Love it here this is me and friend's new place to go for brunch! coffee is excellent (not watered down or weak). service is quick for being very busy and food tastes delicious and robust portions. I recommend the eggs benedict with lox! staff is amazing and there's plenty of parking read more

Updated. We went here for Mother's day a couple years after our previous experience. Reading my initial review - wow how similar it was. We must have had the same waitress. It took a while to get drinks and then she disappeared after we ordered. We received our food 45 minutes after we ordered. Most of us ordered breakfast food. I had to track down the waitress to get the check. I'll give 1 star because nobody complained about the food. You would think by now they'd have it figured out. We only come to this place because they take reservations on Mother's Day and it's rather in the middle of where the family lives. read more

We visited this restaurant for breakfast twice during our trip to Illinois. The food each time was excellent. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Ambiance was so pretty. They have a dedicated space if you wanted to have a private party. Entrance is shared with a Greek restaurant, so don't be confused. There is ample surface parking. Will definitely be back when visiting again. read more

It was after 11am when our party arrived. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes until we were seated. We were immediately offered beverages and menus. There is a very extensive menu and for this visit, I opted for lunch while the rest of the party ordered breakfast. The portions are generous and most of us ended up taking part of the food to go. My Reuben sandwich was ok: the meat seemed pre-sliced as it was very smooth, and not jagged. The fries were a little brown for my liking. The rest of the party ordered Belgian waffle, apple pancakes, veg croissant, crepes, scrambled eggs. The food is fine, I wouldn't say we were bowled over, it was good. The side of pancakes seemed almost burnt (see pic). Our server was amiable; one dish took noticeably longer to arrive; the recipient on the fine line of hangry. There was a slight lingering acrid smell, almost burning, throughout. read more

First time here to meet a friend. Why is there no signage by parking lot? We both drove around looking for entrance. Our Omelets were very good-4* I ordered the hashbrowns crispy but arrived slightly under. My friend had the diced potatoes and felt they were overseasoned and too salty. The waitress didn't smile and it was obvious she didn't want to work. Orders arrived in a timely matter. Yet I really would like a welcoming smile and greeting. Tip meter low. read more

Why doesn't this place have a line out the door on Saturday mornings?! I place this on the top 3 of breakfast joints on the North Shore. The front entrance was greeted with a friendly man seating me immediately. The ambiance of the place is very country chic, and the tableware uses a real cloth napkin! My first thought was "oh my, I may not be dressed appropriately". The iced tea was fresh, and constantly refilled. The omelette was not so much an omelette but shaped scrambled eggs with ham and cheese. But it was perfection on a plate. The ham and cheddar omelette was perfectly cooked, with large chunks of ham off the bone, a strong integration of cheese and fluffy enough to stuff a pillow. The hash browns were also perfectly seasoned and cooked. The English muffin came to with a strawberry jam the perfectly reflected the rest of the meal. For those with kids, the table next to me had activities for the kids, and enough room that everyone wasn't on top of each other. Lastly comes the price... more than enough food for what I paid. I couldn't eat it all. This is now my number one breakfast place. read more

All is always good and you get good Portions for what you pay for. I especially like their skirt Steak And their skillets.

Was craving a meat lovers omelette. The omelette was cooked well. The pancakes as a side were very thick, even with the syrup to sop them up. Fruit was also something requested on the side and I liked the cuts of pineapple and cantaloupe. When I arrived I was greeted and I felt the warmth. I would come here again. read more

Went here Saturday morning between 9-10 am, we were greeted and seated immediately. The menu is extensive, it took awhile to decide since we had not been here before. Service was good, we got our food quickly, everything was good but they don't know how to do an egg over medium. Would go back if we're in that area again. read more

I'd like to give this business an "incomplete" if I could. I have a couple valid complaints, but they're easily corrected with a slightly different experience. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it wasn't great. It basically disintegrated after a few bites, and I'm of the opinion that a good burrito or sandwich should be able to hold itself together and not fall apart into a mess. It did come out piping hot, though, and the salsa it came with was a nice counterbalance to somewhat bland flavor. The other guests at my table enjoyed their food. My kids ordered crepes that were HUGE, so I helped myself to a few bites and they were great. (there was enough left over to take care of breakfast the next day) In short, I would definitely want to come back and try something else. I mentioned to the server that I didn't love the burrito -- I ended up eating less than half -- and he took it off the bill on his own initiative. This was not something I asked for or expected, but appreciate the good service. One other item to note: we were seated at a table where the hinged leaves can be folded up to make for more space, turning a square four-top into a round table that can comfortably seat five to seven people. The hinged leaves, though, did not stay level with the center of the table. There was a noticeable downward slant, and therefore real concern that any drink or plate balanced on the folded up part of the table was in danger of sliding off. If you're easily annoyed by drafts, sit away from the front of the restaurant. read more

