I went for an early weekend breakfast at Eggspresso. It was my first time there. The space is large and bright. Our server was attentive and the food came out fairly quickly. The menu is large. We liked that there were healthier options and that cottage cheese was one of the sides. The food was ok overall. The hollandaise wasn't up to our standards and the fruit side only had four pieces of fruit, though the chunks were large. I'd go back again for a casual breakfast and to try out something new, but will pass on any of the Benedicts.

This is such a good breakfast spot! It's conveniently located in the Glen, the service was good, and we really enjoyed all of the breakfast food we tried! I had a Greek omelet and hash browns, it was great and the portions are huge. It's also very family friendly.

Soon after landing at ORD, my sister drove us over for breakfast (thanks for covering me! ). I had omelette with mushroom, broccoli, and Swiss. They are oven baked and look glorious and taste just as glorious. To up my protein, I had a side of cottage cheese and gluten free toast. We were in and out in under an hour. The service was quick and the staff were friendly.

The Greek omelette was exceptional, and HUGE. And the hash browns with it were great.

Been here several times and have had a great breakfast or lunch every time. Just went for breakfast and the berry berry oatmeal was delicious. That's not something you can say about oatmeal in general but it was very good. The Greek omelette was exceptional, and HUGE. And the hash browns with it were great.

The food is pretty good. We walked in and didn't originally plan to be there. The waiter was nice but it was very busy. We would go again for sure. Ambiance is a little loud because of so many people but the space it huge with higher ceilings. Clean environment.

Was out early this day and decided to get breakfast- luckily this place was open! (6am!) we were the first ones there so service was quick. Menu is extensive with different sections for breakfast and lunch, choices from crepes, waffles, pancakes, sandwiches, burgers, and more! I got the chilaquiles which were very good and authentic almost. The salsa had a little kick to it, making it even more enjoyable. I didn't even have to add cholula! Sister got the biscuits and gravy, which I usually don't like, but their gravy was flavorful and biscuits were soft! We shared a strawberry cheesecake waffle, which seemed to be a wheat waffle and the glaze but the perfect amount of sweetness, with the strawberries to cut it. Syrup wasn't even needed! Affordable and big plates! Decoration is nice, as there's airplanes places on the ceilings! Overall good experience! Street parking and there's a parking garage in the back for overflow.

Stopped by this place located at the glen. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. It was ok. Sauce was a little runny but overall was ok. Another person ordered the chilaquiles and omg the salsa was so delicious. We also order the strawberry cheesecake waffle. That was so delicious. The waffle had the crunch to it which made it better. Coffee was great too. We came in right when they opened, so we were the first and only ones there. Service was quick and everyone was very welcoming. I'll have to come back and try other things on the menu.

Decent brunch spot, lots of good breakfast options and some lunch options- mostly sandwiches and wraps. I liked they had healthy egg white omelets. Booth and table seating available, they also have a juicer and cafe bar upfront. Clean open dining area, random theme with planes hanging on the ceiling and out of state license plates on the wall. Not sure where they were going with all that, just a thought but overall service and food were good. Portions are big. $3 latte specials on Tuesdays! Bill for 2 adults and one child was $48.

    Kids' Grilled Cheese $6.99

A bit pricey for a family brunch, and the food was mediocre at best. Plentiful menu of food and beverage options. Lox plate was $16.99, which came with a plain bagel, cream cheese, cucumber, olives (odd addition), tomatoes, capers, red onion, and lettuce (another odd addition). The cream cheese serving was 25% less than at other places, and the red onion was dried out. Kids' menu was about $7-9 and had many breakfast (pancakes, eggs, French toast, etc) and lunch (mac and cheese, grilled cheese, cheeseburger) offerings. The burger was a hit with my older mini me, but the grilled cheese had a lot of bread to cheese ratio, and the cheese was barely melted. Fries are frozen, but they tasted just fine. Including my husband's chicken panini, the bill was $58 before tip. Service was a bit slow and inattentive, both to get our drink and food order, as well as a long wait to get our food. No friendly greeting or parting words as we came and went, which we experience at every other brunch place in the area. Restaurant was pretty packed around 11am on this weekday, and the noise level is energetic.

Outstanding place for breakfast or lunch. We had a wonderful server. Although, i think he was the only one serving the whole restaurant. We started outside but the bees were all around and we moved inside. I had a monster green smoothie. It was amazing. The food was really good. I never dined here but will definitely return.

I have to start off by saying I rarely give bad reviews but I just felt this was necessary. There's absolutely nothing to like about the food. The place is cute. It's nice to sit outside and that's why it gets a one star. The steel cut oatmeal was tasteless and watery. The only good thing about my entire meal were the blueberries and strawberries. So I spent a lot of money to eat a couple of spoonfuls of fruit. The bagel was not toasted enough. The smoothie was more like a milkshake, and it was thick and super super sweet. When it was brought to the table, I thought they had made a mistake and brought me a milkshake. I have never in my life not finished a smoothie. My husband said that his omlette was just OK. The hashbrowns were undercooked. So save yourself money and try some other place.

