Had a 7:30 reservation. Got there at 7 sat at the bar waiting for my family. Bartender was a complete asshole. Got to the point where I had to ask him if he was alright. Very confrontational and just a difficult person. There were 2 bartender, let's say and older and younger one. The older man was awesome very friendly and attentive think he knew of his co workers short comings and tried to go behind him and clean up his messes. I feel really bad typing this but here goes.... I'm only gave them 2 stars because of the service and the ambiance. Love the facts that the bathrooms are unisex and they were CLEAN. The staff they had tonight was by far the best staff I came across at any establishment. Our server Tyler W. was a 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend sitting in his section anytime you go. The newly remodeled spaghetti warehouse is absolutely beautiful and clean. Love that the tables move for us bigger folks hahahah. This can definitely be a place to take the family or as a romantic date. Still has the old school train vibe. It has better light than before. None on to this food, a 2 out of 10 the only thing that was palatable was the Caesar Salad but how can you mess up a salad with 3 ingredients. Other than the lettuce being welted and it wasn't it was very fresh. The wedding Italian soup garbage. The white meat chicken that was in it was dry. How can something be dry that's in a broth. They used spaghetti noodles in the soup, different. But it had absolutely no flavor or seasoning not even from the ingredients that was in it. The kids spaghetti is just that spaghetti and sauce. Ohh and a meatball which was unwilling. The sauce was flavorless didn't taste any herbs. The 15 layers lasagna was definitely 15 layers that was the best thing about it, it wasn't a lie. Oh and the salmon tasted just like salmon...... and char (an ash taste). I tried to step out of the box but ordering the carbonara and it reminded me why I just need to stay in the box. No matter how I tried to doctor it up, I couldn't finish it. The raw egg was supposed to add flavor it didn't but I did like the texture it add. The portions of the food were definitely worth the price. I personally don't think it was expensive to feed my family definitely less than $100 to feed 4 which included a nice tip (more than 15%). All I'm going to say is I think the Italians would be very disappointed in people calling this an Italian restaurant. It's just a spaghetti warehouse. read more

This was such a disappointment. The 6 of us went for the first time since it opened at the new location. We all used to eat at the old Spaghetti Warehouse 2-3 times a month. we loved it. This IS NOT the Spaghetti Warehouse we loved over the last 15 years. The food was horrible. Old Spaghetti Warehouse how you've disappointed us. We loved - and missed - the old one and couldn't wait to try this new one. Four of us ordered. Three meals came out but why did mine take much longer? And when it did arrive, the chicken was well done - almost burnt (Chicken Parm). I asked for a manager and "complained" to him. He acted as though he was clueless...didn't know why my meal was late. I showed him the chicken and he apologized. Later he did come by and told me he removed my meal from the bill. I went once before a year ago and it was terrible but that was during the soft open so I wanted to give it another chance. I met 5 friends who used to go with me all the time at the old location. None of them had been to the new location yet. The house salad dressing, the Italian I always got before, was gloppy and a weird orangey color. I didn't eat my salad. The rest of my group ate vegetarians and used to get the spicy marinara. Marinara is not on the menu any more but the server said they had it. She brought what must be the tomato sauce in the side menu, suitable for 5 year olds. It had no herbs or spices and was just a diluted tomato sauce or paste. The pasta was starchy. The bread was old hard rolls that were basically inedible. The server said they can longer get the bread from the old supplier but they know how bad the rolls are and are trying to secure an alternative. All six of us agreed that the meal was terrible, the parking is inconvenient, and we will never be back. The place was almost empty two days after Christmas. The old place would have been packed with families going to COSI. This location cannot survive. read more

We couldn't wait to try the new location, as we used to go to the old one at least twice a month. We just went for our anniversary and we really should have went somewhere else. the new location just doesn't really fit. the food was not as good as the last SW. the portions were much smaller. my husband got the spaghetti with beer chili and the portion size was that of maybe a can of chef boy r-d. I always used to order chicken Marsala served on top of the spaghetti ( it's still on the menu) and they said they couldn't make it like that. I said well, you just make the chicken and then put it on top of the plain pasta. she said I'm sorry, we can't do that. you have to get a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce. I ended up getting chicken Parmesan. the chicken was overcooked and it hardly had any sauce on it. we also ordered a calamari appetizer and there was maybe 8 pieces. we asked for grated cheese since it is no longer on the tables and waited almost ten minutes for it. We followed the parking instructions on their website, got our ticket validated for $2.00 in the restaurant and then tried to leave the parking garage and the validated ticket wouldn't work. Parking ended up costing us $7.00 vs $5.00 the standard rate or the $2.00 we thought we were only paying. So, the new SW is a failure from our standpoint. not worth the parking hassle, the drive or the cost of the food there. Olive Garden is more worth the money. Will not be back. read more

