First time visiting this office, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. The eye exam itself was fine--nothing particularly bad or exceptional. My biggest issue was with the billing and insurance process. I felt that the focus was more on collecting payment than helping me maximize my available insurance benefits and minimize my out-of-pocket costs. After doing my own research and asking questions, I learned that part of my services could have been submitted to my secondary insurance, which would have resulted in a refund. Had I not asked, I would have paid more than necessary. I value providers who are proactive in helping patients use their insurance benefits, not providers/clinics that have to be asked to use those benefits. For that reason, I'll be choosing a different office in the future. read more

Dr. Rahman provided exceptional care and education. She was warm and friendly. I really appreciated the extra effort she made to explain the reasons for her recommendations. My appointment was a walk in and I was accommodated within the hour. read more

Deceiving in pricing, front desk lady was extremely rude and needs additional customer service training. Be aware that they do charge extra for pictures, it's not an option and it's not covered by insurance. read more

Terrible terrible. Gave me the wrong prescription. Was not willing to accept her mistake and adjust it. Was stuck with tons of contacts that I never used. read more

I'm really happy with my service ! One of my best appointments ever with an optometrist ! And great customer service !

Broken record. They need to revamp the front office. I have called multiple times between yesterday and today and been sent to voicemail at the office. I have not gotten a call back. I have frames that have been ordered from Warby Parker- that I love... and am genuinely excited for-I usually hate the way I look in glasses, so it's frustrating to be delayed even longer. Warby Parker has already tried reaching out last week and this week as well- and no response. I order my contacts through the target optical purely because I enjoy the interactions with them and have had GREAT customer service from them. But now I'm ready to start driving back to my old office at the arboretum who had solid customer service. Sorry Target. This is such a shame because I reallly like this doctor at your location. She is passionate about her job and it really shows. Her front of office needs some major fixes. read more

I arrived 10 minutes early and was confused to be locked out. I was greeted and told due to COVID they only allow one person in at a time. I was seated inside the Target Optical center and given paperwork to fill out. Thirty minutes later I was finally seen. The exam went well until I was leaving and received an unwanted lecture on vaccinations. Overall, my time, values and privacy were disrespected from the moment I was locked outside. I should have left and gone to Wal Mart to see Carla. Lesson learned. read more

We just loves the special care and close attention to detail! Super friendly staff and receptionist is extremely friendly also. Definitely recommend !! read more

South Park Meadows Optometry - Loved our visit with doctor. We just found our new family eye doctor!! Recommend her to everyone!! Thanks again - Optometrists Near Me - Austin, Texas

Takes an appointment. Closes. Does not contact individuals with appointments. I have been expecting a simple vision exam for a month. I figured the exam needed to be scheduled to allow for distance between appointments. Hours posted at location say 10am. Appointment was at 10am today. Never opened. Called business. Voicemail says they closed. That would have been good to know before driving across town. read more

I love the staff and this is the first optometrist that actually addressed my symptoms and explained what I needed to do. I love the customer service and efficiency of the practice. I recommend them to anyone. Stephanie C read more

The doctor was good and thorough, but the receptionist was terrible. Made me feel dumb for not understanding my (brand new) insurance plan. She was overall so off putting and I will NOT be coming back because of her. read more

When is this place going to get rid of the rude receptionist? It's obvious majority of the complaints from this place has to do with the receptionist. She is always rude and is the only reason I don't go back to this place. The Dr. is nice and professional but as long as that receptionist is there I will find another nice and professional Dr. read more

Needed an impromptu eye exam after my glasses broke. Was able to get in here next day. There was a walk-in there and they took him in 10 minutes before my appointment, so I had to wait a bit. Minus one star for that... I made an appointment for a reason. Anyway all went well and 20 minutes or so later I had my prescription. read more

So you believe that the statement that was made by Carol, was an appropriate, clarifying question? I fully understand the need to clarify, but there is a direct way to ask these questions without offensive statements being made. I am saddened to hear that you find that to be professional and acceptable behavior. Now that I've taken the time to read other reviews left for your business, I see that I'm not the only one with the same complaint about your rude, condescending receptionist. Talk about a direct reflection of you and your business. Secondly, my apologies for bringing my "disruptive" son along to my appointment. Unfortunately, when you're a single parent...you don't always have much of an option. My wish for you is that you never have to encounter an active, "disruptive" child in your office again. (sarcasm) Best of luck. read more