This really is a great breakfast spot for all occasions. A really nice ambience for a nice brunch with friends and/or family makes for a good experience. The food is great, too! Classic breakfast and brunch favorites - I got the eggs Benedict and it was really enjoyable. Great parking situation and ample seating inside, but I was not impressed with our waitstaff. Our server was attentive and timely, but she kept rushing us to leave. She asked several times if we wanted our bill and after bringing it over, checked several more times if we had paid yet. I'm not sure if she was just in a rush herself or truly wanted us home. I was having a get together with family members I hadn't seen in close to a year, so we were hoping to spend some time together. Overall, a good experience and I'd come back for the food. read more

Absolutely my favorite breakfast place in OKC!! The grits are some the best I have had and I love grits. The service is stellar as well..

If I could give them negative stars I would. I was there with a group of 10 this morning. The menu is very impressive. I settled on eggs Benedict. They were very bland with only about a teaspoon on hollandaise sauce. I had to ask for more and was given maybe less than 1/4 cup. The lady next to me also asked for some and she never got it. Our server Tammi was very rude and unfriendly which was not very inviting for a return visit. Also it's not marked very clearly, it shares a space with Dimitri's. The signage that is there is not very visible. They automatically added a 20% tip which is understandable since we all had separate checks. Which is lucky for our server because I wouldn't have given her that much. NEVER AGAIN read more

Scrambled is located right next to Portillo's on Lake Cook Road. I believe this place use to be some Greek restaurant of sorts, as I saw old signage for "Demitrius" or something like that, with even a waiter who still had the old black polo shirt :-D Scrambled has a pretty decent brunch menu, offering skillets, omelettes, crepes, french toast, waffles, pancakes, and more. I went with the house french toast, which consisted of Brioche Bread, Pastry Cream, strawberries, and syrup. It consisted of three pieces of bread, cut diagonally. Overall, enough food for this guy. Staff was friendly, and the coffee refills were on point. The overall decór and setup was great and I enjoyed the dining experience quite a bit. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the front entrance, the bathrooms were good. There is a normal height urinal, and a urinal of giants. I'm 5 foot 8, and this urinal would require a ladder to use. Usually there is a normal adult height urinal, and a kid height one. I thought it was funny. Plenty of stalls with high partitions, so you can do a number 2 and scroll through Instagram in peace. I have been to this restaurant in its former earlier versions and predecessor names and perhaps various predecessor owners. And it's newest reincarnation it is still a breakfast spot however the interior has received a lightening up and slight renovation. Further the menu appears to have expanded beyond the traditional breakfast items. Came here on a Sunday for the first time with a large group and luckily they took the reservation. However despite our large group we did not have the small private room to ourselves as there were two other parties in the space. The waiter was very quick and personable. The menu has something for everybody so it was great to see that it has expanded with the new ownership or perhaps new perspective on the business. I have only added three pictures out of the total 20+ dishes that were ordered that day for brunch. The veggie crapes were delicious and very generous considering the fair price point. The chicken and waffles were also delicious because the chicken was not dry and properly coded and fried. The waffle was fluffy as were the pancakes that were delivered to the other people at my table. I will definitely come back here again and try other dishes. read more

Very good. They redecorated and renamed the restaurant space (located in the same building as the deliciously tasty Demetri's) and they're serving up some tasty breakfast and lunch fare. Yeah, a lot of it is the same food you'll find at similar breakfast/lunch restaurants, but the portion sizes and quality are a notch higher here, IMHO. You'll find omelettes, skillets, sandwiches, salads, soups. I enjoyed the corned beef hash and some scrambled eggs. Not knowing what the portion sizes would be, I also ordered toast and potato pancake. The toast and potato pancake ended up going home with me. Service is great. It seems like every time we took a sip from our coffee cup, the waiter was there refilling it again. Overall, a nice place to try. They did a nice job redecorating. I recommend. If available, try getting seated in a booth along the south side of the restaurant...pond view. read more