The staff were great. The food was not so good. The location overlooking the Commons will be nice in the summer, but even our water was bad. It tasted like tin and was undrinkable. The salads were obviously left over from the night before with wilted lettuce. The spaghetti was only warm at best and one of my three meatballs was actually cold. The paper menus were stained with the food from prior use and torn. A third of the menu was no long available including all sandwiches and pizza. My husband and I decided to check out the new place. First, street parking only. No valet. And you'll be very lucky if you find a place to park nearby. Second, atmosphere sucks. Very plain, hardly any decoration. It does back up to the park and has very large garage type doors with huge windows, so you can overlook the park. Appetizer we ordered was fried zucchini. It was very very good. Unfortunately, that was the best part of the meal. Husband ordered the linguine frutti di mare. He said it was horrible. Three of the six mussels were not open. Which means they were bad. (We know cuz we make this all the time at home). The remaining seafood he said tasted old. He did not eat it. Waitress asked if he wanted something else, and he declined. We did not get a credit for it on our check. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara with chicken. It as ok. It had way too many onions in it. And it wasn't warm. Which means, the creamy Parmesan sauce was cold and clumpy. The chicken was dry. We did not order dessert. I gave two stars for the appetizer. We won't be going back. read more

It's a much smaller space; I'd estimate a quarter of the square footage. The wedding soup looked much improved, but was lukewarm and very bland. The portions, at least what I ordered, were significantly less than the old location. Very small drink glasses; servers are going to hate running refills constantly. The menu is scattershot, as many items won't be available until late next month. The service was a tad slow and disjointed; you could tell they weren't fully trained or prepared to open yet. I assume they couldn't wait any longer, since they're in a very high rent district. The atmosphere is...generic, at best. There is one(yes, one) item at the front beside the bar from the old location(Uncle Sam carving). Otherwise, there is very little to tie it to the original. If you didn't know any better, you'd think you walked into a generic wing joint/sports bar. Except for the TV's, the walls are mostly bare. You walk between two sides of booths(their "homage" to the trolley car) to get to the main dining room, which has a few large televisions, and overlooks the Columbus Commons(which is cool with the Christmas light display in view). There are two or three glass garage doors which look like they'll be used in the Spring or Summer, I assume for concerts, etc. It's a bit of a walk from the Columbus Commons garage, unless you luck into a street spot). They will most likely alienate most of their old customer base, especially families, as it's nothing like the original(nothing to look at, no candy or games, etc). I really wouldn't even consider taking our Grandchildren there any longer, which is sad; it's definitely an adult vibe. If they can't attract a new clientle fairly quick, I'm not sure how long they'll survive. We may give it another shot in a few months, but I'm not optimistic. On the plus side, the Dayton location is phenomenal and worth the hour drive. read more

The worst experience ever. This new restaurant is a complete disaster. From the wait time when there are millions of tables open, to the new trolly booths that are just plain booths, to the wait staff. Everyone loves loves the unlimited bread and this is no longer an option! They said they are only allowing one per table. I was there with my 6 YO for a birthday dinner for my husband and my kid loved the bread. It was heartbreaking to tell him that the unlimited bread was a no. The normal lasagna I get was overloaded with a full spreading of some green garnish. The waitress had no idea how to do her job and had her head in the clouds. She said she validated our parking with the discount, but nope, didn't work when we checked out of the garage. This place is a ginormous NO. I would never take any of my friends and family here. What did you guys do with the pleasant and beautiful warehouse atmosphere that was The Sphaghetti Warehouse. You completely ruined it. read more

