Sideshow Kitchen has crispy wings, garlic fries, and surprisingly reasonable prices. What I ordered: Lemon Pepper Wings Hyphy Hot Wings Garlic Fries Overall: 8.5/10. If you're going, I'd definitely recommend the lemon pepper, they had the best balance of seasoning and crunch. Service was great and fast. It was such a vibe to watch the soccer game :) read more

Nice casual place to enjoy a burger and wings while catching a game on their televisions. I ordered the Side Show Burger which has two smashed patties with lettuce tomato sautéed onions and mayonnaise with fries for $15.50. The burger was good but I kind of like the smash burgers at Hyphy Burger more. I also tried a half dozen lemon pepper wings with a great dill dipping sauce. The were above average size flats and drums with a nice crisp and taste. I look forward to trying more restaurants in Oakland:) read more

Ordering online in advance was easy this past weekend, and staff provided sufficient service when I arrived. Got the sideshow burger and a chocolate shake. The burger was delish! Juicy, saucy, cheesy, just the right size. Definitely satisfying. It came with fries on the side (or an upcharge for garlic fries, cheese fries, bacon, salad, etc.), which were pretty standard in quality and taste, nothing special but not bad. The shake was thick, in fact I had to wait for it to melt a little before I could even drink it. And they made me the wrong milkshake. It was chocolate and banana flavored. Don't get me wrong, I like banana, but it's not what I ordered. I was already home when I noticed the error, so I just drank what they gave me. Though I got my order to go, the outdoor setting at the eatery was inviting and had a lot of character, with plenty of spaced out seating for enjoying a meal on site. Free and easy street parking too, on a Saturday evening. read more

Had the Sideshow Burger at Sideshow Kitchen and it was delicious. The burger was packed with flavor and definitely hit the spot. One recommendation though: ask them to cut it in half because it makes it so much easier to eat. Would definitely come back! read more

Food - ordered the good burger without cheese, bbq wings and lemon pepper wings. FOOD WAS SO FREAKIN GOOD! bun was lightly toasted, flavor of patty was tasty and wings were super fresh. Sideshow Kitchen - good burger, no cheese, super tasty - Burgers Near Me - Oakland, California

My boyfriend has been trying to find the best spicy chicken sandwich spot to replace Hot Bird (originally in sf but moved to Oakland and closed) and heart great reviews about this place. We ordered a hyphy chicken sandwich and the original good burger (single patty). Even though it was busy, food came out fast so that's always a plus! We both preferred the good burger more than the hyphy chicken sandwich and regret not getting a double patty. The meat was so well seasoned that it was such a classic burger. If they didn't use 2 chicken thigh cutlets to make the chicken sandwich, we might've enjoyed this more. The hypyh chicken sandwich was so saucey that it masked the chicken thigh and made it soggy. My bf and I both agree this isn't a classic spicy chicken sandwich and prefer other places. Service was super nice. The cashier working that day and the women bringing out our food was super friendly. Would come back just for the burger! read more

Omg this burger spot is the shiznit. The order taker was polite and made recommendations that hit. The food was spot on delicious with the exception of the chicken salad (salt for chicken or dress that chicken the way you dress them wings!!). Who orders a chicken salad at A burger joint anyways?!?! Give it a try you will be pleasantly pleased. Music is nostalgic 90s Bay Areaaaaaaaaaa bangers. read more

Burgers are amazinnnnnnnng!! And their teriyaki wings are my fav! The owner is always nice and I always see him when I pick up my food.

