Came here on a Saturday for an early dinner and it wasn't busy at all. It's located in a Main Street where there's a small lot where you can park or find street parking. This is a Korean fusion burger spot. Its interior is hip and colorful. For the food, I tried the K-chicken burger and a bite of the Wagyu burger. The k-chicken burger was my favorite! The meat was tender and had a lot of flavor. The Wagyu burger ($20) could have been better to be honest. Tasted like any burger so I don't think it was worth the price. The sauces were tasty so I'd recommended paying that extra fee for the sauces.

WHEN: Sun @12:45pm PARKING: Surprisingly, there was a few open spots right outside. Meter says it was FREE maybe because it was Sunday. Inside there are plenty of seating with an awesome mural on the wall. This place is so hip, and the selection on the menu sounds fantastic--especially with the sides. Not much of a line when I went, but service was slow as it seems only one person (Jong) was working the front (I don't know how many in the back). I'm sure they were stressed scrambling taking all the orders. I did see a sign out front that says they are hiring! Okay, so here's what I ordered: K-CHICKEN BURGER - $15 Fried Chicken Patty, Oh G Cole Slaw, Pickled Onion, Sweet Gochujang, Oh G Sauce. The chicken patty was huge, and the flavors are good. Heck yeah I enjoyed this. Quite filling. ONION RINGS - $8 Very good, I'm so glad I ordered this! It was tempura battered, light, airy, crispy and came with a nice dipping sauce! My order also came with finger gloves! I need to come back and try other items on both menus--they all sound really good and sadly I have just one stomach the size of my tiny fist. No really it's a small one, I can fit it my mouth. Anyway, I really appreciate Jong being so friendly even though I'm sure it was not an easy day for him. He was patient, jolly, and helpful! See you again soon Jong!

Fairly late Friday night, we decided to stop in because the other place we wanted to go to was closed. I remembered driving by this place and we decided to go. The phone was ringing consistently, there were a few other people in the restaurant. The employee behind the counter was running around like mad. He eventually took our order, took a couple minutes, but we are patient and understanding people. I think it was just him and maybe one or 2 people in the kitchen. The menu looked so good. Each of us ordered way too much food, in all honesty, I wanted to order more. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Korean corn dogs. Smash burgers. Tteokbokki. Onion rings. Hot, fresh. Delicious. I think his name was Chris, manager maybe? Super nice. Can't wait to come back and order other items. Oh, and maybe get the burger and fry plushies. Are those for sale? I want them.

Super friendly service Clean retro diner interior What a menu! A good variety of burgers, sides, and Korean entrees to order...and all things you actually want to try. (Some restaurants have huge menus but nothing innovative or interesting) The fried chicken burger is a must try ! Features Unique Korean flavors that is definitely not your typical fried chicken sandwich from other places. Order it! Also their fries are to die for ! They come with a seasoning powder that seems like Cajun with a hint of sweetness. Really loved it The bulgogi burger was a bit lacking in flavor for me, and didn't leave much of an impression especially compared to my other food. Would definitely be back and recommend it to friends. Also just confirmed my suspicion that they are related to the ohgane restaurant, which totally makes sense that they know what they are doing

Recently tried Oh G Burger with a group of friends and I was impressed with their offerings. I ended up going with the breakfast burrito which was packed full of toppings and filling. I do think some type of additional sauce could take it to the next level, but I settled for tapatio. My friends ordered some tots and spicy chicken for the table. The chicken was crispy and coated in a spicy powder. It was great when paired with their aoli dipping sauce! The menu at this spot is extensive and they've got everything ranging from burgers to Korean chicken. I am very tempted to come back and sample more of their items. Overall, the food was good and the cashier/server was helpful. There's enough space to sit down there as well if you're down for a casual meal with friends.

