The Italian deli sandwich was great. Also had to try the chopped sando since it seemed to be a fan favorite. Didn't end up being a favorite of mine- I think it needed more flavors and definitely a crunch. I added pickles and mustard at home and that did add some helpful texture and flavor. Large space inside to stand and wait while your sandwich is being made, some limited bench seating was available but didn't seem like the space was intended for sitting down and dining in.
Yelp actually led me to this sandwich shop. I searched for sandwiches in my area, and this was one of the few places that popped up. I'm forever grateful for that recommendation because they make some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I've tried a few items on the menu, but the one I always recommend is the Hot Italian. Everything about this sandwich is incredible. It's packed with flavor, and you can honestly tell it was made with care. I usually pair it with a bag of chips, and the total comes to around $18. It's absolutely worth every penny and always leaves me full and satisfied. The shop is consistently clean, and the customer service is always friendly and welcoming. I find myself going back over and over again, then telling myself I need to take a break--only to end up back there a few weeks later. That's how good it is. A couple of things to keep in mind before you visit: there's only limited street parking, so you may have to circle the block to find a spot. There's also not much room to wait inside, although they do have a bench or two where you can sit while your sandwich is being prepared. In my experience, the wait is usually around 15 minutes. I've honestly never been here when it wasn't busy, so expect a crowd. But once you take that first bite, you'll understand why. Great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service. I highly recommend checking this place out!
I told my companion I was craving a sandwich, which is rare, especially on Dutch crunch. He is always so good with making sure my cravings are satisfied, and after perusing Yelp, we decided to come here. We arrived at the deli on a weekend afternoon. It wasn't too busy. The deli is a nice size with a couple of benches to sit and wait for your food. You can look at the menu and order, plus grab a drink or chips. They have a nice variety of items to grab that go well with your sandwich. The service was friendly and quick. Workers were all kind, and we love that it's dog-friendly! Regarding the sandwiches, you can get a hot or cold sandwich. You can also build your own! Companion got the Hot Boy, and I went the Build Your Own route. The sandwiches are hefty, with lots of great meats and fillings, and for the price, very decent! I wish my bread were a bit more toasted and crunchier, but that's my preference. It hit the spot, and I'd be open to trying their other sandwiches. I don't often go to delis, but Brothers Deli was a nice place to try. We enjoyed it by the waterfront, which makes it a great picnic option. Find them off Park Blvd., with street and residential parking around.
What a great sandwich! Chicken Pesto Panini was served hot and amazing! Shop had a fun modern feel. Staff was helpful and friendly. I'm not from this area, but I'd definitely recommend to others!

We stopped by this sandwich shop for a quick bite. I had a sandwich here before but can't remember what kind but it was good. I decided on the Hot Pastrami sandwich without reading the ingredients. There were only 2 benches against the wall and no tables to eat indoors. The place was large enough for several tables and chairs but nothing. Anyway, my sandwich was ready and it had arugula leaves inside which made it bitter. I did not taste the Swiss cheese and I requested no onions. The pastrami was good but the arugula destroyed it. My mistake. Next time, I'll read the ingredients. I had a half and planned to remove the arugula with cilantro at home but the hubs ate it the next day.

I'm gonna give it another try but my sandwich was soaking wet with grease when I opened it up. I think they toasted the whole sandwich instead of just the bread and cheese and it got incredibly oily and inedible. I took a few bites but got a stomach ache it was so greasy. This place looks so great but maybe I got the wrong thing :(
I'm hella close to this place and was long overdue to go here! Food was bomb. Had it and my Yerba Madre because I needed food and tea during a power outage (dang so THAT's what got me there lol) and my sandwich was delicious. Big sandwich split in half but I managed to make myself eat the whole sandwich in one sitting. I loved it. I didn't have to wait too long for my order either, it tasted like it was totally made fresh. Expensive unfortunately to order there but I'm coming back when I can. If you don't mind paying a lot as a treat I'd say go here. People suggest the Italian Hot sandwich which I obviously didn't order but I'll be trying it next for sure

2700 Park Blvd Oakland, CA 94606 I was in the area, so I decided to go by and try a sandwich at Brothers Deli. It was around 3pm on a sunny Wednesday. I asked them what was the best sandwich on the menu. The young man said lots people like "Italian Sub" and the "Brother's Choice." I asked how big the sandwiches are, and he wasn't sure. He held up his hands to approximate the size. So I ordered the "Chopped Sando." I wanted a cold sandwich that was easy to eat. Pretty good sandwich for $13.95. "Chopped" gives the sandwich a blended filling on a soft roll. I asked for no peppers. So the chopped filling had a mild flavor. BTW, my sandwich was about 10-1/2" - 11" long. I estimated the size based on the length of a standard sheet of paper.....8-1/2" x 11." You can only order one size. They also sell drinks, chips, and candy. All orders are takeout. There's no tables for eating there. The place is clean, with a modern decor. I found parking on the street behind the restaurant. It's a steep hill, so not too many people park there. I finally got the chance to stop by this awesome deli. I grew up in this neighborhood and was excited to see the growth. I love the open concept, but curious with such open space why there is no dine in seating. The staff was very friendly, and I will say for the amount of people waiting they get the orders out fast. I got the roasted turkey. My sandwich was super good will definitely go back next time I need a sandwich.

