Pesto quesadilla, blueberry corn bread, 2 eggs with wheat toast and fruit, coffee
Yelen P.

Got pesto quesadilla, which was very good. The blueberry corn bread is unique and fun. Food arrived quickly, coffee was consistently topped off. Ambiance is the best. It feels relaxed and comfortable thanks to the hats with baby heads on them. The owner was there walking around and chatting with people. I would definitely return.

The place - acoustics not so hot and next to a shout-talking couple.

This is really 4 and 1/2 Stars. Service was excellent. FYI - I noticed some reviewers on here saying the servers weren't smiley or friendly - really??? That's like a big deal for you? - I guess you don't consider what kind of job this is and how much they are paid - get over yourselves and your touchy feelings - the Food came out fast and hot. That's the main thing. You get a lot. Biscuit is outrageously large. Had to take it home - couldn't finish it. Belgian waffle was very lite which was good. Coffees were hot and done well - strong which is excellent. The 1/2 star. It's a bit loud mostly because of the them/they/their couple next to us shout-talking (I just made that term up!) - and the acoustics. Otherwise a very nice place for breakfast.

South Side Walnut Cafe is great spot if looking for breakfast/lunch or brunch spot in Boulder, CO. It was also close to out BnB for race weekend. Really good that had come back for seconds and try more of the menu. The first visit got green burrito. I loved it! It nice size burrito, hearty, filling, and green salsa on top was da bomb. Refried beans delicious. Ashley ordered coffee cake. It looked really good so had try taste. It hit the spot. My first impressions walked in the place got personality. The rolling garage doors (they had it down), huge chalkboard hanging on top of one wall with all daily specials, walk-in one of the barista artist she some on display and buy them if want, or vibrant color interior colors. Cool laidback vibe. Second visit got the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap. Again nice hearty dish. The wrap was huge and loaded with good stuff. Awesome. Service five stars both times. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and all smiles.

Brunch isn't my favorite (blasphemy, I know), so I'm always excited when I find a place I really like. My husband and I shared: - Bhakati Chai - Spikey's Golden Milk - Pesto Quesadilla - Big Dipper with Strawberry Banana and Icing - Housemade Sweet Roll - Banana Jubilee Starting with the drinks, the Bhakati Chai was amazing. I hate when chai is all sugar and no spice and this one has a lot of spice. Between the entrees, I think the Big Dipper was my favorite which is surprising because I don't usually go for a sweet breakfast. The combination of pancake and French toast was unique and delicious. I love that they encourage customization because I wanted to combine the options on the menu. The pesto quesadilla was also fantastic though, so just get both. The sweet roll was good, but I prefer my cinnamon rolls to be gooier. The Banana Jubilee was delicious, but it was sadly a special that day, so I'm not sure when it will be on the menu again. It was so busy when we got there that I was surprised we only had a 15 minute wait (around 9:30 on a Saturday). I'd definitely go back again!

Great modern location. Good food and very comfortable setting. They have pie day every Tuesday, which would be delicious. Homemade Price 314 slice unbelievable. Only suggestion I have is to have Wi-Fi.

Mexican omelette with potatoes and fruit salad

This place is very popular for breakfast/brunch but we were able to get seating at 9am on a Tuesday without a wait. The food is good--I had the Mexican omelette, which had good flavor but little heat It would have been better in my opinion with rice and beans, but I got potatoes (pretty decent) and fruit salad (better than average for this time of year) as my sides. Our server was efficient enough but not exactly on the friendly side. Overall a good stop if you're in this part of Boulder but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Went to this cafe on a Sunday around 11. Very busy and had to wait a bit to get a table but wasn't too bad. We ordered drinks and my hot chocolate took a good while to come out. Loved the whipped cream, but overall thought the chocolate flavor was strange not sure why. We also tried the Cambric forgot to get a picture, but that was awesome! Super foamy on top and was really impressive and surpassed expectations. It took a while to get our food and we were waiting for a good bit. I understand that it was busy but also since it's just diner food I was expecting a faster roll out. We had the dill eggs with a side of blueberry cornbread and special huevos rancheros with a side of French toast. The dill eggs were good but the portion was kinda small and I think to fill up the plate better they should offer two sides with this. I liked it overall, but thought the pairing with the Swiss cheese was kind of weird. They didn't go skimpy on it though and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I think goat cheese or feta cheese would go better with this. Spinach was good and I liked the dill sauce which is just sour cream with dill. The blueberry cornbread is also good. Not as crumbly and cornmeal like as I am used to and I'm pretty sure it doesn't come out of box mix, but it's definitely not the best cornbread I've ever had. The special huevos rancheros was good. The pita bread underneath didn't feel like actual pita bread and was kind of flat but it was covered in so much it didn't matter. I thought the flavor combination of Mexican flavors like green chiles and beans was odd with the feta cheese and Greek inspired ness of the dish. It was a big and filling dish though and good portions. I did like the green chile. It was spicy and had good flavor. The side of French toast was yummy. Good portion for a side and lots of maple syrup. Overall I recommend this cafe/diner for breakfast/brunch. The service was decent and food was good for the price point and all that. This would not be my first choice for amazing food and service, but it's a solid option and affordable. The decor inside is fine and there is good seating inside and outside.

Amazing brunch spot in Boulder. Food is served fast as you read about on here. Large menu available and indoor and outdoor seating options too. Folks love the outdoor patio when it's warm. Pesto Quesadilla lives up the hype, and I highly recommend. Good food options for kids as well. Great service. Large parking lot. Overall I definitely recommend you check this place out for breakfast or lunch!

Chef doesn't know how to make bacon crispy. Or maybe waitresses aren't actually listening.

We were greeted by a great hostess with an excellent sense of humor. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 at a round table that still had plenty of elbow room for all of us. Our server, Michelle, greeted us right away and provided recommendations on their coffee and drinks. She was energetic and fun - we loved her genuine interaction with us! The food came fairly quickly considering they were nearly full. I chose the cinnamon roll French toast (chef's kiss!!) and hubby had the basic breakfast. We shared our meals so we could each have something sweet and savory. My niece had the Heartland Skillet and said it was to die for! I don't think there was much on the menu where you could go wrong. And bonus - they offer a breakfast cocktail for 99 cents with an entree order. You can get up to 3. This is an excellent choice for brunch (service and food!) and we will return next time we are in Boulder!

It was busy when we walked in and all the tables were full and then we were offered outside seating which we didn't know they offered. They have three tables outside and it was nice in the sun. The menu has a nice selection of typical breakfast options. They also have burgers as I saw one walk by on its way to another table. Service was good even though we were outside. Chicken fried steak - 8/10 - this was one of the better ones that I have had. The hash brown potatoes were crispy and delicious and the sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly . Oatmeal - 6/10 - hard to have amazing oatmeal, it was fine Pancakes - 7.5/10 - these were light and airy, yummy, and huge (they were the size of the plate) This is a great place to frequent.