I had a wonderful experience at South Park Meadows Optometry. I was in and out as a walk-in and new patient within half an hour. Dr. Rahman was super friendly and communicative. I feel like my eyes are in good hands with her! The best part was that they printed both my glasses and contact prescription for me to take home. Now ordering contacts or glasses online will be a breeze! Love that they didn't haggle me to order them through their office. read more

Amazing experience here! Dr. Rahman was was so knowledgeable and personable. She got me in and out of the exam quickly and answered all of my questions. She explained everything very well and even let me look at the pictures of the back of my eyes and described what I was looking at! I will most certainly come back to see Dr. Rahman! read more

After speaking to the Target managment staff, it seems they've had multiple complaints about the same individual working as the the receptionist here. You have one job, treat your customers with the service and respect they deserve. We did not get any of this here. I don't see how Target would continue to affiliate themselves with this type of service. Rudely pointing to a sign that says (prescription copies cost $5), with no words when asked for a copy. Then completely ignoring me when I asked what the reason was for charging to print a piece of paper. When ignored, I said "excuse me that was a question", she responded with "who are you"? I almost lost my mind. Again you have one job, smirking and laughing with the doctor in the back as she grabbed the $5 piece of paper is why I'm writing this. I've never experienced such rude and condescending behavior before at a business. read more

Shame on your Dr. Rahman for not telling Eyemed the whole story today. You offered to waive the fee, I declined, you discounted it, I agreed but I needed to make two payments. You committed to send the invoice and prescription via USPS. Neither have arrived. I learned (through Eymed) that you have chosen to not send my prescription until the non discounted fee is paid. I am disappointed that you have decided to renege on an Agreement made with a School Teacher. read more

Literally just had my first visit an hour ago and felt compelled to write a review. Dr. Rahman is awesome! I've had great eye doctors before and she's definitely one of the top. She's very personable and easy to talk to. Eye exams are pretty quick and efficient. She's located (not inside the actual store) at Target but outside, towards the curb/street. There's a sign that'll say "The doctor is in" or something like that. The receptionist is amazing as well. Very helpful. Anyway, her office is pretty tiny. There's a small waiting area with 2 chairs. Then you proceed to the exam room-- adequate spacing with all of the eye equipment stuff. Overall, I'm glad to have found my new eye doctor! read more

I needed an eye Dr. ASAP when I was having eye infections on and off with the contacts I had. I was new to Austin and made an appointment with Dr. Rahman. She tackled my eye issues right away. I was seeing her on a weekly basis and with my hectic work schedule and traffic she even waited for me one afternoon while traffic got me. She is the best eye Dr. In South Austin. She is a gem hidden in a little office at Target. It's been a year since my eye problems, I know its because she cared so much about helping me. I struggled with it for years. I went to her yesterday for my yearly exam and she is still the BEST!!! read more

I just purchased prescription from Target Optical. I had the best experience here. The manager Barry was so helpful and knowledgeable. There was a decent amount of options for me and best of all they were running a special in prescription lenses. My purchase was very reasonable for Rayban Polarized Prescription sunglasses. The best of all was the prescription came out perfect and I left the store wearing my new glasses in less than 15 minutes. Happy customer for choosing Target Optical Southpark for my prescription purchase. read more

Dr. Rahman was so amazing. She was pleasant and professional. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease, which is normally difficult when people are poking around at your eyes. The office was clean and very well kept. This was the first time I went to her office, but I will definitely be going back and telling everyone about how great the service was there. read more

I made a walk in Appt for Dr Rahman. She explained to me why what my other optician had told me was wrong about wearing contacts for the period of time that I have been. Tried to explain why my eyes were blurry was due to lack of moisture. I explained my rx was fine in glasses, but my right eye was blurry in contacts immediately it wasn't over a period of time. She then gave me these other brand contact lenses and tried to sell me on those since she didn't carry them ones I've worn for years. Additionally when she wrote the RX she wrote it for a different rx than what she gave me in the containers. She then gave me a lower rx on my glasses than what was currently on there that I said worked. When I brought it up she told the nurse she already spent enough time with me and I would have to wait. Excuse me. You are happy charging me over $100 for this with me now not able to get contact lenses or a new pair of glasses. I'm going to have to go pay my regular optician to redo my rx and throw out this useless rx. Waste of time and money. Zero empathy just a lecture and trying to sell you in what they have versus what has been time proven good for your eyes. Do not recommend. read more

