Was very excited to try this ramen house on a cold winter day. The environment was great, but the entrance reeked of cigarettes and there were flies inside. The service was okay, although you are expected to serve your own water, pick up your food and put the dishes away. The spicy tonkatsu was a bit bland, but didn't have high expectations. Good for the area..
The fact that the ingredients are alfresh (to me) is really nice. I kean,whomever thought of Ramen and extra I gradients was a genius! You can't go wrong when it comes to taste and falvor. They pack their foods with tons of flavor so no one can ever say it's bland. I enjoy this particular restaurant as i have become an avid fan. Still 25 minutes away from me but trust and believe i don't mind. Service is always nice and the fact that you have a kiosk to order your food exactly how you'd like it always makes me happy. The workers are always so kind so make sure you tipster the cashiers area, they do workhard! And as always a 10 out of 10 for ambiance as they are always clean and well stocked on table Condiments.
Wu's has thee best Crab Rangoon I've tasted! It's has the perfect amount of crunch, they always stuff the crab filling to the max, and they are always fresh! If I only came to Wu's for the Crab Rangoon this review would be a 5 star. With that being said, the rest of the food is edible but has little flavor. I've tasted both the chicken and shrimp bowls. While the broth is good, the food inside the broth always leaves me desiring a bit more spice. The menu is pretty slight. There are only 8 entrees to choose from with a list of extras you can add to your broth. The service is more so do it yourself. You come in and order on an electronic menu, and you can pay there or at the counter if you want to add a drink. When your buzzer goes off you go up to grab your food and choose your own seat. Once you're finished there is a bussing station for your dirty plates, and the to go containers at the complimentary water station. The ambiance is relaxed. There are never too many people and they have some cute decor and accent walls. Originally the Orland Park Wu's taste better than Oak Lawn. However, Oak Lawn has stepped their game up a bit. Wu's is the only ramen restaurant I've experienced, so maybe the taste and limited options are industry wide.
This was soooooo good!! The best imitation crab I've ever had. Why they lost a point? There weren't enough veggies in my ramen but loved the seafood ramen bowl!!! I literally love corn in my ramen and I got like two pegs. LOL would have liked mushroom. I didn't get any bok choy but my daughter ordered the same exact dish and got some! What I ordered: We ordered the seafood ramen bowls. She added a second egg. I changed my broth to the creamy miso broth. It's sooooooo good I highly recommend! Why I will be back? I loved the cleanliness and order of this restaurant. The food is good and closer to home than Chinatown. We will be back!
A solid 3 because of the drinks. I had the passion fruit one and it was delicious. Can't say the same for the ramen. It wasn't very good, I had better ramen in other places. The other good thing about this place is that you can order on the machine. It's all self served. The place itself is very clean and it has a very modern vibe. The cashier was nice so service was good. I might comeback to get the rest of the menu, but the drinks are definitely the highlight of this place.
I'll admit I'm a hopeless ramen-tic. Wu's Ramen doesn't disappoint. While there's not a lot of points for ambience or service, the Ramen that is made in house is spot on. No alcohol, no frills. Ramen.
Ambience and Service - 2 stars I walked in to an unpleasant smell of dirty water. Debated on leaving but decided I would be open minded. Came in further and got a slight hint of stale food smell. Went to the kiosk to order my food for dine in. Screen says to "enter the table number." I went to the tables and didn't see any numbers. I asked the person at the counter and she explains and points but I couldn't understand her. She then says with an attitude "it's right in front of you" I go back to the kiosk and notice the numbered red pagers next to it. I proceed with my order and the screen says "someone will bring your food to you." I go to sit down. The pager begins to beep loudly and I sit waiting for someone to bring my food. I turn around and the woman signals me to come and get my food. Which I wouldn't mind but why did the kiosk say someone would bring me my food! Unnecessary confusion. Then, I notice "bussing" stations throughout the restaurant and that explained the bad smell. It's all self serve so they have stinky dish bins around their restaurant. They also play loud pop music and I thought that was weird and unnecessary. Food quality - 3.7 stars lol As for the food, I enjoyed my ramen. The portion was big enough for me to get 2 meals out of it. But some can probably finish it in one meal. I actually enjoyed my leftovers more as I didn't need to force myself to ignore a dirty dish smell...The crab Rangoon was okay. Their recipe is just a little too sweet for me. I prefer savory crab rangoon. It's also pricier than average. (I eat a lot of crab rangoon) Ramen was pricy too which it always is but at least at other places I get decent service. I don't mind the self serve concept but at the least, have clear instructions and if something isn't clear to a customer, don't be rude. I won't be back, just wanted to support a local spot. Another ramen place close by just opened and the reviews say the service is good so I will be trying them next. Glad this is no longer the only place in the area with ramen. I don't have it often though, so I'd be okay with just going to the city when I want ti go ti a decent spot.

