    12- Piece order, all dark
    Steve D.

Ordered 12-PCs of Krispy Krunchy Chicken (KKC) via DoorDash. Based on the tracking, the chicken came from this location. I wanted to write a review to give credit for making and selling good chicken. This chicken is good, might be really good if DoorDash wasn't 35 mins late. But the crust is still crunchy, and the heat of the spicy flavor is still there. Wrapped up and packed in a thick plastic bag. Thank you.

I was craving fried chicken and decided to order DoorDash delivery from bb.q Chicken. I was excited…read moreto try this restaurant because of the positive ratings and feedback! It's a great location to check out whether you're eating in or getting takeout / delivery. Being a chain, I was looking forward to seeing how the quality of the food compares. First, I tried the onion rings and these are perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. The coating is not thick and still light, which holds onto the onion very well. Next, I tried the hot spicy whole chicken - the half portion. For the price and value, I really enjoyed it! The chicken pieces are all evenly coated in the sauce, which has a balance of both sweetness with a light kick to it. The breading of the chicken is also airy and not heavy at all. Despite the chicken being drenched in the sauce, I did not find the texture to become soggy at all. One pro tip is that if you have leftovers, I recommend popping them into the air fryer so that they remain crispy. I was able to try the wings of fire, which I was really hyped about. I was fully expecting the wings to be on a 'burning' spice level, but I was able to handle it! If you do have a lower spice tolerance, I would recommend using caution if you're trying it but for the spicy food lovers, it's not as extreme as I thought it would be because the sauce was also sweet. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it! Although it is advertised as having 8 wings total, I actually got an extra one so shout out to the workers! This completely exceeded my expectations - as one person, I even had leftovers and was able to make the food stretch into multiple meals. I'm so glad I finally got to try bb.q Chicken and I highly recommend checking it out if you're craving Korean fried chicken!

It is crunchy on the outside and has a lot of meat on the inside. The beans and coleslaw are delicious as well. The beans were warm and tasty and the coleslaw were super fresh. They also provide hot sauce. If you want the honey mustard or ranch, it's an extra 50 cents each. Service has always been good. It is about a 20 minute wait for the food, but it's so worth cause it is yummy and fresh! There are a couple of tables inside to sit and eat at. Street parking.

For their prices, I was expecting something more close to soul food style mac n cheese (even a Popeyes' like version would've been okay enough). It felt like a boxed Velveeta, but dry/reheated with them hastily adding seasoning on top. 2. The fries were also a letdown. The seasoning was actually decent, but I could tell it was reheated. No crispness, but more of a limp, soft exterior. 3. Their chicken, plus the friendly service saved the review from being 1 stars. Out of everything on my platter, it was the only thing that actually tasted fresh & not reheated. The skin was crispy with a juicy interior. It had a spicy kick to it that wasn't too overbearing. Overall, I'd say their chicken is worth the price. It's the sides (from my experience) that could be better.

Our food came out pretty fast. Before our drinks did, surprisingly. :) The food was good. Nothing extraordinary, but honestly, about what you'd expect from a bar/cantina, maybe even a little above average. Solid food to have while you're hanging out and having drinks. The drinks were the highlight for us. Plenty of choices and a great variety on the menu. I ordered the Paloma, which was good! Refreshing, not overly sweet, and a solid drink overall. I'd recommend Xingones as a cool hangout spot. It's a solid place to go for a good happy hour after a regular day of work, grabbing drinks and food with friends, or hanging out with coworkers. The open space and atmosphere make it easy to sit around and hangout for a while. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which is always a win! Would come back, especially for drinks and happy hour.

The fries were decent, but likely just some standard frozen fries. The ranch was also really good, but $.50 each small sized cup. My biggest gripe was the service and the state of the restaurant. In the booth we sat in there was an electrical outlet is hanging out of the wall and the booths are in need of cleaning. We had to use the bathroom, and the soap was out. The staff member brought a new one, but didn't know how to install it so it just sat on top of paper towels. Not a huge deal but bruh, figure it out. The guy was nice enough, but just sat and watched his phone when no one was at counter. There was also another guy, maybe from the kitchen (?) hanging out behind the counter sometimes as well. All while tables needed wiping, the bus tub was FULL with dishes, or either of them could have tried to get the soap installed. If there was no one at counter or food to cook it was stand around and stare at our phones. It's just sad Just a subpar experience for as much as food costs these days. Train the staff to stay busy and know how to bus tables and clean. And if you ever order the BLT chicken sandwich make sure to ask for no BBQ sauce. Yuk.

The black sesame coconut cookie is super buttery and very strong tasting. I recommend a coffee, a dark coffee to go with it. The chicken was melt in your mouth tender. Hands down the best rotisserie chicken I've ever had my life. I used to go to Joinery in Sausalito for rotisserie chicken but not anymore. So good I think I'm willing to move to Temescal just to be close. I got the combo half chicken. It comes with one salad, one side and one sauce for the chicken. The chicken doesn't need any sauce because it's perfectly tasty as it is. However the pesto sauce is delightful. I loved the pesto sauce and highly recommend it. The Club Med salad had everything in it. I am biased because I eat Mediterranean. The Med salad had green olives and gigante beans in it. The beans were still warm. There were so many flavors in this salad. The sheep feta is so fresh in it. High quality. I also loved the roasted cauliflower which is a pain to make at home. It was melt in your mouth tender and goes really well with the lemon tahini sauce and olive oil. All this for $40 and $3 for the cookie. Tip is 18% minimum for the preset lowest option. The lady at the counter was so friendly and kind. The music was lively. All in all, just a super cool place to come eat for the best healthy and tasty food available in North Oakland.
