    Stone fruit caprese
    Diana M.

My friend and I just recently ate at Sorelle, we were visiting from SoCal. The drinks were amazing but the food was absolutely delicious. The ragu was hands down the best pasta I have ever had...better than what I ate in Florence, Italy and that was incredible. The stone fruit caprese was also refreshing and good. We got lucky to grab a couple of bar seats because there were no reservations available, we are happy we got to eat at Sorelle.

We had an amazing dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Everyone we interacted with was incredible - especially Virgil our server. We really appreciated the complimentary Prosecco and tasty baked goods. Everything we ate was outstanding and beyond delicious. The bread service lived up to the advanced praise we read, and the caprese salad with peaches was a perfect way to pave the way for our mains. The Rigatoni Frutti da Mare and the Tajarin al Ragu were both exceptional. The homemade pastas had that perfect texture and "tooth." The delicious chunks of seafood in the lobster brodo coated the tubes a goodness perfectly. And the bolognese tasted like it had been simmering for hours, developing the flavors to perfection. We ended with the Zeppole e Caffe, having to show restraint to not lick the bowl. An absolutely amazing experience, top to bottom.

We had the best date night at Sorelle on Broad! From the moment we checked in with the hostess to our server, the staff was amazing, funny, and made the whole experience refreshing and exciting. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We had a 9:30 pm reservation and I was a little worried about parking, but the nearby parking garage was an easy walk and felt safe both ways. I was also concerned about their 10 pm closing time, but the staff reassured us they stay open until everyone is taken care of, served, and comfortably finished.

I can see why this place is Michelin rated. We just stopped in for lunch and the tea and pizza was delicious. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors and prompt service. All of the food looked delicious.

Loved every course! This is a great spot to celebrate an anniversary or special occasion. The menu does change occasionally, but everything we've tried has been amazing. Service is above and beyond as well. We had the patio booked, but due to the weather we had to sit inside. They moved us to corner booth that overlooked Broad St which was still lovely!

We had a delicious meal here. Really nice setting and great option for celebrations. The bread, tuna crudo, zucchini parmesan, burrata pizzette, sorelle spaghetti, swordfish, flounder, and potatoes were all great. It's rare to order so many dishes and have them all hit. I unfortunately forgot our waitress' name, but she was great as well.

Sorelle was hands down one of the best restaurants we've been to--not just in Charleston, but anywhere. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The homemade pasta was fresh and perfectly prepared, the appetizers were outstanding, and the cocktails were delicious, refreshing, and complemented the meal beautifully. Our favorite dish was the chicken Milanese, which was absolutely incredible and something we'd 100% order again. Our server was enthusiastic, attentive, and genuinely seemed excited to make sure we had a great meal. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. This is a restaurant we'll be recommending to anyone visiting Charleston, and we can't wait to come back.

Our coffees were amazing! 10/10 for their seasonal drinks, we always love to try the seasonal/daily specials. It was slightly chaotic to wait in line, but the line was well worth it. Perfect location right next to King Street, so it's a perfect pit stop during a shopping day

Sorelle is my favorite coffee shop in charleston! I stop by every time im in town and treat myself to their special latte of the week! Their pastries are super yummy and the staff is always friendly! I tried the chocolate croissant today and it was super fluffly and rich! The restaurant and cafe are beautiful and I need to come back and try their dinner soon! It is a superrr popular spot so just prepare for a line, but it moves super quick and is 100% worth the wait!

Came back to Sorelle for dinner and it completely missed the mark. Our flounder arrived cold, the tuna had zero flavor, and the pasta was... just pasta. Nothing stood out. I also had pretty high expectations for their service, and that fell short too. They were clearly trying to deliver great service, but the execution just wasn't there. There was a lot of miscommunication, our dishes were brought to the table next to us three different times and then handed back when they realized the mistake. On top of that, the manager interrupted our main course to make small talk while I was taking my first bite. I usually appreciate that kind of interaction, but the timing felt off and inauthentic. Overall, you can tell they want to get it right, but it's just... not there.

Came here for our one-year anniversary in May, and it was such a memorable experience that I had to come back on Yelp to review it :) When we first arrived at Sorelle, my boyfriend and I were waiting in line to speak to the hostess. A tall man in a grayish-blue suit was already speaking with her, and when he noticed us, he apologized for "being in the way." We assured him it was no problem at all and that we definitely did not mind! And then he left. We didn't think much of it at the time. Fast forward to dinner: we were seated outside on the patio, which was absolutely beautiful. It had this charming old-town feel and was perfect for people watching. I have quite a few food allergies, and I was so grateful that the staff was accommodating and helpful with recommendations. I ended up ordering the Potato Gnocchi (modified to be dairy- and shellfish-free), while my boyfriend had the Tajarin Al Ragu. The gnocchi was hands down the best I've ever had, it was perfect in every way. I may have eaten it a little too quickly, but I have no regrets! The biggest surprise came at the end of the night when we asked for the check. Our waitress told us that our entire dinner had already been covered. My boyfriend and I were stunned, this had never happened to us before. When we asked who it was, she said it was a man in the lobby. Immediately, we looked at each other and said, "Was he in a grayish-blue suit?" She confirmed it was. We were blown away by the generosity of this stranger and wished we could have thanked him. It truly felt like the most beautiful anniversary gift. We will 100% be coming back here the next time we're in Charleston!