The place on the inside was beautiful but unfortunately they did not keep up with the cleaning of the tables. They need to keep better watch of when a customer leaves. The cashier was a nice lady and we received our food pretty fast. I had the Beef Ramen and the flavor of the broth was light and savory. The vegetables were cooked through and the beef was sooooo tender and had a good flavor to it. I do wish they added more meat for the price they were charging. The seasoned egg along with the beef was the best part of the ramen. I also had the dragonfruit tea with strawberry boba and it was a delight to drink especially in this summer heat wave. Would I go there again? No, unfortunately it did not wow me enough to go back for another. Especially if they can't keep up their tables. I like to eat comfortably and not worry about my elbows touching a sticky table or feet stepping in food. read more
Saturday I was experiencing a scratchy throat, the onset of a sore throat. I ordered from here through Ubereats. The food is packed in a very sustainable bowl. The juice is packed separately in another plastic bowl. I had the chicken ramen bowl with added bok choy. The soup was good with a hearty taste similar to beef stew. Whatever the ingredients are, it completely did the job. My scratchy throat was gone the next day. read more

I love love love LOVE me a good ramen place, being from Salt Lake It's difficult finding your new "go to spot's" when traveling for work. But without a doubt this is my new Sunday hangover cure restaurant. Coming in you'll order of a computer screen which not only takes the pressure off of ordering your food, but also makes it much easier because of the pictures included on the screen to help the party, (especially those unfamiliar with ramen) to order what they'd like. To add to that, the boba was phenomenal. read more

Probably the best ramen I've ever had. Very fast service and it was everything I was wanting. I was nervous getting the spicy miso but it wasn't overbearing at all. Great heat level. read more
I was a bit worried because there were some bad reviews but honestly it was really good. For some reason ramen is pretty pricey everywhere and I don't know why because it's not a difficult concept. Broth, noodles, vegetables and some type of meat. Well this place isn't diff, about $15-$17 dollars a ramen soup. So I'd say that's the down side but the good thing is that the bien size isn't small. I've seen bigger but it definitely fills you up. I got the miso spicy pork and it was amazing! I think Chinatown has better ramen spots but if you want to stay around this area, then this place is a good option. The broth was good, the pork was nice and tender and the vegetables were good. I will definitely be coming back. I'd say the down side is it's a little pricey but many ramen places are, but it was really good. read more

If you're looking for ramen in the area look no further!! This is a great place for your fix. Very large portions and clean dine in area. Very impressed with the ordering system as you get to order through a terminal exactly what you want and don't want in your order. I also like not being rushed by a wait staff or interrupted during the meal. Definitely a go to on the south side of Chicago. read more

Hits the spot! Yummy broth and an abundance of noodles. The crab Rangoon had a super creamy filling. The machine you use to order was easy to use and the food came out quick. The restaurant was nice and clean. Will be back! read more

(-1 star for the confusing ordering system) The ramen itself is delicious. While some might complain about the price.. it's actually pretty standard to all other ramen places I've been to in the north side. About the ramen.jts actually pretty delicious, my bf added some extra chicken to his bowl. The bowl might look small but it's SOO FILLING! We both actually took left overs home. I had the miso ramen it is so good it's warm and delicious my order is The noodles extra green onions corn two shrimps two crab legs and extra pork the pork is usually crispy and chewy I sometimes put a little chilly oil. read more

Wu's wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable either. 2 stars: Shoyu ramen = broth was fair, plenty of stuff in the bowl, but bland. Prices are steep--I've paid less for much better quality. And to order, they have those touchpad kiosks which expose your fingers to everything other people have touched. Recent article about touchpads at McD said they were covered in... stuff you don't want on your hands. I prefer ordering via waitresses. And they don't share the savings from touchpads with the customer. It's worth one trip if you are local, and haven't had this type of cuisine before, and if you have antiseptic wipes for your hands after ordering. This would be a cool date place for high schoolers. It wasn't packed, but had a good number of customers. The interior design and atmosphere was pleasant. I forgot to check the bathroom to see if they had paper towels. And Wu's sounds Chinese but ramen is Japanese. That bugged me from the get go. Wu's is a chain. There was another noodle chain near Clark & Broadway. I went to that one only once too. Go to the Little Saigon neighborhood at Argyle & Broadway for the best broth-cuisine in Chicago. I'm going to try Pho 888 on Argyle next time I head north. read more