3905 Broadway Oakland, CA 94611 New Business alert! "Oh G Burger" takes over the location of "K Street" in North Oakland. They just opened on Jan 27th, and they are in the soft opening phase. I was there on a Thursday evening. The staff was telling me all about this new location. The place has several tables, and a clean and colorful appearance. I ordered the Double Burger and Fries. The Double Burger comes with two patties on a toasted potato bun, caramelized onion, dill pickles, cheese and Oh G sauce. They charge extra for added toppings like lettuce and tomatoes. My order was ready in 5 mins. I took a bite of the Double Burger fresh from the kitchen. OMG it was good! Juicy, caramelized smash burger patties are just SO GOOD! Oh yeah, and the fries were good too. French fries fresh from the kitchen. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, lightly salted. Ketchup, napkins, and a fork were in the bag. Oh G Burgers are worth a try! BTW, they do have salads too. Located near 40th St & Broadway, two blocks from Kaiser Hospital.

(This is 2 restaurants with one kitchen, so this review has been cross-posted to Chimmelier.) Great spot, with friendly service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. No wait on a Wednesday at lunch. It was easy to find metered street parking right outside, but it might be more challenging at busy times. Fairly spacious dining space inside. John at the counter was super friendly and helpful in choosing what to order. I like spicy food but I also like not suffering, so I asked about their Buldak Chicken Burger. John told me honestly that it's insanely spicy. They make their own Buldak spicy sauce and he said he personally ensures it's as spicy as possible. Given that, I opted for the K-Chicken burger, as well as some Korean snacks and cheese curds. The boyfriend got the K-Chicken Burger Jr. and seasoned fries. K-Chicken Burger: Comically huge, which makes it a fun challenge to eat. Crunchy and flavorful. Shrimp toast: SO GOOD. Crispy, delicious shrimp squares. A must-get. Corn cheese: A miss for me. Too sweet, but at least you get a huge portion. Seasoned fries: Also amazing. Tons of sweet Korean seasoning that made for a wonderful side to our burgers. Cheese curds: Delicious and perfect, especially with their house-made KTI sauce (Korean Thousand Island). We were also happy with the value for our money - you get A LOT of food for a price that doesn't break the bank.

EVERY SINGLE ITEM IS A MUST TRY! I cannot believe every single food on the menu hit, even ones I thought I wouldn't like. It's a relatively small and cozy joint, with awesome art decor and great staff. They have two types of selections you can choose from: either Korean fried wings from Chimmelier or burgers from Oh G Burger. The Korean fried wings were so crispy and the flavors were so good. We went with butter honey and omfg spicy dry rub (which are flavors I usually don't get) and it was SO good and crispy. Even when we box leftovers and at it the next two days, IT STILL HIT and was crispy! The burgers, fries, and sandwiches all had a bit of Korean infused flavors and all were so good. I am not a huge kimchi fan so I didn't think I'd like the kimchi sandwich but omg that was fire. Everything else also tasted so good, I was so impressed. My friends got the breakfast burrito that I didn't try but they swear it's the best breakfast burrito they've had haha. Overall, great service, awesome vibes, and amazing food. 10/10 would come back and I've recommended this place to my friends!

Stopped by today a little after 12pm. As soon as I walked in the man at the register welcomed me and said hello. I got the smash burger and also added a patty plus an order of onion rings. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, I placed it as a to go order. Packaged well and extremely fresh, everything was hot and delicious. Smashburger 10/10, you can tell the beef is good quality (as someone who has eaten a lot of burgers), seasoned very well and cooked perfectly, would definitely recommend Fries 10/10, crispy, nice, thin cut, and salted perfectly, and a good portion Onion rings 10/10, fresh, hot, good portion, love whatever batter they used and you can tell it's cooked in a fresh oil, very good and my sister was a big fan of the onion rings Service 10/10, such a nice friendly worker, kind to me and also every other customer who walked in while I was there. Food was great and will definitely be back the next time I'm craving a burger. Excited to try their milkshake next time! They also have a ton of other menu items that sound really good as well.

Good burger. The Oh G Smashburger comes with pickles and grilled onions. Super delicious and juicy burger with the cheese and Oh G sauce. Oh, I almost took off a point because the fries weren't that good. But they also had some Parliament Funkadelic playing, and that funk bumped it back up. Basic fast food interior with a good amount of seating. In most neighborhoods this would easily be the best burger place, but there's stiff competition nearby.

