I visited Breakfast Brothers near AT&T Stadium during the World Cup, and the place was absolutely bursting at the seams. There were people from seemingly all over the world packed into the restaurant, and what impressed me most was how well Breakfast Brothers handled the moment. I've eaten at Breakfast Brothers a number of times, and their consistency across locations deserves recognition. I brought the kids with me this time, and everybody left impressed. I had the catfish and pancakes with a side of chicken wings. Everything was very well done. The catfish and wings were seasoned perfectly, the pancakes were great, and the entire meal delivered exactly what I've come to expect from Breakfast Brothers. No complaints at all. But the service really made this visit stand out. The staff were wearing soccer jerseys and fully embracing the World Cup atmosphere. Despite how crowded the restaurant was, they were welcoming, attentive, and handled an incredibly diverse crowd with grace. You had people from around the world who may have been experiencing this style of food for the first time, and it was great watching the staff take care of everyone. As a Black-owned restaurant, Breakfast Brothers had a pretty big stage that day, and they represented exceptionally well. Good food is one thing. We made good time that we walked in and was sat immediately. It was his first time having the a red velvet waffle and he was in awe at the first bite and the wings were crispy and followed it with a regular lemonade. The catfish was crispy and subtle seasoning and I really enjoyed the Carmel drizzle on the pancakes and didn't have to add syrup. The breakfast potatoes were ok too. Came on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday. We had to wait for the entire party to arrive to be seated. Which makes sense because the crowd grew and grew the longer we were there. Once seated we all placed our orders pretty quick along with our drink selections. They have a really great menu of options such as catfish, pork chops and chicken. Most of which can be fried, blackened or grilled. From waffles to savory grits and more. There's surely something for everyone. Not one person at my table was disappointed with their meals. For this to be a small spot and not too crowded at the time, I didn't quite understand the 30+ minute wait time. Once we were seated, though, the service was good, and the manager even stopped by to check on us, which I appreciated. I ordered the catfish with grits and eggs, along with a red velvet waffle -- everything was pretty good. My friend got the salmon, which unfortunately wasn't cooked all the way through. It definitely could've used a bit more time on the grill and a better crisp. Now, the mac and cheese... it was kind of all over the place. It had a lot going on -- multiple cheeses, way too much sour cream, heavy seasoning, and lots of parsley. I usually get cheese on my eggs and grits, but it was good without it. Everything was very well seasoned! Definitely need to give a shout out to the Cook! I also had a mango margarita to finish it off which is given in a big size mason jar. It was good as well. Giving it a 4 star because the booth seating wasn't properly cleaned prior to sitting down. Horrible Service I came into Breakfast Brothers at 11:00 AM and was seated and served drinks, but as of 12:42 PM, I still had not received my food. That is over an hour and 40 minutes of waiting with no sense of urgency from the staff. There were only two employees working in the entire establishment, and while I understand being short-staffed can be difficult, the lack of communication and urgency toward the customers dining inside was extremely disappointing. I watched to-go orders being prepared and moved out quickly while the customers sitting inside continued waiting. If you're going to be this short-staffed, there needs to be better communication with customers and some type of effort to manage the dining room. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not recommend Breakfast Brothers. The customer service was horrible, and waiting nearly two hours for food is unacceptable. read more

My six-year-old son and I had some time on our hands between his doctor's appointment and being able to get into quest diagnostics for blood work. I think we all can relate to that situation. He was starving to death, as usual. I found Breakfast Brothers on Yelp and decided that would be a good one to try. I have been to their location in South Dallas in the past. I have a great appreciation for the grits that I had there. Finding good grits in Texas is almost impossible and they have good grits. This particular restaurant in Arlington is quite small, which is fine. I had an omelette minus all the starchy sides because I didn't want to be tempted and drive my type one diabetes through the roof. My son had pancakes, eggs and sausage. They don't offer a kids menu, but he ate at least 75% of it. He was truly hungry. The food was rather good. The service was great. The staff was friendly and they took care of business. The only negative I have is that it took quite some time for our order to be taken and the food to arrive. I'm not beating anybody up over that because it is a sit down restaurant and fast isn't always the ultimate goal. This was my first visit on an early Sunday morning. The location is tucked in a small retail center. I thought that we had beat the Sunday crowd, but after going in we found the wait was 45 minutes. Understandably, because the space is quite small on the inside. After the wait, we were seated. Unfortunately, it was right by the door. It was a cold day and the door makes a really loud thud when closing. Truth be told, the service and food made up for it. We started off with loaded fries. The fries were most definitely frozen. The toppings were fresh. My daughter asked for ranch which came in a packet, which didn't taste the best. For my entree, I had the pancake combo. The pancakes were DELICIOUS, fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. My eggs were cooked to perfection. My daughter had the French toast combo. She absolutely loved it, and my boo had the pork chops. While I think they looked like they were cooked in old grease, he loved them. I have to mention that they offer alkaline water by the Breakfast Brothers that I enjoyed. This place is a gem. Quaint, good music, great service and excellent food. I took my girls to Breakfast Brothers in Arlington expecting a good breakfast experience. The food itself was fine -- just your basic breakfast plates, nothing fancy -- and we only had water to drink. But when the bill came, it was over $75 for three people. For that price, I would expect something special, but what we got was a standard breakfast that you can find at plenty of other places for half the cost. Paying $75 for eggs, bacon, pancakes, and water just feels unreasonable. The staff was friendly enough, but the value simply isn't there. Arlington has plenty of breakfast spots where you don't feel like you're overpaying for basic meals. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place unless you don't mind dropping $75+ on a very average breakfast. read more

Omg! I wish I had a Breakfast Brothers back home. The food at this spot was so good we wanted to eat here everyday of our little vacation. The service was also great which is why I gave 5 stars. We came on a Saturday morning around 830 am and we were seated immediately. The place started to fill up about 20 mins later so get there early as this location is quite small and they're only open until 4pm. Breakfast and lunch are both available all day and everything on the menu sounds delicious! We decided on the veggie omelette, fried catfish, cheese grits, pancakes, scrambled cheese eggs, and homestyle potatoes. The food came out hot and fresh about 20 mins later and just as we anticipated, everything was tasty! I had to ask for my syrup to be warmed up since I don't like thick, cold syrup on warm pancakes but it wasn't a problem for them to heat it up. I need to try some of the other menu items they have so the next time I'm in the area Breakfast Brothers will definitely have to be one of the first stops I make. read more

Definitely a hidden gem that I seem to have missed. When there are people sitting in the parking lot waiting for a seat you know they are constant and it's good. The staff is super friendly, we were placed on a waiting list and they send you a text when the table is ready. I honestly don't think we waited the time frame she gave it was actually shorter. Place is clean, they immediately clean tables as soon as customers leave.They serve breakfast all day. The menu has many options to choose from. You walk in and already the smells are everything! I came in on a Sunday and was blessed to hear GOSPEL blasting! The wait wasn't too long but I appreciate seeing a wait places because that means the food is great! So I waited and got a seat inside within 20min. My husband is allergic to seafood so I avoid it when I'm with him, and I'm sad about that because this menu had combinations I had only dreamed of before! Catfish and waffles! Chicken and French toast! Fried salmon and pancakes! We both ordered chicken and French toast and give it a 10/10! But I'm coming for the catfish and waffle next time for sure!
