So my little cousin came to visit, and we decided to check this place out for brunch. Let me start by saying this was a very cold day at the end of October. The place is pretty small, and we were seated by the door. It was not pleasant since we had to eat with our coats on, and people were in and out or holding the door open. I ordered a mimosa, and it definitely was mostly juice and no champagne. The salmon was nothing to right home about, and neither were the eggs. The waffle was okay, but overall, I was not impressed with the food, and it was definitely overpriced. What you see in my picture was about $60 for breakfast food. Really the food made up for every hiccup experience. The catfish was the best I've ever had. I truly look forward to the next time I come back for the catfish. Warning This restaurant is extremely small with no option of making reservations. They do have an option to join a waitlist however unless you've been there before you may not know until you arrive. At which point you will join the waitlist and wait in your car until they text you that your table is ready. They underestimate the wait. 45-60 mins was what they gave us. By the time you've waited for an hour you're committed even if the wait is actually longer. In this case it was. Almost another 45 mins later before we got seated inside. We initially got seated by the door which is not ideal if it's really cold. Thankfully they recognized our discomfort and reseated us towards the back of the restaurant which was probably like 15 feet from where we were. Yes it's THAT small. If the food wasn't as good as it was I probably would have given it a 3 stars but truly the chef needs his props. The service was really great too. It was def worth the wait. My friends and I were visiting Dallas/Arlington, TX for a women's conference and wanted some good brunch food upon our arrival. After looking up some places, we stumbled upon Breakfast Brothers and saw they had great reviews on multiple restaurant sites. We arrived to the Arlington, TX location on a Wednesday and found it tucked away in a shopping center with other businesses. The restaurant wasn't big, which resulted in us having to wait about 30-45 minutes before we could be sat. Once that time has passed we were seated at the first table near the window. Everyone already knew what we wanted to order as we reviewed the menu and various options during our waiting period. There was so many good options to choose from but two of us settled on the Chicken & French Toast, one person ordered the Seafood Omelette. I had to get a side of grits and homestyle potatoes to complete my meal. For our drinks we ordered one of their handcrafted lemonades and our waitress allowed us to get a mix of Mango & Peach as our flavor. A coworker spoke highly on this place . In my adult years, I've become extremely fond of lamb chops and don't know too many places that knows how to cook them in a way to where they are still nice and juicy but isn't so gamy in taste . Recently visited breakfast brothers on a team outing and glad my boss lady picked this place! Let me tell you, good fried catfish in the DFW is hard to come buy. This place has it down to a science. The seasonings and the crunch were great! I order the catfish and waffles. While the waffle wasn't my favorite, I was ready to go back the next day for the catfish The space is small and I hope one day the owners will be able to expand. My husband had the shrimp fried rice and I had the brunch burger where the cost came in my husband drinks quite a bit of tea and the glasses are really small so he had four teas They charge for each tea and it was $16.50 for just our tea had we have known that he would've had water so also something to look out for and beware of is that they charge gratuity most restaurants only charge auto gratuity when they're six or more They're was only four of us and it was auto gratuity of nine dollars and we're not used to that so my husband tipped More and she ended up getting a $17 tip so 16.50 for the tea $20 for his shrimp fried rice $17 for my hamburger And the rest was gratuity plus tax yeah that's a little much for a brunch. read more

This location has just recently opened to the public so I decided to try them out this morning, 11-25. I ordered their two pork chops breakfast which is served with two eggs, potatoes and Texas toast. The toast and pork chops were outstanding. My problem stemmed from the way the eggs were served. I had requested over easy and was served two overcooked eggs. I had to use my knife to cut them up. That is why I only gave the place 4 stars. I even thought the ambiance was nice with the R&B music playing in the background. Last but not least I'd like to speak up on the service.......if you go on any given Sunday, your wait time to be seated at a table will be at least a 1-1 1/2 hours this is if they don't pull your name off the waitlist mysteriously after waiting for a hour or more. Once you're seated you will have to wait another 45 minutes to get your food . Upon entry the younger host and hostesses at the front door are not welcoming at all! I was seated immediately and my order was taken quickly. I started out with water, orange juice, and shrimp grits. The orange juice tasted a bit syrupy to me. The grits with gravy where cooked to perfection. However, my large size shrimp tasted rubbery like and hard to cut. I wasn't thrilled with the shrimp. The grits portion size was an overkill, I feel like a medium size shrimp and grits should be offered. Absolutely in AWE! We had been waiting to experience the Downtown Arlington location for a couple of months, so we finally were able to go this morning. Upon entering the restaurant, it was extremely clean and the staff was quite friendly. Our waiter (cannot recall his name), who was nice asked if it was our first time to visit the restaurant. We informed that it was and he went on to explain the menu items. There were 2 people in our party and we ordered 2 entrees. We wanted to change an item on each order and inquired about an additional charge. We wanted to change the Texas toast on one order for either a waffle or pancake...He informed us that there was a charge for that and it was an additional $7.00 for the waffle and $3.00 for the pancake. We opted for the pancake. We also wanted to substitute the homestyle potatoes on each of our orders for the seasoned wedges - little did we know or were informed that it was an additional $10.40 for this change. We also wanted to try the wings, so we placed an order to go and asked if they could all be drumsticks - we were informed "of course they can". The waiter asked what type of seasoning we wanted on the wings and gave us the choices. Of course, we picked one that had an additional charge for it that we were not informed about. The order finally came out and it was a mixture of wings. We brought this up to the manager, and she said that it would have been an additional charge - well, we had already been charged additionally for other things, so why would we not think this request would be any different? At this point, we were just disgusted and ready to get out of the restaurant. For 2 people, our bill was $88 not including gratuity - this is ridiculous for this type of restaurant, but it is because of all the hidden upcharges that people are not informed about. This was definitely a bad experience that unfortunately we will have to share with others who inquire with us about the place since we had told many we were going - we cannot suggest someone going unless they question each and every item about additional charges when they are placing their orders. read more

I have been hearing a lot about The Breakfast Brothers, and today seemed like a good day to try it after a good hike. We got there about 5:30 p.m. and asked to dine-in. We were told it was going to be about a 45 minute wait, so we decided to order to-go. The seating area is very small, about seven tables, but not even enough room to stand around waiting for a table. The decor itself is actually pretty cool with all the black and white pictures on the walls. We placed our orders and were told it was going to be 25 minutes and that we would be called when our order was ready. I will just make it a point to say that the person they have at the cash register should really not be the person they want greeting the customers. They either need more employee training on customer service, or put a more polite person up there. Anyway, I ordered the lobster roll which is market price. When I asked what market price was, I was told it was $35 because it was two lobster tails in the sandwich (it comes with fries). My boyfriend ordered the fried pork chops and eggs, which came with breakfast potatoes. After about 40 minutes, we had still not received a call, so my boyfriend went inside and the food had been sitting there but nobody called us. Everything was in there that we ordered which probably gives them one of the two stars. Now to the taste... My lobster roll actually tasted decent. But I will say two lobster tails it was not! And since it really wasn't that much lobster, the bread slices swallowed all the lobster meat... and if you've ever had a good lobster roll, you know it's usually too much to fit inside the roll. The fries were mediocre at best. As for the fried pork chops, they were not seasoned well with only minimum seasoning. Definitely something you could make at the house and would taste better. I feel like for the prices which are being charged, the presentation and quality could be much better. The presentation of the food is very diner-like, as if you could have gotten it from Denny's or something, but paying way more for it.