My wife and I, first time at the new location on High St. and it will be our last time back for a very, very long time for the below reasons 1. Parking is very hard to find, Spaghetti Warehouse advertised free parking, but they don't mention it's 3 blocks away in a dirty parking garage. 2. My wife and I made reservations 2 weeks in advance, we got to the restaurant 15 minutes before our check in time and the hostess told us they accidentally gave our table away, although the restaurant was packed, we would be next in line for a table. "We waited 20 mins for the next table" 3. We finally got seated, we each ordered a margarita, when it came it was in the smallest glass we ever had for margaritas and when we tasted it, it was the nastiest drink we ever had. 4. My wife ordered lasagna and I ordered spaghetti, very, very small portions. We both thought our meals tasted very average. "Myself I could have done better eating spaghetti out of a can" 5. Once done with dinner, the waitress told us, spaghetti warehouse would validate our parking ticket for "free parking". So we got our ticket validated and noticed later, we were charged by spaghetti warehouse a $2 cover charge for validating our ticket. 6. We walked the 3 blocks back to the parking garage, got in our vehicle, proceeded to insert our validated ticket into the parking gate, and a message came up stating "pay $4" to exit garage, our ticket was not validated correctly, we ended up having to pay for parking. We went to the new Spaghetti Warehouse three nights ago and were a little unsure after reading the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised! Management is clearly listening to the feedback on here and working to improve- most of the issues that people were unhappy with were not issues at all for us. We were seated right away in the booths. There were 5 of us and 3 loaves of bread were immediately brought out to the table. Our waitress was very attentive. Drinks were refilled without needing to be asked, and more bread was brought out without having to ask, as well. (One small critique is that we were never given bread plates so we ate our bread on the extra napkins provided.) I ordered spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce. They forgot the meat sauce and gave me marinara but it wasn't worth mentioning/complaining about to me. One friend ordered the ravioli and the other ordered the chicken parm. Both loved their meals. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The other two in our party were kids who ordered the kids spaghetti and meatballs with fries as their side. Everything went well with validating our parking. It was a pleasant experience and we were happy with our food and service all around. read more

I took my team out for an appreciation lunch and I was highly disappointed in the food as well as the smell when we entered the restaurant. It smelled like sewage and the young lady who greeted us, was anything but friendly. She was very short and dismissive. We had a reservation and she asked are you the party of 7 or 8? I looked at her and replied,I have a 11:30 reservation under my last name. She took us to a booth and when we asked for a table to the inconvenience of booth,she wasn't happy. Needless to say, she moved us and when the other server started to take the menus off the table,she started getting loud with her. Now, we place our food order and I can only tell you that Alfredo noodles looked dry and I asked if the wedding soup had carrots and I was told no. Well, it did. Then we waited to get refills on our beverages. We were done with our meals and had to signal our server over to the table to ask for refills. So we finally got our refills,asked for ice water,got water no ice,asked for lemonade,got a sweet tea. The ambiance is very nice,the food and service not so much. I'm writing this review after noticing the responses from others in hopes that it will be helpful for future guests. Spaghetti Warehouse has always been one of those "special occasion" restaurants for my family and friends. This is our first time coming to the new one since it opened and it would've been okay for a casual dinner but it was our Christmas family dinner. We were welcomed by two very nice hosts and to my surprise found out there was no wait on a Sunday night before Christmas -- which given my attempt to make a reservation on OpenTable (directed from the SW website) I would've expected a wait. The website has no reservations available for the entire month of December and when I called the restaurant, left a message requesting a call back, it went without a response. The ambiance is cool - I like the touches of the old place and how the windows overlook the commons. We sat in one of the train cars which was cute. Our server had the highest sense of urgency, which was appreciated mostly, except we felt like she was almost too busy or rushed to stop and take a full order even with several empty surrounding tables. The food was okay, our calamari wasn't hot and it was also served in a round plastic container (like a to go container). Dinners were also warm but not hot. The drinks were fine - but we all mostly had wine. I think there is definitely room for growth. Get your reservation system up to date so it's accurate and available, make sure the food is hot, not warm. And lastly just fine tune the serving skills so we don't have to send her on 2-3 separate trips because we were only able to request one thing before she was off and running! We shared fun memories during dinner or our previous SW experiences. Unfortunately we just aren't in as big of a hurry to brave the downtown parking anytime soon. Happy holidays! read more

And, our view was fabulous. Looking out over the commons area, at all the Christmas lights. Just beautiful! We stopped in here after a community event held in the Columbus Commons on a Saturday evening and were able to get right in. With two little girls, we were so impressed how attentive the staff was and they made sure we had quick service. We had multiple staff come and check on us and everyone was extremely friendly - especially our server, Crystal S. While we miss the nostalgia of the original location, this is a great option for families downtown looking for quality food that won't break the bank. read more