The food was really good! We had the Italian hero and the Caesar sandwich. It was amazing. The Caesar sandwich was a 9/10! The bread was toasted perfectly! The Italian hero was definitely 10/10. Would've liked mayo but I understand those sandwiches don't usually have mayo. The raspberry pastry was 8/10 but the pistachio was 10/10. The weekly matcha was 1000/10. As someone who have never had matcha before, it was phenomenal that I'm literally craving it again as I'm writing this review!! The service was amazing!! They were so nice and so helpful. I spoke to them for a while and they recommended items to me and we spoke about just random things. The place itself was so nice, they have a nice seating area outside and the inside is so beautiful!! Definitely give it a try!!

Best Italian spot I have ever been to. With a unique menu, every dish is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser. We had a large group for a bachelorette party, and they provided a private room with helpful and friendly service. We had people in our party who are gluten free and vegan, and everyone had a meal to enjoy! The restaurant itself is beautiful and classy. Every single person said their meal was the best. My baked rigatoni was delicious. After tasting around, we all agreed the TAJARIN AL RAGÙ was the best pasta on the menu.

I haven't had it but last time I was in, the server mentioned gluten free pasta!

Is wine corkage allowed and if so how much per bottle?

Yes $45 as of now I believe, just depends on how big the bottles and how much you bring.

How much on average per plate?

I don’t know exact average but would speculate $30 ish. My friend and i had the sourdough trio, split an appetizer, and one pasta each. She had a glass of wine. Bill was $50 something each- (we split down the middle. With a bottle of wine and an…

I honestly did not think that the blue crab ravioli was anything special. In fact I could have skipped that dish and had been fine and would've had more room to finish the shrimp in the boulliabase. Wife's bavette steak was excellent with the peppers. Potato purée was not worth the price at all. $16 for some pretty good mashed potato's, I don't care how good a potato is or who you are, that's just insane to me. Last complaint was there was a film of dust lining the wall we were sat next to. So all in all, some really good dishes. My friend and I sat at our table for about 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I finally flagged down a waitress, who apologized and explained they were short staffed. She took our drink order, and then a different server came over later to take our food order. I ordered the Mediterranean wrap with no onions, but it came out with onions anyway. Our server was nowhere to be found, so I started picking around them and eating the wrap. A few minutes later, she came back with the corrected wrap, but by then I'd already started eating the first one. The flavors of the wrap were actually good, but the texture of the chicken was awful. It was so off putting that it honestly made me nauseous. I only managed a few bites before I was done, and no one ever asked if everything was okay or why I had barely touched my meal. That said, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The atmosphere is what really stands out. It feels like you're dining inside a church, and I believe it actually is a restored church. Between the stained glass, the artwork, and the writing on the walls, it's a really unique and impressive space. I'd probably come back for drinks because the bar looked like it had a great vibe, and the bartender seemed to be providing excellent service. Next time, I'd definitely sit at the bar, but I don't think I'd order the food again.

It's modern, fresh and the staff are nice. I give the entire place 4 stars because their food is good, I did try something I never had before that I would give a 3 star rating though. I decided to get the blueberry glazed chicken wings. The staff said that they were amazing and that the blueberry sauce was like a bbq sauce with a hint of blueberry. I thought why not. I love a good chicken wing. The chicken was cooked well, it was moist in the center but it was like the chicken was swimming in blueberry puree. There was little bbq sauce flavor and tasted like straight blueberries, what was more disappointing was the sauce was so drenched on it that the crisp of the wing was gone, it was soggy. No one likes a soggy chicken wing. If I ever got these again which I probably wouldn't, I would ask for the sauce on the side or light sauce. This place is worth going to if you're in the area, the food is good and staff are nice, but I would stay away from the wings in my opinion.

Upon entering, the restaurant was VERY dimly lit with a tavern-like aesthetic. We started with drinks: a hugo spritz and a campari spritz. Both were good! Unfortunately, things kind of went downhill a bit after that--not because of the food, but mainly for the service. Our waitress seemed annoyed with our party from the get-go. To be fair, some of our friends did arrive about 25 minutes later than expected (from another Spoleto event), but we were very up front about their delay upon arriving to the restaurant. Beyond that, our waitress just never smiled and always gave us looks that just made us feel like a burden. The menu is also poorly organized. Appetizers are not separated from mains--which is annoying when you're deciding what you want (thinking it's a main when it's not). For appetizers, we ultimately ordered the lowland biscuit, the celery salad, and the yellowfun tuna + snapper crudo. All were very tasty and well made! The celery salad is so refreshing! But that biscuit is absolutely delicious! We loved all of them! For my main, I split a tavern burger with my sister. Also very good and very cheesy! Our friends ordered drinks and the butterscotch desert. We all enjoyed the food, just wish the menu was better delineated and the service was better. For my campari spritz, and splitting the appetizers/main, I paid $91.60 with tax and tip. Given that Charleston has so many amazing restaurants, I'm not sure my first choice would be to return here purely due to the aforementioned. I'm giving them 4/5 stars purely for the food.
