Me and my boyfriend decided to give this place a try the other day despite the reviews and I must say we were very impressed with the ambiance and how beautiful it is as well as the customer service we received when we first walked in. I got a 2PC Catfish with yams and greens and my boyfriend got the Pork chops with creamy confetti corn and mashed potatoes with gravy. My fish was the best catfish I have ever tasted in years, it was seasoned to perfection and just right I didn't even have to use my Louisiana hot sauce lol.. The greens were very flavorful and the yams were on point. My boyfriend said his pork chops were juicy and flavored just right along with his mashed potatoes and corn. We also got this drink called the Strawberry Henny Twist and it was off the chain. The server stated that it was a top seller at the restaurant so we took his word for it and was very satisfied. I most definitely will be returning back to try Breakfast and Brunch very soon. read more

This restaurant is amazing. I decided to give this restaurant a try because I've been hearing good things about it. I must say I was very impressed. The environment and atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. The customer service was great as well and I ordered the Pork chops with candied yams and collard greens. First, The pork chops were seasoned to perfection and one of the juiciest pork chops I have ever had at any restaurant by far. Second, My candied yams and collard greens were soooo good that I almost lost my religion because they were not out of a can and you could tell they were homemade with some good southern recipes. I really liked how the yams and collard greens had a signature taste like no other restaurant I have been to. I ate dinner at this place last night with my mom despite the reviews and I must say I was very pleased and impressed. I got the 2PC Catfish plate with mac n cheese and sweet potatoes and my mom got the Chicken Fried Chicken with collard greens and mashed potatoes n gravy. My fish was the real deal catfish and it was seasoned to perfection. My mac n cheese was very creamy and flavorful and the yams were some of the best that I have ever had. My mom enjoyed her CFC and she said it was very juicy and very flavorful. She loved her greens and mashed potatoes as well. This will be my new Southern spot from now on. I will most definitely be returning back for Breakfast and their Brunch on weekends. read more

I had the opportunity to try this southern restaurant that I found out about called Southern Eats; and I must say, it was absolutely AMAZING. My family and I got there early, and we were seated immediately. The menu had a wide variety of food and drink options, such as pork chops, large chicken wings, cocktails, etc. The ambiance was great as well; the restaurant looked very pristine and nice. The service was extremely quick and our food arrived quickly after we had ordered. The waitress was very kind to us and kept coming back to make sure that everything was going okay. Overall, I think Southern Eats is an amazing restaurant with great food, service, and ambiance. read more

This place is Amazing!! It has only been open for a month but we found it on yelp and we are really glad we did! The ambiance and the decor is modern and impeccable. They play nice soothing music and it's very clean. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it came with two sides. I ordered the Mac n cheese and the collard greens. The collard greens were so good I would come back just for them. My whole meal was so good and reasonably priced. They also have $5 margaritas and $3 mimosas. We tried the margarita and it was one of the best I've had. I will definitely come back to Southern Eats when I visit Arlington! Thanks for the great customer service!! read more

First time visiting this beautiful space and the restaurant looks great. Great atmosphere and family friendly and couple ready for dates. My daughter ordered and ate the entire order of catfish strips and greens!!! Staff and owner were very gracious. Sweet people. The waitress could have been a bit more attentive to her tables. She lacked "waiter courtesy ". She didn't check on us during our wait for the meals, didn't give refills (thanks to the other waitress who assisted us no questions asked) but besides the waitress, we will most definitely be returning. With more family and even bigger appetites! I didn't get to try any dessert. read more

This was a pleasant surprise! We had a large group of us, so we expected that the service might be hindered somewhat, but it was pleasant and accommodating. I ordered the lunch chicken fried steak expecting what you normally get at a restaurant by a flat piece of beef with too much batter. I was pleasantly surprised to see the thickness of the steak and the batter was very tasty. Season perfectly. The milk gravy as well, ask for more! The owner of this restaurant is very conscientious of wanting to serve the best food with great service which I experienced today. Looking forward to attending their weekend brunch. read more

My Chamber networking group just had our lunch meeting there. 43 of us descended on the restaurant (with advanced notice) and they handled everything great! I had recommended yo the Manager that he may offer only a modified menu due to the size of our group, but he let us order off the main menu. Personally, my meal, (chicken fried steak, broccoli, and Brussel sprouts) was excellent! My tea was filled frequently without asking. Everything was handled great! I heard nothing but good things from our members about their orders. I will be back with family and friends and will highly recommend Southern Eats! read more

My husband and I tried Southern Eats for the first time today. It was so convenient. I reviewed the menu online, called in the order, and picked it up in the Drive Thru. The tops of the containers were labeled which make checking the food easy to do. It took us 30 minutes to get home and I was pleasantly surprised to find the food still hot! I was concerned that the fish and okra would loose its crisp during the drive, but all the food was great. Flavor, heat, and presentation! Thank you for putting so much care into the meal. Excellent customer service reasonably priced considering the large portion of food you receive it was busy but worth the wait I ordered a vegetable plate it was so yummy and seasoned perfectly those greens were so tender and mouth watering hubby had a catfish plate with 2 sides greens & candied yams he really enjoyed it as well we will most definitely be returning customers it was really nice and clean the set up was just really nice and comfortable it's nice to FINALLY have a good ole southern soul food restaurant here in Arlington TEXAS!!!! read more

Had a delicious meal. Greens were fresh, everything was perfectly seasoned. Fresh fried catfish, creamy macaroni and the atmosphere was relaxing. Nice relaxing music. Visited this place on Friday at the recommendation of a friend and THIS PLACE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Pork chops were seasoned to perfection and moist inside. Yams just the right amount of sweetness. Collard greens with good ole pork cooked in them. I seriously wanted to sit there until I was hungry again just to try something else on the menu.