The habanero sauce on the wings was tasteless, no kick, just sweet goo. Fries were good, asked for extra crispy. read more

I have been eating here since 2020 and it sustained me during the height of the pandemic. I lived close and used to go like 2-3 times a week. . I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and it's always good. Visited about a week ago and had the best sideshow burger and banana shake yet. It was so so so good. In fact over the years the food had gotten better, and when does that happen? The service is great and vibes are always chill. So glad they survived the pandemic!!! read more

Nice set up. Safe neighborhood. Staff is very kind which I appreciated. Love them. Been here twice. Burger was amazing the first time and so so the following time. The sauces are great, everything the burger has going on works. Will try again. Haven't tried the chicken sandwich bc it's dark meat. Fries...so crisp and flavored!!!! Mango lemonade is amazing. This place is definitely worth visiting multiple times. read more

I tend to eat burgers, and theirs are seriously good. My sneaker hit though is the salmon salad. Grilled to perfection, supported by the freshest lettuce, with dressing to die for. Today it is paired with a perfect Line 51 Pilsner - hits the spot for a summer day. Owner operated, with attention to detail, and a passion that is absolutely conveyed through their cooking. read more

No frills burger stop where the milkshakes are my favorite. Full of flavor and made with real ice cream. They also have delicious burgers well-packed with toppings. I had the single patty Good Burger, which is quite filling, but for those a little hungrier, they should absolutely try the Sideshow. Their fries are right in between crispy and soft, but note that their garlic fries come with a lot of fresh raw garlic on top. They have a lovely outdoor dining area with plenty of heaters and roof cover. Plenty of picnic tables to sit on and fast delivery times. Staff are friendly and patient as we stared up at the menu. read more

Phenomenal. My wife was craving a burger and we had recently tried their new concept Sideshow Express which we loved so we decided to give the OG location a try. We each got their signature burger, garlic fries and split a salad. Everything was delicious. The burger was perfectly seasoned, juicy and fresh with plenty of veggies. The garlic fries were crisp and flavorful and the salad was large with chick peas and plenty of veggies. They have patio seating only which is no problem as there are plenty of heat lamps, a roof and two TVs for watching games. The service was prompt and nice. Can't wait to come back. read more

Umm not good at all. Went for dinner with a friend who suggested this place. He got a burger and I got the hyphy chicken sandwich (spicy). The chicken has a burnt bland flavorless taste , it also came with them frozen fries nobody wants. My opinion way overrated would not go back. I also tried he's burger which was okay but still better than the chicken sandwich. Great out door sitting area, and pet friendly. read more

I will never stop raving about this spot! It's the perfect place for a classic burger and fries, or wings with insane flavor. I had the best lemon pepper wings I've ever had here. The homemade ranch was the cherry on top. You have to try the LEMON PEPPER WINGS!! The burger also shmackin' with a great house sauce and two flavorful patties with all the goods. Today 8//27 between 12:30 pm and 1pm Very disappointing customer service. I had a very disappointing experience with the customer service at Sideshow. I was in town for work and needed to place a quick phone order for pickup so I could get back to work. Since this was my first time ordering from the restaurant, I called to ask about a chicken sandwich and what came with it. The employee who answered seemed overwhelmed and told me to look at the menu online. I explained that I was driving to the restaurant and was unfamiliar with the menu, so I was simply trying to get a quick answer before placing my order. Her tone came across as dismissive and unfriendly, and I did not feel like my question was being treated reasonably. When I asked for her name, she hung up on me and told me she was busy taking orders and that I should look online instead of offering to place me on hold. In my experience, that is not an appropriate way to handle a customer who is simply trying to place an order. We are new to the bay and will be looking for other restaurants that can cater lunch onsite elsewhere. We take customer service serious. read more

Saw this on my Reels for a while and decided to give it a try. Service was amazing. Menu is clear and to the point with many different options. It's all outdoors with just the right amount of seating. There's covered seating as well as uncovered! We had the Good Burger with fries and the buffalo wings with cheese fries. The strawberry milkshake was thick and creamy. I love also that they have Pepsi and Starry!!!! read more

The last time I came here I got my order to go and when I ate the food I felt that I didn't get the true essence of the meal since it was eaten an hour later. This time I ordered to eat at the spot. I will definitely return soon to try something different. read more

Casual burger spot paying homage to Bay culture. Love the vibe! Outdoor seating, partially covered, a couple TVs in case you want to catch a game. Counter service with friendly staff. I was impressed by the garlic parmesan wings, honestly, potentially the best garlic parm wings I have ever had. I would go back just for them. Unfortunately, the burger didn't compare. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with it, it was fresh, juicy, but it was pretty bland, even with the sauces they said it came with. I also got a banana chocolate milkshake which was delicious and perfect blend of chocolate and banana. read more

