I ordered a strawberry boba milk tea online for pickup a few months back. Although I think it was probably ready on time, it took a bit to get the drink since the worker was mostly doing things in the back and did not see/hear the first one or two times that I pressed the bell (not sure if that has changed since then). They did have a table outdoors for those who want to eat outside. The tea itself was pretty good - I like strawberry flavored things and it had a good balance between the fruit flavor and milk, and it was quite sweet. I don't think there was an option in the online ordering to specify a sugar level, unfortunately. It came packaging with plastic handles that make it easier to carry without spilling, which I appreciated. The main downside is just that it's a bit expensive for milk tea given the quantity, though I realize boba prices are on the rise everywhere in Berkeley. I def have been waiting for a good fried chicken spot in Berkeley after a string of absolutely over rated failures that didn't last much longer than a year each near campus. This sandwich was super crispy, and flavorful, the brioche bun not too sweet or too soft, it had substantiality which lent itself well to the solid crunch of the chicken. Hella tasty spicy tangy sauce that paired perfectly with the Singha Beer, enough to mellow out the burn but not the flavor. Love the banh mi-ish fillings too, lightened up the sandwich so it didn't feel hella heavy. Brussel sprouts: I ain't never had such buttery soft and lightly sweet brussel sprouts in my life. None of the anticipated bitterness from the outer leaves that are charred in the oven as I've had in the past. I brought it home with me from the restaurant and the chicken held up HELLA well! I got lucky and got my food faster than most of the folks that had been waiting ahead of me, but the fried chicken in my sandwich was very dry and chewy and my French fries were super over cooked. Southside Station is a great place to order if you're looking for a party platter to share with friends. I went with a friend from high school and we ordered the wing and things to share. First off upon entering, it was a bit interesting as they have an ordering window embedded in a wall, with the kitchen in the back with a few tables in the front. Rang a doorbell to order and was amused that the compostable bowl provided was stamped "Singha" like the beer they carry. They also have some interesting cocktails but as I'm on a "cleanse" I had to refrain unfortunately. This Berkeley restaurant is perfect for getting lunch to-go, offering a menu of American staples, some having a Thai or Asian twist. I got the combo fried chicken sliders with curly fries (middle right) and not only was the chicken juicy and delicious, but it was damn near the same size as getting 2 of the regular fried chicken sandwiches (top row) for the same price as 1! Definitely don't consider the slider to be slider size, but no complaints as I got to save one for later. The garlic noodles were thick and tasty, and the curly fries were great. We also tried the lychee iced tea (top right corner) and loved it, it was very fresh and had 3 whole lychee fruits at the bottom. The only downside is that there is a long wait for the food, due to them having a very small staff. This isn't an issue if you aren't in a rush or order in advance though, so plan accordingly! The best fried chicken sandwich I've found so far. It's got a light crispy batter and the flavors are so good. The chicken is very tender. It's got a Thai sauce/ dressing on the brioche bun that's just the right combination of savory with a little spicey kick. They also come with curly fries that are to die for. Just cooked to perfection with the right amount of seasoning. I always have ketchup with my fries, but these were so good they didn't last the ride home. I was in Berkeley last Saturday and super glad we checked this out. The thigh was fried lightly while still keeping its juiciness and they do not skimp on the portions here. House made brioche bun was excellent and the Sriracha wasn't spicy even for my gf who can't handle the heat. Curly fries were very good fries and I got some of the sriracha to dip the fries in.