Almost every Saturday, I pick up my mother at her independent living facility, take her to the hairdresser, then out to brunch. She lives in Glenview, and we've been starting to try a few of the local brunch spots. This week, it was Eggspresso At the Glen. We looked at the menu on their website and the Yelp reviews and decided this was the place. It has a homey feel when you walk in. It was crowded when we arrived, and it cleared out quickly. So - The food: Mom is particularly fond of Eggs Benedict. Their selection of options was one of the reasons I chose this place. She wasn't that hungry, so she had a poached egg and toast. She ordered it "soft." When it arrived, it was like it was hard-boiled. The server was embarrassed and quickly took it back. She returned quickly with one that was done to perfection. (I can't comment on her toast :)) And she said her coffee was also good. And sorry - no picture. Me? After reviewing the menu (deciding between breakfast and lunch), I chose their eggs and sausage. The eggs were OK. What they brought was either two jumbo eggs or three regular-sized ones. They serve the eggs with hash browns. There were three large sausage links. While they were a bit greasy, I liked the peppery taste. Together, it made a very good meal I couldn't finish. All-in-all, a good meal.

The team is constantly circling the restaurant to make sure tables are cleared and food comes in a timely manner. We had people with allergies at the table and the team was accommodating and our food had the allergy labels in them. The team was very professional and kind! Food was so good! Everything over all was delivery but some highlights from the shared dinner were the eggplant spread, the brussel sprouts, and date cake. Warmed pitas were seasoned well and texture was fluffy but not too soft where it wasn't able to hold its shape. I could have the sweet potatoes latkes everyday! The lamb ragu hummus and short rib were good but we found the actual protein was a bit dry and flavor subdue compared to their accompaniments. The spicy brisket kabobs were good but we were stuff so we had to slow our roll. The Date cake was delicious! Perfect amount of sweetness for those both sweet lovers and non lovers! 10/10 recommend. This time around, we decided to head down there for dinner with our 7:15pm reservations. First off, it was super busy but we were promptly and warmly greeted by Ms. Ava who told us that they were clearing some tables for us. The interior decor remained absolutely stunning and I love the sounds of hustle and bustle alongside ambient lighting. When we got seated, our waiter, Taha, introduced himself and immediately put in my request for two Strawberry Rose Palomas, Lemonade, Moroccan Onion Dip in addition to the Hot Honey Holumi. Taha was kind and our drinks and small plates and hot mezze were delivered at the speed of light. I also want to note that we were constantly being checked up on, our empty drinks were filled up again, empty plates were taken away without us having to say anything. This alone deserved a gold star from me!! But I digress. The Strawberry Rose Palomas were strong but sweet at the same time. They weren't so watered down and were light and refreshing. My mom loved her lemonade although the caveat here would be to be a little lighter on the ice. Mmm.....the Moroccan Onion Dip was fantastic per usual. Tangy, succulent, all the same. The pita bread was so good as well. It was fresh and warm and we couldn't get enough. The Hot Honey Holumi was alright but I wasn't big of a fan. Besides the topping, it didn't really taste of anything and I think I could have done without it. When it came to the main meals, my dad and i ordered the grilled chicken kabob plate and my mom got the grilled branzino. When we received our food, my dad could not stop raving about how good the chicken kabob was. The rice was plentiful and the chicken was juicy, well portioned and big. Seeing as though I'm definitely a spicy girl, I ordered some extra harissa and it was delicious. Spicy and added a great kick to the chicken kabob plate. To continue on this savory journey, my mom absolutely loved her grilled branzino. It was so flaky and flavorful. It had been deboned and with the additional squeeze of lemon, it was absolutely delicious. It made my heart huge to see how satisfied my parents were with their meals. I, of course, loved my grilled chicken kabob. The chicken was cooked well with it being juicy, succulent and tender. It paired well with the rice which again was plentiful. The harissa was the perfect compliment. **Chef's Kiss** We finished the night off with the warm sticky date cake which was not too sweet but sweet enough. It was soft and gooey all at the same time. It paired nicely with the whipped cream on the side. I, as well as my parents, enjoyed it. With my overall experience this time around compared to my previous one was night and day. Honestly, the customer service this time around was light years different from my first experience which was not great and very unfortunate. Because of tonight, I could tell right away that this was an establishment who actually cared about the dining experience of its patrons. To me, a place could have the best food in the world but if the customer service lacks, your whole dining experience is lost. Although my initial experience here was not the best, this experience showed me that errors can be rectified and experiences can be turned around. Our overall experience tonight was great and I will definitely be back, bringing along others with me. The price here is pretty up there but like I always say; you get what you pay for and this experience is definitely A1 and well worth it. Shoutout to Jordan, Taha, Ava and the rest of the crew! Thanks for turning our dining experience around and we hope to see yaall again soon! Highly recommend coming here if you're into a modern, classy and high end dining experience with a fun little Mediterranean flair!