Sideshow Kitchen was the first spot I tried when I moved to the Bay, and it's still one of my favorites. The vibe is relaxed, family- and dog-friendly, and they usually have a game on, which makes it a great hangout spot. The Hyphy Fried Chicken Sandwich is a must -- crispy fried chicken with housemade coleslaw, roasted jalapeño, Hyphy hot sauce, honey mustard, and sideshow aioli, all served with fries. It's packed with flavor and never disappoints. Another favorite is the Sideshow Burger, stacked with double cheeseburger patties, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, SS aioli, and their signature "Good Burger" sauce -- also served with fries. Don't skip the shakes, and if you can't make it in, you can even order online for delivery. Delicious food, welcoming vibe, and consistently good -- can't go wrong with Sideshow! read more

Yoooooooooooooooooo!! This joint is on fire. Single patty Burger was think, juicy, perfect with grilled onions. Got some Nashville Honey hot wings, fries, and each was absolutely EXCELLENT!! We were very surprised with the ratings compared to the food we had here. I had the classic chicken sandwich with fries. My partner had the good burger with the garlic cheese fries. The classic chicken sandwich had two patties and was freshly fried. But I can't say there was much flavor in the aioli or the chicken. And there was too much chicken in my opinion (two patties as opposed to one). My partner thought the same thing with his burger not having much flavor either. However, the garlic in his garlic cheese fries were overpowering and was very garlicky. I think the portions are generous, which might make a lot of people might like this place. But when it comes to the nuance of the flavors of the sauces, we've had better. We are not in a rush to come back here even though the staff is pretty nice. You order at the counter first and then someone calls out your name and order and brings it to you. There's plenty of street parking on the Main Street and in the neighborhood area nearby. read more

If you're looking for fire burgers and wings in a chill, low-key spot, Sideshow Kitchen is it! Now let's talk about the wings easily some of the best in Oakland I've had this place twice and this time around the wings were more lemony. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and FULL of flavor. The Don't sleep on the ranch either it's homemade and bomb. Service is great also very nice read more

This could very well be a blue collar workers' institution. From the back, It looks like a dilapidated homeless shelter if you drive by it and just glance. But inside, it is a industrial sprawl with amazing food! The front looks like a painting supply shop so it is easy to miss or mistaken. First time here on a recommendation from a colleague. I can report that this is EASILY my new vote for Best Spicy Chicken Sandwich in Oakland leapfrogging ahead of Hot Boys by City Hall and Uptown's Hot Bird. I ordered via Grubhub. There is a pick up line and they called my name out before I figured out the system. Love the reliable no nonsense messing around service here. I now know where to go when I am starving. 5/5 without a doubt. PS-add garlic to your garlic fries: you will not regret it. read more

Great atmosphere, but the service left us in the cold. I really wanted to love this place because the Bay Area music and family-friendly concept are spot on. While the "Hyphy Sandwich" was a hit, the rest of the food was underwhelming for the price; the burger was thin and meat was dry, and the fries were overcooked. The 1-star rating is primarily for the service. We sat by the only heater, which ran out of propane within five minutes. After telling the staff, we were told it would be fixed "right back," but we were then ignored for the rest of the meal. No one ever came back to check on us or even say "hey sorry we ran out of propane " .. We just waited and waited... ended up shivering while eating and rushing our kids to finish just so we could get to the warm car. Since this is a great outdoor spot with potential for alot of people to hang out at night - suggesting Better communication and a backup supply of propane would go a long way here. I'd suggest the management invest in more heaters and a reliable propane supply to ensure guests can actually enjoy the environment they've created. Just saying, Feeling ignored and uncomfortable is just cold! read more

It was ok for a single person @$19 for the Good Burger /Garlic Fries & drink . The location is cute the service was great. The burger was a bit light on the seasoning for me . We went there today. I had the grilled chicken burger and hubby had the double burger. My grilled chicken was amazing the chicken was seasoned perfectly and so juicy!!! Hubby liked his burger too.
