Broken record. They need to revamp the front office. I have called multiple times between yesterday and today and been sent to voicemail at the office. I have not gotten a call back. I have frames that have been ordered from Warby Parker- that I love... and am genuinely excited for-I usually hate the way I look in glasses, so it's frustrating to be delayed even longer. Warby Parker has already tried reaching out last week and this week as well- and no response. I order my contacts through the target optical purely because I enjoy the interactions with them and have had GREAT customer service from them. But now I'm ready to start driving back to my old office at the arboretum who had solid customer service. Sorry Target. This is such a shame because I reallly like this doctor at your location. I arrived 10 minutes early and was confused to be locked out. I was greeted and told due to COVID they only allow one person in at a time. I was seated inside the Target Optical center and given paperwork to fill out. Thirty minutes later I was finally seen. The exam went well until I was leaving and received an unwanted lecture on vaccinations. Overall, my time, values and privacy were disrespected from the moment I was locked outside. I should have left and gone to Wal Mart to see Carla. Lesson learned. read more

I figured the exam needed to be scheduled to allow for distance between appointments. Hours posted at location say 10am. Appointment was at 10am today. Never opened. Called business. Needed an impromptu eye exam after my glasses broke. Was able to get in here next day. There was a walk-in there and they took him in 10 minutes before my appointment, so I had to wait a bit. Minus one star for that... I made an appointment for a reason. Anyway all went well and 20 minutes or so later I had my prescription. read more

I feel like my eyes are in good hands with her! The best part was that they printed both my glasses and contact prescription for me to take home. After speaking to the Target managment staff, it seems they've had multiple complaints about the same individual working as the the receptionist here. You have one job, treat your customers with the service and respect they deserve. We did not get any of this here. I don't see how Target would continue to affiliate themselves with this type of service. Rudely pointing to a sign that says (prescription copies cost $5), with no words when asked for a copy. Then completely ignoring me when I asked what the reason was for charging to print a piece of paper. When ignored, I said "excuse me that was a question", she responded with "who are you"? I almost lost my mind. Again you have one job, smirking and laughing with the doctor in the back as she grabbed the $5 piece of paper is why I'm writing this. I just purchased prescription from Target Optical. I had the best experience here. The manager Barry was so helpful and knowledgeable. There was a decent amount of options for me and best of all they were running a special in prescription lenses. My purchase was very reasonable for Rayban Polarized Prescription sunglasses. The best of all was the prescription came out perfect and I left the store wearing my new glasses in less than 15 minutes. I made a walk in Appt for Dr Rahman. She explained to me why what my other optician had told me was wrong about wearing contacts for the period of time that I have been. Tried to explain why my eyes were blurry was due to lack of moisture. I explained my rx was fine in glasses, but my right eye was blurry in contacts immediately it wasn't over a period of time. She then gave me these other brand contact lenses and tried to sell me on those since she didn't carry them ones I've worn for years. Additionally when she wrote the RX she wrote it for a different rx than what she gave me in the containers. She then gave me a lower rx on my glasses than what was currently on there that I said worked. When I brought it up she told the nurse she already spent enough time with me and I would have to wait. Excuse me. You are happy charging me over $100 for this with me now not able to get contact lenses or a new pair of glasses. I'm going to have to go pay my regular optician to redo my rx and throw out this useless rx. Waste of time and money. Zero empathy just a lecture and trying to sell you in what they have versus what has been time proven good for your eyes. Do not recommend. read more

Both women in this office were awesome. The assistant was very friendly and welcoming and Doctor Rahman was great. I think my eyes have been different prescriptions for a while, but every time I have gone to another optometrist, they have told me it was the same. Dr. Rahman fixed my prescription. I've also had issues with my current contact lenses brand and she changed that for me, as well. You could tell she genuinely cared and I feel a lot better. I would definitely recommend. read more

You committed to send the invoice and prescription via USPS. Neither have arrived. I learned (through Eymed) that you have chosen to not send my prescription until the non discounted fee is paid. I have seen several eye doctors over the course of my life and Dr. Rahman was the best yet! She spent a lot of time making sure my prescription was appropriate and that my contacts fit properly. Most of the optometrists that I've seen have treated me much more like a number and didn't spend the time to fine tune my prescription and get the fit of my lenses right. She also took the time to explain some things about the physical characteristics of my eyes and how to properly care for them. It was also very easy to make an appointment online. read more

Literally just had my first visit an hour ago and felt compelled to write a review. Dr. Rahman is awesome! I've had great eye doctors before and she's definitely one of the top. She's very personable and easy to talk to. Eye exams are pretty quick and efficient. She's located (not inside the actual store) at Target but outside, towards the curb/street. There's a sign that'll say "The doctor is in" or something like that. The receptionist is amazing as well. Very helpful. Anyway, her office is pretty tiny. There's a small waiting area with 2 chairs. Then you proceed to the exam room-- adequate spacing with all of the eye equipment stuff. Overall, I'm glad to have found my new eye doctor! read more

I needed an eye Dr. ASAP when I was having eye infections on and off with the contacts I had. I was new to Austin and made an appointment with Dr. Rahman. She tackled my eye issues right away. I was seeing her on a weekly basis and with my hectic work schedule and traffic she even waited for me one afternoon while traffic got me. She is the best eye Dr. In South Austin. She is a gem hidden in a little office at Target. It's been a year since my eye problems, I know its because she cared so much about helping me. I struggled with it for years. I have seen Dr. Rahman on several occasions and have always been treated with courtesty and respect. She is very personable and professional and takes the time to explain her exams and what is going on with your eyes (if anything). If she feels you need a referral to a specialist, that is taken care of in the wink of an eye. (no pun intended). I highly recommend her and her staff. Only downside is that she needs more space for her office. If she is busy and more than one other person is is in waiting room, you sort of have to climb over others to go into the exam room. read more

Took my buddy here to get an eye exam. He is 18 and does not have insurance but was having trouble seeing far away. The receptionist was super nice and the doctor was always really cool. It was fast and easy and we got his prescription on paper. The receptionist recommended we take a picture of it with our phones in case we lost the paper, which was a great idea .
