Love this place for brunch! First, their selection of hot breakfast drinks (tea, coffee, espresso) is impressive and delicious. Second, their food is amazing! I've had several items on their menu and have never been disappointed. One of my favorites is the chocolate, pecan waffle that they run on special. Just a note--get there early or be prepared to wait 20 minutes or so for a table. We ate here 3 times in one month so obviously we liked it. We would give it a 3.75 if we could rate it that way. We've tried the scrambled eggs, pancakes, breakfast burritos, and omelets. A few years ago I was able to eat here -outside, on the non-enclosed, partially in the sidewalk, eating area- with my elderly dog, but I guess they changed the rules. Too bad this is not mentioned anywhere on their website or on their Yelp profile, nor mentioned anywhere prominently at the restaurant itself. Another reviewer said they have postcards explaining why one can't eat with their dog on the tables, but one actually would need to be seated in order to read said postcard; I guess they don't understand that people are more likely to follow the rules and not waste their time if they're informed about said rules beforehand. FWIW, I've eaten here before sans dog and never saw said postcards, maybe those are new as well. Anyway, after waiting 20 minutes for a table outside with my kids, I was informed my table was ready but that our (leashed, trained, well-behaved) dog could not eat with us. Huh. Where was our dog supposed to go? We checked their website before coming specifically for the purpose of figuring out whether or our dog was welcome, and it said nothing. Since I was once able to bring my dog, and the website/Yelp profile said nothing about dogs, it wasn't completely unreasonable to expect to eat with my dog. It's really easy to inform your potential customers about the rules on your web site. In fact, one might argue that if a restaurant will go through the trouble of explaining their no-dogs-outside policy in a postcard, they could get that fact across on their site. That they didn't, and wasted 20 minutes of my family and I's time, means I'll never come here again, and it's why they get a one-star review. After all, there's a ton of places in Boulder to eat an average breakfast, with average coffee, after waiting 20 minutes. Some of them even let you eat with your dog. read more

We've been here several times and the breakfasts are great!!! Super food, fast, friendly service and the kind of morning people watching that only a town like Boulder can provide. We love the Republic of Boulder and her citizens! The young couple at the table next to us were just waking up to head splitting hangovers and had fortunately chosen to get sky-high stoned rather than indulge in the 'hair of the dog'. Good choice. Their entertainment value was priceless. The concept of pouring syrup had them spellbound. On the other side of us was a friendly family of four all back from a morning bike ride. Good for them! I joined coworkers here for lunch last week after a morning team bonding hike. I am always impressed by the stellar service and delicious food at this place, so when we were looking for something easy after hiking I immediately recommend it. Once again, they exceeded everyone's expectations. I had the turkey burger with apple slices on the side and was very happy with my choice. Yum! This place is really cute and has a nice outdoor area which is oh-so-perfect for the summertime. I came here for brunch on a weekday and it felt like a friendly, neighborhood diner. I was seated outside so I didn't get a chance to check out what the inside looked like, but it was nice to be in the fresh air. I tried the chai tea latte and the omelette special for the day, which had sausage, mushrooms, spinach, and just about everything I would wish for in an omelette. The chai came out super hot (almost too hot to touch the glass actually) but was super tasty. What totally surprised me though was the incredible side options! With many of the brunch entrees come 2 sides ranging anywhere from toast, fresh fruit, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, and more from what I remember. I ordered the fresh fruit and breakfast potatoes, which was perfect to balance out all of the savory flavors from my omelette. Food came out fast and was delicious! The potatoes are zesty and crispy and so flavorful, while the fresh fruit was quite literally an assortment of every fruit I can think of. Awesome little spot, and I'm glad I checked it out! Had some amigos come in from out of town so I decided to check out trusty Yelp for some reviews to get an idea on where to take them for their last breakfast in town. This place seemed the overwhelming choice and we got a great table the next morning. Place was busy, but not crowded, and everyone had a smile on their face. Our waitress was top notch and was efficient, but not too crazy with anything. She also did a great job of explaining the specials and her favorites, much appreciated! I got little bit of everything, and once it came out, should I say, Lil bit of Everythang. Hot damn was it good. Potatoes were great, Hobbits would be proud, we got served a massive biscuit that had the scrumptious mass of a small moon (Thats no moon, its a baked biscuit), and the coffee / espresso drinks were perfect. Great place, good service, good ambiance. Good for families, couples, or the lone breakfast warrior. I'm right down the street so I expect my wallet to be present at a table here again very soon. read more

AWESOME. I don't live in the neighborhood and drove 35 miles there, not once, but twice, because we went back the next day. They serve breakfast until 3pm and they'll never disappoint you. The orange juice was fresh and the coffee comes with fresh cream. Their potatoes are so tasty and the 3 slices of banana nut bread will fill you over the top. We live locally and have been going to both locations for over a decade, maybe two. The menu hasn't changed in years. And sad to say the last few years the food is nothing to be excited about. Last time we were there recently got a dish that had about an inch deep of what seemed like tomato paste sitting on top of an egg. We would love to see our local cafe get their groove back, revise the menu, take a look at what others are offering locally like Morning Glory. Keep the pies of course! read more

Every time I'm near Boulder during the morning I stop here if I have the opportunity. 95% of the times I have eaten here it's fabulous, there was a period of time that the quality dropped a bit but it raised back up. Staff is always friendly. Sometimes the place is crazy packed and you have to wait a bit. I always get the Skip Scramble, just can't seem it get past it. I used to eat here every Sunday when I lived in Boulder, but now it's a fairly rare occasion. Highly recommend! read more

Very glad I found this on Yelp! First time in Boulder, and was thrilled to have a delicious breakfast on my last day. The Ranch Eggs were excellent, especially with a little Cholula on top. Served steaming hot (there is nothing worse than cold eggs, right?), with generous side dishes. I especially loved the blueberry cornbread. I'm picky about my coffee, so I can't vouch for theirs, but I did order a delicious Oregon Chai latte. Yum! There was a 15 min wait, but the food came quickly once we ordered so it seems like they have a good system down. Two thumbs up! read more

My bff stopped here on our road trip for some brunch. It was awesome! I got the special scramble with Mexican spices, chorizo, cheese, salsa and tortillas. Yum! The coffee was great and I saw that they had a lot of baked goods, but in a rare moment for me...passed on it.
