What a fun, tasty spot on the side of the road! Sideshow Kitchen is a perfect spot to fix your cravings for burgers, chicken, and more! And what a perfect name for the restaurant :) Always drove by this place curious and so happy to finally stop in! My friends and I parked about a block away as there is not much parking available right at the restaurant (since it is a shack popped up right near a residential location ahah). We walked over and took our order at the window. The staff was super patient as we deliberated and finally made our decisions. I ordered the Hot Honey BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Garlic Fries and wow, it was so good! The chicken was so crisp and juicy and it was a double chicken sandwich! Was not expecting that at all!! My mouth is watering writing this review currently, it was really that good. High quality and full of flavor. I love how the honey and slaw balanced with the spice of the chicken. Super great! Garlic fries were also very good. Good quality and super loaded with garlic and cheese, exactly what I look for when getting garlic fries. Seating is all outdoor in this little covered up sort of set up. It's a vibe and was great with catching up with my friends! Very chill, no frills. Love this spot a lot. Will definitely return! I have to make my way through this menu eventually. read more

Great burgers, great chicken, great drinks. Food is great, atmosphere is great, quiet some nights but can get a little busy on local game days. Good place to watch the Dubs. Polite service, nice location. read more

This is a great burgers and wings with outdoor seating so you can bring your fur babies

Came here and ordered a burger, chicken sandwich, and some wings. Both the Sideshow Burger & Hyphy Chicken sandwich were pretty decent but nothing crazy. The fries were also a bit disappointing unfortunately overly crispy and a bit dry in the middle. Without a doubt the star of the show were the wings. The lemon pepper was definitely more lemony than your avg lemon pepper and was an actual sauce instead of a dry rub. If I ever come back it'll fasho be for the wings. 7.3/10 Chicken Sandwich 7.6/10 Burger 4/10 Fries 8.7/10 Wings read more

Food was really really good. I had a salad with chicken and my friend had a burger with fries. Everything was super yummy and we didn't wait long. Granted we got there when they opened. Plenty of outdoor seating and a few heaters, but if it's cool out, bring a jacket. Super friendly staff too. read more

I like everything about Sideshow Kitchen. It's a nice casual outdoor eatery with benches throughout for modest sized groups. A clean restroom in back. A flat screen tv near the front was playing the Clippers vs Mavs playoff game on this particular Sunday afternoon. Simple menu with something for everyone, burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, fries, shakes, beers, etc. I ended up ordering: Sideshow burger - Double cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, ss aioli & "Good Burger" sauce. Excellent burger. It's maybe a slight step behind TrueBurger but it is neck and neck. Hyphy Fried Chicken Sandwich- Fried chicken, housemade coleslaw, roasted jalapeño, Hyphy hot sauce, honey mustard & sideshow aioli. This was the star of the show. This chicken sandwich hit the spot. Delicious. And if you like chicken sandwiches, you'll like this one. Fries came with both sandwiches and the fries are crispy and flavorful. Chocolate shake: I wish I could be real descriptive but it's thick, chocolate, and just good. Service was friendly, a really great staff working at sideshow kitchen. Food preparation is fast and the food comes out hot. Not much to dislike at SideShow Kitchen. But a ton of things to like about it. read more

Yum! No seriously YUM! I don't eat burgers and fries much, trying to watch my diet but this is my go to cheat place. The burgers are cooked right, good seasoning. I could write a dissertation about how amazing the fries are but I won't bore you. The milkshake was amazing The people are nice. I'm happy to overtip here read more

This place is a cool outdoor seating restaurant. The staff was friendly as they waited for us to order. They play Bay Area music which I really enjoyed, definitely a fun place. The hyphy chicken sandwich was super good and highly recommend. It's a little spicy. After trying the sandwich, I was almost sad I chose a grilled chicken salad trying to be all healthy but the salad so amazing. Very herby and lots of texture, I used both dressings I liked them. The garlic fries were great, very garlicky. The Arnold Palmer was tasty and free refills. This place is a gem read more

