I'm a huge fan of their city locations so glad they made their way to the North Shore. Wilmette is just getting all the fun stuff lately! I stopped in for a late lunch although was in the mood for breakfast and was happy to see they had a breakfast all day menu. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and took a seat in this adorable space - and minutes later was enjoying it. It hit the spot enough for me to avoid all the amazing looking pastries (not easy). First time at this location. It's as good as all the other places in the city. It's a pretty good size place so there's lots of seating. The menu is pretty extensive. I ordered the tuna salad plate. Delicious! A huge scoop of very delicious tuna salad was accompanied by poached, egg, couscous, cucumbers, and avocado. There were Parmesan crackers on the side. It just might be my new favorite. You go to the counter, order your food, and then they deliver it to your table. Food came rather quickly everybody working there wanted to do whatever to make you happy. I think this is my new favorite place! Bright, colorful, inviting to start. Pleasant, efficient and helpful staff. Comfortable seating. The bathroom was awesome! I had visions of the old Corner Bakery's restroom that needed a lot of TLC towards the end. Now, it's bright, colorful and definitely updated. read more

At long last, they're open! I really enjoyed my visit here! The cafe is so cute and has many options for to-go snacks as well as a nice array of entrees and of course, coffees. The bananas foster latte was delicious and the Santa Monica turkey sandwich was also pretty good. Definitely worth checking out! read more

This is the new location in Wilmette. It's spacious inside with plenty of seating. It's in the plaza so there is free parking. The menu is huge but I settle on the protein bowl. You order at the register and the staff then brings your order to your table. Desserts were great. Coffee was good. Protein bowl was just okay. The quinoa needed more seasoning. All of it tasted kind of bland tbh. My husband had a salad and he said it was okay. We ordered a few bakery items to share amongst us including the carrot cake, Dubai brownie, and some others. The bakery items were great. The baker is better than the goddess here. read more

Randomly walked in here on a Thursday evening after lunch, rush and this place is absolutely aesthetically beautiful. It was also great to see some tables outside especially on this nice sunny day to be able to enjoy a meal. However, since this was our first visit, we walked in and took in all the immediate pastries, and went straight to Ordering and took everything to go. Even though we took everything to go, I have to say every single member of the staff whom we interacted with was super friendly, very helpful and very accommodating. For example, they had packaged all the pastries into one box and because we had forgotten to tell them to separate things. So we took it back to the counter and they were so nice to separate everything for us. Further, since it was our first visit, the two people at the cashier were helpful to tell me to sign up for the rewards program because once you sign up, you immediately get $10 to take off your first order which obviously I took advantage of. The place is so bright and clean and looks amazing. The menu is very extensive and detailed and I absolutely have to come back and to enjoy a meal inside as there were a few patrons sitting inside as well as outside. This place looks amazing and I can't wait to try all the pastries just from the looks alone and the aesthetics of the pastries this cannot disappoint. read more

Really cute new addition to Eden's Plaza! Bright airy and fun dining area with ordering at counter. They have a decent selection of pastries and the rest is by menu. I wanted to try their chocolate croissant which was brought to the table warm. Little did I know that it was totally filled with a cup of Nutella!! Toooo much. Too sweet. Left most of it on the plate. Kind of disappointing for a $7 croissant but I'll be back to try their lunch menu which looks pretty good! read more

First time visit. Beautiful spot. Ordered Goddess chopped salad. Chopped core of romaine. Difficult to eat. Very watered down, had no flavor. Avocado was slimy. 6 min egg, ice cold. Daughter had a wrap with fries. The wrap was alright but fries, cold. Manager apologized then offered free pastry. Very nice but the piece of cake was stale. Not returning. read more

This should be a Goddess and the Grocer. It would do WAY better in this area. I used to live in Bucktown and it was amazing. Brought my mom in here with high expectations due to this and we both were disappointed. This place is total crap. Nothing seemed fresh, it was the equivalent of Panera. I stopped in for the first time the other day and it was a mixed bag. The restaurant has a nice space: light, bright, and airy. I ordered a breakfast sandwich at the counter. It had eggs, bacon, hash browns, grilled onion, maybe a couple other items. The payment system prompted me to tip at the counter with the default set at 20%. I went ahead and added the tip, assuming some sort of service was forthcoming. The young lady from the counter dropped my food at my table and walked away. The sandwich seemed to be mostly hash browns which were piled high and made the sandwich impossible to pick up. I looked around the table for silverware, nothing. I wandered around a bit looking to see if they had a self serve situation and couldn't find any. I finally decided to ask at the counter. The woman at the counter, who I assumed gets my tip, hardly acknowledged my question turned around and grabbed some wrapped silver ware they keep behind the counter and gave it to me. I went back and tried the sandwich. As I mentioned, it was mostly hash browns and was on the bland side. I ended up with a plate of hash browns and wanted a little ketchup.... And my next search began. I found the bottles of Ketchup lined up on a bussing station across the restaurant and took one. At the end of the experience I felt like I definitely worked harder than the woman at the counter on the service portion of the meal. I want to preface by saying that I've been to your downtown locations and this one is just not up to par. I've had some of the salads and they just not as good as the ones downtown, and seem to be smaller. I've also had your muffins and they're so incredibly dried out and sandy tasting next to the same ones downtown. I brought home a cinnamon roll for my husband, and he said it was the worst, driest cinnamon rolls ever had in his life Then I got a latte and it was awful. It was a hot plain latte, and it tasted chalky and lukewarm, and was full of air, with a bitter flavor. My husband tasted it. He said it was horrible. The staff are nice but they seem kind of lost, and if you ask them about something on the menu, they don't know anything about the item. So I think management really needs to get over here and get the act together with the staff. It's really unfortunate because it's a beautiful place and a really nice location and I was really looking forward for months to this place, but it just seems to have some major growing pains. Tried this spot yesterday. Some good and some bad. Nice variety of menu items and baked goods though a lot was just inartful. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. The avocado was brownish, the bacon not crispy. The bread was greasy, had sour dough and it was oily. The sandwich was flavorless. Coffee is plentiful, self-serve refills are offered which is nice. The coffee itself was a bit acidic and not delicious. The music was too loud, would be very difficult to work in this atmosphere. It was a sunny day but we couldn't sit outside as most of the tables were in direct sun and they need more umbrellas or an awning or something. Overall the experience was mid. I go to the downtown locations for lunch sometimes so I was excited that a location opened up in the burbs. It's the perfect place for me to come for brunch after a morning on the beach. It's busy, fast paced, and a lot going on but that's a good sign in my opinion. Plenty of tasty things on the menu whether is just a sandwich, or full on breakfast. read more