This office is the smallest office I've ever been in... but I had the best quality eye exam ever! Dr. Rahman was very pleasant, and she really took her time with me. I will definitely be back to see her again. read more

Even though this is the tiniest office I have ever been in, Dr. Rahman is awesome! She is friendly but to the point. She discovered I really only needed help for my right eye and not both and I was in and out in about 30 minutes, although I am sure if I needed more time, she would have given it! If you are looking for a new optometrist, go see Dr. Rahman! read more

Both women in this office were awesome. The assistant was very friendly and welcoming and Doctor Rahman was great. I think my eyes have been different prescriptions for a while, but every time I have gone to another optometrist, they have told me it was the same. Dr. Rahman fixed my prescription. I've also had issues with my current contact lenses brand and she changed that for me, as well. You could tell she genuinely cared and I feel a lot better. I would definitely recommend. read more

Dr. Rahman was really genuinely awesome. The front desk person was also great, so I think if there was an issue with someone before that person must be gone. I felt like Dr. Rahman genuinely cared about getting me the right care for my issue, and I am glad to have found my new optometrist. She went above and beyond to be helpful. read more

This is the best eye doctor I have ever, ever had. She makes me feel so comfortable when I visit because I know she is going to get things done right. I've had contacts and glasses since I was young and never before felt that I was in such capable hands. In addition, her interpersonal skills are outstanding. My eyes are feeling better than ever before, my contacts and glasses are working perfectly for me, and I actually look forward to visiting. read more

I have seen several eye doctors over the course of my life and Dr. Rahman was the best yet! She spent a lot of time making sure my prescription was appropriate and that my contacts fit properly. Most of the optometrists that I've seen have treated me much more like a number and didn't spend the time to fine tune my prescription and get the fit of my lenses right. She also took the time to explain some things about the physical characteristics of my eyes and how to properly care for them. It was also very easy to make an appointment online. read more

Dr. Rahman and her office staff are fantastic. She was quick and accurate and accommodated all my requests even during follow up appointments. Glad I found a great eye doctor to rely on in Austin. read more

The optical department at Target is amazing. Both Dr . and eyeglass section. Very knowledgeable and the best customer service I have had dealing with eye exams, contacts and glasses. I recommend them to all my friends. read more

I have seen Dr. Rahman on several occasions and have always been treated with courtesty and respect. She is very personable and professional and takes the time to explain her exams and what is going on with your eyes (if anything). If she feels you need a referral to a specialist, that is taken care of in the wink of an eye. (no pun intended). I highly recommend her and her staff. Only downside is that she needs more space for her office. If she is busy and more than one other person is is in waiting room, you sort of have to climb over others to go into the exam room. read more

Seriously, if you are looking for a really dynamic optometrist, Dr. Rahman is your professional. I have had good doctors in the past, but Dr. Rahman's in depth, well presented explanations and easy, professional manner make her stand out. One visit and you'll be glad you made the appointment. Her office is located within the Super Target (attached to the eyewear center) so be sure to ask or you might miss it. read more

Took my buddy here to get an eye exam. He is 18 and does not have insurance but was having trouble seeing far away. The receptionist was super nice and the doctor was always really cool. It was fast and easy and we got his prescription on paper. The receptionist recommended we take a picture of it with our phones in case we lost the paper, which was a great idea . We had a great experience here. I think it was a little under $80 without insurance. read more

I walked in to this office yesterday and got an appointment right away. Both Dr. Rahman and her assistant were helpful and kind. My exam was thorough, painless and a really good value. The office is easy to get to by public transportation. It is also a added convenience that you can purchase your glasses or contacts right next door. This will definitely be my new eye dr. read more

Great experience with Dr. Rahman

What an amazing experience with Dr Rahman and her assistant. I have been to many Optometrists over the years and never have I had such a wonderful experience. Dr Rahman was so informative and taught me many things to help keep my eyes from drying out and she was more concerned with listening to me and fitting me with the perfect contacts then she was with anything else. I truly appreciate this experience and will recommend all of my family and friends to them. Thank you so much. read more

Dr.Rahman is so incredibly nice. She informed me of a condition that I've had the symptoms of for as long as I can remember, and directed me on the best way to combat it.