I had the hyphy fried chicken sandwich (as shown in the video) and my partner had the veggie burger. I enjoyed my sandwich but I barely tasted any hot sauce so I do wish it packed more of a spicy punch as advertised. I also like that fries are served with the sandwich because it is pricey so you get more for your buck on that note. My partner didn't like his veggie burger too much. It was edible but he said it taste like a frozen patty he had previously. I'd eat here again & try something different off the menu next time. read more

We have been trying to come to sideshow for the past 2 years but unfortunately we kept messing up the times and the days they were closed but finally, FINALLY we made it! We are so happy to report we were not disappointed in the least! Food was delicious, the service was impeccable especially for a small outside hole in the wall vibe type of place. Staff was so friendly and helped with recommending items. And honestly it was super clean outside and the restroom too which had a lot of character just like the establishment. The cheeseburger had gray flavors. Unfortunately my chicken sandwich seemed a little unseasoned in comparison but it didn't stop me from finishing it. The garlic fries were so ooy and gooy we really liked them. We will be back again soon! Thanks side show for the great food and service! read more

res. Food is just always gone before I can usually take them or I forget to. This time I came for wings and got 3 dozen wings to slam down, Bbq wings, lemon pepper, and garlic parm. They sauce them but it's never overkill it's a perfect balance on the flavors and not overpowering. Wings can be somewhat crispy with it but I feel can be a bit more crispy to get that snap. I also got the cheese fries to try. I like them but I won't get them again as the regular fries with whatever seasoning is places on them taste the best to me and is also crispy at the same time. The burgers are great to well made juicy and flavorful. Had the Mexicali, the good burger and the sideshow burger all were great. The only difference was the amount of patties and the Mexicali. The Mexicali is more spicy because of the peppers but it's also well balanced with the sauce having a slight tang taste to pair off with the spice and flavors from the meat. The salmon burger is my man goto as it's just of the chain for me a different amount of flavors packed into every bite. For salmon to be juicy in a patty for is not the usual from most places but they get it done the right way much appreciated! Last but not least had 2 lemonades the mango and the blueberry. Both were flavorful. Service was friendly and as the brought the food to us they made sure we were set with anything we needed before they left that's a plus in my books. The area outside will be hard to park when they are packed but once you do find it it's all good go early for best parking times.inside they're is plenty of seating with kind of a diner vibe but a western outback vibe mixed together. On the walls you'll see graffiti art as well as license plates with different names and designs on them. The wood style gives it the western homestyle vibe as you sit and enjoy. As always I will come back again and I recommend others who hasn't given them a try to go ahead and stop let yourself explore something new! read more

They go dumb go dumb at the sideshow Growing up in North Oakland I remember when this island was nothing (an empty nothing). When I find something I like, it's hard af to keep me away. My go to is the chicken sandwich or the fried chicken salad but today I order the wings and cheese fries and of course, IT WAS A HIT. Food is always fresh and hot. Wow! Hyphy chicken sandwich - large, juicy stacked chicken, lightly crispy batter and slightly sweet and spicy sauce that I wish was more prominent. The deep fried jalapeño in there though that is what makes it though! The slaw was standard and it was on a burger bun that kinda got gummy, I'd prefer brioche Garlic fries - super crispy, Hella garlic and even a Lil Cajun seasoning, these were excellent and some of the best garlicky garlic fries I had Service was Hella nice and welcoming at the window ( I ordered to go) Atmosphere was chill, like a backyard cookout with benches I'll have to try their wings next time and maybe cheesy garlic fries! Definitely recommend! read more

Sideshow Burger is easily one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently great, but the manager is the real standout. He is so professional, confident, and considerate. You can tell he's passionate about the business because he ensures every guest leaves happy. If you ever need anything, the team is quick to help and truly goes the extra mile. Highly recommend for the food and the amazing leadership! read more

