I seriously love this place. Every time I go there, I have a blast. From live music on the weekends to an amazing lomo saltado and any kind of sauce you can imagine, this place is amazing. Their flan is to die for, and the owner is pretty nice. Now, the only gripes that I have with this place are: - Sometimes there are certain staff members that are less than friendly. If it wasn't for the amazing food and the integrity I've known the owner to have, that would have completely ruined my experience. - I don't know what it is, but sometimes it takes a little longer to get my order, so I wouldn't come here if you're absolutely starving. - Lastly, I wish I could place an order on the phone. It would save a lot of time. Overall, though, this place still deserves a 5 star because the food is absolutely amazing, and the vibes make you feel amazing. read more

We stumbled onto this place after a killer mid-morning walk by the Bay. We had skipped breakfast, so we were totally starving and needed a quick bite before our next appointment. Super tender, not overly fatty, and packed with flavor. It sits on a tasty vinaigrette salad, and the potatoes on the side were executed perfectly--nice and fluffy on the inside with a perfectly roasted skin. The Mushroom Empanadas: These were unique! Instead of the typical heavy, deep-fried style, they use a flaky puff pastry for the shell. The filling was savory and so delicious. Alright, I totally underestimated this Peruvian restaurant. We ordered the Half Chicken for about $19 as of May 2026, and one thing we definitely didn't expect was how massive the portion of fries that came with it was. And these fries were good fries! They were super crunchy on the outside, but soft and moist on the inside. I could honestly eat these fries for days. And the portion size, wow, it was huge. This dish could easily feed more than one person. Yes I get it that at the end of the day it's still just half a rotisserie chicken, and you could probably get something similar at a much cheaper price at places like Costco etc., but honestly, considering the location, this felt like a pretty decent deal. But I'd go out of my way to come back for these. 1) they are as generous size 2) the flavors are complex but also comforting... paired with the salsa criolla it's perfect. 3) the texture was great. That's a big deal that it's not just mush or dry meat inside. The mushroom filling and the chicken one had Lots of moisture but was not drippy and messy. 4) the crust was light and flaky which was a surprise but I loved it. I often break off crust when it's too dry but it supported and complimented the filling. The mushroom empanada could be served in a fine dining restaurant. It looks and tastes that good! read more

There's several restaurants in the Public Market that sell sweet potato fries, and I decided to try Paradita's. Sadly, I felt they were too soft and soggy and not crispy enough. It might partly have been because the fries had been steaming in the takeout box, but even then, I know it's possible to make them crispier to compensate for it. It came with a spicy sauce, might've been sriracha and mayo. I see they do have veggies saltado and quinoa flan on their menu, though, so I may try those next time. read more

My friend and I stopped in the public market in Emeryville. There were several little booths with different types of foods to choose from. There was quite a variety to choose from. We finally decided upon the Peruvian restaurant. The place like all the others was rather small. There were only about four tables, but it was still comfortable. I tried the pork roast sandwich that also had sweet potato on it. It was absolutely delicious. The combination of the flavors were really good. I definitely will have another. We stopped into this spot at the E'Ville Public Market with big appetites after a nice long walk along the water. The staff and management were incredibly kind and gracious with our special requests. We ordered the Aji de Gallina with yucca fries and a salad that had an amazing passionfruit vinaigrette. I still think about that salad... it was perfectly dressed and I wish I could recreate that vinaigrette at home, or at the very least buy it by the bottle. When I first entered I was greeted with warm smiles by the staff. I got the chicken skewers and it came with a salad bathed in a vinaigrette and two small potato slices, aswell as a side a green and yellow sauce. The chicken skewers were extremely juicy and tender. The marinade on the chicken was mouthwatering and when I had some of the salad it came with in the vinaigrette it felt like a flavor bomb in my mouth. The sauces on the side honestly weren't necessary because everything I ate had so much flavor but the sauces still tasted amazing aswell. I love this place! There's a row of seating available inside. Simple decor, which is nice as it doesn't take away from the experience of tasting the food. When I got my order of Lomito al Jugo, I was so excited. We were very indecisive on what we wanted for lunch so we decided to go to the Emeryville Public Market for a variety of options. Found this Peruvian spot and it did not disappoint! We sat at the bar next to a happy customer which was refreshing. The aroma of spices was making me hungrier as the bar is in view of the kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the free slider offered while we waited for our food! It was multiple samples of their sandwiches on the menu. Hey, WE LOVE FREE STUFF! Wow the Paradita Eatery, located in the Emeryville Public Market, does nothing but impress when you smell the amazing food and taste the delicious eats that take your taste buds straight to the streets of Cusco, Peru. The service is fast and delivered with a smile. We shared a few things on the menu but the Adobo Arequipa stood out with its beautiful colors and diverse, rich flavors. They were moderately greasy, which could be good or bad depending how you're feeling. Near the end I shredded some chicken and made the perfect bite with chicken+fries+both sauces. While we were at the Public Market, our friend ordered a pollipapas at Paradita Eatery for us to try. It's basically loaded fries which includes chopped up fried chicken, creamy rocoto aioli, cilantro, feta cheese and a side of chimichurri sauce for a tanginess to cut the grease. Tasted great altogether! Though I felt $15.50 was a bit steep for fries, however this could be a meal! Service was fast and friendly. Inside public market is a Peruvian restaurant, while it doesn't sell ceviche it sells lomo saltado, something other Peruvian restaurants in the bay don't have. This place also sells tacos and dog friendly bites, so I would say I qualify as a fusion rather than authentic. I had a traditional lomo saltado, it was delicious. I probably would say If you ordered some of those things in a taco I'd feel like a fajita. Place sells Peruvian beer and other spirits, kind staff and salsa music. Comes with mixed greens, tomato, and a passion fruit vinaigrette. The empanadas are huge. Made to share. You can even make a meal out of it. Just $10. Mushroom lovers will delight in the Empanada de Champinones. Topo Chico $5. I got a free Modelo by checking in on Yelp! Order from the friendly gentleman at the counter. You'll get a buzzer to let you know when to pick up your food. Seating at 2-tops and 4-tops or at the bar. Bonus: they offer breakfast on Tuesday - Sunday, 11 AM - 2 PM. Get this, bottomless mimosas are $22 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They give you 90 minutes to do your damage. I'm curious to try the bowls, skewers and rotisserie chicken sometime. Haven't been here since before COVID and so happy it's still here at the Emeryville Public Market. So many good things here but my most favorite dish I crave is the Arroz Chaufa which is Peruvian fried rice with pork belly. It's slightly different than before and can't figure out what's different. I know they put the sauce on the side now instead of drizzling on top and maybe the rice is not as fluffy and full as before but nonetheless still so delicious. Just be careful parking your car there cuz I've gotten my car broken into and they have many signs warning it's an issue there. Still hasn't prevented me from going there for my Chaufa cuz it's that worth it. I've been to Peru before and honestly I think I enjoy the Peruvian food at Paradita's more. So save yourself the hassle and altitude sickness and just come here. read more

This review is for ordering via YELP only. The food is freaking great. Ordering online from Paradita is always a hot mess. Ordering from Paradita via YELP is a sh*t show beyond measure. I was in SF heading back over the bridge so Grubhub was having trouble locating the business so I clicked via google- order pickup which launched Yelp. Placed my order - received the email confirmation and headed across the bridge to pick it up. Get to Paradita they didn't get the order. I show them my order number - the confirmation number and they can't find it. It's not even in their system. So now they are asking me to wait more - I've already been there for 15 minutes so I called Yelp/Grubhub help line - and they had to call the business to tell them to make my food ‍‍‍ So PRO tip - do not order this way.
