This place might have become my favorite fast-casual burger joint in Oakland. Since my first review, I've enjoyed their food three more times -- in person once and DoorDash twice. And it's been satisfying and well worth it all three times. I recommend both dining in and delivery. You cannot go wrong with their double burger. The smashed patties are perfectly cooked and seasoned. The supporting elements are quality and executed spot-on each time: the cheese, grilled onions, and mayo. It's a perfect fast casual burger. I also recently tried the Chopped Beef burger and dang it was amazing. The hearty meat and cheese the and buttery bread texture hit hard. This will be another go-to and I recommend it. For sides I've gotten tator tots, regular fries, and season fries. All fantastic and they're generous with the portions. HOWEVER -- you've gotta get the seasoned fries. Addictive and finger-licking amazing. When dining in staff is always friendly. Area's not too busy and you'll always find parking easily down a side street. And price wise it honestly feels like a steal for me given the care and quality and pure satisfaction. Works for me though -- I'm going to keep ordering from this place. Came here on a Saturday for an early dinner and it wasn't busy at all. It's located in a Main Street where there's a small lot where you can park or find street parking. This is a Korean fusion burger spot. Its interior is hip and colorful. For the food, I tried the K-chicken burger and a bite of the Wagyu burger. The k-chicken burger was my favorite! The meat was tender and had a lot of flavor. The Wagyu burger ($20) could have been better to be honest. Tasted like any burger so I don't think it was worth the price. Fairly late Friday night, we decided to stop in because the other place we wanted to go to was closed. I remembered driving by this place and we decided to go. The phone was ringing consistently, there were a few other people in the restaurant. The employee behind the counter was running around like mad. He eventually took our order, took a couple minutes, but we are patient and understanding people. I think it was just him and maybe one or 2 people in the kitchen. The menu looked so good. Recently tried Oh G Burger with a group of friends and I was impressed with their offerings. I ended up going with the breakfast burrito which was packed full of toppings and filling. I do think some type of additional sauce could take it to the next level, but I settled for tapatio. My friends ordered some tots and spicy chicken for the table. The chicken was crispy and coated in a spicy powder. It was great when paired with their aoli dipping sauce! The menu at this spot is extensive and they've got everything ranging from burgers to Korean chicken. I am very tempted to come back and sample more of their items. John at the counter was super friendly and helpful in choosing what to order. I like spicy food but I also like not suffering, so I asked about their Buldak Chicken Burger. John told me honestly that it's insanely spicy. They make their own Buldak spicy sauce and he said he personally ensures it's as spicy as possible. Given that, I opted for the K-Chicken burger, as well as some Korean snacks and cheese curds. The boyfriend got the K-Chicken Burger Jr. and seasoned fries. K-Chicken Burger: Comically huge, which makes it a fun challenge to eat. Crunchy and flavorful. Shrimp toast: SO GOOD. Crispy, delicious shrimp squares. A must-get. Corn cheese: A miss for me. EVERY SINGLE ITEM IS A MUST TRY! I cannot believe every single food on the menu hit, even ones I thought I wouldn't like. It's a relatively small and cozy joint, with awesome art decor and great staff. They have two types of selections you can choose from: either Korean fried wings from Chimmelier or burgers from Oh G Burger. The Korean fried wings were so crispy and the flavors were so good. We went with butter honey and omfg spicy dry rub (which are flavors I usually don't get) and it was SO good and crispy. Even when we box leftovers and at it the next two days, IT STILL HIT and was crispy! The burgers, fries, and sandwiches all had a bit of Korean infused flavors and all were so good. I am not a huge kimchi fan so I didn't think I'd like the kimchi sandwich but omg that was fire. Everything else also tasted so good, I was so impressed. Stopped by today a little after 12pm. As soon as I walked in the man at the register welcomed me and said hello. I got the smash burger and also added a patty plus an order of onion rings. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, I placed it as a to go order. Packaged well and extremely fresh, everything was hot and delicious. Smashburger 10/10, you can tell the beef is good quality (as someone who has eaten a lot of burgers), seasoned very well and cooked perfectly, would definitely recommend Fries 10/10, crispy, nice, thin cut, and salted perfectly, and a good portion Onion rings 10/10, fresh, hot, good portion, love whatever batter they used and you can tell it's cooked in a fresh oil, very good and my sister was a big fan of the onion rings Service 10/10, such a nice friendly worker, kind to me and also every other customer who walked in while I was there. Originally ordered from this place via DoorDash and it was so good so I decided to go back to the restaurant itself. We ordered a single smashburger, a double smashburger, french fries, crispy wings as is, and ordered one of each of the dipping sauces (housemade ranch, kimchi thousand island, yang yum, hot yang yum, rosé, mala). These were some of the best smash burgers i've had in the bay, perfectly cooked and well seasoned on a delicious brioche bun. If you are craving a smashburger I would definitely recommend this place! The fries were also really good thin and perfectly crispy on the outside and went really well with the dipping sauces. The crispy wings were so good and also some of my favorite korean fried chicken wings. Wings were also so crispy and well seasoned standalone but also taste good with the dipping sauces. Dipping sauces were good but my favorite was definitely the housemade ranch and kimchi thousand island. I also think you wouldn't be missing out if you skipped hot yang yum and mala. Ambiance was cool, very bright and colorful in there and the front of house staff was really on it! He was working alone and did a really good job of taking care of everything from orders to distributing food and checking in with customers. Oh G Burger has great food and great service! I've been 4-5 times now and have enjoyed the smash burgers immensely. The house sauce is not my favorite but I always get it on the side because my partner likes it. The fries are classic and delicious. I have noticed they are very attentive to substitutes/changes to menu items. I especially love their milkshakes. The vanilla is completely unique, as it tastes like a sugar cone is blended in. I'm also a fan of the oreo and especially the chocolate, which is rich and addictive. There was an issue with their blender when I recently ordered a shake and I didn't realize till I got home that the taste was off. The owner, Dustin, was very responsive on Instagram and told me to come back for the next one free. I met the manager, and he was apologetic and made the new shake deliciously as always. Every time I've been, I've noticed that the staff are professional, friendly, and helpful. The manager was awesome and I will definitely be returning for more milkshakes and burgers! read more

Look out Oakland, there's a new burger in town! I consider myself a burger connesiuer and this smash burger stands out from everything else in Oakland. The paddy is made from ground ribeye which gives the burger a really rich umami flavor. Very savory and unique, unlike anything I've had before. I ordered the double, but next time I might just order a single. It comes on nice brioche bun with pickles and grilled onions (extra for lettuce...) but the whole package delivers a nice subtle Korean twist on the American staple. Love having so many options for two of my favorite foods in one location: Smashburgers and wings! The onion rings could use some improvement however; they're not as light, crispy, and well-seasoned as the Montclair location. I've ordered from Oh G Burger 4-5 times now and had a mix of experiences. The first time, the burger and bun were so soggy they completely fell apart after a few bites. Since then, the burgers have been relatively tasty, but the extra $1 charge for basics like lettuce, onion, and tomato feels off-putting, and $10 for a decent (but not amazing) milkshake is excessive -- even accounting for a premium location and the crazy inflation lately. Spending around $50 for two burgers with fries or tots feels steep, though the quality is generally good. That said, the repeated issues with missing ingredients are irksome. Twice now, they've had to refund me for key items -- once for bacon, which they called about after the order was placed, and more recently for both turkey on a Cobb salad and tater tots. A burger spot running out of bacon and tots speaks to poor inventory management, and while they refunded me for them, I'd rather have the food I ordered.