First time here! Local hangout ! I thought this was in Berkley! Tucked on a street corner, I will never found this if it wasn't for my friend who live near by, its on it's own on this corner so you have to plan to come here to get here otherwise you wont find it. You order at the counter from the board, they have a couple of crazy looking burgers. The seating is on a patio so it will be cold on a cold day, there is no indoor seating. The burgers were very nice cooked medium rare and Juicy. The fries are a big hit for me very nicely made and tasty and fresh, step up from IN-N-OUT differnt style, loved it. Parking is easy on the street. Service is fast and friendly. If you love burgers it's a definatly worth to try. read more

This place has a cool vibe and plenty of seating. This wouldn't be a place I go to again, I got the chicken wings and cheese fries. Super underwhelming food, it was like typical frozen food through in the fryer. The cheese fries were horrible, it was a flavorless cheese it was weird it was like see through watery nothing you wanted to eat. The wings were just as bad with a weird lemon pepper taste, and the buffalo sauce was weird too. Kinda like they used generic items for flavor. But I will say the customer service was a 10, the lady at the window was helpful and patient. I think they just need some tasters, or I could just be over critical. I didn't get to take pictures of my food. It wasn't much to look at lol read more

We came to try to is place out since it was recommended to us. We ordered the good burger and the spicy fried chicken sandwich along with the garlic cheese fries. The burger was just OK not much seasoning to it little overcooked and it wasn't a smash tight burger at all. The ratio for the burger to bread was really good and the bun was soft. The spicy fried chicken sandwich wasn't spicy at all. They barely was any sauce on it. What made it spicy were the jalapeños only, but they gave you plenty of chicken for the sandwich and the chicken was tender. The garlic cheese fries were good very garlic like. The service was good and it was plenty of space to sit down outside and they have heaters. Also, the cost is a little expensive. I really wanted to give more starts since I was excited for the place. read more

Nice place with friendly service. I loved the layout of the restaurant. There was plenty of seating and all spread out. The burgers looked amazing but were smaller than I expected. I took my first bite and was quite underwhelmed. The burger was put together nicely and had plenty of sauce but for some reason it just lacked flavor. I'll probably try again another time. Maybe it was an off day. read more

Very tasty and huge chicken wings. A nice variety of sauces to choose from flavor them. I will come back here for the wings for sure.

The food is just your typical greasy hamburger and chicken wings menu, only it takes them forever to prepare it, and they're just as likely to get it wrong as right. Tonight while I waited over half an hour for my takeout order, I watched people get the wrong order several times. If you walk in and there's a line and they look busy, just don't bother. This is when they screw up the most -- when it takes the longest. Also, they are very inconsistent about how they deliver -- or don't -- the food to the tables. Sometimes they just yell it out inside one of the ordering windows and sometimes they take the tray out and look for the little plastic number they've given you -- and other times, even when they said they will, they don't. Also, don't go when they're busy if you don't like noise and you don't like children running around. This place used to be really, really good under the previous management. These guys are clearly over their heads. read more

Burger was good.. Beer was good. Everything on the menu sounded good. I heard other patrons saying their food was good. Staff was cool . Outdoor patio was dope and clean. At least 3 TVs were going. The service was awful and I didn't expect to encounter staff with attitudes. This is my second time here and I wanted to give it another try after getting the salmon salad which was terrible. This time my bacon on my burger was so gummy I didn't want to finish it. No flavor. Milkshake was warm when it was handed to me. Just awful and disappointing. read more

It's OKAY, I got the sideshow burger with bacon and it still needed more cheese more flavor. More sauce more cheese more seasoning on the meat. The pics from the owner on Yelp was a bit deceiving because it ain't that much cheese and sauce on the burger. The fries needed more flavor as well and was not a fan of the Nashville Honey hot wings nor the Parmesan wings. I was excited to try sideshow and was a bit let down. I was ready for a flavor party in my mouth and didn't get that. I would be back if the burgers can have more cheese and sauce on the burger and salt. read more

THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF EXPERIENCE EVER. Example of why tipping before receiving service should be illegal: Megan the shift lead (if that is her real name) was very rude when handling my mothers refund on Thursday 8/27 at around 5:30pm. She waited 30mins for an Oreo milkshake that came out twice WRONG. She watched 3 people receive their food AND drinks before her who ordered after her and the "mistake" milkshakes went to them. Which seems like they were maybe meant for them in the first place. The process of asking for a refund had to be handled by Megan (probably because she was the shift lead) and Megan was the one coincidentally making the shake so it seemed almost as a "stalling" tactic to not receive her refund. When Megan finally arrived with the shake she dramatically threw it in the trash and exclaimed my mother should have told her she wanted a refund earlier... how could she have... ??? She said quote "you don't HAVE to tip, that's your choice" when my mother then asked for her refund plus the tip due to obvious reasons of BAD service. Can't wait to tell everyone not to come here unless they want to be treated very poorly after spending over 40$ on two mediocre meals as well before ordering the shake.(had better experiences at hyphy burger btw! If you haven't gone, you should try it :) ) read more

The burgers and fries were bland. It's overrated in my opinion. The place is nice though.

I hardly ever leave 5 stars however, this place deserves all the stars! My husband has been raving about this place so he finally dragged me along and I'm happy he did. When we arrived it was on the corner and you walk up to the register to order from outside, the guy taking the order was very serious and direct but it was something pleasant about him. I ordered the salmon burger with the raspberry pineapple lemonade and fries. My husband ordered the sideshow burger with wings and fries. We sat down outside in a fenced in area and they brought our food to us when it was ready. The presentation of the burgers is beautiful okay, once I took a bite of my burger I was in heaven, the texture, the flavor even the coleslaw and I hate coleslaw but I ate it that day and it was delicious. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever tasted lol. The wings were very good, it had a spicy after taste which I loved. The lemonades were alright, only because I wanted more raspberry flavor then pineapple flavor but it was still good. Bonus! The owner was very inviting and friendly, you can tell customer service is very important to him! This is our new burger spot! Please check it out! read more

Food: my partner got the chicken sandwich which he seemed to really enjoy so I think the burgers and sandwiches here are the move. But I got the garlic fried with cheese which reminded me of in n out animal style fries (but with garlic fries instead) and I thought the cheese was gonna be shredded parm, not nacho cheese. I unfortunately didn't like my side order very much but will come back to try other menu items. The ambiance is dope though, lots of art to see, and cozy airy outdoor seating. read more

I like the food here. Very savory. -My Sister To be honest, I was a tad bit skeptical when I first got there. Perhaps it was because I had a sore throat at the time. Anyhow, we order our food. I got the kids burger and some wings. Our food was served quickly and seemed very fresh. Due to my sore throat, I couldn't enjoy the food much, so I'll instead talk about the later time(s) I went with my family. The food was delicious! I loved the Garlic Parmesan wings, and the burger was also good. The service is also quick, and the people who take your order are very kind and patient! The ambiance is nice and relaxing. What a perfect place to go when you're craving a burger and fries! I came to Sideshow Kitchen on a sunny day for lunch. Their seating is all outdoors but it is all covered overhead. It is also dog friendly, and I loved seeing all the dogs roaming around with their owners!! I ordered the Sideshow burger (which comes with fries) and a dozen wings (half buffalo jerk, half lemon pepper). Everything was amazing. Not very good. I ordered my burger medium well and it was pink inside when I got home. The bun was completely flat and squished. I didn't find the burger to have much flavor either. I definitely didn't think it was worth the price. read more

First coming to this place it seems very promising. Lotta viral videos led me me here. Got garlic fries, wings with lemon pepper and buffalo mix, kids cheeseburger and regular fries for my kid. The service was good, the food came out pretty quickly and was fresh and hot. But let's get down to the flavor. I sampled the kids burger and it was literally no seasoning I will attribute it to being because it's for kids but it was so charred my daughter wouldn't eat it. The fries were pretty standard frozen fries, basic seasoning on them but lack luster. The garlic fries were okay, same fried with a scoop of garlic on them. Basic, The wings were nice and crispy but lacked lots of flavor. The flavor comes from the lemon pepper and buffalo that you have to keep tossing after every bite because the wing inside itself was not seasoned. The ranch was good, I would rate that high. read more