I got the bulgogi burger. It was pricey but a perfect burger in my opinion. The patty had a nice smokey char, it was juicy, and the flavor was delicious. The pickled onions and the ssamjang aioli paired very well with beef. The workers are nice and the vibes are chill and casual. I would definitely come again.

Originally ordered from this place via DoorDash and it was so good so I decided to go back to the restaurant itself. We ordered a single smashburger, a double smashburger, french fries, crispy wings as is, and ordered one of each of the dipping sauces (housemade ranch, kimchi thousand island, yang yum, hot yang yum, rosé, mala). These were some of the best smash burgers i've had in the bay, perfectly cooked and well seasoned on a delicious brioche bun. If you are craving a smashburger I would definitely recommend this place! The fries were also really good thin and perfectly crispy on the outside and went really well with the dipping sauces. The crispy wings were so good and also some of my favorite korean fried chicken wings. Wings were also so crispy and well seasoned standalone but also taste good with the dipping sauces. Dipping sauces were good but my favorite was definitely the housemade ranch and kimchi thousand island. I also think you wouldn't be missing out if you skipped hot yang yum and mala. Ambiance was cool, very bright and colorful in there and the front of house staff was really on it! He was working alone and did a really good job of taking care of everything from orders to distributing food and checking in with customers. All in all a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

If you can't decide on Korean or burger, then this your spot!! The burgers are super tasty and the sides are so yummy! If you like Spicy juicy KBBQ pork, then the Ohgane Burger is for you. It's like having KBbq, but on a burger. So good! Their tasty Impossible Burger for those who are vegetarian or vegan. If you crave for Korean noodles like buldak, they have the machine that can cook noodles in 3 mins. Ps. Super friendly service!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when restaurants reduce the guality or quantity of their meal to cut costs while charging premium prices. I will say I didn't mind paying a few dollars more for their subs in the past. I went there today for the first time in a couple of years, ordered a regular size basic ruben sandwich (no add-ons) and was ok paying nearly $18 dollars for just the sandwich until they handed it to me. what I got was a small 6" sub. When did their subs shrink?? in this economy we are all struggling. I get it, things cost more but Craves' owner is not doing his patrons a service by charging them premiums while cutting back on the meals. It's a cute delicatessen/restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Immediately the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The woman at the register was very nice and asked if we had any questions. My mom and I shared a pastrami sandwich, Brussels sprouts, fries, and slaw. It was reasonably priced for the Bay Area. When they brought the food to the table I was shocked. Everything looked amazing and very appetizing, and the portions were much bigger than expected. Before she brought the sandwich over, she asked if we were sharing it and was so nice to split it into 2 plates for us. That was very kind for her to do. Let's start with the French fries. Omg they were perfectly crisp but still fluffy on the inside. They had so much flavor probably because of the beef tallow and had just the right amount of salt on them. There was a side of mayonnaise with the fries, and it tasted homemade. I meant to ask them if it was. It was very good lol I couldn't get enough. The poppyseed slaw was very refreshing and it was tangy and sweet. We loved that the cabbage remained crispy and it was great for a warm day. The fried Brussels sprouts were full of flavor. They were a nice balance of sweet and salty. I loved the bacon on them. The hot pastrami sandwich definitely satisfied my pastrami craving! There was just the right ratio of meat-cheese-sauerkraut-mustard-dressing. The bread tasted freshly baked as well. It was full of flavor. And the side salad that came with the sandwich was excellent. We loved the tanginess of the dressing. We were shocked that there wasn't more people inside, but also for 2pm on a Monday, it probably was just an off hour. We had so many leftovers as we both don't eat very much, but lol as soon as I got home I started eating some more of the slaw and salad. Can't wait to eat the rest for lunch tomorrow. We are already planning on coming back to try the meatballs next time and definitely trying their Indian cuisine! I'll have to bring my husband here next. Thank you guys for an amazing lunch!

