I love the décor of this place. I'm excited that they've finally extended their hours and started offering dinner service as of a couple of weeks ago. I've been here a few times and really enjoy the ambience. The food has been good, though there's definitely room for improvement and a lot of potential. During our visit today, the food came out lukewarm especially the sandwich and fries which was a bit disappointing, though we ate it anyway. Maybe it's just a one off for today. The pasta was good, and done el dente, was enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'll be back again, hopefully the food will be hotter and fresher.

Such a cute Italian market in the suburbs. The space is adorable and very inviting, and there are a lot of menu options to choose from. I have been here twice and have mixed feelings overall. The rigatoni vodka and the pear and arugula salad were solid, and the Italian Coke was really good. The eggplant panino had good flavor but was served cold, which was a little confusing. The spaghetti in creamy tomato sauce and the garlic parm fries were a miss for me. They are currently only open for breakfast and lunch, but dinner is coming soon. I would definitely come back to try breakfast and see how the dinner menu turns out, as the space alone makes it worth checking out.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to pick up lunch. Staff were so friendly, was greeted and explained the setup. I believe there's table service, but there's also a line to place orders for food to go. Instead of a typical menu they had all their pizzas, arancini and other appetizers, pastas, salads, and panini on display which was so helpful to see. Placed my order and within a few minutes it was ready to go! They had water and utensil station also while you're waiting. On recommendation of the staff I got the spicy rigatoni, truffle arancini, and a cannoli (half pistachio half chocolate) which seems to be freshly filled. Food was delicious, reasonably priced, and came out without much of a wait. The staff was so welcoming and helpful, you really couldn't ask for a better experience. They were setting up for live music while I was waiting which I'm sure is a nice addition to the meal too! Would definitely dine in for the full experience, I think their website has a list of the live music events!

This location of Sorelle opened the week before Thanksgiving, and I was surprised their hours are a bit limited right now, with no dinner service yet. It's 8am-5pm Wednesday through Sunday, so plan accordingly! A solid 4 stars for the Nutella croissant! Think flaky, buttery layers of pastry filled generously with that delicious chocolate hazelnut spread. Mmm mmm mmmm. Worth every bit of that $6. In fact, we stopped in twice in a week and had that goodie each time. The pistachio croissant is also one I highly recommend! The hot chocolate is $3-4 depending on the size, and you can request a kid temp (not as scalding hot). Set up is fast casual where you line up, order, and then get a number to take to your table. I'm not sure if there is table service or not. I would like to come back for lunch sometime to try a pasta dish. Pizza, sandwiches, and Italian appetizers are also available, and the wall has what appears to be an extensive wine selection. Very photo worthy decor with chandeliers and color plant hangings. Reminds me a bit of Alice in Wonderland x upscale dining.

This place has been many other restaurants in the Glen, but has a different concept that might actually work! They are only open for breakfast and lunch and you order and then find a table and they bring the food to you. Prices are reasonable, but get a seat first because when we went, we had to get it to go because there was nowhere to sit. Tried a little bit of almost everything but our favorite was the truffle fries.

I went here last night for the first time. It was awesome. The food was great. And the staff was very friendly too. And it is brand new. Some time in November of 2025 it opened so it hardly 4 or 5 months old. It looks very nice. And there is plenty of parking at the glen.

Amazing! There are so many great things about this location. First, very easy to get to. If you are familiar with The Glen, you will have no problem finding it. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and designed. Takes me back to my Italy visits. You place your order at the counter and you are handed a sign showing different Italian cities. Adorable! The staff will bring your order to you. I ordered a cappuccino and an apple turnover. Both items were delicious. There was a rather large group of us that went and the staff was gracious and assisted in moving tables and chairs to accommodate us. My experience was over the moon. Wish they were open more days.

I wish I had know they had focaccia bread as a side order I hope they served it with a bit whipped butter or olive oil and I would have liked if they had side salads. They could have them at one price for just a side salad and a discounted price with an entree purchase . I did not want to order an entree with a big salad I just wanted a complete meal without overeating. A written menu would also have helped I would have liked to see a bread basket for example for $2 or $3 per person. The live music was also a nice touch but the emphasis has to be on the food in a restaurant. For example if the customer does not see you have bread available it's like you don't have it. My favorite restaurants have the best bread baskets, Cheesecake Factory and Wildfire. Good enough food is not enough you have to aspire to a great complete meal to get people to come back again.

We have been excited for this location to open for several months now. It's very cute inside and everyone is very nice. The service could definitely be a bit faster but I think they're still working out the kinks. The food was all very good and tasted fresh. The minestrone soup was nice and came with two breadsticks. The meatball sandwich was great and the bread was the perfect texture. The desserts were by far the best. The panna cotta was rich and luxurious feeling. The tiramisu was good but I think the panna cotta stole the show. The manager came around to say hi and even offered every table a free croissant. We will definitely be back!

Great new spot at the glen! I love how it's an easy spot to get good food and their chicken arugula salad is fantastic! I wish their chicken vesuvio came with veggies but other than that no bad item on their menu!

