Food and service. I was pleasantly greeted upon arrival. My first time here, I didn't know what to expect. It was late afternoon and the is place is quiet and comfortable. I ordered the Hawaiian Poke bowl with tuna and salmon, crispy onions, cucumbers, carrots and rice. I took a look at it before leaving in case I needed sauce and glad I did. It didn't have sauce on it but he added the soy and spicy mayo right there on the spot. The bowl is huge! I couldn't finish it all at once. Great value! I will definitely be back! 10/10! Delicious food. I love the blend of Latin and Asian cuisine with many selections to choose from. Many vegetarian and vegan options to choose from also. Food fresh, prepared to order, and presented beautifully. The customer service is top tier. Very patient explaining the menu and tailoring rolls to your taste. I tried the Mexican roll, which consists of white tuna,cilantro,avocado,jalapeño topped with lime spicy mayo, and Sriracha. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered the spicy crunchy shrimp as well. My date ordered the vegetarian rolls and finished them before I could take a photo. No worries, we look forward to trying more menu items on our next visit. read more

Came in for lunch during the week and overall had a great experience. We got there right when it opened and we're quickly attended by the owner and chef. We saw a lot of people picking up to go orders and seems like the restaurant stays pretty busy. Our food was really fresh and we found the portions generous for the price. I am very disappointed in my meal. After spending over $40 on a sushi roll, chicken fried rice, and orange chicken to only throw it out was defeating. The orange chicken was watery and extremely chewy, the sushi was also watery and just did not taste right or fresh at all in my opinion and the rice was actually not terrible but comparable to Panda Express. I was super happy to find a great sushi place by Pilsen! I wish I had found this place sooner. I ordered the Mexican roll, Godzilla, and el volcano for the sushi. All 3 were very delicious, especially the Mexican roll. I love the Latin spin some of the options have. I also had the Mexican miso and the poke tostada. The miso was so delicious! Well I just had some delivery and it was not the best . The presentation was awful. Looked like they just threw it in the container . I had the spider roll not sure what type of leafy greens they put in it but it does not give it a good flavor it's too bitter besides that they're not that great. I eat a lot of sushi taste lotta sushi and it's probably the of the worst I ever ate I think sushi from Cermak produce is way better. The only thing I liked is that ginger was fresh . I've also had Ramen noodles I think I got soba noodles instead but the broth was delicious spicy not to salty good broth. I also orderr takoyaki (octopus balls) and they we're delicious .. Was here a few nights ago because the idea of Latin Japanese fusion sparked my interest. It was super busy the whole time we were there which took the food longer to arrive at the table. Few complaints to start, I ordered the ramen which was honestly not horribly bad but not good either and the chef forgot to pork belly along with a ramen spoon. When he came back with the spoon it was not even a traditional soup spoon which my roommate got for his miso soup but a small plastic spoon. Got two sushi rolls which were decent. Flavors blended well and presentation was good. Takoyaki had a small piece of squid in it but mostly filling which had decent flavor as well. Loved this idea, there's definitely some work that needs to be done but if you're someone who's not used to eating this type of food it will suffice for you which is why I'm giving the rating I am. read more

I went last month order a Mexican roll to go and it was disgusting. The rice was hard and dry. The avocado was turning brown and the tuna was chopped so sloppy. The presentation was awful. 3.5 stars. I had a sushi bowl the first time I came here and it was delicious! The second time, I had a sushi roll with a side of edamame which was also decent. A couple things that I didn't like: - this place is very understaffed. It took half an hour to fulfill my order and I only ordered three things! Staff was apologetic though, but still, they should consider hiring more people. - I never got my complimentary miso soup on the second visit and didn't bother the staff with it because they were already pretty busy. - they only have barstool seating; this assumes that all people are able-bodied and can easily sit on these. My grandma had a hard time hopping onto one of these stools and eating comfortably. - they only have disposable utensils, so there's a lot of waste being produced by this restaurant. Also, the plastic fork made it difficult to pick up any of the lettuce and other vegetables in my sushi bowl. - pricing was a bit high, which is understandable because there are no other competitors, so they can price items however they want. There's a lot that can be improved, but it's still with a visit! Especially, if you're from Little Village :) read more

I changed my review to zero star if I could ! I called at 2:20 pm for $40 worth of food ! The cashier told me 25 minutes, I arrived at 3:08pm. Upon arrival the lady tells me " I can only do two of your orders, not the six orders you had called in". Then she wanted me to wait another 5-10 minutes m! No reimbursement no sorry for wasting your time. The purpose of calling in your order is that your food will be ready for pickup! AS I WAS WALKING OUT, she then yells out " I said it was gonna be 25 minutes in the phone ." Disgruntled and disrespectful employee, what a waste of space. Obviously, that illiterate employee does not know how to tell time, since I had called 40 minute earlier !! Since working at the county jail , we order $100 of food EVERY week but you just lost this business! Rude disrespectful people is the reason why businesses do not have Loyal customers . This place is great! The staff is great and their food combining Japanese food with a hint of Mexican flare is so unique. I highly recommend the Samari which is a fried hand roll. I mistakenly took the long green jalapeño for green pepper. It's a great combination of texture with the fried outside, warm rice and cool cream cheese on the inside. Today I took my fiancé to Sora Temakeriae where they give a Mexican twist to traditional Japanese dishes and it's a must have if you want something new.