If you're looking for a diner and you're in the neighborhood this place is as good as any. They offer your standard diner fare, with a couple of extras; for example a veggie burger and the avocado toast (which I ordered) was a little different with the addition of sunny side up eggs, radishes and hot sauce. My avocado toast was presented nicely and tasted good, maybe could've used more of the hot sauce. My partner's eggs were good and came with a small side of toast. My waiter was good. He came right away with the offer of drinks and he was attentive throughout. The place was clean if not a little dated (the decor). Seating and parking is plentiful. read more

If you're eggs Benedict guy... I'd give this Eggs Benedict Florentine a 6/10. Eggs were just a bit too well done, and barely any hollandaise sauce. Flavor is almost there, but c'mon hollandaise sauce needs to be smothered. Service was good though. read more

Nothing special. Regular drip coffee. I was offered flavored creamers so I was thinking those tiny cups but nothing came out. I had to ask for a refill. Mediocre jam for toast. read more

I dine at Scrambled 2 to 3 times a week. The food is always delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. This is a family owned restaurant. Living around the neighborhood my whole life, it's actually a shame we haven't been here sooner. Everything was delicious, and this is actually one of my favorite breakfast spots to go to right now. The only reason why I give the place 4 stars is due to the service, where we felt rushed and that the workers wanted as out as soon as possible. A bill was slapped down on the table right when we only began eating. It's understandable, considering it was in the morning and there was a rush, but still. In a dining environment, to me it matters that I feel comfortable and that I want to take my time. Regardless, I'm coming back. Amazing place read more

First time at Scramble and I can confidently say it there will be plenty of more visits for my go to place for breakfast. It was fairly empty for a Monday morning at 8am. I enjoyed the ambiance of the place and was greeted warmly by host and my server Christos. The columbian coffee was delicious and smooth. My Turkey egg white omelette was even better. The serving size is very generous and tasted great. A nice touch with the mix greens let this meal balanced. I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed a breakfast this much before and my server Christos was attentive. I spoke with the Manager today (wished I had gotten his name now) and raved how amazing breakfast experience at Scrambled was. I believe In culture starts at the top and the managers welcoming warm demeanor matched the dine in experience. I have paid the same amount for a same kind of meal at Egg harbor, and scrambled is worlds apart better in every facet. They have made new customers or should I say fan of this place! This place is 'newer' in Deerfield but I can confidently say I will be coming back. 1) I like that they have the Yelp check in online so you can reserve seating which makes things so much more convenient when meeting people at a restaurant. Also have plenty of parking. 2) Service was great, waitress was attentive and friendly. 3) food was delicious! I went with the Eggs Pomodoro (baked eggs in marinara) and it is surprisingly filling! Was seasoned really nicely and comes with toast to dip into the marinara. The rest of my party also was satisfied with their meals. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Hubby and I were looking for a new place to eat breakfast. We unexpectedly found this restaurant just 1 mile from our hotel. Just got back from having a very delicious breakfast. Oh my GOODNESS! The restaurant has such a pleasing atmosphere along with the jazz music playing softly in the background. Our server was very pleasant to us and we were greeted promptly. The buttermilk pancakes with fresh blueberries and strawberries MELTED in my mouth. I also had the egg white turkey omelette, which came with a small garden salad and fried potatoes. I also got the coffee with cream and hazelnut syrup (what a nice treat)! My hubby had the corn beef hash skillet with eggs over easy on top. All I can say is WOW! We came up to Deerfield for the first time in over a year and, instead pf the (former) Eggshell Cafe, we found"Scrambled." The decor has been updated nicely - a warm and welcoming Mediterranean/Greek feel. The menu includes a good number of interesting takes on familiar breakfast/brunch/lunch dishes: The BLT Benedict looked fascinating as did a number of the skillets. The Croque Madame was outstanding. The Béchamel did not overpower the Swiss cheese and the bread was still firm, not soggy. The Chiliquilles were as good as I've had anywhere. Just a hint of "hot" without being overpowering; the tortilla chips softened without being mushy. The soups were all flavorful and thick, without being gunky. The service was friendly and prompt. Overall, it was an excellent meal and I highly recommend Scrambled. read more