The food came out fast and had so much flavor, for the price you really can't beat it. Though I'm more of a fan of savory I couldn't help but be intrigued by their sweet offerings -- the Dubai chocolate waffle? Churro waffle coated in cinnamon sugar? Banana bread French toast? The list goes on and on, these flavors are so unique and I can't believe that I can find them all under one roof. I had to try the carrot cake pancakes, and they truly tasted like carrot cake. No syrup was needed, every bite had flavor and sweetness. I love that Brunch Cafe has gluten free options as well, and though I didn't try them I know they would be just as amazing as everything else. And it was tasty - my steak quesadillas and my mom got a house Cobb salad. Both were tasty and looked great. Our server Miriam was awesome with our orders, she came by to check on us and not too many times, and was there to help us with leftovers and leaving stuff. She struck a nice balance of not being there vs being here too often, so that's Ace's in my book. Since it was Mother's Day, it's crowded and a bit loud but not too loud where it was too obnoxious, except for a few people who had no manners at all on dress, but that's another topic I won't go to, for now. Tables, plates and silverware were clean, and one can still get around, even with one table behind us with a handicapped person, it didn't crowd up much at all - it was all very reasonably spacious. Definitely will come back here, though I do miss that older lady who was our server the last time before today, who was very nice - had a bit of an attitude to her personality but not too much to make it tasteless, some sass makes for an interesting day. While there is an "in" and an "out" door, it seems that the host stand and cashier station are one and the same, resulting in a bunch of people queuing. Thankfully, one of the hosts/cashiers noticed, asked if I was waiting for a table, and I was promptly seated. It is perhaps a blessing that the menu lists calorie counts, for I would have ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancake without a second thought. Only it is 1,880 calories, and that's before the ice cream upgrade that's still tempting me as I read their menu. I ordered the Blueberry instead. What I liked about these is that they weren't overly sweet, and had a hearty amount of blueberries within. I'd also like to recognize that biting into them, I didn't encounter a spray of blueberry-gut-lava that's burned me when I attempted blueberry pancakes at home. However, while not bad, I found them in no way remarkable. Neither the textures nor flavors were anything to write home about. Rather than a gently crisp exterior and fluffy interior, they were instead similar to something between custard and cake. In terms of the service: I thought it was friendly, polite, and once the order was placed, the food came out in no time. Otherwise, the service felt a little inattentive. For example, after I said I needed just a minute to decide, the server did not stop by in longer than expected. Also, towards the end of the meal, it didn't click that I was to pay the cashier rather than the waiter... a little "D'oh" on my part, but a reminder would have been appropriate and welcome. As for the vibe: there is so much wood, if you dumped the restaurant into the lake, it would float! Adding to the vibe are some lighting fixtures with stained glass, and others are decorative, but mismatched, if not outright missing. Staff wore uniforms reminiscent of those seen in old movies. Final verdict: While I appreciate what Walker Brothers is trying to do, and their prices are reasonable, I do not feel the experience was enjoyable enough to warrant a return visit. Okay pancakes, and service that could use some polish are not enough, especially with many fantastic breakfast spots in Chicagoland.

The patio is just okay, in my opinion. It's small and nothing is very special about it, but on a nice, sunny day, it's perfect for lunch. I've never been a huge fan of the indoor dining area either, and I usually opt to sit at the bar if I can. The staff is very kind. They have an excellent burger. It's always cooked right and I love the bun. I add avocado to mine. The fries are great too, and always the perfect amount of crispy. I consistently used to order their Turkey Club, but at some point in the past few years, they switched from fresh cut turkey to deli turkey. It's not nearly as good anymore for that reason, and not worth ordering. The only Glenview restaurants I know of that still use fresh turkey in their sandwiches are Hackney's and Meier's Tavern. Also, their Guinness pours can be questionable depending on who's pouring. Nowadays, when I go to Grandpa's, I only ever order the Chicken Kabobs. They are absolutely delicious! If you like medium spice, I advise you to ask for them cajun-style. They are best this way! The kabobs come served over rice with the most juicy oven roasted tomatoes, and this addicting peanut sauce on the side. I pour it over the whole thing. It is a must-try and no doubt the best thing on their menu. Highly recommend Grandpa's food, as most things on the menu are enjoyable. They also have Merkt's Cheese!

Then I tasted my hot beef sandwich. It was delicious and plentiful and even the mashed potatoes were acceptable. My sister had the special pot roast with egg noodles that was also great tasting with a lot of meat. Our server (I forgot his name) was excellent. He was concerned when we didn't like the soup or salad but was glad we liked our entrees. They also have a large case of desserts. We tried the baklava which was also delicious. We will definitely be back.

5 stars for Omega Restaurant and Bakery…read more This is a huge restaurant that is open 24 hours every day - they have breakfast, lunch, dinner and a full service bar & bakery and a video gaming area if you want to gamble! The menu is massive - they have so many different choices, you might be looking at it for a while if you don't know what kind of food you want when you come in! We tried the corn beef omelette and the pesto flatbread with Cesar salad - both were excellent and huge portions! We also tried the baked French onion soup - a big portion and the melted cheese on top was excellent. Our server was very friendly as well. 24 hour anything's are a rare thing nowadays post COVID, so this was a nice, convenient find. I highly recommend a visit to Omega Restaurant if you want a good place to eat anytime - day or night!