It's a warm, crunchy roll, the chopped steak and cheese are perfect, and there's a salad next to it so you can take a bite of that while you're waiting for the next bit of your sandwich to cool down. Finally I thought, "OK, they really don't seem to want my business, so I can go to any one of 4 other places and get what I want." That was a year or two ago. So, today I thought, why not give it another try, it's certainly convenient. Again, I'm the only customer at the counter. One guy is washing equipment and two guys are making sandwiches. I know that they know that I'm there, there are mirrors all along the back wall exactly for the purpose of seeing the customers. After around 4 minutes I think, who knows how long I'm going to be standing here. Maybe they have to make 20 sandwiches and I'll be here for a half hour. So, I left. I don't have anything like this experience at the 4 other meat counters I go to in the area. I'm totally fine waiting if I have some sense that I'm waiting for a purpose and that the worker will get to me as soon as they can. But at Star Meat, it feels like I'm more of an inconvenience than a customer. "Hi, I'll be with you as soon as I can," goes a long way.

Glad we were able to track them down cause their sandwiches look so basic in pics but are so darn good. The market is cool too but I'm always gonna start by bee lining it to the deli in back of the shop to order one of their daily sandwiches. They make 3 flavors each day. 18$ a pop. Delicious.

Want a free sandwich?…read more Complete this puzzle and it's all yours! The pastrami sandwich here is sooooo good I actually ordered two of them. This is the first place in the world that had me eating rye. I hate rye bread, and was worried because there are no substitutions, but the sandwiches here were so good and the bread didn't taste like the traditional prison food hard rye bread. You changed me Krispy Joe's, and had me eating stuff I never would have. Also, drinking stuff I never would have. I bought their chai and lemonade, both were 5 stars, and they offered me their pickle juice electrolyte drink to try. I was skeptical at first, but again they made me a believer. I hate pickle juice and pickle flavored anything in general. Yet, they converted me once again when they offered me a sample of their pickle-aid. It tasted like a mild tasting plain Gatorade. If I were still training for a marathon, I would totally buy this! Back to their amazing sandwiches. They are made with such care, dusting every sandwich that's made to order with their secret spices while toasting the meat and bread. The slaw was fresh and herbaceous. Again, made with care and craftsmanship. I am rooting for this business to expand and take over Ike's Sandwiches. I believe in you Krispy Joe's, you have my vote!

Finally found a good pastrami sandwich to satisfy the craving. Krispy Joes is a small coffee shop…read morein Emeryville on San Pablo Ave. that also has some delish pastrami sandwiches. You might want a cup of joe afterwards, so you don't fall into a food coma. Loved the OG sandwiche w/ pastrami, melted Swiss, coleslaw and thousand island dressing. All of their sandwiches come Jr. size and I feel like I made the right call of upgrading to the Regular (4oz.) for more meat. Going to 4oz. I feel like was the standard size of what you'd expect in a pastrami sandwich: Would definetly recommend calling ahead or preserv online. I was a walk in and waited about 15-20 minutes. But I must say, they were busy pumping out online orders. There is limited seating in the coffee shop and not really a dine-in for a group larger than 3. Would definetly recommend if you're having one of those good ole pastrami cravings.

We ordered via DoorDash, and I wouldn't call our experience "heroic."…read more The pinsa was very good. We got the Calabrian shrimp. We found it very tasty, but paying over $25 for this on DoorDash--certainly not worth the price even though we really enjoyed it. The spicy chicken parm sandwiches were not good. The chicken breast was flabby, and came across like it was one of those frozen cooked Tyson jobs. I would be very surprised if they actually breaded chicken breast, fried it, and made the sandwich with that. It was mushy, and the breading was like paste on the chicken. Pretty awful. They charge extra for sauce, which is a little much, given that we paid $21 for each sandwich. But we figured out pretty quickly why they do this: there was hardly any sauce on the sandwiches. And precious little cheese. We each ate half of our sandwich and figured we doctor the leftovers up the next day with a jar of Rao's and a bag of shredded Italian cheese. That helped, but nothing could save that chicken. The meatballs. We paid $15 for four, and we had high hopes, but they were so mushy that they fell apart in the sauce, and I couldn't tell what was sauce and what was meatballs. The only flavor that came across was fennel. Why any meatball should be so fennel-forward strikes me as bizarre. We got what we thought were pretty basic things, and they were fails. If an Italian place can't make a decent chicken parm sandwich nor a decent meatball, that says something. If you go, try the pinsa.