What can I say? We make the trip all the way from Antioch every other week just to get our Hotboy sandwich! My family and I absolutely LOVE Brothers Deli! The staff is always so friendly, humble, and patient, especially when helping us explore the menu and decide what to order. The deli has a nice, comfortable seating area where you can relax while waiting for your delicious food to be freshly prepared. They also offer a great variety of beverages and chips to complete your meal. When we're willing to drive all the way from Antioch every other week, you KNOW the sandwiches are worth it! If you haven't stopped by Brothers Deli yet, do yourself a favor and GO! Grab a sandwich, enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, and see for yourself what makes this place so special. You won't be disappointed! We love to park our car at lake Merritt, and enjoy our sandwiches. read more

Stopped by here for lunch. I've been wanting to try brothers deli for a long time. I placed an order on the online app and my sandwich was ready about 20 minutes later. They do get a good amount of customers during lunchtime so be prepared to wait a little. I got the Italian sub and it was delicious. Good amount of meat and veggies to bread ratio. Can't wait to come back and try their other sandwiches. They also sell drinks, chips and candy too. Workers were really nice and working hard to make everyone's sandwiches. FYI, this is a to go place. There are no tables and chairs to stay and eat so just be mindful of that. read more

The first time I had my sandwich here I almost cried after the first bite it tasted so good! I keep saying I will try a new sandwich from their unique menu but I can't help but order the Hot Boy every single time! It's the best of both worlds with turkey and pastrami. The spice from the fire salad, on quality Bay Area bread (Dutch crunch) just brings it to the top as the best sandwich in the bay, respectfully! Excellent customer service is consistent. Andy is always friendly and efficient. The only complaint I have is sometimes the iPad to pay doesn't allow for a tip so bring cash! They deserve it for the love they put into their food. read more

This is my go-to cheat meal! I order the Italian sub and add pastrami for extra flavor and meat. The balance of flavors is perfect, and the dressing they use is amazing. The Dutch crunch bread takes it to the next level. Service is always polite and friendly. Love this deli! read more

Sandwiches were delicious! Next time I want to request the chopped sando with the Dutch crunch bread that came with the cali club sandwich my husband ordered. Saved half for my kids and they loved the chopped sando. Easy for my 8 year old who is missing some teeth to eat because the bread and the filling is chopped up and soft! Great selection of drinks, chips and snacks as well. There was a line already when we arrived right at noon today (Saturday) when they opened. But the line moved fairly quickly to order and good things take some time to make! Their sandwiches are huge as other reviewers have noted. Really tasty and filling. Appreciated how clean the inside was and that they have benches on the side for you to sit and wait for your order to be ready. Will be back to try some of their other sandwiches! read more

Brother's Deli opened in Creative Framing & Gallery's vacated space. Space sans decor sells artisan hot/cold sandwiches, toasts. to go only. Seats for waiting for orders only. Limited street parking. Bites: Grinder Sub (14.95) -composite sandwich & salad for those who can't choose between them. Boar's Heads meats used. -ciabatta hosts a medley of cracked pepper mill turkey, ham, pepperoni, salami, & provolone with the former in abundance. The latter flavas merge. -salad of mayo, lettuce, onion, tomato, deli dressing & pepperoncini noticeable by the constant dripping/leakage from bottom of sammie. Individual flavas also intergrated. -all ingredients combined seamlessly for uniform comfort food experience. 4.5 stars no waiting prelunch. Ready in 5ish minutes read more

I was craving a sandwich so I ordered ahead here. Super friendly and clean place. I ordered the chicken garlic panini. It was made fresh. I took a bite in the car and it was so tasty. Very flavorful I was impressed. Definitely worth the price and cooked to perfection! read more

Lovely new place! Lots of options. We opted to try the Hot Italian sandwich as first timers. I'd definitely go back to try the Paninis! The service was great, they were out of rolls but they were able to provide the last roll for our sandwich as it was our first time and they wanted it to be a great first impression. Quick walk or drive back to the Lake Merritt to enjoy it with a view. read more

A neighborhood Deli, exactly what we want and needed! Friendly staff, accommodating, fresh ingredients providing quality sandos! I've came by twice now within a month, as there were a few items on the menu that I wanted to try. Though, on the top of my list was the Chopped Sando and the Italian Sub. Quite hard to decide which I prefer since they're both great so I think it'd just depend on where I'm having my sandwich next time since Chopped Sando can get messy. There are no tables to eat at inside, only a couple of benches to sit at while waiting for your order. Fine with me. I'll be back next time to try more items on the menu! read more

Some days, I'm just looking for an east coast style sub or just a dang good sandwich--I think that I've found a place that satisfies the craving. I've been wanting to try Brothers Deli for a bit and finally had the chance to stroll through Park Blvd today. First, the folks are here are cool. He gladly took my order and was very kind about my modification. I got the cold Italian sub - sub mortadella instead of ham. Every single thing from the lettuce to the meat to the bread was so fresh. The sesame roll was perfect - it was soft but held up against all the ingredients. Try it chopped! It's a little trendy but very tasty--I like the texture and distribution of flavor. My wife got basically the same but on the pizza bianche bread (special sandwich of the day) - so good! Ambiance is clean and simple. No tables to sit and eat but there's a couple of benches while you wait. The only complaint that I might have is the parking situation but it's a neighborhood spot so it's all good. We'll definitely be coming back here again and again. read more