Everything over all was delivery but some highlights from the shared dinner were the eggplant spread, the brussel sprouts, and date cake. Warmed pitas were seasoned well and texture was fluffy but not too soft where it wasn't able to hold its shape. I could have the sweet potatoes latkes everyday! The lamb ragu hummus and short rib were good but we found the actual protein was a bit dry and flavor subdue compared to their accompaniments. The spicy brisket kabobs were good but we were stuff so we had to slow our roll. The Date cake was delicious! Perfect amount of sweetness for those both sweet lovers and non lovers! 10/10 recommend. The greenhouse theme and twinkly lights were pretty. Now the service.... The server was kind, great attitude but poor service. Drinks were left empty, condiment requests were ignored or forgotten about, food and drinks items that were ordered were not told they were unavailable until after they were ordered (ie. Tea and lamb shashuka). Additionally, I was also charged for tea even though I I never had any but thankfully, they removed it. I had ordered tea and was initially told that they would be looking for the canister of loose leaf teas and then we were told that they didn't have enough canisters and too many canisters were broken. Um....ooookaaaay. We ordered two chicken kabob plates, grilled haloumi kebab and Moroccan onion dip. Their specialty drinks we got were: chocolate honey Carajillo, passion fruit spritz and then the say less. The drinks were delicious but a tad steep. Overall, food was delicious, they did skimp on the rice, I wish they added more. Their harissa was very good, spicy with a kick..would have loved it more if our waiter didn't forget the first time we asked for it. Chicken was well portioned, well seasoned and good flavor but it needed more rice to eat it with. The cheese was really good as well. Oh yeah, we also got the strawberry ricotta toast and that was....interesting. The cost to quality ratio needs work. The prices here are pretty steep and you get what you pay for here. Unfortunately, if the service is like what we received today then totally not worth it. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'm Glad I got to share with my family but doubtful we'll be back again with the exception to celebrate a special occasion, if that. Lastly, their take out container bag is super cute but that's not either here or there. Disappointing experience for a special bday.

The food came out fast and had so much flavor, for the price you really can't beat it. Though I'm more of a fan of savory I couldn't help but be intrigued by their sweet offerings -- the Dubai chocolate waffle? Churro waffle coated in cinnamon sugar? Banana bread French toast? The list goes on and on, these flavors are so unique and I can't believe that I can find them all under one roof. I had to try the carrot cake pancakes, and they truly tasted like carrot cake. Walker Brothers had special hours on Thanksgiving, from 8:00 am to noon. We arrived at 10:40 am, the line was pretty long, extending to the front door. This was expected, this was a great choice for breakfast or brunch for friends and families, especially on a holiday. There were about 6 tables ahead of us. Our wait was only 15 minutes. We were happy to be seated at a cozy but comfy booth in the middle of the dining room at 10:55 am. As soon as we got in, we already enjoyed the aroma of good coffee, butter, and delicious food! The vibe was warm, festive, and happy. As always, we were greeted by friendly staff. Maria, our server, was very friendly. She and her whole team were very efficient without rushing us. We were amazed that she constantly had a nice smile, and was attentive and pleasant the whole time, even though the restaurant was packed with families. We got one order of French Toast (my favorite), two orders of Strawberry crepes, one order of Farm-Style Sausages, and an order of Canadian Bacon. All three of us got coffee, that's always so good. The food and coffee came out quickly; everything was prepared to perfection. I dare to say that no one could beat their French Toast, something so simple but so delectable and satisfying. The portions were generous, we were happy to have leftovers. We are thankful that this Walker Brothers is doing so well and is close by. We will never get tired dining in there!

While there is an "in" and an "out" door, it seems that the host stand and cashier station are one and the same, resulting in a bunch of people queuing. Thankfully, one of the hosts/cashiers noticed, asked if I was waiting for a table, and I was promptly seated. It is perhaps a blessing that the menu lists calorie counts, for I would have ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancake without a second thought. Only it is 1,880 calories, and that's before the ice cream upgrade that's still tempting me as I read their menu. I ordered the Blueberry instead. What I liked about these is that they weren't overly sweet, and had a hearty amount of blueberries within. I'd also like to recognize that biting into them, I didn't encounter a spray of blueberry-gut-lava that's burned me when I attempted blueberry pancakes at home. However, while not bad, I found them in no way remarkable. Neither the textures nor flavors were anything to write home about. Rather than a gently crisp exterior and fluffy interior, they were instead similar to something between custard and cake. In terms of the service: I thought it was friendly, polite, and once the order was placed, the food came out in no time. Otherwise, the service felt a little inattentive. For example, after I said I needed just a minute to decide, the server did not stop by in longer than expected. Also, towards the end of the meal, it didn't click that I was to pay the cashier rather than the waiter... a little "D'oh" on my part, but a reminder would have been appropriate and welcome. As for the vibe: there is so much wood, if you dumped the restaurant into the lake, it would float! Adding to the vibe are some lighting fixtures with stained glass, and others are decorative, but mismatched, if not outright missing. Staff wore uniforms reminiscent of those seen in old movies. Final verdict: While I appreciate what Walker Brothers is trying to do, and their prices are reasonable, I do not feel the experience was enjoyable enough to warrant a return visit. Okay pancakes, and service that could use some polish are not enough, especially with many fantastic breakfast spots in Chicagoland.

I consistently used to order their Turkey Club, but at some point in the past few years, they switched from fresh cut turkey to deli turkey. It's not nearly as good anymore for that reason, and not worth ordering. The only Glenview restaurants I know of that still use fresh turkey in their sandwiches are Hackney's and Meier's Tavern. Also, their Guinness pours can be questionable depending on who's pouring. Nowadays, when I go to Grandpa's, I only ever order the Chicken Kabobs. They are absolutely delicious! If you like medium spice, I advise you to ask for them cajun-style. They are best this way! The kabobs come served over rice with the most juicy oven roasted tomatoes, and this addicting peanut sauce on the side. I pour it over the whole thing.
