Proposition Chicken is a good place in Oakland's Lakeshore Commercial District. I can't remember how long they've been there but it seems like they've been here for at least a decade. I've had their crispy chicken sandwiches and salads, both of which are pretty tasty. Their crispy chicken doesn't feel too greasy or dried out. I order it as part of their salad because it tastes good, but also makes me feel better about myself. Their staff are pretty friendly and turn orders around in a timely manner, but they clearly make the food fresh. Came again this past Friday night. My wife was craving their Gluten Free chicken Sando and I opted to try the Entree this time and ordered it Flipped. The service was fast, and friendly. Raul was the person who took my order. This location always has a flow of traffic from people coming in to pick up their orders to people dining in. Inside has plenty of seating to wait for your food and it has always been clean when I have gone. My wife got the gluten free Sando with gluten free bread. My Flipped chicken entree was delicious. It came with a sweet buttermilk biscuit and a small tomato cucumber salad. We both got meals so we ordered a few drinks as well. Though I do love the fried chicken Sando I really enjoyed the flipped entree. The flavor was great, and the chicken was moist. The cucumber tomato salad was fresh as well. Only thing I'll do different next time is slap a little butter on my biscuit My wife Sando came with chips which she enjoyed and she ordered a side of ranch. Did you know Prop Chicken serves breakfast now? It's a limited menu and I really didn't know what to expect but WOW. I loved my fried tofu breakfast sandwich. It came on a toasted croissant bun (slightly sweet and makes the entire sandwich really easy to eat since it's a little spongey.) The egg was perfectly soft but not runny, which I prefer for my sandwiches. We also ordered a regular egg and cheese, which my son kept stealing bites of.
