working), but still).....I have to call them at least once a week because one of my services are not working...I have had my boxes replaced twice and programs still skip and dont even get me started about the wifi speed!!!... Its pathetic! And my neighbors experience the same issues with them!! The only reason I have stayed so long is they are month to month and dont make you sign a 2 year contract, but at this point I could go to a new company and start out as a new customer and pay way less, which is what I am going to do! Don't waste your money and save yourself the headache and go with another cable provider!! read more
