We also got a regular fry and a garlic fry. The actual fries were hot and crisp (only had to survive an 8 min trek home). Needed to add some salt to the fries when we got home but I'd rather us add salt than be stuck w fries that were too salty. As for the garlic fries - they were ever so lightly (lightly being the key word) sprinkled with garlic. There was definitely essence of garlic but I personally like a looooot of chopped garlic and cilantro on top of my garlic fries. But an overall good, solid burger and fries and we will def be back!
