    8-pc KFC Wings....Crispy!

@ OG Burger #3 3905 Broadway Oakland, CA 94611 Chimmelier is a Korean Street Food menu inside the new OG Burger location in North Oakland. They just opened about a month ago. The place is clean, spacious, and has some tables inside. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I've been to this restaurant three times already. the service has always been polite, prompt, and friendly. There can be a short wait if the place gets busy. So far, I have ordered: - 8 pc K-Chicken Wings, OG Style - K-Chicken Burger Jr Okay, the Korean Chicken Wings were small, crispy, and didn't have much meat. I will not order them again. If you're hungry, don't order wings. The K-Chicken Burger Jr was very good. The large piece of fried chicken hangs out of the bun. It has a dry rub coating, lightly crisp, and has a medium spicy kick. Okay, so to be clear, OG Burger has two menus. You can mix different items, and create one order. This place is worth a try.....

(This is 2 restaurants with one kitchen, so this review has been cross-posted to Oh G Burger.) Great spot to get Korean fried chicken and Korean snacks, with friendly service and reasonable prices. No wait on a Wednesday at lunch. It was easy to find metered street parking right outside, but it might be more challenging at busy times. John at the counter was super friendly and helpful in choosing what to order. I like spicy food but I also like not suffering, so I asked about their Buldak Chicken Burger. John told me honestly that it's insanely spicy. They make their own Buldak spicy sauce and he said he personally ensures it's as spicy as possible. Given that, I opted for the K-Chicken burger, as well as some Korean snacks and cheese curds. The boyfriend got the K-Chicken Burger Jr. and seasoned fries. K-Chicken Burger: Comically huge, which makes it a fun challenge to eat. Crunchy and flavorful. Shrimp toast: SO GOOD. Crispy, delicious shrimp squares. A must-get. Corn cheese: A miss for me. Too sweet, but at least you get a huge portion. Seasoned fries: Also amazing. Tons of sweet Korean seasoning that made for a wonderful side to our burgers. Cheese curds: Delicious and perfect, especially with their house-made KTI sauce (Korean Thousand Island). We were also happy with the value for our money - you get A LOT of food for a price that doesn't break the bank. My only real regret is not getting more food from the Oh G Burger side. At least now I have an excuse to come back!

Food is made to order so it takes some time but nice to know it's fresh and not just heated up. The Korean seasoned fries were a generous portion and were surprisingly addictive despite me not initially loving them. Junior chicken burger was definitely filling but I think the brioche bun is probably better on the regular burger. Radish was good - pickled nicely with a little spice. Employee was friendly and told me about the two menus - the other one is for Oh G Burger. Place is clean inside and I saw him cleaning after the diners next to me left. Will have to come back to try the shrimp toast. $6 more for the fries and drink to make it a combo was a decent deal in 2025.

Bruh....umm maybe it's just a personal preference but the wings were not my fav. They were way too big and overwhelming. It was heavy, like a triple chocolate mousse cake type of heavy. Almost tasted like honey bbq kfc wings but not really good. A little kick. Don't get me started on the kimchi fried rice...there was a taste/smell to it, like baby formula. Monkey king has the best kimchi fried rice. The only thing that was good about it was the fried egg....id give it 3 stars because the worker was nice and helpful, suggested things but it wasn't good :(

Juiciest and tastiest chicken I've had in a long time. I thought 8 pieces for $18 was steep but once I gave that first wing a try - it was very much worth it. The cashier recommended the honey butter flavor and it was amazing. No drumsticks, all yummy wings. The meat was almost falling off the bone and was juicy with no trace of dry meat. They estimated 20 mins for the order to be ready and I just took a stroll, came back and the food was ready. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Chimmelier (a popular Korean Street food + KFC spot in LA) had their first pop-up last year in Oakland, and we were lucky enough to try their delicious chicken burger! If you love Korean fried chicken and juicy burgers! Then y'all need to check out their new spot in Oakland on Broadway! If you like Spicy juicy KBBQ pork, then the Ohgane Burger is for you. It's like having KBbq, but on a burger. So good! Their tasty Impossible Burger for those who are vegetarian or vegan, and the Tteokboki with the Yang 'Yum' sauce was interesting and they tasted good together. I'm still dreaming of their cheese curds.

Amazing chicken sandwiches and even better service. They're so fast yet their food is so delicious! I also love how there's so much seating inside the store! Also, I recommend getting their shrimp toast!

Very big serving size with all the best mixes of toppings on top of the delicious short ribs. The sauce is so good and makes the dish 15/10. Service is ok but that's biased because we order the biggest/longest to cook dish but it's still pretty good. Restaurant ambiance is just ok in my opinion, not too many distracting decorations and tables & booths feel nice. We've also tried the spicy rice noodles which were just a 6/10 for me. The kimchi fried rice was also good but not our favorite -- solid 6/10 as well. We literally just come here for the short ribs. So if you're ever in the mood for Korean food and feeling a little 'rich', this place is a must try.

I was violently craving seolleongtang and did some research to find a spot in Oakland. The menu is pretty big with a lot of enticing options--I love bossam and blood sausage--but because I had tunnel vision, I stuck with the soup. The broth itself was good, and they had salt and pepper on the table so you could season it to your liking. Unfortunately, the noodles were way too soft and almost mushy, and the meat was extremely tough and hard to chew. I couldn't finish it. If seolleongtang is one of your favorite dishes, I'd probably skip it here. My husband got the kimchi fried rice, which was huge and great for sharing between 2-4 people. Based on the portion size, I do think it could use an extra egg, more Spam and some nori on top. It leaned more oily and buttery than other versions I've had, but it was still good--just nothing too special. The vibe and service were solid, so I'd come back to try other dishes and update my rating accordingly.

Even though it is a pocha, the food all felt very akin to Chinese food, with strong but singular flavours for each dish The fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce tasted like orange chicken. It came with slightly crisp tteok which was nice to break up the overwhelming flavour with that texture difference The squid dish offered a similar experience, with the texture of the crispy noodles distracting from the squid sauce for a limited time The crab and egg soup was a bit disappointing, the crab was the shredded fake crab stick kind, the soup was thick but mix of flavours (heavy on the green and red bell peppers) left a lot to be desired. There's a lot of good Korean food in Oakland, so you won't be stuck for choice around the area

Jamie W and I came here because we like to see what delectable options there might be on Oakland's Kimchi Row. Hey, I didn't make that nickname up. We came here because I heard they make an awesome Korean beef soup. Time to get our Korean on. Now I have to admit it took us a while to figure out how to enter because there were no transparent windows or doors on the street-facing sides of the building. We almost did a full rotation of the restaurant before we could get in. It's rather spartan inside, more like an old-school Shoney's. The menu consists mostly of soups and hot pots but also includes traditional Korean favorites customers expect. Jamie went with his favorite, the $20.99 Dolsot Bibimbap, steamed rice mixed with vegetables and beef sizzling in a stone pot (Photo 7). That was executed just fine with plenty of variety and heat retention. I wanted to try one of their soups and ordered the $30.95 Kkorigomtang, a bubbling cauldron of thick beef broth with submerged chunks of oxtail (Video). It required some patience to sip. Once it was temperate enough to taste, the broth was hearty but started to get blandly redundant once the tails were scooped out. This is where the Banchan came to my rescue as I dipped mouthfuls from each dish to spice up the broth (Photo 6). A bowl of rice and Jamie's leftovers helped, too. Authentic tasting food and very much a mom-&-pop shop where mom was tirelessly serving and cleaning.
